Greetings, all. Let's get this started...
And since substitutions and abilities aren't mentioned, I'm setting them both to one. Anyway, here's the teams...

    Professor Lamb
    Larvitar (open)

    Larvitar [Larvitar] (*) (Male)
Nature: Jolly (+15% Speed, +8% Accuracy, -1 SpA)

    Type: Rock/Ground
Rock: Rock STAB; Reduce damage from all special attacks by two (2) Base Attack Power during Sandstorm. Able to use Sand Tomb without losing focus.
Ground: Ground STAB; Immune to all electrical attacks, can Dig through almost any substance, Evasive Digging reduced from 3 per action Energy Cost to 2 per action, superior senses in darkened cave surroundings.

    Abilities:
Guts: (Innate) This Pokemon is tenacious and will work ever harder when under a status condition, raising the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by two (2). Pokemon with Guts ignore the attack drop from burn.
Sand Veil (DW): (Innate, Locked) This Pokemon is used to reacting in desert conditions and gets a 20% evasion boost during Sandstorms. Pokemon with this ability are immune to Sandstorm damage.

    Beldum (open)

    Beldum [Beldum] (*) (Male)
Nature: Adamant (+1 Atk, -1 SpA)

    Type: Steel/Psychic
Steel: Steel STAB; Immune to Sandstorm, highly insusceptible to toxic attacks, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, can be magnetized. Superior senses in high-metal environments like construction sites or factories.
Psychic: Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

    Abilities:
Clear Body: (Innate) This Pokemon’s body structure makes it immune to status lowering moves used by opponents. (e.g. Intimidate, Growl, Screech etc.)
Light Metal (DW): (Innate, Locked) The Pokemon's body is made of a lightweight but extremely strong alloy. It weighs half as much as other members of the species, but is equally sturdy. The Pokemon executes weak attacks much more effectively, adding +1 priority to all their attacks with 6 or less Base Attack Power (after other ability adjustments). Priority is applied to the summed Base Attack Power of a multi-hit move (e.g. Double Kick has priority at 6 BAP, Skill Link Bullet Seed doesn't at 15 BAP.)

Nature: Bold (+1 Def, -1 Atk)

    Type: Water/Ghost
Water: Water STAB; Can breathe and have excellent mobility when underwater, are less capable on land unless they are entirely amphibious.
Ghost: Ghost STAB; brief intangibility that nullifies Normal and Fighting-type attacks. Can move through walls for a brief period of time but must remain in motion. Superior senses in low light and inside dark buildings. Have no vision reduction in hazes.

    Abilities:
Water Absorb: (Innate) This Pokemon absorbs water attacks and instead of taking damage from them, recovering 50% of the damage the water attack would have done. A Pokemon that attacks itself with water to heal only recieves 25% of the damage that attack would do to itself.
Cursed Body: (Innate) When this Pokemon is struck by an opponent's attack that makes contact, there is a 30% chance that attack will be disabled. Only one of the opponent's attacks can be disabled at a time due to Cursed Body.
Damp (DW): (Innate, Locked) This Pokemon releases a damp mist upon entry into battle that short circuits the opponent’s ability to use Selfdestruct or Explosion.

Alright guys. This is our first time battling in this strange place, and I don't want our first battle to result in a loss. I don't want any of our battles to result in losses. Looking at our opponent's team, it seems like we might have some trouble, but we'll overcome anything to win! Go! Larvitar!

Alright lets show them the true power of nature, Marluxia show them how it's done.

    Let us begin.

Marluxia start out the match with some status effects and buffs

Okay, looks like our opponent wants to get the advantage early in the battle by using some status moves. Well, we won't let him do that! Larvitar, use Protect to guard yourself from the oncoming status moves! Then, use Double Team to make one clone so it's harder for Marluxia to hit you! After that, use Dragon Dance to boost your Attack and Speed stats! Let's go!

ROUND 1: Hold on! We haven't quite set up the show yet!

Goooooooood evening, ladies and gentlemen! Tonight's LC match pits newcomer Professor Lamb against veteran The Royal Guard, the former opening with a nameless Larvitar, and the latter with Marluxia the Chikorita! ASB Arena looks packed today, and I can say with utmost confidence that this match will be a bloodbath of epic proportions!

...Or will it be a bloodbath at all? It appears that the professor's Larvitar has opted to take up a defensive stance, Protecting against any harm that might come to him! Unluckily for Marluxia, this ends up completely negating the sleep-inducing melody of his Grasswhistle!

Larvitar continues to set up his defenses, bolting all over the place and filling Marluxia's eyes with that Double-vision! Undeterred, the Chikorita hums once more, but this time dispels the illusory team of Larvitars, as the second wave of Grasswhistle puts him to sleep!

This looks bad for the professor's rocky little pokemon, sleeping like...well, a rock. Royal takes advantage of the helpless Larvitar by having Marluxia fan a cloud of poisonous powder with his leaf...but it seems nature has other plans, and the cloud ends up missing Larvitar altogether!

It looks like the show hasn't quite started yet for these two trainers. What will happen next? FIND OUT NEXT WEEK! (...or day.)

Ah...well this isn't good. Well Larvitar...Larvitar? Oh right, you're sleeping. Well, hopefully you get my instructions in a dream or something, because we really have to try to turn this situation around! Even though you're sleeping, try to create a protective field around you by using Protect! Then get on the offensive and blow Marluxia away with a powerful Outrage! After that, keep hitting it hard with another Outrage!

Well that was a big ball of fail round. Marluxia lets get some DOTS going! Leech Seed him to start draing some health, and then Poison Powder so you can really put the screws to Lavitar, finish off the round with Energy Ball

Edited the stats of the first round a little - I forgot that STAB results in one less energy spent, so Chikorita should have 81 energy left, not 79.

Round 2: Pain wears a necklace

Scooter's Catch-A-Ride is where the cars live! Get you one!

Well, not much happened since our commercial break - the professor's Larvitar is still sleeping! Again, Marluxia tries to take advantage of the situation, this time creeping up to the little critter and planting Leech Seeds all over him...Larvitar's gonna be in for a rude awakening.

And sure enough, Larvitar takes waking up poorly - he's so pissed he goes into an Outrage that trashes half the arena - Those Imperial angry marines in the audience are proud, I'll bet...no wait, they're just rioting. Anyway, Marluxia takes the ravaging like a boss and counters by wafting another cloud of Poisonpowder...and this time, it works!

Larvitar's fury redoubles as he trashes Marluxia with another round of Outrage...and the Chikorita simply takes it, backs away a little, and then thoroughly bitchslaps his nemesis with Energy Ball - oh, that's GOTTA hurt...and does! So bad, in fact, that it breaks Larvitar's outrage, leaving the poor critter confused!

It's looking really bad for the Professor and Larvitar...What will happen next? FIND OUT AFTER THESE MESSAGES!

Oh dear...well this isn't going very well at all. Hmm...okay, Larvitar, use Protect to shield yourself from Marluxia's attack! Then, show Marluxia how mad you are by Screeching at it! Then really show how mad you are by using Outrage!

Round 3: Pain also has a leaf on his head

Kellogg's Khorne Flakes. Part of this complete breakfast. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! LET THE UNIVERSE DR-R-R-ROWN IN IT!!!

Well, looks like the angry marines didn't take that commercial well; now they're taking bolters to the audience, yelling something about heresy. As the security guards struggle and/or get killed/maimed/grievously injured in an attempt to drag them out of the arena, the Professor's Larvitar, despite being woozy from that energy ball, has taken up a defensive stance again, Protecting against any harm that might come to him once again...it pays off, as it deflects another Energy Ball from his nemesis. It doesn't stop the poison and leech seeds, though.

An endless setup seems to be the name of this game, ladies and gentlemen - while Marluxia clears up the sky with Sunny Day, Larvitar breaks through his confusion and lets out a deafening Screech...which unfortunately does not faze the Chikorita at all!

Sick of doing absolutely nothing, Larvitar rushes at Marluxia and wrecks him with another bout of Outrage! Royal's warrior just scoffs at the little rock-biter and chucks another Energy Ball...and while it wasn't quite lethal, once again it broke Larvitar's concentration, and once again he is disoriented! On the plus side, the life-draining plants covering Larvitar have begun to wither and fall off.

It's looking really, REALLY bad for Professor Lamb. Will Larvitar be able to surmount this mighty foe? Find out after these messages!

Eh...well you did a good job while you lasted Larvitar. Just keep using Outrage so you can get some more damage on Marluxia before you go down.

Actually, the rules say genderless pokemon with no TM or egg moves can start with three tutor moves, if applicable, so this is about right.

Round 5: Just like Wesley Willis!

And remember, children: If your parents don't buy you a Dupey, they're only pretending to love you!

Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen! The professor has just started the round by sending out a Beldum, greeting Marluxia by bashing him with Iron Head...unfortunately, he's not fast enough to stop the Chikorita from using Synthesis to negate the damage, and then some!

Healing left Marluxia weary, however - and thus decides to sacrifice some HP to another one of Beldum's Iron Heads in order to Chill! Perhaps Royal's trying to set up on the Professor again?

That looks to be the case, as his Chikorita lets loose another round of Leech Seeds to drain Beldum's life! The little dumbbell is undeterred, however, and smacks Marluxia with yet another Iron Head, bashing him so hard he flies across the arena! Oh, that's GOTTA HURT!

The round is over and Royal still has a comfortable lead. Can the Professor turn this around?

Round 6: Headbanging to a grasswhistle

Creeper Demolition Corporation. Because if it's a job well done, it'sssssssssssss-*BOOM!*...a job worth griefing.

Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen! It looks like Royal is trying to incapacitate his nemesis yet again, having Marluxia hum on his Grasswhistle...and missed! The Professor's Beldum takes advantage of this by smacking the Chikorita around with yet another Iron Head! Slowly but surely, Marluxia is getting whittled down...but throwing Iron Head after Iron Head is really taking a toll on Beldum...

This battle has undoubtedly become a stallwar, as our warriors follow with more of the same - Marluxia's Grasswhistle misses, Beldum bashes him with Iron Head again.

Will anything change in this next move? It doesn't look like it, as Royal's Chikorita uses Grasswhistle yet again...but this time, it works! Perhaps this might have been fortunate for Beldum, as a quick spell just prevented it from squandering its increasingly sparse energy!

Marluxia's fortitude has proven impressive, but at this point he's so tired he can barely stand anymore. Beldum's doing better in this aspect - but not by much; that hail of headbutts cost it dearly. Will this war of attrition end within the next round? Find out after a word from our sponsors!
