I would like to argue for Armaldo. Armaldo is a great offesnsive and Defensive Pokemon and has really good typing, I run:

move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Rock Polish
move 3: Stone Edge
move 4: X-Scissor
EVs: 104 HP / 184 Atk / 220 Spe
nature: Jolly
item: Life Orb
ability: Battle Armor

If you look at the calcs below, Armaldo can take hits and dish em out with this set, It can also run a support set. Im too tired too write a better argument so just please consider it and if you aren't sure I'll try again tomorrow.

Crustle outclass it offensively due to Shell Smash, allowing it to boost up to +4/+4 in the time Armaldo to get to +2/+2. Also, since it requires only 1 set-up attack, it can free up another slot for an additional coverage attack like Earthquake.
Kabutops outclass it support wise due to greater speed and arguably better typing

I've finally found some time to play around with a few Pokemon on the unfit list last night that people have brought up a few times (on a top secret alt hush hush)

I've determined that Crustle and Carracosta are good enough to get an analysis. All others on the list are probably going to stay there until something really major happens to the metagame. Cheers.

OK, from the post that Oglemi posted im guessing that Armaldo has been rejected, but I am going to go on with this as i don't think you really understand the point of the set I said. First of all, I would like you to look at a set already (2/3) QC accepted for OU called Double Dance Haxorus. The poster said that the point of the set was to setup on offensive threats with the Speed-boosting move (in this case Rock Polish) and set up on Defensive Pokemon with the Attack boosting move (in this case Swords Dance), THATS how Armaldo breaks teams down, not by trying to wait for a time where you are able to set up, its about using the right time to set up. Sure, you need alot of prediction on switches, but all you need is a Spinner and a hazard setter, then he can start taking advantage and slowly breaking the opponent's team. Second, it's not outclassed by Crustle in the slightest, Crustle has 95 Attack comparing to Armaldo's 125, and while their Speed stats are the same, their boosting moves is what sets them apart. With Shell Smash, you half your defenses, and I know that Crustle is incredibly physically bulky, it's Special Bulk is extremely low, and if you happen to get hit by a special attack, super effective or not (in some cases, not very effective even KOs it at -1). Third, I agree with one part of your post, it's outclassed as a support Pokemon. While Kabutops is indeed frail, Armaldo doesn't have Priority or the speed stat to be as good as Kabutops is. Finally, there's one HUGE thing it has over Crustle; Swift Swim. With Swift Swim it can effectively counter and be a sweeper on Rain teams, thus freeing up a spot for another move.

Over PM me and Oglemi talked about it for a little, and he said that if I get logs that aren't against retarded players, then she would accept it. I will get those logs soon enough.

Lol Oglemi's a guy... Also Crustle has Sturdy, which Armaldo doesn't. Shell Smash is simply more convenient than say, Rock Polish and Swords Dance. With Stone Edge and X-scissor as its only coverage moves, Armaldo gets walled by Steel-types. Crustle can effectively run a thrid coverage move (Earthquake) to deal with pesky Steel-types. In addition, because Crustle has Sturdy, it can run a White Herb set, remedying its lowered defenses. Granted, Armaldo has greater Attack, but after a boost, the difference is negligible. Armaldo will rarely get a chance to actually dent something after a Swords Dance, as it is pitifully slow. As for the Double Dance set you mentioned for Haxorus, it is a great user of that set because of its absolutely MASSIVE attack stat and access to a very high-powered STAB move. In addition, it has Mold Breaker, which gives it near-perfect coverage, and allows it to break through Sturdy, etc. What does Armaldo have? Battle Armor? >.> and Swift Swim? lol

EDIT: How exactly is Swift Swim a counter to Rain Teams? All the common Swift Swimmers outspeed it and have STAB Water-type moves to rape it.

First of all, Crustle has sturdy, but with every other team packing some form of hazards or Hail, what is it going to do? And Sturdy will probably be used only when Crustle is setting up, only letting it get 1 attack off, and plus if you are facing a Choice Scarf user, it will simply KO Crustle after. Armaldo has a massive attack stat too, and a powerful move that you don't get locked into. And I typed that wrong on the Rain team thing, Armaldo counters the things that counter rain team counters (God that didn't make any sense, did it?) so, in practice, it's basically a stronger Kabutops with better bulk without priority and a bug typing.

Also, Haxorus actually has a usable Speed stat to Swords Dance, while Armaldo doesn't these are literally the only things Armaldo outspeed

Furthermroe, regarding Swift Swim, without Drizzle, would anyone even bother with stall sets? Obviously if anyone were to run that in UU, it would be a team full of Swift Swimmers, and i want to see you outspeed any of them

I think Gardevoir should get an analysis.
QC reject 0/3.

Gardevoir isn't terrible, but it's quite underwhelming. The big weakness is that it's not easy to switch in. Its special bulk is rather wasted on its typing, and while (with my team at least) status effects and screens are great, I've generally found that it's better to use entry hazards first.

It still has its fun spots, e.g. it can Trace Flash Fire and force Chandelure out, or hit Machamp with a 100% accurate WoW (not to mention whoever switches in afterwards). Healing Wish is a really strong move that pairs very well with Focus Sash Alakazam; if you do not lose Focus Sash the first time round you get a second chance to sweep with Zam. The sets it can run cannot be mirrored by any other Pokemon bar Smeargle, which makes it unique and not outclassed in any way. After everything's said and done though, when I look at my team, the weakest link is Gardevoir.

Gardevoir being underwhelming hasn't stopped me from reaching top 100 on the ladder (1205 rating at time of posting), and I suppose it's still a better Pokemon than Raichu and Jumpluff, but I can't put something through QC if I believe it's underwhelming in the first place. If anyone else wants to do it, please go ahead

frankly, reaching top 100 on the ladder is very, very easy to do right now, considering that there are pretty much no good players on. when laddering due to suspect testing starts, feel free to say how high you got, but for now, it's pointless.

also, it does not force out non-specs chandelure (which a lot of people seem to have been advocating); chandelure just OHKOes it with shadow ball...

Yes, that's why Gardevoir is not a good check to Chandelure, especially since there's no guarantee Chandelure will be using Flash Fire. It's funny when it works, but no more.

Also I can tell which of my team are doing the work at beating teams. Gardevoir does a bit, occasionally (stress occasionally, because far more often I'm setting up hazards with free turns) spreading status and more often pulling off Healing Wish. But it's certainly contributing the least of all my team, which is why I'm rejecting it. For now, anyway. Maybe someday I'll get around to building a team that's totally focused around Gardevoir (no Spikes or w/e) and it might work then, but until then I'm dropping the idea.

Please consider Glaceon for an analysis ... it's slow as hell, but its Blizzards are the strongest in the tier. With a Scarf, it outruns most unboosted Pokemon (beats out Alakazam iirc) and with hail support it can deal quite a bit of damage. Its movepool is extremely barren, but with a BP 120 STAB attack with great offensive typing off 130 SpA, should not be complaining, no?

I agree; glaceon is probably deserving of an analysis. ice body is a fantastic ability in hail and glaceon is actually quite strong. not sure if scarf or specs is better (specs + 130 base SpA = lol; glaceon actually has nice bulk too), but each has its advantages.

ideally, something like:

blizzard/hp (fighting or electric or ground; something to hit empoleon with)/Ice Beam (if sandstorm is up, glaceon is not anywhere near as useless)/Baton Pass or Shadow Ball

would be best.

conversely, you could go the stallrein route; pity heal bell is incompatible with ice body, though.

You know, I actually had second thoughts a short while after making that post. The reason is that Glaceon has an important competitor: Rotom-F. If we compare Glaceon vs. Rotom-F -

+ Glaceon is slightly bulkier (65/110/95 vs. 50/107/107)
+ Glaceon gets Ice Body, a fantastic ability in hail
+ Glaceon has higher SpA (130 vs. 105)
+ Glaceon learns Ice Beam for use outside of hail
- Rotom-F is considerably faster. Glaceon must run Timid or it fails to outrun base 120s, but Rotom-F can run Modest + Scarf and be almost as powerful. For comparison, speed stats are then 377 vs. 407 while SpA stats are 359 vs. 339.
- Awesome secondary STAB with Thunderbolt
- Not to mention a few extra resistances with no extra weaknesses thanks to Levitate, which is a fantastic ability in general that rivals Ice Body
- Volt Switch. Glaceon gets Baton Pass, but it doesn't deal damage.
- Access to Trick

Frankly this does not bode well for Scarf Glaceon. It could still go Specs I suppose and spam Modest Specs Blizzard in hail (ouch!), but then there are still Pokemon that can take Blizzard easily and hit back e.g. Snorlax, Milotic, Chansey, Suicune, Empoleon ...

Maybe I'll try a team with both Glaceon and Rotom-F sometime, although with Abomasnow forced and Froslass (almost certainly) too good to give up, that's four Ice types in the team *shudder*.

Bumping this, because from my testing Glaceon's been quite good even with Rotom-F as a competitor. Ice Body does a fair bit to differentiate the two, and although an alternative STAB Thunderbolt is nice and all, because Blizzard is so strong - a singly resisted STAB Blizzard is still 90 base power - that move is the one that's used most often, and nobody spams Blizzard like Glaceon.

Bumping this again, because the more I use Glaceon the more I'm convinced it deserves an analysis. Rotom-F has nice secondary moves, but what the heck: aside from bulky Water types like Suicune, you attack with Blizzard. In fact with the team I'm running, even if my opponents have Pokemon like Darmanitan or Arcanine or Chandelure in reserve, I attack with Blizzard. Glaceon's Blizzard does so much damage, it 2HKOes offensive variants of all three with SR, and with Scarf it outspeeds all of them either (unless they are Scarfed too). Ice Body helps a lot with forcing the opponent to do something instead of switch around with resistances, and it helps Glaceon survive priority hits too.

Not to mention that LO Shaymin fails to OHKO with Seed Flare (for example), and that's one of the strongest non-SE STAB attacks out there.

I think Glaceon deserves an analysis. Please consider it.

I agree that Glaceon deserves an analysis and I have no idea how it ended up on the list in the first place. You can go ahead and start an analysis (or someone else if you don't want to).

By the way, triple posting is not the right way to go about getting QC's attention.

Sorry about that. What is the way the get QC's attention then? I know Chou read my posts already, and it's been 3 days since I made the first post, so I assumed no response was made because there wasn't enough convincing arguments for Glaceon, and I made them.

I'll reserve Glaceon :)

I believe Rampardos should have an analysis, here is my argument.

Argument 1: The Tier

Pros: With Hippowdon now existing in UU, Rampardos works extremely well for Sandstorm. Though it's defenses are lackluster at best, the boost from sandstorm to its SpD is very welcome, and Rampardos can take advantage of the Sand.

Cons: This tier is filled with myriad Fighting/Steel/Ground types. However, Rampardos does have moves that can deal with these types, as well as the Water and Grass types that can hit it super-effectively.

Argument 2: The Stats

Pros: You would have to be blind to ignore a base 165 Atk. This enormous number leaves you with 429 Atk with a neutral nature. Take in consideration that with an Adamant nature it would have 471 Atk, and you have a monster on your hands. It's HP is also descent, with a base 97, which works well with the boost to SpD that comes from Sandstorm. Though it should still be mentioned that Rampardos still has trouble taking Special hits.

Cons: Speed, the one killer for Rampardos. Base 58 Spe sucks worse than a black hole. It does have options though, as things such as a Choice Scarf or a Rock Polish set can remedy the terrible speed, or a TR team could destroy the need of a remedy for its speed. The other main killer for Rampardos is its Def stat. Beating standard Blissey by only 26 points is a major letdown (this assuming Rampardos has no Defensive investment.)

Argument 3: Moveset

Pros: This thing has a plethora of options available. Head Smash and Stone Edge are both amazing STAB moves, and coming off of its fantastic Atk, they deal a lot of damage. Earthquake is really awesome when you factor in Mold Breaker. Zen Headbutt is a pretty nice coverage move, and moves such as Iron Head and Brick Break can be used for additional coverage.

Cons: Rampardos wants desperately to abuse its other options. Moves such as Toxic or Roar would work well, but the lack of a descent Def stat kills any usage. Rampardos also has an amazing Special movepool, all three elemental beams as well as moves like Surf and Focus Blast make for an awesome moveset. Sadly, its SpA is about as low as its Def, and can not abuse the amazing options it has outside of a very gimmiky set.

I think that Shuckle deserves a UU analysis. My reasons for this theory:

1. The Hippowdon Effect

With Hippowdon being relegated to UU with Sand Stream, a very useful ability, Shuckle's already Jaw-dropping 230 Special Defense stat can be put 50% higher, and nothing in UU can get past it in a Sandstorm.

2. That Sweeping Set

Made famous by TheFlamingSpade on his Youtube channel, a sweeping set utilizing Power Share, Defense Curl and Rollout is a viable set in the metagame. (If you haven't seen the video, click here.)

Some arguments against the above idea's:

1. Shuckle's lackluster HP doesn't help Shuckle's quest to be invincible, and a shocking movepool (with enough for a Toxic Stall set) and lack of useful abilities doesn't help Shuckle either.

2. Slightly gimmicky set, and need solid prediction skills, and this was a reason why TheFlamingSpade and only senior Smogonites may succeed using this set. For example, with a standard set-up sweeper, you can just need to know how to properly support the sweeper, know how to use Swords Dance/Nasty Plot/whatever at the right time and your away. Shuckle need's a bit more than that.

Overall, I think Shuckle is a worthy Pokemon to have analysed in the UU tier.

It's HP is also descent, with a base 97, which works well with the boost to SpD that comes from Sandstorm. This would give Rampardos 272 SpD without investment.
Sandstorm increases SpD by 50%, it doesn't double it (it has an uninvested stat of 136). Even with Sandstorm Rampardos isn't taking a special hit without investment.

Fixed that, however, I still believe Rampardos is viable. Choice Scarf and Agility sets could be very viable.

You can post a thread on Rampardos, but it may end up rejected, just a heads up!

Shuckle gets a big ol' no from me
