Emboar starts off by ramming its rock solid skull into Pyroak, doing immense damage. However, Pyroak cannot even manage to retaliate, as it's still recovering from that combo last round. Emboar, suspecting a powerful incoming attack, creates two clones of itself. However, Pyroak is prepared for that, and causes an eruption of lava to hit all of the clones, which makes all clones dissipate. Finally, Emboar creates a protective barrier against opposing attacks. Not wanting to waste energy, Pyroak takes the opportunity to Chill. Looks like Pyroak took some decent damage that round, but it really made a dent into Emboar's Energy.

Emboar then uses a ton of its energy to create four clones of itself. Pyroak seems to be countering Emboar's every move, as it spurts lava all over the arena to cause some mild damage and destroy all of the clones. Emboar gives up on stalling, and tries to smash into Pyroak head first, but it misses completely, and halts to a stop just before nailing its head into a hard wall. Pyroak uses this free turn as an opportunity to relax and restore some energy.

This is attack is so devastatingly powerful that Emboar has to use up all of its energy, and promptly faints. Pyroak looks extremely tired, but it still somehow has enough energy to move on.
NO CALCS NEEDED. The combo costs 24.75 EN, so Pyroak still has 3 EN left. Meanwhile, the Protect is WAY more than 9 EN...

Meanwhile, Salamence is using these free turns to set up for something big, as it sets up a Substitute to block potential status moves, makes a wish to help regain health from any potential attacks, and hopes for to spook Pyroak with a mighty Headbutt. What's this? Pyroak looks rather shaken up... Almost Intimidated by the increasingly scary Salamence.
