Team King Serperior:

Nidoking [Tyrant] (Male)
Mild: (+1 Sp.Atk, -1 Def)
Poison: Poison STAB; immunity to Poison/Toxic, see and breath through smog/smokescreens/haze uninhibited. Able to use Wrap and Bind without losing focus. Superior senses in urban settings.

Type: Fighting
Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions on Circle Throw, Seismic Toss, Sky Drop, Storm Throw, Submission, and Vital Throw. Superior reaction time in close quarters.

Abilities:

This Pokemon is tenacious and will work ever harder when under a status condition, raising the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by two (2). Pokemon with Guts ignore the attack drop from burn.

No Guard Type: Innate
This Pokemon has an immense confidence from perfecting each of its attacks, giving them all perfect accuracy. As a result, it feels it can weather every strike, and will not dodge an attack even if ordered to. Only when an OHKO move is issued by the opponent does sense return, and the Pokemon acts normally. Additionally, even with their extra skill, the power and exhaustion involved in using OHKO moves prevents them from being benefited by No Guard; they will have their normal accuracy.

Steadfast Type: Innate (DW)
If this Pokemon is flinched, it becomes aware of the speed difference and increases Speed by one (1) stage to make up the difference. This Speed boost is maintained at the end of each round.

Samantha slowly walked onto the field, immediatly overwhelmed by the amount of people who had showed up and were cheering her on. The last time she was in a tournament, she faced a brutal R1 extermination by now-gym-leader Its_A_Random. Now she was back with friends, and was ready to crush this new kid. She told the referee her pick of Pokemon and Heads/Tails, and won. For some reason, she was told to go first. After about thirty minutes of arguing with the ref, they rerolled with the opponents permission, and now she was moving last. When King Serpirior called out his actions for the floating levathian, a little voice inside her head that she had self-diagnosed as insansity yelled at her: 'Use Knock Down!' After a discussion with the referee, she formulated her actions, with help from the strange voice in her head.

Welcome everyone, to the ASB Tournament Arena! Today, we are witnessing the Singles match between the Mysterious Masqueraders and the Soldiers of Gaia, with LadySalamence (From now on know as LS) and King Serperior (From now on known as KS) respectively representing each team. Each battler stands at their starting position, ready to release their first pokemon. Both trainers simultaneously throw one Poke Ball at the ground. With a flash, each trainer's pokemon is revealed. Out of LS's ball comes the Macho Four armed veteran known as Machamp, while KS has chosen the destructive serpentine Gyarados! KS gives himself a smug grin of satisfaction, as Gyarados clearly has a favorable matchup against LS's fighting heavy team

Before the trainers can issue their actions, Gyarados unleashes an intimidating roar, hoping to increase its powerful presence and weaken incoming physical attacks. To start the battle, Gyarados sets up a reflective barrier to block Machamp's potentially devastating attacks. However, before the water serpent can crash down upon it, Machamp uses its all-out attacking ability No Guard to gash Gyarados with huge stones, which Gyarados blocks.

After a moment to take in the situation, Gyarados quickly forms a giant stream of water around itself and crashes into Machamp. While Machamp tries to counter attack that powerful blow, it simply can't, as the impact of Gyarados's attack causes it to flinch. However, knowing that the flinching technique must be evaded in the future, Machamp activates its Steadfast ability, increasing its speed to prevent future flinches while also increasing overall agility.

The now faster Machamp quickly stomps into the ground and pulls massive boulders out, intending to fling them at Gyarados. The stones piledrive Gyarados into the ground. Gyarados then rushes itself into Machamp with another crashing waterfall. Machamp is now able to avoid the flinch, however, due to its new found agility.

After getting some hax against it, LS and Machamp are at a clear disadvantage. Will Machamp be able to use its new speed to defeat Gyarados, or will the Gyarados proceed to march straight through Machamp and continue ripping through LS's team with Moxie? Stay Tuned!

If Machamp is para'd, then how is it faster than Gyara?

And shouldn't you roll for the fully para chance?

AlchEdit: It isn't -- Gyarados never used Bounce in the first round (or any time since), so Machamp was never paralysed.

Oh whoops, he wasnt paralyzed. I accidentally just wrote Yes next to the Para roll of Body Slam, when the RNG was 7281.
