Sorry to keep you waiting you guys, but the match is now ready!

Heaven or Hell...

~The deafening cries of the capacity crowd intoxicate the ASB stadium, reverberating their excitement throughout the structure. Deep in the center lies the standard clay arena which has seen the rise of many great champions, fierce combat, and intense collateral damage in its many years of use. Extending over 100 yards long and spread over 50 yards wide, the field is marked with the Pokeball insignia and lines dividing the two sides in white chalk. With the crowd's energy coming to a crescendo, two eager combatants step forward each three Pokemon firmly in their grasp. Which of the three will be called forth and what kind of action will this audience experience today?~

If you want to evolve your chinchou (or anything else) steampowered (should you choose to use it) I'm fine with it, just to make things more interesting.

I also forgot to add there's a moat surrounding the perimeter of the arena so that Chinchou/Lanturn can swim in so that it's not flopping around. This is the original tournament arena description:

Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokemon fans, the ASB Arena can be best described as a standard Pokemon battling arena. In the center of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Pokeball center). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about fifteen feet wide and creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is eighty feet wide, one hundred feet long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it's an outdoor arena with a large water source and packed dirt. Pokemon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying Pokemon, who cannot leave the arena and cannot fly higher than sixty feet). This prevents Pokemon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are no outside interruptions by fans, Pokemon, or other elements not associated with the current battle.

Alright let's go Luminato the Chinchou and Cello the Servine!

Alright Cello, start by activating Contrary. Next use Leaf Storm (Porygon2)- Toxic (Shelgon)- Leaf Storm (Porygon2)

btw Chinchou is amphibious

Luminato use Ice Beam (Shelgon)-Confuse Ray (Porygon2)- Ice Beam (Shelgon)

also, I thought this battle was going to be over quickly but I guess not, Anyways I'm going away tomorrow (Saturday) for a week so can we postpone the battle till then?

Mac: Start out with tracing volt absorb (note, if tracing takes up an action, then I'd rather not do it)
Ice Beam that servine, then use Magic Coat on that confuse ray to bounce it back. Finally use Ice Beam on servine one more time.

Saffron: Set up a Substitute (20 hp), then use Flame Thrower against Servine followed by a Dragon Claw against Servine.

I'm fine with postponing it

Well the moat is there if you wish to use it Steampowered. And we can wait til say...Monday for you to post your actions. :]

The trainers and their Pokemon begin to brace for battle and - what's this? rewindman's Pokemon are evolving!

The virtual reality Pokemon morphs and transforms into its smaller compact successor while the energetic Saffron becomes the hardy and bulky Shelgon. With both of rewindman's Pokemon already have taken on their superior forms, could this early evolution set the match before it begins?

Undaunted by this turn of events, Luminato fires a piercing cold beam at the rugged dragon, hitting its elemental weakness and causing her to shudder. Afterward, Luminato's teammate, the Servine Cello, releases a blistering wave of razor sharp leaves that batters the hull of the Porygon2. While most other Pokemon would be drained from this endeavor, Cello is invigorated more than ever. Recovering from this strike, Mac analyzes its opponent's strengths and weaknesses and ultimately decides to boost its physical power. It then retaliates back at the Servine by sending off a freezing beam of its own, which punishes the Grass Pokemon for great damage. Saffron plays defensive and creates a miniature Pokedoll in its likeness.

Luminato continues the momentum with a hallucinatory beam of white light on Mac. However, the virtual reality Pokemon has a few tricks up its sleeve and creates a slick film over its body right on cue, reflecting the ray back at Luminato, causing her vision and mind to be glassy. In the same vein, Cello watches in horror as its toxic spit rolls down uselessly on the Shelgon doll while the real Saffron roasts the Servine with a stream of searing fire.

Luminato struggles to retain her focus and footing, but ends up doing a back flip right into the ground, wasting her action. Shaking off the Flamethrower, Cello rips out a much deadlier cyclone of razor sharp leaves that beat down Mac while powering herself up even further in the process. However, Mac and Saffron team up, with Mac firing off a devastating blast of ice right on Cello while Saffron rakes the Servine with her claws. As Cello struggles back to her feet, she knows she can't play around anymore and unlocks her full potential.

At the end of the round, the poor Servine has taken significant punishment and the Chinchou is still suffering from the nasty effects of confusion. However, things are not looking too rosy on the other end with both Pokemon feeling dizzy and lightheaded from their high powered maneuvers. Who's game will it be?

I was a fool yeah

Of the choices

Ohhh

Now in a pinch, Cello takes a risky gamble and summons forth three identical images of its likeness spreading forth from his sides, creating a total of four Servines! Chinchou struggles to aid her teammate but unfortunately ends up falling flat on her face. Now faced with a tough decision, both Mac and Saffron fire off their elemental beams of ice and fire towards the Cello images - only to completely miss their target, leaving behind one fake image and the real Cello.

Now ready for what may be her last breath, Cello draws forth her reserve energies to release a devastating Leaf Storm on the Porygon2. The merciless maelstrom scores a direct hit on its face, wrecking the virtual Pokemon for critical damage! As Luminato's head is still spinning, she finally pulls through and manages to fire back with an Ice Beam piercing Saffron's Pokedoll. Shocked at the frightening power the Servine holds, and not willing to gamble with one more fake image in tow, Mac unloads a triad of elemental force on the Chinchou. Upset with Servine's survivability at this point, Saffron fires a stray fireball which only ends up hitting the last image, leaving behind the real Cello.

With the Devil's luck in tow, Cello thanks her lucky PokeGods and releases one more Leaf Storm at the Porygon2 while Luminato follows up with a searing Scald. Both blows beat down Mac to incapacitation, making it unable to battle. As Mac slowly shuts down, Saffron shifts from confidence to hopelessness as she's now left to fight two more Pokemon by herself. Not willing to show it in the least, she fires back with another Ember hitting Cello for solid albeit underwhelming damage. With the tables turned in a blink of an eye, can Cello and Luminato capitalize? Or will Saffron withstand their double onslaught?

we have the speed advantage here guys so let's get him

Cello, your the fastest here so let's do a Magical Leaf to break the Substitute, follow up with a Leaf Storm and finish with Leaf Tornado

Luminato, this part relies heavily on you, the moment that Cello breaks that Substitute I want you to confuse him with a Confuse Ray, if he manages to set up a Substitute after being confused hit him with an Ice Beam, if not paralyze him with Thunder Wave, finish with an Ice Beam

Wow, bad luck...

Flamethrower Servine till it dies. once Servine is fainted, use the remaining actions to dragonclaw the chinchou

Standing her ground against two opponents, Saffron braces herself for Cello's wave of enchanted leaves. The wide arc never misses its mark, utterly obliterating the Substitute doll into dust and revealing the real Shelgon. At last, Luminato finds the opening she needs and releases a hallucinatory ray on the mighty dragon. The Confuse Ray scores a direct hit and messes up Saffron's focus. Although struggling to remain alert, the Shelgon does manage to fire off a Flamethrower at Cello, agitating its previous injuries and sending it falling backwards. Fortunately for the lucky Servine, he is able to at least stand, if only for one more time.

Cello takes a deep breath and focuses once more to release a devastating Leaf Storm, this time on Shelgon. While it would barely phase the proud mythical serpents, the subsequent boosts blessed by Cello's Contrary ability drive the attack to horrific heights, sending Saffron flying backwards from the brutal vortex. Landing with a hard thud on the clay, Saffron gets her act together and rights herself up, all the while preparing a Flamethrower to retaliate. Unfortunately, Luminato is much faster and shoots off a Thunder Wave the zaps the Shelgon into paralysis. Even worse, Saffron's muscles lock at this crucial moment, causing her to sink into the ground as she tries to shake it off.

Cello draws out a blistering twister that draws out the various leaves scattered all over the arena, wearing down Saffron more than ever. Meanwhile, Luminato charges up another crystalline beam from the rear. The Ice Beam chills Saffron for great damage, and freezes over her entire front! Locked deep within the ice, Saffron is completely unable to move - or is it? In the face of all this misfortune, the ice all around her face begins to shudder, crack, and melt away. Saffron releases a red hot stream right at Cello roasting him with intensity. The Servine collapses at last, his job fulfilled in this match.

The match is down to Luminato the Chinchou and Saffron the Shelgon. With Shelgon horribly beat and Luminato ready for seconds, can Luminato go for the finish? Or will Saffron pull out one last plan?

With her target struggling with ice and paralysis, Luminato takes a clear shot with a piercing Ice Beam, scoring a direct hit upon Saffron! The Shelgon struggles to withstand the attack and is ultimately left worse from the wear. Not standing for this any longer, the mighty dragon breaks free, sending ice shards flying everywhere. Going for one desperate blow, her paralysis kicks in at the worst moment, causing her to collapse onto the ground in mid-motion.

As Saffron struggles to her feet, Luminato fires one last Ice Beam, downing the dragon for good. With Saffron comatose on the clay ground, Luminato stands proud as the crowd goes wild! Team Steampowered wins!
