Instead of going for the treasure chests, Rainman Legends and Maxim confront the bushes while akela stands there, tapping his feet and hoping that rocks do not fall and his team mates do not die.

Maxim and Rainman Legends then investigate the bushes to be met with a pair of red eyes, indicating a hostile target. Maxim orders his Salamence to Dragon Claw the hostile creature, only for the creature to pop out behind and reveal itself as a Gloom. Two Bellsprout then jump out in an attempt to ambush the Salamence and the Dragonite only for akela to rush in to stop the interference and spoil their surprise. The three trainers find themselves surrounded by the three rather weak opponents. It looks like some brute force will be needed to beat these three.

Bellsprout B: Acid > Acid

Realising they are surrounded, the protagonists unleash their weapons and while the Gloom dodges the Salamence's wave of fire, the Bellsprout were not as lucky and eventually fell before they could even attack after the Pinsir's barrage of rocks and the Dragonite's use of air to attack. The Gloom responds with shining lights that chip the squad for a little damage before the team struck back. The Salamence rams the Gloom and the Pinsir slashes it. The Dragonite lets off a breath of fire but the miss from earlier helped the Gloom survive the onslaught to let off another bright attack.

The Gloom looks badly wounded but is still willing to fight, angry as ever. The treasure chests survived the ordeal strangely. If you are feeling game, you could also attempt to run on the Gloom.

Well the protagonists had the game won, only for the Gloom to block the Dragonite's attack before smacking the Dragonite with a powerful blow for trying. The other Pokémon did basically nothing.

Meanwhile, Maxim checks the treasure chests out and there is clearly no locks on either and neither chest seems to be dangerous. akela stands guard for hostile sources, though there already is a hostile source in the form of a Gloom smacking the Dragonite around.

After putting up some resistance, the Gloom gives up as the Dragonite swoops in and finishes the Gloom off, ending the combat.

Meanwhile, Maxim and akela turn their attention to the treasure chests in the area. Maxim opens one of the three and finds a carved piece of wood with metal on it which resembles something of a key. Could this be the key to the Labyrinth? Well we can only find out later on. akela then opens another chest and finds a stone with a leaf engraved on it. Maybe it could be useful to evolve something or just hold? Well there is only one treasure chest left and the only way out of the room is still unchanged from before.

With nothing else but an unopened Treasure Chest left, the three explorers head back where they came from.

When they arrive in the second room yet again, they come back to nothing new with the same old same old inhabitants doing the same things. Maxim goes to the nothern door and checks to see if the key will fit in the pedestal but alas, it does not. It looks like you need something else!

Maxim is a king of rushing and multitasking... So he leads the team back to an unchanged first room and then gets on his Salamence. The Salamence uses some energy to then take him up to the western high ledge before dismounting. Maxim then uses the key on the door that he tried to burn down many moons ago and shock horror, it opens! Sure he loses the key now but there is a new room to go through alongside the path to the east they have not went down yet. Though there is one issue now: Getting everyone up onto the high ledges.

What do now?
