How do you edit the server.properties in the configuration? I tried it on wordpad and I couldn't save it. What am I doing wrong?

You don't have permission to save it.
I'm going to assume you are using Microsoft ® Windows Vista ®, since you don't say and you mentioned Wordpad. Find Wordpad in the start menu and then do right click -> run as admin on it. Now, in that instance of Wordpad, open server.properties, and you will be able to save it.

I did that and it worked. I tried starting Shoddy on the Sevices of Admin Tools and I got this message:
Windows could not start the Shoddy Battle Server sevice on Local Computer.
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly
What should I do?
