We will be battling in the thick jungle. It is very Humid and sticky, and the canopy hides the sun from the battle. The ground is riddled with puddles and many species of plants. There are no rocks however.

The jungle? It's so hot and humid... what is a Spheal doing in the jungle. I can't bear this heat.

FoxTrot

Diana the Carnivine (Female)

Nature: Modest

Type: Grass

Pokemon Plant-life, Grass-types make up the biochemical wing of Pokemon attacks. They blend in well in areas with lots of vegetation, suffer minimal ill effects from normal temperature ranges, and are otherwise a very bio-diverse assortment of Pokemon. Grass-types learn an eclectic array of moves for offensive and defensive purposes. Their natural energy process is aided by sunlight, allowing them to quickly summon Sunny Day. Their leaves and thorns provide ample implements for Swords Dance while their ability to live off solely sunlight, rainwater, and soil lets them use Growth for reduced energy as well. They draw energy from the moon and sun equally well, so in addition to Synthesis they also effectively utilize Moonlight and Morning Sun based on their activity cycles. They can also produce soothing scents and in general draw power from the nature around them. Pitted against each other, the only Grass-type attack each member of the type has built up a perfect defense to is Leech Seed. All the other various powders and seeds are either handled through a secondary type or an ability, if at all.

Summary: Grass STAB; immunity to Leech Seed and Worry Seed. 50% reduction in status effect chance of oncoming "powder" attacks. More mobile in areas with strong natural light sources. Superior senses in tall grass and forest areas. Able to use Wrap and Bind without losing focus.

Ability: Levitate (Passive)

This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit.

The Jungle is never silent, but a chilly breeze cuts through the Humid thicket, and the surrounding fauna hushes. Ahead of me lies my first opponent, a Exploring Trainer and his Zubat. Why he is in my homeland... never mind that. If his intentions are foul, the Jungle and its inhabitants will be able to respond accordingly.

I give a quick chirp, and Diana is by my side, retreating from her hiding spot. She gives a curious coo, and then raises her eyes to meet mine.

Battle?

Yes Diana.

*sniff* Zubats...

I chuckle quietly and give Diana a comforting pat on the head. She always was intimidated by the nocturnal beasts- She would always be sure to secure herself deep in a tangle of vines and vegetation once the sun dipped down, and the flocks of Golbat awoke for the night (There are a few cave systems in the western parts of the Vrushkian Jungle).

Oh well...

Don't worry. Win or Lose, we will learn. And that is what's most important, correct?

*Smiles* Yes!

Diana the Carnivine is ready to Battle! She holds a Chesto Berry!

Uh... yeah... backstories. I should have those...

I'm a clown!

Zubat, go! Do stuff!

Double Team (4) ~ Brave Bird ~ Air Cutter
Too lazy to make subs. have at 'em, foxtrot

I give a dreary shake of the head as the enemy Zubat suddenly duplicates, and Diana whimpers. Fear not little one, we can accomplish much! You will need to think outside the box... Are you not at home?

Yes..

You know this realm much better than he. Take a deep breath, and channel the energy of the Flora.

Alright... Sweet Scent!

Good idea Diana! But first, let's mimic the Opponent. This should leave us even... for now. Then, It would be wonderful for you to summon the soothing scents of our home! That should remove the enemy's tricks... and hopefully you will still your tricks! At this point, plant your roots, so you may take in the energy that the jungle provides!

Double Team (4 Clones)~Sweet Scent (It says it hits up to 3 pokemon... so this probably has a much better chance at breaking the clones)~Ingrain

That wasn't so bad now, was it Diana?

I guess, but we're still losing...

Don't focus on winning or losing. Focus on your attacks. Make them count, and do your best.

Ok...

I wipe my brow as the Jungle heat sends sweat down my face. Diana however loves this humidity; This is her natural habitat afterall.

My opponent seems to be taking to the climate fairly poorly... he is red-faced and drenched! I wonder why he has embarked this far into the wilderness... The Village isn't very far , but the nearest City is quite a distance away.

Perhaps he was in search of exotic pokemon for his journey? Or maybe he is an explorer... but never mind that! Oh Diana! Let us continue this match, we can still prevail!

Okey Dokey!
