Gen 3 Rate mah new team!

Aerodactyl (M) @ Liechi Berry ** Aerowing
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 1 SAtk / 1 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Substitute
- Wing Attack

Speedy starter, useful on stuff like smeargle or jynx. don't really want a CB version.

Metagross @ Leftovers ** Megatross
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 174 HP / 231 Atk / 92 Spd / 13 SAtk
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Agility
- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
- Psychic

Works well for def, very versatile. Takes 1 turn to set up, then sweep easily. Becomes a monster if it gets the attack boost from MM. Considering thunderpunch > psych, but i see more weezings than skarms.

Pikachu (M) @ Light Ball ** Voltmouse
Trait: Static
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Tackle

Pika! Seems too frail to use t-wave, thinking of scrapping it and volt tackle for something else, and thunder > t-bolt.

Venusaur (M) @ Leftovers ** MisplacedFlower
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 240 HP / 99 Def / 39 SAtk / 132 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Frenzy Plant
- Giga Drain
- Leech Seed
- Substitute

Needs improvement, no type coverage. Thinking of putting sludge bomb/hp something/sleep powder somewhere.

Dusclops (M) @ Leftovers ** Ocule
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 239 HP / 162 Atk / 55 Def / 54 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Metronome
- Rest
- Shadow Ball
- Sleep Talk

Resttalk for longevity. Shadow ball for STAB. Metronome because dusclops gets un-fucking-believeably good hax with it.

Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers ** Tubby
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 255 HP / 255 Atk
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Focus Punch
- Rest
- Return
- Yawn

The yawnpuncher! maybe shadow ball > return for type coverage, but loses power.

Aerodactyl (M) @ Liechi Berry ** Aerowing
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 1 SAtk / 1 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Substitute
- Wing Attack

Speedy starter, useful on stuff like smeargle or jynx. don't really want a CB version.

Though you should strongly consider one. Use HP Flying over Wing Attack, unless this is link up.

Metagross @ Leftovers ** Megatross
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 174 HP / 231 Atk / 92 Spd / 13 SAtk
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Agility
- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
- Psychic

Works well for def, very versatile. Takes 1 turn to set up, then sweep easily. Becomes a monster if it gets the attack boost from MM. Considering thunderpunch > psych, but i see more weezings than skarms.

Adamant Psychic doesn't KO Weezing while it burns you and runs away. Rock Slide or Explosion over Psychic with Liechi or Lum Berry.

Pikachu (M) @ Light Ball ** Voltmouse
Trait: Static
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Tackle

Pika! Seems too frail to use t-wave, thinking of scrapping it and volt tackle for something else, and thunder > t-bolt.

Two electric moves are unnecessary.Replace one with Substitute. Encore also works in Thunder Wave's spot.

Venusaur (M) @ Leftovers ** MisplacedFlower
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 240 HP / 99 Def / 39 SAtk / 132 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Frenzy Plant
- Giga Drain
- Leech Seed
- Substitute

Needs improvement, no type coverage. Thinking of putting sludge bomb/hp something/sleep powder somewhere.

Frenzy Plant is usesless. Replace that with Sleep Powder. Consider HP Fire/Ice or Sludge Bomb over Substitute.

Dusclops (M) @ Leftovers ** Ocule
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 239 HP / 162 Atk / 55 Def / 54 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Metronome
- Rest
- Shadow Ball
- Sleep Talk

Resttalk for longevity. Shadow ball for STAB. Metronome because dusclops gets un-fucking-believeably good hax with it.

Will-O-Wisp over Metronome. Max HP on Dusclops always.

Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers ** Tubby
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 255 HP / 255 Atk
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Focus Punch
- Rest
- Return
- Yawn

The yawnpuncher! maybe shadow ball > return for type coverage, but loses power.

You lost a point in EVs.You rarely need over a 500 hp stat total on Snorlax for any given set. Rest can be spreaded among Attack and SDef, with a little Def in between. I personally don't like the set, but w/e.

Gets raped by random standards like Heracross, Raikou, Gengar, Swampert, Curselax etc. The team isn't really very objective and very lazily thrown together with only sweeping in mind, in which only Aerodactyl and Metagross are only barely going to pull off doing. What exactly were you aiming for in building this team?

it was mostly a novelty team, with a few tweaks. I'm still working on it, which is why it seems so patchy.

made a few mods:

Aerodactyl and metagross replaced with:

Porygon2 @ Lum Berry ** Cyber
Trait: Trace
EVs: 228 HP / 232 Def / 50 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Conversion2
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Thunderbolt

Dragonite (M) @ Lum Berry ** Dwaggie
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 151 HP / 165 Atk / 194 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Rest

Pikachu: encore and sub > volt tackle and t-wave

Venusaur: hp fire and sleep powder > sub and frenzy plant

Dusclops: focus punch > metronome (hp isnt max because i tried to get it as close to 162 (divisible into 16 equally) as possible, for leftovers.

thinking flamethrower > rest on dragonite.

I'm not really in the Advance mindset anymore as such, but one thing I did pick up is that your EVs are not divisible by 4!

This is acceptable when you have those two leftover EVs and want to stick them somewhere, but with a spread like 151HP / 165Atk, you're just not getting the most out of your spread. 151 should be 152 and 165 should be 164 by the looks of things.

When you're EVing in Netbattle, make sure your EVs are set to 'snap' (or otherwise increase/decrease by multiples of 4). Sure, you'll be left with 2 EVs at the end, but those 2 EVs contribute nothing, and you'll be sure to get the most out of your spreads!

Just a little something to keep note of.

Leftovers over Lum, Thunder Wave/Toxic over conversion2. If you want to be innovative and still effective, you can run Sharpen, Recover, Thunder/Thunderbolt, and Return/Double-Edge.

Dragonite (M) @ Lum Berry ** Dwaggie
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 151 HP / 165 Atk / 194 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Rest

Just use Fire Blast/Thunder/Thunderbolt over Rest. If you ever use a Berry to wake something up, use Chesto. Using Lum just means you get screwed over if you were hit by something else earlier.

Max HP is just because Dusclops' HP retardedly low. It doesn't necessariy need max lefties.

thinking flamethrower > rest on dragonite.
With both Metagross AND Aerodactyl gone, you've lost your normal/flying resists and are open to being completely destroyed by Salamence or just about any physical hard hitter, not that it still wasn't an smaller issue before.

Lol, reading thru this again, i just realized how stupid the EV's look in my OP. That came from forgetting to set snap again after playing around for a while.

Synch, tell me some more about that sharpen/thunder(bolt)/return/recover porygon2 plz. Or give me a good EV spread, I suck at making them, especially when I have to balance between att/SA...

Anyway, NEW TEAM!!!! When I said I like to change a lot, (did I?) I meant it!

Skarmory (M) @ Salac Berry ** Skarm
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 196 HP / 132 Atk / 92 Def / 88 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Drill Peck
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Spikes
- Taunt

Don't really know about this. Added for spikes, taunting other starters like ninjask, (who then loses to drill peck) luring out any counters/bulky waters/problems and for some needed defense/resistances.

Gengar (M) @ Leftovers ** Redeye
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Giga Drain
- Substitute
- Ice Punch
- Will-O-Wisp

Completely stops blissey, giga drain makes it a swampert counter of sorts (mainly EQ, IB, curse, rest ect. Does swampert ever use any other attacking moves???) Normal/fight/ground immunity is good for walling, esp. against choice banders.

Alakazam (M) @ Leftovers ** I.Q.
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Fire Punch
- Psychic
- Recover

I can never decide on a couple of things:

1. What should go in the fire punch moveslot? for sweeping, I've tried ice punch, thunderpunch, hp grass, thought about dark, too (thief? knock off?) more than type coverage, I'm looking for the most super effective hits, mainly against standards (as something to base it on.)

2. Lum > lefties for pseudo-magic coat, or salac/petaya?

3. Modest or timid?

4. Synchronize or inner focus?:nerd:

Thinking about it, timid would give me a better chance to get a few CMs up, and a better position to sweep. Outspeeding aero, jolty and mewtwo is nice, but what about ninjask? I see quite a few, and they could easily pick me off. What speed do jasks usually run? I have mine at 361, then put EVs into hp and defenses so I can survive more than one hit.

Venusaur (M) @ Leftovers ** MisplacedFlower
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 240 HP / 36 Atk / 99 Def / 132 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Hidden Power [Bug]
- Leech Seed
- Roar
- Toxic

PHazer, annoyer, leech seed useful to pass to other team members and hp bug to make it a celebi counter, who could give me some trouble. Thinking about it tho, sludge bomb would be way better, but which would do more damage to celebi? Giga drain/hp fire if I want a special move instead. (SA is higher)

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers ** Behemoth
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 56 Atk / 12 Def / 176 Spd / 12 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Ancientpower
- Focus Punch
- Hidden Power [Bug]
- Substitute

Here to give the team some OOMPH! VILtar, right? Ancientpower > RS cuz I love it, and seeing all stats go up after killing something is mighty delicious... are there other movesets I'd like here instead?

This spot is iffy , I might put another poke here. I want something fairly durable that hits hard on the physical side. (don't say steelix or aggron plz) Maybe salamence/metagross. Intimidate on a DDmence would go well with LS/reflect on claydol.

Claydol @ Lum Berry ** Totem
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 236 HP / 176 Atk / 32 Def / 64 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
- Reflect

1/2 of my team is airborne, so with this, I don't need to worry about spikes at all. I don't see them much, but when I do, they annoy me to no end. Another reason why I'm liking DDmence > VILtar (sandstorm negates my lefties) Reflect or lightscreen?

How's my synergy?:naughty: (another reason to out VILtar)

Do I have a boltbeamer weakness?

btw, this:happybrain: freaks me out, removeplz:P

Levitate on metagross would be awesome

EDIT: Lum & timid on zam, sludge bomb > hp bug on venusaur, LS > reflect on claydol.

VILtar switched for:

Salamence (F) @ Lum Berry ** Aviagon
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 1 SAtk / 1 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Hidden Power [Flying]
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
- crunch/brick break/dragon claw/fire blast/flamethrower/hydro pump/rock slide/wish

I found IVs that allow for a 70 power hp flying AND max base speed. Which is nice. could work with claydol to survive ice (theoretically)

I just read thru this again, jeez, I'm insane!

Skarmory (M) @ Salac Berry ** Skarm
Trait: Keen Eye
EVs: 196 HP / 132 Atk / 92 Def / 88 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Drill Peck
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Spikes
- Taunt

Max HP. If you want Taunt, give it a lot more Speed. HP Ground probably isn't the best choice w/o CB because Magneton will still screw you over. Put Roar over it. Lead with something else.

Gengar (M) @ Leftovers ** Redeye
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Giga Drain
- Substitute
- Ice Punch
- Will-O-Wisp

Gengar doesn't completely stop Blissey. They usually have Ice Beam or some sort of offense outside of SToss. If you really want to off Blissey you can put Hypnosis over WoW, then FP or Explosion over Sub. Thunderbolt is probabl better over Giga Drain also. Pert usually has Surf/Hydro Pump, which will 2HKO most Gars.

Ice Punch is probably the best choice, but put it over Recover, not Fire. Zam doesn't have the stability to Recover off hits. Better to bring it in late game and beat the crap out of the opponent.

2. Lum > lefties for pseudo-magic coat, or salac/petaya?
I prefer Lefties.

3. Modest or timid?
Timid.

4. Synchronize or inner focus?:nerd:
Synch.

Many Jasks use max speed w/ either Adamant or Jolly. Some have 1 less than that b/c of HP Rock. Some settle with beating 394ers and some have enough to be +1 DDMence or whatever.

Venusaur (M) @ Leftovers ** MisplacedFlower
Trait: Overgrow
EVs: 240 HP / 36 Atk / 99 Def / 132 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Hidden Power [Bug]
- Leech Seed
- Roar
- Toxic

Rather poorly thought out set. Something like Seed/Sleep/HP Fire/Razor Leaf would probably be better. Alternatively Sludge Bomb/EQ could go over Leaf/Fire but either DDmence or VILtar can handle CElebi fine.

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers ** Behemoth
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 56 Atk / 12 Def / 176 Spd / 12 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Ancientpower
- Focus Punch
- Hidden Power [Bug]
- Substitute

If you're going to replace it then w/e.

Claydol @ Lum Berry ** Totem
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 236 HP / 176 Atk / 32 Def / 64 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
- Reflect

I'd max HP. Put the SDef EVs into Def. Light Screen would probably help out your team better. Also if you haven't seen too many Spikes then you probably haven't played much at all.

How's my synergy?:naughty: (another reason to out VILtar)
I'll comment on that later.

Do I have a boltbeamer weakness?
Yes.

btw, this:happybrain: freaks me out, removeplz:P
No.

Levitate on metagross would be awesome
It would.

EDIT: Lum & timid on zam, sludge bomb > hp bug on venusaur, LS > reflect on claydol.

VILtar switched for:

Salamence (F) @ Lum Berry ** Aviagon
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 1 SAtk / 1 SDef

I found IVs that allow for a 70 power hp flying AND max base speed. Which is nice. could work with claydol to survive ice (theoretically)

Theoretically, both Dol and Mence get ripped apart by Ice moves. The Last move should be Flamethrower/Rock Slide. Also you can settle for 270 Speed stat and put the rest into HP.

I just read thru this again, jeez, I'm insane!
BoltBeam does indeed destroy you. Any ice type really can wreck you, especially stuff liek Regice, and common special threats like Starmie, Raikou, and Gengar will smack you hard. Try remedying that by putting Lax/Bliss/Regice over Venusaur. You have no status taker, so you can amke Lax/Ice sleeptalking variants. Blissey can use AT to cure statuses. Without Roar/WW on Skarm, Mence/Gross will destroy you with just one DD/Agility. I really don't like DDMence being on this team because there's really nothing that can pressure Cune/Milo/Pert; you need them weakened before attempting a DD sweep. Consider putting a CBmence over DDmence instead. I also find Zam and Gar on the same team to be redundant and ineffective. Neither of those with your current sets can attempt to sweep while the opponent has a special wall in play, and again there's nothing on your team to really weaken them. It'd be better to make Gengar a mixed set. Overall the team jsut seems to be a bunch of random sweepers thrown together, with little synergy or planning.

You randomly PMed me "im not a noob" on NB
._.
Seriously, use real spreads and real movesets
Snorlax should never have more than 464 HP.

"Real movesets?"

I work on my team a lot, and its constantly changing. I post these movesets because I'm trying to develop my pokes. I might seem like a n00b because my movesets are crappy or I battle with a bad team, but I'm not a noob, I know what I'm doing:P

BTW, zOMG, I said that cuz when I challenged u, ur info said somehting about not battling n00bs, or something like that. It was more of a joke than anything.

Also, snorlax is not round. He doesnt roll. Gastly however...
