Because an odd night just passed along, if we let Altair live, then he can potentially take down another villager. However, if we lynch him today then we can save a villager from dying at night. There was some confusion as it seemed the village wanted to lynch both aamto and supermarth64, but then Pidge said, everyone lynch supermarth64! With no further debate to be heard except from the television and a lone dissenting voice from Altair, everyone rushed supermarth64, putting an end to his dastardly tactics by defeating him in a Pokemon battle.
