[OVERVIEW]

Rotom-H is a decent pivot in OU, capable of checking many threats that Rotom-W cannot beat, such as Grass-, Steel-, and Electric-types; more specifically, Serperior, Breloom, Ferrothorn, Scizor, Mega Manectric, and Thundurus. It also checks Fire-types that commonly run Grass-type coverage such as Mega Charizard Y and Volcarona better than Rotom-W. Rotom-H also has access to STAB Overheat, which allows it to OHKO Bisharp and Breloom, two threats that Rotom-W is incapable of OHKOing. However, this means that Rotom-H is completely walled by specially defensive Talonflame, as it no longer has access to STAB Hydro Pump. Rotom-H's Fire typing means that it is also immune to burns, which can make it much harder to wear down in comparison to Rotom-W. However, Rotom-H can be worn down very quickly due to its weakness to Stealth Rock, which shaves off a quarter of its HP with each switch in. Additionally, it struggles to take on common Ground-types such as Landorus-T, Excadrill, and Hippowdon, as they can bypass Levitate by hitting Rotom-H with a Rock-type coverage move. Other than facing competition from its other forme as a bulky pivot, Rotom-H must also contend with Heatran as a defensive Fire-type due to the latter's better typing, which grants it a neutrality to Stealth Rock as well as immunity to nearly all forms of passive damage. Additionally, Heatran is able to set up Stealth Rocks itself to support its team. However, Rotom-H is able to separate itself from Heatran with Levitate, its access to a recovery move in Pain Split, an additional status option in Thunder Wave, and a momentum-gaining STAB move in Volt Switch.

Moves
========

Overheat hits Steel- and Grass-types that Rotom-W cannot hit for super effective damage such as Ferrothorn, Mega Scizor, Serperior, and Breloom. Volt Switch allows Rotom-H to gain momentum off the likes of Heatran as well as pressure Water-types that attempt to switch in. It can also avoid Tyranitar when it switches in, avoiding being trapped by Pursuit. Pain Split is necessary for recovery and allows Rotom-H to stay healthy for long periods of time; it's also easy to take advantage of, since Rotom-H will lose HP quickly because of its Stealth Rock weakness. Thunder Wave can cripple the likes of Latios, Tyranitar, Water-types, Volcarona, Talonflame, and Mega Charizard X and Y. Will-O-Wisp can be used to cripple Ground-types, but Rotom-H doesn't need Will-O-Wisp because it doesn't need to cripple Steel-types when it can just OHKO them, unlike Rotom-W.

Set Details
========

248 HP EVs reduce damage taken from Stealth Rock and allows it to switch in four times when Stealth Rock is on the field. 220 Speed EVs allow Rotom-H to outrun Metagross prior to Mega Evolution, Bisharp, and Breloom and OHKO them with Overheat. The remaining EVs are placed in Defense with a Bold nature to increase Rotom-H's physical bulk slightly, which also hits a jump point, allowing Rotom-H to take hits from the likes of Talonflame better. Leftovers provides passive recovery which can slightly alleviate Rotom-H's weakness to Stealth Rock.

Usage Tips
========

Rotom-H should be switched into Steel-, Grass-, and Flying-types to threaten them out with Overheat and Volt Switch in order to cripple them or to gain momentum. If a switch is predicted, use Volt Switch in order to gain momentum, but be wary of Ground-type switch-ins. Rotom-H should also be switched into dangerous threats such as Mega Charizard X and Volcarona so that it can attempt to cripple them with Thunder Wave as soon as possible. Pain Split should be used to stay healthy when Rotom-H is weakened and can also be used to weaken Ground-types such as Hippowdon and Garchomp.

Team Options
========

Entry hazard removal is necessary when using Rotom-H, so Starmie, Latios, and Latias are viable team options. All of them appreciate Rotom-H covering Steel-types for them, while they can wear down Heatran in conjunction with Rotom-H or, in Latios's case, KO it right away with Surf or Earthquake. Starmie, Latios, and Latias are also capable of checking Keldeo, which is a big threat to Rotom-H. Pokemon capable of checking Excadrill such as Azumarill, Breloom, Tangrowth, Landorus-T, and even Mega Alakazam all help deal with Rotom-H's weakness to sand teams. Fighting-types such as Keldeo and Terrakion can pressure Rock-types such as Tyranitar and Mega Diancie, while Rotom-H takes on Flying-types and bulky Grass-types. Grass-types such as Serperior, Breloom, and Mega Venusaur can handle Water-types, while Rotom-H weakens or cripples opposing Fire-types such as Talonflame, Mega Charizard X, and Volcarona. Fairy-types like Clefable, Mega Gardevoir, and Mega Diancie appreciate Rotom-H taking on Steel-types such as Mega Scizor and Ferrothorn for them, while they handle Dragon-types that can be annoying for Rotom-H such as Kyurem-B, Latios, and Garchomp. Gengar in particular is a good teammate, as it appreciates Rotom-H taking on Tornadus-T for it and can spread status if Gengar is using Hex.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Toxic is another viable status move Rotom-H can run over Thunder Wave or Will-O-Wisp in order to cripple bulky Ground-types that can switch into it easily such as Garchomp and Hippowdon. Toxic also cripples other common switch-ins such as Latios, Mega Latias, and Gastrodon and also effectively shuts down the likes of Mega Charizard X and Y, Talonflame, Volcarona, and Mega Altaria. Rotom-H can utilize a Choice Scarf to act as a revenge killer and can cripple the likes of Chansey and Clefable with Trick. Snatch is an option that allows Rotom-H to stop the likes of Clefable and Mega Altaria, as it can steal their boosting and recovery moves and slowly chip away at them. Hidden Power Ice can be used to hit opposing Ground-types such as Garchomp, Landorus-T, and Gliscor, but it forces Rotom-H to drop a move, which it cannot really afford to do. Rotom-H can also run a specially defensive set in order to handle the likes of Mega Charizard Y and Serperior even better. ChestoResto can also be run for more reliable recovery and the ability to cure status, but this means Rotom-H loses out on passive recovery from Leftovers, and it can lose its one-time instant recovery from switching into an untimely Knock Off or Bug Bite.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Rock-types**: The likes of Tyranitar, Mega Diancie, and Terrakion can quickly shut down Rotom-H with their high-powered Rock-type STAB moves, while Rotom-H struggles to do anything back to them. Mega Diancie in particular has Magic Bounce, which completely stops Rotom-H from using status moves. Tyranitar and Terrakion must be wary of switching in due to the risk of taking a Will-O-Wisp.

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types are also annoying for Rotom-H, as they resist both of its STAB moves. The most Rotom-H can do to the likes of Latios and Latias is cripple them with Thunder Wave; meanwhile, Garchomp easily sets up on Rotom-H if it lacks Will-O-Wisp. Dragonite also sets up easily on Rotom-H because it commonly runs Lum Berry. Kyurem-B is also another pain because of Teravolt, which allows Earth Power to bypass Levitate, dealing 4x super effective damage.

**Ground-types**: Landorus-T can take on Rotom-H fairly well, as it commonly runs Rock-type coverage that can pick off Rotom-H easily. Excadrill can bypass Levitate with Mold Breaker and easily OHKO Rotom-H with Earthquake, while Sand Rush variants can heavily dent Rotom-H with Rock Slide, although Rotom-H OHKOes them with Overheat. Gliscor is capable of setting up on Rotom-H, as it takes little damage from Overheat and is immune to Thunder Wave, Volt Switch, and Will-O-Wisp. Hippowdon, Quagsire, and Gastrodon can also switch in freely as long as Rotom-H lacks Will-O-Wisp, as they can shrug off Overheat easily.

**Water-types**: Water-types such as Keldeo, Starmie, Manaphy, and Azumarill all deal heavy damage to Rotom-H. However, Rotom-H can effectively deter them from switching in with the threat of Volt Switch and Thunder Wave, limiting their sweeping potential. Gastrodon and Quagsire deserves mentions as they are immune to Electric-type moves and completely wall Rotom-H.

**Special Walls**: Specially defensive Pokemon such as Chansey, Mega Latias, and Clefable are completely capable of walling Rotom-H as it cannot do anything to any of them apart from stealing their support moves with Snatch. However, Chansey lacking Toxic cannot touch Rotom-H and Clefable cannot touch Rotom-H without Calm Mind or Toxic, making Unaware and Life Orb variants ineffective answers to it.

Your current EV spread is missing a few points because it should be 240 HP / 48 Def / 220 Spe.

Add Mega Gardevoir to teammates, because Rotom-H covers Scizor really well, and can bring Gardevoir in safely via Volt Switch, while Gardevoir in exchange breaks past the likes of Kyurem-B, bulky Garchomp, and Lati@s.

Overview
Its worth mentioning that Rotom-H hates Heatran which one of the main problems it has that Wash doesn't. Overheat also needs to be emphasized more here as it is the only difference besides typing among Rotom forms.

Moves
Regarding the Snatch mention I think that can go to OO.

Set Details
It also outspeeds Mega Meta before mega evolving and hits that thing off with Overheat

Team Options
Clefable as a partner for same reasons as Garde/Diancie except from a more defensive standpoint and Rotom helps it with Talon as well.

Gengar loves Volt-Turn and checking Torn, appreciates status spreading if its a Hex variant.

Other Options
I would put HP Ice in OO since it doesn't miss against Lando/Chomp and it lets you beat Gliscor, and hits stuff like Dragonite too.

I would put a mention of SpD too, for better checking Zard Y, Serp, etc.

Overview:
However, Rotom-H's weakness to Stealth Rock and weakness to very common offensive types in OU hurt its viability, meaning that it can be worn down very quickly, and it struggles to take on Excadrill and Landorus-T as effectively as Rotom-W as they can bypass it easily with their Rock-type coverage. As well as facing competition from its other forme, Rotom-H also faces tough competition from Heatran which is much harder to wear down because of its neutrality to Stealth Rock, and immunity to nearly all forms of passive damage. Rotom-H also has access to Thunder Wave, somewhat reliable recovery in Pain Split, an immunity to Ground-type moves, and Volt Switch, which help separate it from Heatran.
  • I think this could be worded better; I did a variation below -
    • However, Rotom-H can be worn down very quickly due to its weakness to Stealth Rock, which shaves off a quarter of its HP with each switch-in. Additionally, it struggles to take on common Ground-types such as Landorus-T, Excadrill, and Hippowdon, as they can bypass Levitate by hitting Rotom-H with a Rock-type coverage move. As well as facing competition from its other forme as a bulky pivot, Rotom-H must also contend with Heatran as a defensive Fire-type due to the latter's better typing, which grants it a neutrality to Stealth Rock as well as immunity to nearly all forms of passive damage.
  • Also mention Rotom-H's immunity to burns compared to Rotom-W, but it can no longer check Pokemon like SpDef Talonflame without the STAB Hydro Pump
Set:

You're still missing 4 EVs (did you implement Hootie's check?); the spread should be 248 HP / 40 Def / 220 Spe Bold though.
  • HP should be maximized because of Rotom-H's extremely low base HP stat (and 248 HP doesn't make it any more susceptible to hazards than 240 HP, remove that),
  • 220 Speed is the benchmark you want to hit 263, not 216 Speed,
  • 40 Def with the Bold nature grabs the jump point in Defense.
Other Options:
  • I really want to see a Toxic mention here. It adequately threatens a lot of Rotom-H's usual switch-ins like Lati@s, Mega Latias, Gastrodon, Hippowdon, Landorus-T, and Garchomp. Additionally, it still threatens Pokemon like Charizard, Volcarona, and Altaria that would have been threatened by TWave, and gives you a reliable way to actually beat SpDef Talonflame 1v1.
  • Chest Resto should be mentioned for more reliable recovery and a way to peel status. If you really don't think it's good, it should still be mentioned along with a reason why it shouldn't be used, because it was common on Rotom-W and its good to distinguish between the two Pokemon.
C&C:
  • Under Rock-types, make sure you mention that Tyranitar and Terrakion have to be wary of switching into Will-O-Wisp.
  • Garchomp shouldn't be listed under the Ground-types because it rarely runs Rock coverage (that is the group of Pokemon you are mentioning it with, it is fine to keep the mention of Garchomp in the Dragon-types section) and non-Scarf Excadrill shouldn't be listed either as it can't switch into Overheat / Will-O-Wisp and doesn't usually run Rock Slide itself (and even when it does, it can't OHKO Rotom-H after Rocks, whereas Rotom-H can OHKO back with Overheat as discussed in the QC chat). Mention that the bulkier Ground-types typically don't fear switching into Rotom-H due to taking little damage from Overheat and being immune to paralysis.
  • I would move Dragon-types to right below Rock-types, as they are the second most threatening to Rotom-H in my opinion.
  • Is Slowbro really worth a mention in the Water-types C&C? Rotom-H just volts out of it, and there isn't a circumstance where you'd want to switch Rotom-H into it. I think you should stick to just mentioning faster Water-types (Keldeo and Starmie which you've mentioned, and Manaphy as well are good ones), and then Pokemon like Gastrodon / Swampert / Quagsire that are immune to volt, Rotom-W which has a volt neutrality, and Azumarill who can bypass the speed issue with Aqua Jet.
  • Move Special Walls to the bottom, since they are defensive C&Cs and don't actively threaten Rotom-H (in most cases, they threaten a standstill, which should be separated from the other offensive C&Cs you have listed). Chansey can't actually beat Rotom-H without Toxic because Pain Split will regain nearly all of Rotom-H's HP with every use, and Will-O-Wisp variants can even force Chansey out. Clefable can't beat Rotom-H either without CM or Toxic; I think it's good to mention that even if it seems like fluff because you can't throw, say, an Unaware or LO Clefable on a team to 1v1 Rotom-H.
Looks good otherwise, QC 3/3

Snatch is an option that allows Rotom-H to stop the likes of Clefable and Mega Altaria, (AC) as it can steal their boosting and recovery moves and slowly chip away at them.

===================

**Rock-types**: The likes of Tyranitar, Mega Diancie, and Terrakion can quickly shut down Rotom-H with their high-powered (add hyphen) Rock-type STAB moves, while Rotom-H struggles to do anything back to them. Mega Diancie in particular has Magic Bounce, (AC) which completely stops Rotom-H from using status moves. Tyranitar and Terrakion must be wary of switching in due to the risk of taking a Will-O-Wisp.

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types are also annoying for Rotom-H, (AC) as they resist both of its STAB moves. The most Rotom-H can do to the likes of Latios and Latias is cripple them with Thunder Wave; (SC) meanwhile, (AC) Garchomp easily sets up on Rotom-H(space)if it lacks Will-O-Wisp. Dragonite also sets up easily on Rotom-H because it commonly runs Lum Berry. Kyurem-B is also another pain in particular because of Teravolt, which allows Earth Power to bypass Levitate, dealing 4x super effective(space)damage.

**Ground-types**: Landorus-T can take on Rotom-H fairly well, (AC) as it commonly runs Rock-type coverage which that can pick off Rotom-H easily. Excadrill can bypass Levitate with Mold Breaker and easily OHKO Rotom-H with Earthquake, while Sand Rush variants can heavily dent Rotom-H with Rock Slide, although Rotom-H OHKOes them with Overheat. Gliscor is capable of setting up on Rotom-H, (AC) as it takes little damage from Overheat and is immune to Thunder Wave, Volt Switch, and Will-O-Wisp. Hippowdon, Quagsire, and Gastrodon can also switch in freely as long as Rotom-H lacks Will-O-Wisp, (AC) as they can shrug off Overheat easily.

**Water-types**: Water-types such as Keldeo, Starmie, Manaphy, and Azumarill all deal heavy damage to Rotom-H. However, Rotom-H can effectively deter them from switching in with the threat of Volt Switch and Thunder Wave, which can prevent them from dealing too much damage (using "doing damage" in this case is a bit weird, maybe "...and Thunder Wave, limiting their sweeping potential?"). Gastrodon and Quagsire deserves mentions as they are immune to Electric-type moves and completely wall Rotom-H.

**Special Walls**: Specially defensive Pokemon such as Chansey, Mega Latias, and Clefable are completely capable of walling Rotom-H, (AC) as it cannot do anything to either any of them apart from stealing their support moves with Snatch. However, Chansey lacking Toxic cannot touch Rotom-H without Toxic and Clefable cannot touch Rotom-H without Calm Mind or Toxic, making Unaware and Life Orb variants ineffective answers to it.
