[OVERVIEW]
Primeape's good combination of Speed, Attack, and offensive Fighting typing makes Primeape a real powerhouse. It's speed distinctively sets it apart from Hitmonchan being able to outpace base 80's and 90's like Mesprit, Rotom-S, and Shiftry. Defiant gives Primeape the ability to punish and pressure Defoggers making it great with Spike stackers. Primeape also resist Sucker Punch, making it a good offensive check to Shiftry and even Kangaskhan being able to pressure them with U-turn and Close Combat respectively. Primeape is also good at pressuring Shiftry to not use Defog. While Primeape's speed tier is good, it isn't perfect meaning it can get outsped by many common Pokemon like Archeops, Charizard, and Floatzel. Primeape also suffers from poor defenses letting it get revenge killed through priority and faster Pokemon quite easily. Primeape also has a hard time denting bulky Poison and Psychic-types which can give up free switch ins. It also contributes absolutely no defensive synergy to your team and wants support from Skuntank, hazards, and other Pokemon to remove Psychic-types.

Moves
========

Close Combat is Primeape's strongest move which is good for nailing Steel, Rock, and Normal-types. Close Combat also scores a lot of KOs on neutral hits as well like KOing Samurott and Hariyama after rocks. U-turn can catch an opponent on the switch allowing your team to get the edge, and because it is a Bug-type move, Primeape is able to instantly threaten Malamar and Shiftry and deal a good amount of damage to Psychic-types. Earthquake is able to hit Garbodor as it stops Primeape from taking residual damage and stops Garbodor from getting free Spikes. Stone Edge targets down Flying-types like Pelliper, Mantine, and Xatu. Gunk Shot is an alternatuve that gives Primeape coverage against Mega Audino but also hits Clefairy and Tangela.

Set Details
========

Choice Band alongside max Attack EVs gives the punch Primeape needs to efficiently wallbreak. Max Speed with a Jolly nature makes it so Primeape can outspeed positive speed boosting nature base 90's like Lilligant and Kangaskhan. An Adamant doesn't benefit Primeape since it doesn't snag any extra kills or allow it to get passed its checks. Defiant is usually Primeape's go to choice for an ability as it can gain a free boost from Defog, which is perfect for teams that use Spikes. Memento also doesn't affect Primeape as it will just get boosted back to neutral after recieving the drops. Vital Spirit is a cool alternative making it so Primeape can come in on a predicted Sleep Powder from Pokemon like Vileplume and Lilligant.

Usage Tips
========

Due to Primeape's frailness, it should never be switching into strong attackers. Instead try to get in via slow VoltTurn or Baton Pass. Use Primeape early on to dent the opponents team early to mid game so late game sweepers like Tauros and Swellow can have a much easier time cleaning up. If your opponent has something that can switch into Close Combat with ease like Vileplume and Weezing it is best to just use U-turn as you can snag some momentum on the switch, but be careful when deciding what move to lock yourself into. If running Defiant try to use Primeape to pressure Defog users like Prinplup and Mantine, do be wary that they might attack predicting Primeape to come in instead of using Defog which can weaken Primeape a lot. If your team lacks a dedicated lead then Primeape can often find itself being the first Pokemon out because if it has a bad match-up, it can easily just U-turn out.

Team Options
========

Late game sweepers that appreciate having Rock and Steel-types removed like Linoone, Swellow, and Tauros couple well with Primeape. Partners that also use U-turn and Volt Switch like Scyther and Rotom synergize well since they can get Primeape in on the right turn and force a lot switches which combines well with hazards. Hazard setters like Garbodor and Omastar work extremely well with Primeape as it often forces switches and the opponent will take more and more chip damage from the spikes. Omastar in particular can set up Spikes on Pokemon that check Primeape like Scythed and Swords Dance Charizard with the exception of Xatu. Pokemon that can control hazards like Xatu and Claydol go well with Primeape as it is constantly switching in and out and does not like taking continuous chip damage. Skuntank with Pursuit complements Primeape rather nicely as it can help to remove Psychic and Ghost-types who can come in on Primape's Close Combats. Shiftry can help to threaten Ghost and Psychic-types for Primeape as Primeape removes Ferroseed which is annoying for Shiftry. Shiftry can also use Extrasensory to lure in Poison-types which gives both of these Pokemon trouble.

Moves
========

Close Combat is a good STAB move that is reliable for revenge killing Pokemon like Kangaskhan and Modest Shell Smash Omastar. U-turn catches Pokemon switching out allow you to get the edge. It also hits Jynx, Lilligant, and Mesprit with super-effective damage and almost OHKOes Malamar from full HP. Earthquake targets Fire- and Poison-types, the latter which can come in on Primeape's Close Combat's comfortably. Stone Edge gives it the edge over Flying-types like Scyther and Rotom-Fan.

Set Details
========

Choice Scarf with max Speed investment allows it to outspeed as much as possible. Max Attack EVs give Primeape a lot more punch to its attacks. Jolly is used so you can outspeed +1 Jolly Lilligant and +2 Barbaracle but Adamant gives Primeape a bigger boost to its power. Defiant lets it abuse the stat drops from Defog and Intimidate while Vital Spirit can let Primeape switch into Sleep Powder.

Usage Tips
========

Primeape works very well as a lead because if it ends up in an unfavorable match-up it can just use U-turn and get out. Primeape also works very well under the role of a revenge killer so if it is needed to pick up a kill on something faster than the rest of your team it should be preserved till the situation arises. Opponents who have switch ins to Primeape's Close Combats will usually switch out into them so it is best to use U-turn so you don't have to forfeit any turns, but prediction is required when selecting your move as your opponent may not switch out into there fighting resist. When using Defiant, Primeape should be used to pressure defoggers. Come in when you predict your opponent to use Defog but be careful as some defoggers like Prinplup and Pelipper won't always be OHKOed even at +2 attack. Primeape can also work efficiently as cleaning late game since it does have decent power and outspeeds the majority of the metagame.

Team Options
========

Choice Scarf Primeape should be used on teams that need a revenge killer with Fighting-type attacks and momentum. The main reason being that without Choice Band it loses a lot of power not letting it get certain 2HKO's that might be important for your team to have such as not being able to pick off Regirock or Steelix as easilly. Teammates that appreciate having faster attackers removed like Pyroar and Swellow are great choices for partners. Some examples would be Pokemon like Samurott, Aurorus, and Zangoose who are outspeeded by some of the metagames faster threats. Normal-types love having Steel and Rock-types weakened since there STABs are resisted by those types, Kangaskhan and Tauros being two notable examples. Partners that also utilize U-turn or Volt Switch synergize well with Primeape since they can shuffle between each other giving there opponent a hard time to get the edge. Pokemon that lay down hazards like Cacturne and Omastar help Primeape since it often forces switches on the opponents side and it is able to rack up a lot of chip damage.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Thunder Punch hits Mantine and Pelipper harder and has higher accuracy than Stone Edge but in return is much weakens its matchup against Scyther. Ice Punch hits Gourgeist-XL, Golurk, and Torterra, the former two being immune to Close Combat. Fist Plate + Encore can be used to help bluff Choice Band while also stopping set-up sweepers in there tracks. Punishment hits Ghost and Psychic-types, especially if they are using Calm Mind or Nasty Plot like Mismagius and Musharna. Substitute + Focus Punch can be used to block Toxic and Thunder Wave from slower Pokemon while dealing a hefty amount of damage. Although its Substitute are often broken by weak uninvested moves anyway.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Poison-types**: Pokemon like Garbodor, Vileplume, and Weezing give Primeape trouble since they all resist Primeape's most valuable move. Not to mention Weezing and Vileplume aren't weak to Earthquake while Garbodor and Vileplume can issue Primeape with Rocky Helmet damage and a status effect from Effect Spore respectively.

**Ghost-types**: These Pokemon fear none of Primeape's moves and are immune to its STAB allowing them to deal large amounts of damage or spread status effects like burns and paralysis. Defensive Rotom and Gourgeist-XL being the most notable ones.

**Flying-types**: Most common Flying-types like Scyther outspeed non Choice Scarf Primeape and pursue to launch a STAB attack which will be a free KO. Others like Xatu and Rotom-Fan can also switch into Close Combats pretty easily. Even though they resist Primeape's STAB they must all be wary of Stone Edge

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-types like Mesprit and Musharna resist Primeape's Close Combats but they do not appreciate having to take U-turns.

**Faster Pokemon**: Primeape has very little bulk meaning practically anything faster than it with decent attack can either deal a large amount of damage or just straight out OHKO Primeape. Choice Scarf Scyther and Choice Scarf Pyroar are two examples of Pokemon who can outspeed both of Primeape's variants and OHKO.

**Physically Bulky Pokemon**: Physically bulky Pokemon can take Primeape's moves if they are neutral from the scarf set as it lacks the power boost from Choice Band. Although these Pokemon cannot safely switch in until they have identified which set is being run.

In the overview, be specific about how its Speed and Fighting-type are its selling points; i.e, it outspeeds other offensive threats such as Kangaskhan and Kabutops that Hitmonchan misses out on (and everything else with a Scarf) and it doesn't need to boost to be threatening like Combusken. Elaborate on how U-turn lets it bypass a lot of traditional Fighting-type checks such as Mesprit and Musharna with good prediction (although it probably won't KO them outright).

For the CB set, elaborate that Close Combat hits pretty much everything that doesn't resist it hard and give some examples of neutral OHKOs, such as Hariyama and Samurott after SR, not just super-effective hits. U-Turn is also notable as it always forces Shiftry and Malamar out (due to Primeape resisting Sucker Punch), basically guaranteeing a good matchup against these targets even if they switch out. Mention that Earthquake is pretty much mandatory for making sure that Garbodor can't stack residual damage on you and set up hazards for free. I wouldn't mention Gunk Shot hitting Ludicolo and Lilligant; U-turn / Close Combat already do enough and you don't want Gunk Shot to miss. Clefairy and Tangela are the move's only other real targets, but hitting Mega Audino is a good enough niche in its own right.

252 Atk Choice Band Primeape U-turn vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Ludicolo: 264-312 (87.7 - 103.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock
252 Atk Choice Band Primeape U-turn vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Lilligant: 248-294 (88.2 - 104.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

In set details, maybe say something like the extra power from Adamant doesn't help it break past its counters or something. Punishing Defog is definitely the main reason for using Defiant; Intimidate Mawile should be pushed back if it's mentioned at all. In fact, I'd argue that Defiant deserves a mention in the Overview for helping out spike-stacking teams, especially considering you mention Spikers in team options. Sure it doesn't stop Defog, but a +2 Primeape can make up for it late-game, and spike-stacking teams can force mons like Pelipper into using the move instead of just throwing out Scalds if you pressure them properly.

Defiant / Defiant on Choice Scarf is amusing but should probably change. :p

Again, don't recommend using Stone Edge on Swellow when Scarf Close Combat OHKOes without Rocks. Charizard and Rotom-S are much more relevant targets. Talk more about specific U-turn targets (shame Sceptile's gone).

252 Atk Primeape Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Swellow: 255-300 (97.7 - 114.9%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO

In usage tips I would also specifically say not just to spam U-turn at every opportunity with the Scarf set. Scarf's main downfall is that it's forced to use U-turn so much in the early game if the opponent has a good Fighting-check like defensive Mesprit or Weezing, the opponent is often actually safe leaving their mon in to get a free attack off or even set up (especially when Scarf CC doesn't outright KO, such as against Floatzel, Ludicolo, or Samurott). This makes Scarf Primeape highly reliant on prediction to be useful.

In other options mention that Ice Punch hits Gourgeist-XL, Torterra, and Golurk harder than any other move.

In checks and counters maybe mention physically bulky pokemon in general can stop the Scarf set. Quagsire and Torterra can just outright stall out Close Combat unless they are significantly weakened thanks to their recovery options.

Good job, this is solid. QC 1/3

not qc but jolly should definitely be slashed before adamant on the scarf set b/c the power increase really isn't noticeable (i think its like a ~5 or 6% drop) whereas the ability to outspeed adamant barbaracle at +2 is invaluable. also i dont think that gunk shot should be slashed on the scarf set because its even more piss weak than normal and does like negative damage to mega audino. it should still get a moves mention tho b/c of the point about lilligant

Wandering Wobbuffet

formerly Based Honker
Add extrasensory shiftry to team options due to its fantastic ability of easily luring weezing as well as taking on psychic and ghost types which give primeape issues while in return primeape destroys steel types like ferroseed.

- Agreeing with Evan that Gunk Shot should be removed from Scarf.

- Hazards should be mentioned as team support for Choice Band Primeape too. Mention that Omastar can also set up Spikes on a lot of Pokemon that wall Primeape, so they are very effective partners.

- Mention that it resists Sucker Punch in Overview, as that's really important as it's an offensive Pokemon that doesn't mind Shiftry (also emphasize that Ape is one of the best offensive checks to Shiftry bc it OHKOs with U-turn, gets +2 from Defog, and can take a Sucker Punch as long as Shiftry is unboosted) / Kanga after the 1st turn / Skuntank. Also say that, Primeape contributes literally 0 defensive synergy to a team which is one of its main flaws, and it really wants support from Skuntank / hazards / other mons that pressure bulky Poisons

I know I already checked this but you should probably expand on Moves, Set Comments, and Team Options for the Scarf set. You should re-iterate what mons that Close Combat, Stone Edge, Earthquake etc. OHKO or 2HKO compared to the Band set so that people have an idea of the different power levels. Mention how Primeape's interactions with Defog and Sleep users differ from the Band set; i.e, it can't really take down Pelipper with Stone Edge any more but it can revenge +1 Vivillon if it tries to go for Sleep Powder instead of Hurricane (safer play based on accuracy but somewhat sketchy so find better examples). Scarf Primeape also can't remove things like Steelix and Regirock reliably so make sure to emphasise teammates that appreciate its Speed; this set can't provide wallbreaking support.

Also in checks and counters, give specific examples of Ghost-types that can switch into it (defensive Rotom / Gourgeist-XL) and faster threats (Scarf Scyther, Scarf Pyroar, etc).

Omastar can't set up Spikes on CM Mush because it just lets it gain free boosts and has to bank on Scald burns to do anything back. Weezing can also play mindgames with Taunt if it knows Omastar is defensive. A better example of stuff Omastar can actually set Spikes on would be SD Charizard or Scyther.

Primeape also has a hard time denting bulky Poison Poison- and Psychic-types Psychic-types, which can give up free opportunities to switch in. (Comment: I think?) switch ins. It also contributes absolutely provides no defensive synergy to your team and wants requires support from Skuntank, entry hazards, and other Pokemon to remove Psychic-types.

Close Combat is Primeape's strongest move which is good for nailing hits Steel, Rock, Steel-, Rock-, and Normal-types. Normal-types hard. Close Combat also scores a lot of KOs on neutral hits hits; for example, as well like KOing it's able to KO Samurott and Hariyama after Stealth Rock damage. rocks. U-turn can catch an opponent the foe on the switch switch, allowing your team to get the edge, edge. and because Because it is a Bug-type move, Primeape is able to instantly threaten Malamar Malamar, Shiftry, and Psychic-types. and Shiftry and deal a good amount of damage to Psychic-types. Earthquake is able to hit Garbodor as it stops Primeape from taking residual damage and stops Garbodor Garbodor, preventing it from getting setting up free layers of Spikes. Spikes. Stone Edge targets down Flying-types like such as Pelliper, Mantine, and Xatu. Gunk Shot is an alternatuve alternative that gives Primeape coverage against Mega Audino but also hits as well as Clefairy and Tangela.

Choice A Choice Band alongside max maximum Attack EVs gives the punch Primeape the power it needs to efficiently wallbreak. Max Maximum Speed with a Jolly nature makes it so that Primeape can outspeed positive speed boosting nature postitive-natured base 90's 90s like Lilligant and Kangaskhan. An Adamant nature doesn't benefit Primeape Primeape, since it doesn't snag achieve any extra kills KOs or allow it to get passed pass its checks. Defiant is usually Primeape's go go-to to choice for an ability ability, as it can gain a free boost from switching into Defog, which is perfect for Spikes-stacking teams. teams that use Spikes. Memento also doesn't affect Primeape as it will just get boosted back to neutral after recieving the drops. (Comment: Don't think this is significant enough to warrant a mention here.) Vital Spirit is a cool an alternative alternative, allowing making it so Primeape can to come in on a predicted Sleep Powder from Pokemon like such as Vileplume and Lilligant.

Usage Tips
========

Due to Primeape's frailness, frailty, it should never be switching into strong attackers. Instead Instead, try to get it in via slow VoltTurn or Baton Pass. Use Primeape early early- to mid-game on to dent the opponents team early to mid game so that late game late-game sweepers like such as Tauros and Swellow can have a much easier time cleaning up. If your opponent has something that can switch into Close Combat with ease ease, such as like Vileplume and Weezing Weezing, it is best to just use U-turn U-turn, as you can snag gain some momentum on the switch, but be careful when deciding what move to lock yourself Primeape into. If running Defiant Defiant, try to use Primeape to pressure Defog users like such as Prinplup and Mantine, Mantine; however, do be wary that instead of using Defog, they might attack predicting Primeape to come in in, instead of using Defog which can weaken Primeape a lot. If your team lacks a dedicated lead lead, then Primeape can often find itself being the first Pokemon sent out out, because if it has a bad match-up, it can easily just U-turn out.

Team Options
========

Late game Late-game sweepers that appreciate having Rock Rock- and Steel-types removed like Linoone, Swellow, and Tauros couple well with Primeape. Partners that also use U-turn and Volt Switch like such as Scyther and Rotom synergize well well, since they can get Primeape in on the right turn and force a lot of switches which combines well with entry hazards. Hazard setters like such as Garbodor and Omastar work extremely well with Primeape Primeape, as it often forces switches and the opponent foe will take more and more chip damage from the Spikes. spikes. Omastar in particular can set up Spikes on Pokemon that check Primeape like such as Scythed Scyther and Swords Dance Charizard with (with the exception of Xatu. Xatu). Pokemon that can control hazards like such as Xatu and Claydol go well with Primeape Primeape, as it is constantly switching in and out and does not like taking continuous chip damage. Skuntank with Pursuit complements Primeape rather nicely nicely, as it can help to remove Psychic Psychic- and Ghost-types who that can come in on Primape's Primeape's Close Combats. Combat. Shiftry can help to threaten Ghost Ghost- and Psychic-types for Primeape Primeape, as Primeape removes Ferroseed Ferroseed, which is annoying for Shiftry. Shiftry can also use Extrasensory to lure in Poison-types Poison-types, which gives give both of these Pokemon trouble.

Close Combat is a good STAB move that is reliable used for revenge killing Pokemon like such as Kangaskhan and Modest Shell Smash Omastar. U-turn catches Pokemon switching out out, allowing allow you to get the edge. It also hits Jynx, Lilligant, and Mesprit with super-effective damage super effectively and almost OHKOes Malamar from full HP. Earthquake targets Fire- and Poison-types, the latter of which can come in on Primeape's Close Combat's comfortably. Stone Edge gives it the edge over a way to hit Flying-types like Scyther and Rotom-Fan. Rotom-S.

Set Details

Choice A Choice Scarf with max maximum Speed investment allows it Hariyama to outspeed as much Pokemon as possible. Max Maximum Attack EVs give Primeape a lot more punch power (Comment: optional) to its attacks. Jolly A Jolly nature is used so that Hariyama you can outspeed +1 Jolly Lilligant and +2 Barbaracle Barbaracle, but although Adamant gives Primeape a bigger boost to its power. Defiant lets it abuse take advantage of the stat drops from Defog and Intimidate Intimidate, while Vital Spirit can let Primeape switch into sleep-inducing moves. Sleep Powder.

Usage Tips
========

Primeape works very well as a lead because if it ends up in an unfavorable match-up match-up, it can just use U-turn and get out. Primeape also works very well under the role of as a revenge killer killer, so if it is needed to pick up a kill on something faster than the rest of your team team, it should be preserved till until the situation arises. Opponents who have switch switch-ins ins to Primeape's Close Combats Combat will usually switch out into them them; thus so it is best to use U-turn so you don't have to forfeit any turns, but prediction is required when selecting your move move, as your opponent may not switch out into there their fighting Fighting resist. When using Defiant, running Defiant, Primeape should be used to pressure defoggers. Defoggers. Come Bring it in when you predict your opponent foe to use Defog Defog, but be careful as some defoggers Defoggers like Prinplup and Pelipper won't always be OHKOed even at when Primeape is at +2 attack. Attack. Primeape can also work efficiently as cleaning late game a late-game cleaner, since it does have decent power and outspeeds the majority of the metagame.

Team Options
========

Choice Scarf Primeape should be used on teams that need a revenge killer with Fighting-type attacks and momentum. The main reason being that without Choice Band Band, it loses a lot of power power, preventing not letting it from getting get certain 2HKO's 2HKOes that might be important for your team to have such as not being able to pick off Regirock or Steelix as easilly. Teammates that appreciate having faster attackers attackers, such as removed like Pyroar and Swellow Swellow, removed are great choices for partners. Some examples would be Pokemon like Samurott, Aurorus, and Zangoose who all of which are outspeeded outsped by some of the metagames metagame's faster threats. Normal-types love appreciate having Steel Steel- and Rock-types weakened weakened, since there STABs their STAB moves are resisted by Pokemon of those types, Kangaskhan and Tauros being two notable examples. Partners that also utilize U-turn or Volt Switch synergize well with Primeape Primeape, since they can shuffle switch between each other other, giving there their opponent a hard time to get the edge. Pokemon that lay down hazards entry hazards, like such as Cacturne and Omastar Omastar, help Primeape Primeape, since it often forces switches and on the opponents side and it is therefore able to rack up a lot of chip damage.

Other Options
=============

Thunder Punch hits Mantine and Pelipper harder and has higher accuracy than Stone Edge Edge, but in return is much this weakens its matchup match-up against Scyther. Ice Punch hits Gourgeist-XL, Golurk, and Torterra, the former two being immune to Close Combat. Fist Plate + and Encore can be used to help bluff Choice Band while also stopping set-up setup sweepers in there their tracks. Punishment hits Ghost Ghost- and Psychic-types, especially if they are using Calm Mind or Nasty Plot users such as like Mismagius and Musharna. Substitute + Focus Punch can be used to block Toxic and Thunder Wave from slower Pokemon while being able to deal dealing a hefty amount of damage. damage; however, Primeape's Although its Substitute are often broken by weak uninvested moves anyway.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Poison-types**: Pokemon like such as Garbodor, Vileplume, and Weezing give Primeape trouble trouble, since they all resist Primeape's most valuable move. Not to mention Furthermore, Weezing and Vileplume aren't weak to are immune to and take little damage from Earthquake respectively, while Garbodor and Vileplume can issue threaten Primeape with Rocky Helmet damage and or a status effect from Effect Spore Spore. respectively.

**Ghost-types**: These Pokemon Defensive Rotom and Gourgeist-XL fear none of Primeape's moves and are immune to its STAB STAB moves, allowing them to deal large amounts of damage or spread status effects like such as burns and paralysis. Defensive Rotom and Gourgeist-XL being the most notable ones.

**Flying-types**: Most common Flying-types like such as Scyther outspeed non Choice non-Choice Scarf Primeape and pursue to launch a STAB attack which will be a free KO. Others like such as Xatu and Rotom-Fan Rotom-S can also switch into Close Combats Combat pretty easily. However, Even even though they resist Primeape's STAB STAB moves, they must all be wary of Stone Edge Edge.

**Psychic-types**: Psychic-types like such as Mesprit and Musharna resist Primeape's Close Combats Combat, but they do not appreciate having to take U-turns. U-turn.

**Faster Pokemon**: Primeape has very little bulk bulk, meaning practically anything faster than it with decent attack Attack can either deal a large amount of damage or just straight out OHKO Primeape. it. Choice Scarf Scyther and Choice Scarf Pyroar are two examples of Pokemon who that can outspeed both of Primeape's variants and OHKO. OHKO them.

**Physically Bulky Pokemon**: Physically bulky Pokemon can take Primeape's moves if they are neutral from the scarf Choice Scarf set set, as it lacks the power boost from Choice Band. Although However, these Pokemon cannot safely switch in until they have identified which set is being run.
screw the gp diff app, this is much better. :toast:

Ok, this analysis has a huge amount of problems. First of is the outright poor grammar and wording. Sobi's check will help a lot on this regard, but it's still going to be a massive pain for both you to implement and future people to fix. This isn't enough to warrant a rejection from me alone, but it's certainly a factor. The fact that this comes after you were told to fix it up is a little troubling as well.

Reading through this as a non-Pokemon player, I have absolutely no idea what Primape does or should be doing in a match whatsoever. Just going through the overview...

[OVERVIEW]
Primeape's good combination of Speed, Attack, and offensive Fighting typing makes Primeape a real powerhouse. What does "being a powerhouse" mean? Should this be used on offensive teams as a wallbreaker? Is it good at just damaging things? It's very vague It's speed distinctively sets it apart from Hitmonchan being able to outpace base 80's and 90's like Mesprit, Rotom-S, and Shiftry. It's...faster than base 90s. Are these specific threats for teams in NU? Defiant gives Primeape the ability to punish and pressure Defoggers making it great with Spike stackers. Probably the only useful bit in this whole paragraph, and if primape acts how I'm guessing this needs to be the entire paragraph. Primeape also resist Sucker Punch, making it a good offensive check to Shiftry and even Kangaskhan being able to pressure them with U-turn and Close Combat respectively. Also good; it's used as a switch-in for these specific threats I suppose? Primeape is also good at pressuring Shiftry to not use Defog. Again the main point While Primeape's speed tier is good, it isn't perfect meaning it can get outsped by many common Pokemon like Archeops, Charizard, and Floatzel. This totally goes against what we've said in the opening two sentences and further confuses me what primape is even good for. Is it fast? Is it slow? I don't know. Saying it's outsped by known speedsters doesn't really tell us anything new either. Primeape also suffers from poor defenses letting it get revenge killed through priority and faster Pokemon quite easily. If Primape resists sucker punch (Base Power of 80, halved to 40) then I don't know why Base Power 40 priority moves are a problem for it. Further confusing me what this thing is good for. Primeape also has a hard time denting bulky Poison and Psychic-types which can give up free switch ins. Of course, Pokemon that resist its moves resist its moves. This is true of basically every pokemon in existance It also contributes absolutely no defensive synergy to your team and wants support from Skuntank, hazards, and other Pokemon to remove Psychic-types. This just makes it sound like primape is a total drain on the team. You've just said it needs massive support and doesn't really help at anything, and the entire overview has failed to mention what primape even does.
Overviews are supposed to be summaries of "what to expect" when you see this Pokemon in battle, or are looking to build a team. At the moment, this is just telling me Primape can outspeed things slower than it but is slower than things faster than it, it has no coverage, and it has Defiant. I looked through the onsite analysis to try and understand what this thing does, but even that is lacking in content. It's shocking that the current analysis actually describes Primeape's role more than this one, and most of the good points made here are just reorganized sentences of the last analysis. I was incredibly surprised to learn that Primeape was a B+ Pokemon, because this analysis makes it sound like trash.

The set details and usage tips are incredibly bare-bones. But it's very frustrating because some of the necessary information is there, it's just been scattered over the entire analysis. Neither of these sets describe what their purpose is, which is the first thing that should appear in the "moves" section. Right now this analysis reads more like one from several years ago (before our revamp of the process) that just ordered the sets in whichever way was best without explaining what the reason for using them is. It has choice band, it's strong. It has choice scarf, it's faster. But the choice scarf set here hasn't even said what Primeape is being used to outspeed!

The only section of this analysis that contains any useful information is the team options sections. By reading that, I'm getting that primape is designed to be used on hyper offense teams, discouraging defog and keeping entry hazards up on the opposing team while punishing switches with U-turn. Am I right on this? Because its role hasn't been mentioned almost anywhere in this analysis. Or maybe I'm wrong, and I still don't know a reason for choosing Primeape to be on my team. We can all look at a Pokemon's stats and say what makes it good or bad, but what's useful in the competitive world is WHY something should be picked.

This analysis has been threatened to be reassigned twice, and from the looks of it has suffered from time crunches both times. I'm sorry, but fixing the grammar and making the sentences cohearant won't solve the problem here, which is a lack of clear purpose and information in this analysis. It needs to be rewritten, using this as a baseline but including team roles and targets of primeape from the ground up.

Agreeing with all the points made above as I had talked with Gato about this last night, so I'll be locking and moving this.

Zelfie - I really appreciate the time and work you put into this but as stated the writing is just too unclear and messy at this point and I wish I had noticed this issue earlier, please don't take this as a discouragement from writing (NU) analyses, just keep in mind that taking your time with the writing and fully understanding the spelling and grammar standards is crucial.

~Eternally will be taking this over, feel free to post a new thread whenever.
