[OVERVIEW]

Sandile's high Attack and decent Speed make it a decent Choice Scarf sweeper, especially when combined with its unique Dark / Ground typing, which very few Pokemon resist, and its fantastic ability, Moxie, which boosts its Attack each time it scores a KO. It also has good coverage moves, such as Fire Fang, that allow it to surprise slower would-be counters, hitting them even harder after Moxie boosts its Attack. However, Sandile is weak to several common offensive types such as Water, Grass, and Fighting, as well as to common priority moves such as Mach Punch, Vacuum Wave, and Aqua Jet, which is further compounded by its terrible bulk. Its mediocre Speed also means that it's reliant on a Choice Scarf in order to not get outsped and OHKOed, which means that it can be very difficult for Sandile to get going, as the opponent can just switch in a Pokemon that resists the move Sandile is locked into. Its lack of Knock Off and recovery moves also means that it faces stiff competition as an offensive Dark-type from Pawniard and Vullaby and as an offensive Ground-type from Diglett, which is faster and hits harder before Moxie.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Earthquake is a powerful STAB move that does huge damage after one or two Moxie boosts, especially to common Pokemon such as Onix and Mareanie that are weak to it. Crunch is a great secondary STAB option to hit Flying-types or anything weak to it. Fire Fang is a great way to heavily damage Pokemon such as Ferroseed and Cottonee, which resist Sandile's STAB moves. Pursuit is a good option to trap Abra and Gastly as they try to switch out, while Stone Edge does decent damage to Flying-types such as Vullaby and Doduo as they try to switch in.

Set Details
========

Maximum Attack and Speed investment allows Sandile to hit as hard and fast as possible. This is augmented by a fantastic sweeping ability in Moxie, boosting Sandile's Attack each time it scores a KO. The remaining EVs are used to boost Sandile's Defense by one point and help Sandile better take physical priority hits; however, they still hit Sandile hard due to its poor bulk. Adamant is the preferred nature to hit as hard as possible, but Jolly can be used to outpace other 16 Speed Choice Scarf users like Pawniard and Rufflet. Choice Scarf raises Sandile's Speed to a very good 24 with an Adamant nature at the cost of being locked into a move; however, Choice Scarf is necessary for Sandile to do its job.

Usage Tips
========

Choice Scarf Sandile is best used as a cleaner later in the match when Pokemon that can wall it have been eliminated, especially after any Flying-types or Pokemon such as Cottonee and Vullaby that resist both of Sandile's STAB moves have been eliminated. Sandile is also very weak to a number of priority moves such as Mach Punch and Vacuum Wave, so it's good to clear out Pokemon such as Timburr and Croagunk that often have priority moves. The biggest difficulty with this set is beginning its sweep; Sandile is a nightmare for anything that doesn't resist it once Moxie activates, but before that happens, it's very difficult to score a KO on anything to activate Moxie. As a result, Sandile should be brought in on a weakened Pokemon or one that it can hit super effectively to score a quick KO. Sandile can also be used as either a revenge killer with its excellent Speed from Choice Scarf or a Pursuit trapper for Pokemon such as Abra and Gastly. However, if you're using Sandile as a revenge killer, keep in mind that its Attack is rather low before Moxie activates. Avoid switching Sandile into an attack, as its awful bulk means that it cannot take a hit from anything that it does not resist, and when predicting a switch-in that is resistant or immune to Sandile's STAB attacks, always use super effective or neutral coverage. Avoid using Fire Fang unless you are expecting the opponent to switch into a Pokemon such as Ferroseed that would wall Sandile's STAB moves.

Team Options
========

Counters to Fighting-types, such as Spritzee or Snubbull, are necessary for Sandile to do its job, as both have the bulk to deal with a Mach Punch or Vacuum Wave. It's a good idea to have Knock Off support from Pokemon such as Pawniard or Mienfoo to remove Eviolite from foes, as Sandile benefits greatly from foes having reduced bulk. Knock Off can also be used to remove Choice Scarfs from foes such as Mienfoo and Doduo, both of which outspeed Sandile and often carry Choice Scarf. Poison-types such as Foongus are good partners with this set, as they check Sandile's Fighting, Grass, and Fairy weaknesses and in turn can use Sandile to check their Psychic weakness. Stealth Rock support from Dwebble or Archen is also good to have, as it helps wear down Flying-types hoping to switch into an Earthquake. Magnemite is a good partner to Sandile, as it deals with Fairy-types and can serve as a second check to Water-types. Croagunk can also be useful as a Fairy check.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Thunder Fang is an option to remove Water-types and Vullaby, but it's inadvisable to get locked into, and having a Ground-type as your answer to Water-types is generally a bad idea. Life Orb is also an option, but the boost in Speed from a Choice Scarf is more appreciated, as Sandile can boost its own Attack with Moxie. Life Orb also tends to wear it down quickly. Iron Tail can be used, but it's extremely inaccurate, and, outside of removing Fairy-types, it has horrible coverage. Sandile can also run Aqua Tail, but it provides no coverage outside of hitting Mudbray and Archen, both of which are already hit hard by Sandile's STAB moves. Sandile can also be run with Intimidate and an Eviolite as a bulky utility Pokemon, but it tends to be better when used as a sweeper, as it has no recovery and is very frail even after EV investment.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-types:** Fairy-types resist Crunch and usually have the bulk to tank Sandile's other moves. Cottonee functions especially well at this, as it resists both Earthquake and Crunch.

**Flying-types:** Flying-types are immune to Earthquake and can set up easily on a Choice-locked Sandile. Vullaby also resists Crunch, making it an even larger problem.

**Fighting-types:** Pokemon such as Timburr and Mienfoo generally have the bulk to take an Earthquake and can OHKO Sandile. Sandile also cannot take a Mach Punch or Vacuum Wave, which some Fighting-types carry, rendering its Choice Scarf useless.

**Grass-types:** Most Grass-types such as Snivy and Pumpkaboo-XL have the bulk to take an Earthquake and retaliate with a super effective STAB move.

Overview
* I wouldn't call Sandile an excellent Choice Scarf user. Instead just say that it's a decent Choice Scarf user.
* Change 'rather frail' to 'very frail'
* Your 'Easily walled before Moxie' line is a little vague - why exactly is it easily walled before its attack boosts? Explain.
* Say that because it lacks Knock Off and recovery, it faces competition as an offensive Dark-type from Pawniard and Vullaby.
* Add that it also has competition as an offensive Ground-type, and give examples of mons that are generally better in that role.

SET: SCARFDILE (GP will probably change the name, but I'll keep it for now)
Set
* Remove Aqua Tail. It has pretty limited use outside of hitting stuff that's already hit hard by Sandile's STAB attacks, so it isn't necessary.
* Put Pursuit before Stone Edge in the fourth slot - Pursuit trapping is generally a more valuable trait of this set than Stone Edge.

Moves
* Remove Aqua Tail mentions and mention Pursuit before Stone Edge in its line.
* Give examples of some Pokemon that Earthquake hits for good damage (aim for Pokemon that take super effective damage from the attack).
* Give examples of Pokemon you say resist Earthquake but are hit by Crunch/
* I think it'd be better when talking about Fire Fang to say that it specifically hits Ferroseed and Cottonee, as these Pokemon otherwise wall Sandile.
* Give more examples of Pokemon hit by Stone Edge than just Vullaby. Dwebble and Doduo are also good examples.
* Say that Pursuit allows Sandile to function as a revenge killer and trapper

Set Details
* Be specific about your Attack and Speed investment. Either say 'maximum investment in Attack and Speed' or give exact numbers.
* You need to talk about Sandile's natures, you seem to have forgotten about that. Talk about why Adament is the preferred nature (hits hard and Sandile's already pretty fast) but also say that Jolly can be used for outpacing Choice Scarf Chinchou.
* You also need to talk about the Defense investment. Just say that it helps Sandile boost its Defense by two points, since I don't think it survives any notable attacks with the defensive investment.

Usage Tips
* You should give more examples of Pokemon that wall Sandile. Flying-types are good ones, but this sections a little empty so giving more examples would be nice.
* Your second line is a little vague. Simplify 'get it going' into something like 'beginning Sandile's sweep' and explain why its hard.
* Add here that Sandile needs to look out for priority. Give examples of powerful priority attacks (Timburr's Mach Punch, Croagunk's Vacuum Wave, etc.) and say that its best that users of priority are removed before Sandile tries cleaning up late game.
* Add that Sandile shouldn't switch in on any attacks due to its poor bulk.
* I'd also add that when predicting a switch into a pokemon resistant or immune to its STAB attacks, Sandile should use super effective or neutral coverage

Team Options
* "Sandile benefits greatly from the reduce in bulk" - here, it sounds like you're saying that Sandile's OWN bulk decreases. Replace 'the reduce in bulk' with 'foes' reduce in bulk'
* Trubbish isn't very relevant, so remove its mention. In place of Trubbish, you can just say that Poison-types are good partners for the same reasons you listed as Trubbish. Give some examples.
* You need to mention Fairy-type checks. Fairies are a huge pain to Sandile, so give some examples of Pokemon capable of dealing with or weakening them for Sandile.
* You also need to add checks to Fighting-types here. Give examples and elaborate on what your examples do for Sandile.

SET: BULKY UTILITY
I've been doing some talking with other QC members, and have come to the decision that Bulky Utility isn't a good enough set to warrant its own section in the analysis. Sorry, you'll have to scrap this.

Other Options
* Replace Choice Band with Life Orb. Both items have very similar damage outputs, which with exception of a few Pokemon, almost always makes Life Orb the better option.
* Add that Iron Tail also has poor accuracy.
* Mention the bulky utility set here, but say that Sandile's lack of recovery and general frailty after investment makes it a really mediocre utility Pokemon
* Add Aqua Tail here and say that it hits specific threats like Mudbray and Archen, but has limited use otherwise and usually takes up coverage.

Checks and Counters
* Give examples of Fairy-types. Cottonee needs a specific mention, since its resists both of Sandile's STAB attacks.
* Remove the 'Super Effective Attacks' section - this just feels like you're trying to condense a ton of different checks into one section, but usually makes it hard to specify what exactly checks Sandile.
* Add a Fighting-type section. Give examples of Fighting-types and say that most can take a hit and OHKO Sandile with super effective STAB attacks (don't give Croagunk as an example since its weak to Earthquake).
* Add a Grass-type section. Most Grass-types can also take a hit or two and retaliate with super effective STAB. Give examples.
* Give examples of Flying-types that set up on Sandile (Vullaby and Bulk Up Rufflet are probably the best examples)

Implement all of this, then tag me. This is a lot, so I'd like to give this a final look before stamping it.

Edit: looks good, further changes were discussed on Discord

[OVERVIEW]
  • STAB Pursuit needs to be mentioned somewhere.
  • When the most used Pokemon in LC (Vullaby) resists both of Sandile's STABs, you can't say 'virtually nothing resists it'. As such, change it to 'very few Pokemon'.
  • In your first line you say it has high Attack, and three lines later you say it has a low Attack. In reality, its Attack is pretty good. Change that line to saying that it can be easily walled before getting a Moxie boost because it's forced to lock itself into a move with Choice Scarf. If I'm honest, I'm also fine with you removing this line alltogether.
  • Mention that Sandile's frailty means that it always needs to hold a Choice Scarf in order to not get outsped and OHKOed, meaning it has to lock itself into a move.
  • Mention its decent-at-best defensive typing, as it leaves it weak to common priority moves in Mach Punch, Vacuum Wave, and Aqua Jet.
  • Mention Alolan Grimer in your Dark-type line, and say that it and Pawniard also give it competition as a Pursuit trapper.
  • Diglett doesn't really give Sandile any competition, since Diglett is weaker and is only used as a trapper. Mudbray is a better example, as it is significantly more powerful and has better coverage.

Moves
========
  • Pursuit is not the thing that allows Sandile to function as a revenge killer, Choice Scarf is (you're not always using Pursuit when you revenge kill). In stead, mention that Pursuit can be used to KO or otherwise significantly hurt Pokemon like Abra and Gastly.
Set Details
========
  • Choice Scarf needs to be mentioned here
  • The Defense investment only raises it by one point.
  • Jolly isn't only to outspeed Choice Scarf Chinchou; it also outpaces other 16 Speed Scarfers like Pawniard and Rufflet. Just say '16 Speed Choice Scarf users like...'
Usage Tips
========
  • Mention using Pursuit to trap Psychic- and Ghost-types like Abra and Gastly.
  • Mention that Sandile's high Speed with Choice Scarf means that it can be used as a revenge killer.
  • Your second line isn't very useful; it doesn't actually tell the reader how to start a sweep. As such, you should say something like 'Because of this, Sandile should be brought in on a weakened threat or something it can hit super effectively when it wants to clean.'
Team Options
========
  • Mention that Knock Off can also remove Choice Scarves from faster Pokemon like Doduo and Mienfoo (Foo ties with Sandile if Sandile is Jolly), allowing Sandile to not fear being outsped when it attempts to clean late-game.
  • Fairy-types like Spritzee and Snubbull are far better answers to Fighting-types than Doduo and Rufflet, as they actually resist Fighting.
  • You are too specific with your counters. Just include a general category for Fairy-type checks and give Magnemite and Croagunk as examples.
  • Include a section for Fighting-types, as they appreciate Sandile dealing with Psychic-, Poison-, and Ghost-types, while in return they check Dark-types
Other Options
=============
  • Why is it bad to only hit Mudbray and Archen? Mention that they are already hit by Sandile's STAB.
Checks and Counters
===================
  • The formatting here is wrong, it should be **Check/Counter**: and with a line break in between each section.
  • Mention Vullaby in your Flying section, as it also resists Crunch.
  • Remove your Bulky Flying-types section, you already have a Flying-type section.
  • Change 'Will-O-Wisp' to 'Burns' in your Passive Damage section, as Will-O-Wisp doesn't whittle Sandile down, the burn does. I also don't think Spikes deserves a mention here since Sandile will go down to any attack anyway, no matter how high or low HP it is. As such, change this section to 'Burns'.

Its lack of access to Knock Off and recovery moves also means that it faces stiff competition as an offensive Dark-type from Pawniard and Vullaby,(RC) and as an offensive Ground-type from Diglett, which is faster and hits harder before Moxie.

Moves
========
Earthquake is a powerful STAB move that does huge damage after one or two Moxie boosts, especially to common pokemon Pokemon such as Onix and Mareanie that are weak to it. Crunch is a great secondary STAB option to hit Flying-types or anything weak to it. Fire Fang is a great way to heavily damage pokemon Pokemon such as Ferroseed and Cottonee, which resist Sandile's STAB moves. Pursuit is a good option to trap Abra and Gastly as they try to switch out, while Stone Edge does decent damage to Flying-types such as Vullaby and Doduo as they try to switch in.

Set Details
========
Maximum attack Attack and speed Speed investment allow allows Sandile to hit as hard and fast as possible. This is augmented by a fantastic sweeping ability in Moxie, boosting Sandile's attack Attack each time it scores a KO. The remaining EVs are used to boost Defense by one point and help Sandile better take physical priority hits;(SC),(RC) however, those they still hit Sandile it hard due to Sandile's its (flow) poor bulk. Adamant is the preferred nature to hit as hard as possible, however,(RC) but (avoid use of semicolon) Jolly can be used to outpace other 16 Speed Choice Scarf users like Pawniard and Rufflet. Choice Scarf raises Sandile's Speed to a very good 24 with an Adamant nature, at the cost of being locked into a move; however, Choice Scarf is necessary for Sandile to do its job.

Usage Tips
========
Scarfed Choice Scarf Sandile is best used as a cleaner later in the match when Pokemon that can wall it have been eliminated, especially after any Flying-types or pokemon Pokemon such as Cottonee and Vullaby that resist both of Sandile's STAB moves have been eliminated. Sandile is also very weak to a number of priority moves such as Mach Punch and Vacuum Wave, so it's good to clear out pokemon Pokemon such as Timburr and Croagunk that often have priority moves. The biggest difficulty with this set is beginning its sweep; Sandile is a nightmare for anything that doesn't resist it once Moxie activates, but before that happens,(AC) it's very difficult to score a KO on anything to activate Moxie. As such, Sandile should be brought in on a weakened pokemon Pokemon or one that it can hit super effectively to score a quick KO. Sandile can also be used as a revenge killer with its excellent speed Speed from the Choice Scarf boost,(RC) or as a Pursuit trapper for pokemon Pokemon such as Abra and Gastly. However, if using Sandile as a revenge killer, keep in mind that its attack Attack is rather low before Moxie activates. Avoid switching Sandile into an attack, as its awful bulk means that it cannot take a hit from anything it does not resist, and when predicting a switch in switch-in that is resistant or immune to Sandile's STAB attacks, always use super effective or neutral coverage. Avoid using Fire Fang unless you are expecting the opponent to switch into a pokemon Pokemon such as Ferroseed that would wall Sandile's STAB moves.

Team Options
========

Counters to Fighting-types are necessary for Sandile to do its job, such as Spritzee or Snubbull;(SC),(RC) both of which have the bulk to deal with a Mach Punch or Vacuum Wave. It's a good idea to have Knock Off support from something Pokemon such as Pawniard or Mienfoo to remove Eviolites Eviolite from opponents foes, as Sandile benefits greatly from foes' reduce in foes having reduced bulk. Knock Off can also be used to remove Choice Scarves Scarf from foes such as Mienfoo and Doduo, both of which outspeed Sandile and often carry Choice Scarves Scarf. (add period) Poison-types such as Foongus are good partners with this set, as they check Sandile's Fighting, Grass,(AC) and Fairy weaknesses,(RC) and in turn can use Sandile to check their Psychic weaknesses weakness. Stealth Rock support from Dwebble or Archen is also good to have from Dwebble or Archen (flow), as it helps wear down Flying-types hoping to switch into an Earthquake. Magnemite is a good partner to Sandile, as it deals with Fairy-types and can serve as a second check to Water-types. Croagunk can also be useful as a Fairy check.

Other Options
=============

Thunder Fang is an option for this set (there's only one set) to remove Water-types and Vullaby, but it's inadvisable to get locked into that, and having a Ground-type as your answer to Water-types is generally a bad idea. Life Orb is also an option, however,(RC) but the boost in speed Speed from a Choice Scarf is more appreciated, as Sandile can boost its own attack after Attack with Moxie. Life Orb also tends to wear it down quickly. Iron Tail can be used, but it's extremely inaccurate,(AC) and outside of removing Fairy-types,(AC) it has horrible coverage. It's also extremely inaccurate. (more condensed) Sandile can also run Aqua Tail, but it has n provides no coverage outside of hitting Mudbray and Archen, both of which are already hit hard by Sandile's STAB moves. Sandile can also be run with Intimidate and an Eviolite as a bulky utility pokemon Pokemon, but it tends to be better when used as a sweeper, as it has no recovery and is very frail even after EV investment.(period)

Checks and Counters
===================
**Fairy-types:** These Fairy-types resist Crunch and usually have the bulk to tank Sandile's other moves. Cottonee functions especially well at this, as it resists both Earthquake and Crunch.(period)

**Flying-types:** Flying-types are immune to Earthquake and can set up easily on a Choice-locked Sandile. Vullaby also resists Crunch, making it an even larger problem. (add period)

**Fighting-types:** Pokemon such as Timburr and Mienfoo generally have the bulk to take an Earthquake and can OHKO it Sandile.

(add period)

[OVERVIEW]

Sandile's high Attack and decent Speed make it a decent Choice Scarf sweeper, especially when combined with its unique Dark / Ground typing, which very few Pokemon resist, and its fantastic ability, Moxie, which boosts its Attack each time it scores a KO. It also has good coverage moves, (AC) (seems to be implied as nonrestrictive) such as Fire Fang, which that allow it to surprise slower would-be counters, hitting them even harder after Moxie boosts its Attack.
