Some of you may have noticed that I've filled in a lot of the blanks, finding Brightpowder, Lax Incense, Lum Berry, Chesto Berry, Persim Berry (Outrage galore lol), and some other shit. Brightpowder/Lax Incense is the only stuff I'm really not sure about, I spent like 20 minutes cross-referencing the old BT and I'm pretty sure I have them right even though it appears that they've replaced 736 Walrein's DP Brightpowder with Lax Incense, but whatever.

This should help those of you who are playing the PT BF right now (I'm sure TRE has a streak of like 300 already). What I would like, though, is for those of you playing, if possible, to determing whether Natures are actually random or if they are set as the PT database would indicate. Obviously the DP moveset list pulled Natures too and it was not accurate, so I suspect the same may be true here, whether or not that's a "good" thing.

It seems like that should be easy enough for the people who have the game since you can check the Nature Moves Items and Stats in the battle factory (at least according to serebii)

yeah start the palace, write down the initial pokémon stats, soft reset, repeat...that´s how I got all the battle emerald battle 1-7 movesets (and proof for the fact that the IVs started at 3)

OR

play multi-tower, choose the same partner and write down the stats (this is how I got proof for random natures in the DP tower), soft reset, repeat...this one is probably faster because there are less trainer/pokémon options (assuming that the platinum multi-tower works the same way as DP)

I´m pretty sure you can only see the battle status window of your partner´s pokémon, which means you don´t "see" the nature...I´m not sure about palace though

also, the item numbers are really, really probably somewhere on the internet, sorted "chronologically" or however this place does it, i just havent looked for that yet. would be cool if someone found that somewhere but i will probably look myself eventually instead of using deduction and comparing to the DP BT list

I have the list for DP. I'm not sure if it's the same for Platinum. It should be the same. The new Platinum items are obviously not on the list. I believe 112-134 don't actually correspond to an item, but I'm not 100% sure on this.

Good work TRE, I've updated the list on the first page. Thankfully I was right about the items I'd been able to find so far...

Now all that's left is for someone to make sense of those wacky numbers they have for EV spreads—deduction and cross-referencing with the DP BT allowed me to figure out the ones I did but the numbers really don't seem to follow any pattern that I can discern (by arranging the six EVable stats in a grid like with the Type effectiveness chart). 18 does seem to be reserved for pokemon with both physical attacks and special attacks, and 20 on "slow" pokemon with special but not physical attacks, but i'm kind of tired of trying to make sense of it both because it probably isnt possible without like hours of deduction and comparison and because there's probably an "easy" way for the rom or whatever to be hacked

To decode the EVs, you need to convert the number from base 10 to binary. If the number is smaller than 6 digits, puts 0s on th the left side until you get a six digit number.

6 -> 110 -> 000110

Each of the digits corresponds to one of the six stats. I'm not currently at home so don't have the order on me at the moment. If the digit is a 1, the Pokemon has EV in the stat, if it's a 0, the Pokemon does not have any EV in the stat. I believe the EVs always total 512 and are always split evenly, but I'm not sure on this. I'll try to post more detailed info when I get home.

Nah that's cool I get it. Would never have thought of binary (probably because I majored in English lol), how did you know that/figure that out?

I've updated the list for the last time...it's sorted alphabetically which I think is better than numerically cause if you're looking for a pokemon you already know what its name is and the Tier (if the Trainers use pokemon similarly to how DP did) will let you find its number pretty instantly since it'll be at most three lines away from which Gyarados or Tyranitar or Skuntank you're looking at...but if anyone wants the numerical order I can do that too I guess. With a concrete spreadsheet now I don't think it will be hard at all to throw this up on the site as I mentioned yesterday so you can sort by whatever.

I think I'm glad that the Outrage Dragonite is CBed because my Lopunny team had to Charm them all but in DP it had a Persim Berry which meant it could use EQ on Lucario which sucked...this one is going to use Superpower on Lopunny because 240 > 180 and I won't care at all, etc. Also:

499 Dugtrio Modest Lax Incense Earth Power Sludge Bomb Tri Attack Sandstorm SpA/Spe

oh no

how did you know that/figure that out?

Having different bits in a byte reprense different information is a pretty common practice. How I knew it applied here was because I've looked at how the Battle Tower Pokemon were stored in DP's game data. The person who released the information regarding the DP Battle tower Pokemon pretty much kept the information in the same order it appears in in the game's data so it was pretty easy to determine how it was represented in the game's code.

I think I'm going to have to bust out emerald and breed for this...

Before I start I want to get a bit of feedback on what to use. Here's what I'm thinking. (Battle tower and Battle Factory aren't included of course)

Stage- I'm thinking a Garchomp/Latios/Starmie... Something that KOs alot but can take a hit. SpecsStar comes to mind since I already have a semi-decent one.

Roulette- Heracross comes to mind with it's guts abuse. Trick Room screws it up... Maybe an aromatherapy Blissey... I don't know, there are too many things that can go wrong =/

Castle- Recover Starmie? Wishpassing? Is it necessary? Or will I be able to stay healthy using points?

Also, how the fuck do I beat the factory? I keep getting crap like confusion kadabra and then on the 14th battle get tossed against camerupts and such with GOOD moves....
