Hey guys, this is my 4v4 team for the upcoming xy tournament (may 16th), any input/adjustments is appreciated.

    [Pokemon] Politoed
    Type: Water (Special)
    Item: Damp Rock
    Nature: Calm
    Ability: Drizzle (ofc)
    Move-set:
    - Protect
    - Ice Beam
    - Psychic
    - Hydro Pump
    EVs: 252 HP // 136 Sp. Atk // 124 Sp. Def

    [Strategy]:

Politoed is my lead ofc along with either my special dragonite or banded kabutops, both who benefit a huge amount from the rain. Everything about politoed is fairly self explantory, it's main aim is simply get rain up, I have -IVs in it's speed to ensure it's slower than your average ttar/ninetales etc pokemon that induce weather conditions

    [Pokemon] Kabutops
    Type: Rock/Water (Physical)
    Item: Choice Band
    Nature: Adamant
    Ability: Swift Swim
    Move-set:
    - Aqua Jet
    - Waterfall
    - Rock Slide
    - Night Slash
    EVs: 232 Hp // 252 Atk // 20 Speed

    [Strategy]:

A partner to politoed every threatening dirzzle, with 20 EVs invested in speed, it becomes faster then any pokemon (that isn't scarfed) useable in the tournament. It's waterfall alone is capable of taking out many a pokemon that'll be present, aqua jet is to 1HKO talonflame, and rock slide is another primary stab.

    [Pokemon] Dragonite
    Type: Dragon/Flying (Special)
    Item: Choice Scarf OR Specs/Orb
    Nature: Modest
    Ability: Multiscale
    Move-set:
    - Thudner
    - Hurricane
    - Dragon Pulse
    - Flamethrower/Protect
    EVs: 232 HP // 252 Sp Atk // 24 Speed

    [Strategy]:

My fast (if scarf is on) hard hitter. Hurricane/Thunder are extremely powerful, and 100% accurate in the rain. If I'm not using my rain team in the 4v4 because I see they have some big counters, dragonite is extremely useful in a non-rain team, with a strong dragon pulse/flamethrower, taking out other dragons unsuspecting of his scarf and scizors/ferrothorns/mawile with his flamethrower.

    [Pokemon] Lucario
    Type: Fighting/Steel (Physical)
    Item: Lucarionite
    Nature: Jolly
    Ability:Justified
    Move-set:
    - Close Combat
    - Extremespeed
    - Bullet Punch
    - Swords Dance
    EVs: 4 HP // 252 Atk. // 252 Speed
    [Strategy]

My pirmary attacker, with 2 hard hitting priority moves to pick off weakened Pokemon and ofc the ever present, adaptability boosted, close combat

    [Pokemon] Togekiss
    Type: Fairy/Flying (Special)
    Item: ??? not sure
    Nature: Bold
    Ability: Serene Grace
    Move-set:
    - Flamethrower
    - Dazzling Gleam
    - Thunder Wave
    - Air Slash
    EVs: 252 HP // 136 Sp. Atk // 124 Sp. Def

    [Strategy]
My special wall, plays a role when I'm not utilising my rain team. Pretty basic moveset. I was thinking of attaching kings rock, thunder waving, and trying to get a paraflinch hax going.

    [Pokemon] Hitmontop
    Type: Fighting (Physical)
    Item: ???
    Nature: Adamant
    Ability: Intimidate
    Move-set:
    - Fake Out
    - Wide Guard
    - Close Combat
    - Earthquake/Bullet Punch
    EVs: 136 HP // 252 Atk // 124 Spd

    [Strategy]

Intimidate drop is extremely useful in doubles, fake out as well, along with wide guard to protect pokemon from predictable moves like rock slide/earthquake etc, Can hit back hard with a Close Combat. Wasn't too sure what item, fighting gem isn't available in xy unfortunately.

Here are a few Pokemon all EV trained and bred to perfection in my box

    Haxorus
    Dragonite (physical)
    Aggron
    Liepard
    Yamega
    Swampert
    Cloyster
    Umbreon
    Volcarona
    Vaporeon
    Venusaur
    Charizard (Physical X)
    Chandelure
    Salamence
    Chansey
    Blissey
    Starmie
    Diggersby
    Krookodile
    Aerodactyl
    Goodra
    Gengar
    Talonflame
    Alakazam
    Hydreigon
    Steelix
    Kangaskhan
    Tyranitar

Kabutops, Togekiss and Hitmontop are all not allowed in the tournament you're talking about.
