Sharing is Caring (Kinda) Tournament: The Display Thread

Advertising a few bugs. You don't get long walls of text because you wouldn't read them anyway. Oh, don't give me that look. We both know it's true.

Volcarona: Maxed and owned by the king of bugs himself. Volcarona can't really deal well with rock types and is best partnered with something that can. As for everything else, well, 100/1/4/5/4/100 are really fantastic stats that give it an advantage in most cases. While her movepool isn't terribly wide, she hits hard enough and has just the coverage she needs to deal with most non-rock threats.

Syclant: Don't let the weaknesses fool you, Syclant is tough. With U-Turn and a one turn immunity to rock attacks, as well as powerful grass, water, and ground moves it is hard to say that rock types are a huge counter to her. Fire types are problematic, but a fast dig and the aforementioned water and ground moves help close the gap a little bit. But ignoring frailty, Syclant has Spikes and a ton of high powered coverage options, as well as the ability to use Blizzard+Sheer Cold in hail or even just Sheer Cold+Ice beam boosted by Compoundeyes. Effectively, Syclant is a fantastic glass cannon that has the tools and power it needs to abuse most situations while being harder to pin down than it looks.

Heracross: Heracross is a beast that is extremely hard to abuse. Guts+high attack+high quality STAB with high power forms a nasty offensive combination that can be nigh impossible to stop. Even for things that could reliably counter Heracross, and there are very few, powerful rock and ground attacks combined with Bide and Counter can help keep things close. Beyond that, enjoy wrecking things with STAB Megahorn from R5 attack backed by STAB Low Kick, Close Combat, and Focus Punch. Even flying types don't take Stone Edges terribly well.

Scizor: Like Volcarona, Scizor has precisely one real problem. Pair Scizor with something that can deal with Fire-types and you are absolutely set. With one weakness, as well as Light Screen, Rain Dance and decent defenses, it can be very hard to beat Scizor in a straight damage race without Fire STAB. While it may not seem like much in the coverage department, Scizor really has the tools it needs in rock, flying, steel, bug, dark, and fighting coverage to land super effective hits on many of the game's biggest threats. It also dominates the priority game through Technician Bullet Punch and Light Metal. And, when in doubt, Scizor's bulk and offensive power mean that in exchange of neutral hits will often land squarely in Scizor's court.

Armaldo: Armaldo is one of the few Pokemon in the game to get Stealth Rock, Rapid Spin, and the bulk and offensive power to pull them off well. To top it off, with his new Signature Item, Claw Fossil, Armaldo is now a special tank in the sand with enough speed to reliably disrupt opposing strategies. He hits hard with powerful physical attacks from STAB, with enough coverage in water and ground moves to hit most major threats to it, such as steel types.

Volcarona [Flare] (F)
Nature: Bold (+Def, -Att)

Type:
Bug/Fire: Bug STAB; More mobility in dense brush or forest conditions. Gain an extra guaranteed attack on multi-hit moves. Fire STAB; immune to burn, emit a low glow in dark places, takes additional damage if active open flames are exposed to a water attack. Superior senses in volcanic or brushfire areas.

I guess if you want to deal damage with Hail, this guy will get you damage with hail. Leech Seed and Toxic let him do some nice stall, and Worry Seed lets Abomasnow take out pesky ability abusers like Eelektross. Blizzard is great; Ice Shard is great; Ice Shard+Blizzard is great if you need priority damage; Blizzard+Sheer Cold makes Dragons cry. If he needs to deal with Fire-types he can use Rain Dance+Blizzard to bring unavoidable Water-type slush [hooray -- accuracy Rain Dance] to quench their flames. Soundproof is nice and makes it immune to Bug Buzz and similar. Grasswhistle for Aurumoth.

Note that in terms of movepool this guy is REALLY behind relative to most of the competitive mons in this thread, his offenses are a weak rank 3 (and his coverage often comes as 8 base power moves) and seeing as his mega isn't available for round 1 (and that Rare Candy only offers a paltry +1 attack/special attack) I would shy away from him for now (unless you desperately need a Gastrodon counter). Mega Abomasnow is much stronger, sporting 100/5/4 defenses and 5/5 offenses--more than enough to compensate for having as many weaknesses as it does. I could actually recommend Mega Abomasnow--even if it doesn't know every move it needs to, it's still going to annihilate what it's meant to annihilate.

Allow me to present one of the top Zoroarks in ASB, Mirage.

Able to go mixed, she has both sides of the attacking spectrum covered. She currently has Special Attacks for Dark, Fighting, Fire, Ghost, Grass, Ice, Normal, and Psychic. On the physical side, she has access to Bug, Dark, Fighting, Flying, Ground, and Normal attacks. There are a few moves in particular that one might be interested in taking a closer look at. The first is Counter: take damage from a physical attack, and, with a defense-lowering nature to exploit it, deal more damage back! Perfect for when you're facing a fighting-typed Pokémon. Just be sure you don't use it against a ghost-type... The second move is Night Daze: this signature move of Zoroark is the most damaging move it has in its posession in normal circumstances, gaining STAB and coming off of her large special attack. Furthermore, there is a chance that it reduces the opponent's accuracy, giving a chance to allow Mirage to 'take' another attack, if you're lucky. The third move is Imprison: use this and Mirage's impressive speed to lock your opponent out of a few key moves, allowing you to attack with impunity. The last key move is Foul Play: if the opponent is so powerful, why not turn their strength against them? This uses the opponent's Attack in place of Mirage's, so you can inflict more damage if you use the attack on something with 7 Attack. It also gains STAB as well.

The key reason to bring Mirage to a match, though, is not because of it's attacks, but because of her ability. Illusion is an ability shared by one other Pokémon (Auramoth), and can be brought to cause mind-games with the opponent for the first one or two rounds. Is this really a Gengar you have out there? Or is this actually a Zoroark? For more powerful mind-games, bring the other Illusionist; there are three possibilities of the being in front of them then!

Last, but not least, is Mirage's nature. While I am usually critical of anything that reduces defense, Mirage has a Hasty nature, increasing speed and decreasing defense. This works in two ways; first, this gives more power to Counter, as I stated before. Just a tad more damage taken, for just a tad more damage returned. This will cause (non-ghosts) to consider twice before attacking with fighting attacks, which will help cause their own demise if they aren't careful. The other benefit is an increase to speed, and, perhaps more importantly, accuracy. There is a small, but significant, number of moves that Mirage has in her movepool that normally have less-than-perfect accuracy, like Night Daze, Snarl, and Bounce. However, with the accuracy boost, the only moves in her movepool that do not have 100% accuracy are Fury Swipes (97% Accuracy) and Focus Blast (87% Accuracy). You don't need to worry about missing with Mirage... at least, not very often.

For items, I suggest a Rare Candy. This increases the power of her special attacks and adds two to her STAB. This causes Night Daze to deal 23 Damage before Special Defense and type resistances are considered. If you go this route, I suggest packing another Pokémon that can use a Rare Candy, mainly because it would give a large warning if that Snorlax in front of you is carrying an item it cannot use.

Sketch (10)

Achisuto the Smeargle is an odd being to potentially bring to a tournement. His stats leave something to be desired, and his movepool is just about 6% complete. There's also the the fact that he effectively only has two abilities, one of which you may not find use for in every battle. But why bring him at all?

There is just enough in his movepool to be effective, or at least leave a dent in the enemy. I first draw your attention to Dragon Rage: this move does a flat 10 damage to its (non-fairy) target, no questions asked. It does not matter if the opponent is a Shuckle with Rank 11 Special Defense; if it is not a fairy, Dragon Rage will cut through resistances and Special Defense and damage it. Want something with a little more bite? Guillotine will be the move for you. This powerful move has 25 Base Power, allowing it to harm through opponents that don't have high defenses. However, this has a cost: even with Achisuto's accuracy boost, alone, Guillotine has 39% accuracy, 49% if you get lucky enough to face an opponent with an evasion penalty. But why mention it at all, then? Guillotine is a move that works best in combinations. There are two primary options for combining with this powerful move: Aerial Ace makes the combo Flying-typed, allowing one to super-effectively hit Bug, Fighting, and Grass types, and Feint Attack makes the combo Normal-typed, granting STAB to the combination. Either way, both options change Guillotine's accuracy to perfect. To boost matters further, Forest's Curse can almost guarentee that what you hit with the Aerial Ace+Guillotine combo will be hit super-effectively. If desperate, combine Guillotine with itself for a 18% accurate, 56.25 BAP combo that will either KO your foe or leave you a sitting duck. If you really need to leave a mark without exposing yourself to cooldown, turn the opponent's attack against it with Foul Play. Finally, Achisuto has a move that is considered a signature move because that move is the only move the original user gets: Transform. With this, and Achisuto's larger movepool, you can set up and then transform into a more powerful form, even with a weaker movepool: that of the enemy.

Ability-wise, Own Tempo grants immunity to a status effect. This is not very impressive, but it will prevent confusion from ever being a factor. The other ability, Technician, is the one that you will see will be more useful: it powers up the Painter's weaker moves to be more on par with the more powerful moves that other Pokémon use. Moody remains locked to prevent the RNG from screwing up Achisuto's stats at a key point in the battle; if you want to tempt fate, unlock it on send-out.

This Smeargle has a Timid nature, lowering attack and increasing speed. With low stats, the only thing the Painter has is its movepool, but the 9% Accuracy boost will help make sure that a few key moves will land their targets.

In regards to items, Everstone might seem like an odd choice. However, it makes the Smeargle's normal-typed attacks slightly more powerful and boosts Special Defense 2 Ranks. The hidden mechanic, however, is in regards to the move Transform: if Achisuto uses Transform, the stone gives a boost to the highest ranked stat of the new form (between Attack, Defense, Special Attack, and Special Defense), AND changes the STAB boost to fit the new form's types. Not too shabby.

Well, most people probably have better things than I do, but I have a few Pokemon that aren't trumped! First of all, my first Pokemon and the first Pokemon to ever challenge the Battle Subway, Shellstrike the Carracosta! It's now maxed, and it has some big selling points! A x4 weakness to Grass might seem like a problem, but with Solid Rock and Sturdy taking 3 BAP off of every SE attack, opponents will be hard-pressed to break through, especially if they try to work on your Rank 5 Defense! And with the Cover Fossil boosting your Attack to Rank 6, you'll be more than capable of dishing out some serious pain in return! Shellstrike was my first Pokemon and is still one of my best Pokemon, and I promise you won't regret using him!

My other offering to the masses is my signature Pokemon and namesake, Flamestrike the Magmortar! While Birkal also has one, mine has more moves and is (to the best of my knowledge) the first one ever used in ASB! Magmortar is all about offense; with 4/6 offenses while carrying the Magmarizer and a solid range of coverage, you'll have the chance to hold your own in any damage race! You also have the option of carrying Expert Belt, as Magmortar will be hitting the enemy for SE damage more often than not! And unlike Birkal's oh-so-Serious Magmortar, mine has a Naive nature; while this means an unfortunate Rank 2 Special Defense, in exchange you get 96 Speed, just enough to outspeed neutral base 95s like Gliscor and Lucario, and up to base 110 with -Speed! Not to mention +11% accuracy, which is helpful for moves like Fire Blast, Heat Wave, Rock Slide, and Focus Blast! And outrunning those aforementioned Pokemon will be a useful trait to have, as Magmortar has a surprisingly large support/disruption movepool; Taunt, Torment, Counter, Bide, and Will-O-Wisp among others will give you the edge in a lot of fights! I didn't give this guy my username as a nickname for nothing; he's a serious threat in any battle and won't let you down!

Finally, there's Skystrike the Braviary. It's one of a few that are maxed in ASB, and it does one thing and one thing only: Hits things really, really hard. Sky Attack from Rank 6 Attack with Sheer Force and a Life Orb will put solid dents into anything that doesn't resist it, and it'll tear apart anything that's weak to it. Probably won't be a popular choice, but if you use it in the right situation it do some serious work!

Aside from those two, most of my Pokemon are either under-trained or outclassed. Other notable options include Gallade, Charizard, Heracross, Cyclohm, and Tyranitar, but all of those are either still missing important moves or flat-out outclassed (as good as my Gallade probably is you're probably better off with one of the maxed ones, for example). Still, my profile's in my sig if you want to see my full list! Best of luck to everyone!

So Sableye, Cyclohm, Colossoil and a few others are being used heaps for the first round. Ever wanted something that can go toe to toe with those three and come out on top? Then look no further.

I am using this post to sell Aromatisse as an anti-metagame threat (It only made like four appearances in a roster iirc) that you might want to use next round of the Tournament. Aromatisse is one of these Pokémon who can take on the rather omnipresent Sableye, Colossoil and Cyclohm one on one and win. Sableye in particular since it is pretty much one of the most reliable Sableye answers you can get. This is because not only can it smack Sableye with Super Effective STAB that easily out-damages Sableye's strongest move against it, but it is immune to Taunt, Torment and friends, preventing it from crippling it massively outside of Imprison (Sableye cannot even Skill Swap past it). Even Stall Meta Burst gambits can be easily dealt with by stealing its abilities through the use of Skill Swap (You can even deal with Protean mons with this!!!). If Dig proves to be an issue, you can use Trick Room and not only get the speed initiative, but gain a bonus 10% Accuracy boost to all of your attacks thanks to its Quiet nature (Relevant for Thunder and Charge Beam). Speaking of, Quiet also allows you to use its niche Physical movepool to do cool stuff like smack around Stratagem massively with Gyro Ball (which easily out-damages Flash Cannon) or a last ditch Flail + Flail for massive neutral damage. Not to mention, a good Special Attack boost and the ability to out-slow -Speed base 30's which get outsped under Trick Room.

For the reasons outlined above, Aromatisse can reliably beat Sableye one on one and most of the arguments supplied above (Gardevoir, one of the alternatives, is only a shaky check to Sableye) can be applied to beating Colossoil and Cyclohm. For an optimal item, like I have mentioned in my main advertisement post, Big Root and Sachet do well for it. Big Root essentially means you have reliable recovery especially against Sableye, Colossoil and Cyclohm through Draining Kiss. Sachet further augments its Special Attacks and Special bulk as well as giving it an enhanced Healer ability that can wipe status from it. Why would you use this over other Aromatisse though? Firstly, it has a full movepool so there are no missing moves. Secondly it has the best nature for it: Quiet for reasons stated above. Thirdly, it has Hidden Power Ground which allows it to smack Poison-types and Steel-types super effectively. Fourthly, it is a Male which allows it to troll other Fairies (who are predominately Female) with Attract. Finally it has a normal bandwidth-saving 96×96 sprite and no stupid nickname to remember.

So yeah if you are looking for options for the next round of the Tournament, specifically to take care of the omnipresent Sableye, Colossoil and Cyclohm (and Greninja to a lesser extent), then look no further than Aromatisse. The results will surprise you!

unless of course no one uses those aforementioned threats which may or may not happen but still... also it is better than gardevoir when it comes to handling those aforementioned threats i can guarantee you

Hey I have twice as many pokemon that I can show off now (unrelated to megas)!

Torrent:
When this Pokemon's HP is lower than 33%, the Base Attack Power of any water attack is increased by two (2). (eg Water Pulse goes from 6 to 8, Hydro Pump from 12 to 14)
Protean:
By default, this Pokemon switches their type before striking with each damaging attack to match the attack they are about to use, and keep that type until another damaging move is used. The energy cost for the attack is calculated based on their type before using the move. When toggled, the Pokemon reverts back to their natural typing. Pokemon that also have Color Change ability may select whether to keep their current type or the damaging attack's type each action.

This Pokemon's external temperature is kept at such a high level that any contact attack used on this Pokemon has a 30% chance of burning the opponent.

Abilities:

When entering into battle, this Pokemon can copy an ability on one of its opponents for 6 EN. This effect only triggers if the ability to be copied is specified when the Pokemon is sent out. The ability remains on the Pokemon for six (6) actions. Wonder Guard cannot be Traced.

Command: Activate Trace (target ability) - 5 En - Replace Trace with the target Ability for six (6) actions. When the copied ability fades, the user regains Trace.

Download:
At the beginning of the match, the Pokemon analyzes the opponent and downloads data that lets it deal more damage. This Pokemon receives a one (1) stage boost on the offense that strikes an opponent's weaker defense stat. (e.g. does more damage with special attacks when facing Aggron, which has higher Defense, and attack when facing Hypno, which has higher Special Defense. For ties, Special Attack is raised.) This boost is maintained at the end of each round.

If this Pokemon attacks after its target during an action, its attacks have two (2) more Base Attack Power.

Gallade is Gallade, everyone knows what he does.

Size Class: 2
Weight Class: 3

Types:
Rock:
Rock STAB; Adds an additional level of Priority (+0 to +1, +3 to +4 etc.) on naturally occurring level-up, egg, tutor, or TM attacks that increase only defense, special defense, or prevent damage (Full list: Acid Armor, Amnesia, Barrier, Defense Curl, Detect, Quick Guard, Harden, Iron Defense, Light Screen, Protect, Reflect, Skull Bash, Stockpile, Wide Guard, Withdraw). Reduced damage from all special attacks by two (2) Base Attack Power during Sandstorm, immune to Sandstorm damage. Ignores Arena restrictions on Rock attacks requiring an external rock source.

Abilities:
Levitate:
This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit.
Technician:
This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their one-hit or two-hit attacks that normally have 6 or less Base Attack Power to have their Base Attack Power on each hit multiplied by 1.5. (e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, Double Hit to from 4 per hit to 6 per hit etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) Base Attack Power, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2). Because Technician is a multiplier on single hit moves, its effect is applied to Base Attack Power before any additive effects. Technician only applies to combos in the rare case that an initial hit will have 6 or less BAP.
Mold Breaker (Locked):
Whenever this Pokemon attacks, it emits an invisible, blindingly quick pulse preceding the attack that disables the opponents natural abilities. (e.g. Levitators plummet towards the ground before Earthquake hits, etc.) Attacks are still redirected by Lightningrod/Storm Drain, but damage is dealt normally. Status-immunity abilities will remove their relevant status at the start of the victim's next action.

Raid: Dispel

Chansey has that ridiculous 145/1/4 bulk, and with Lucky Punch basically has 4/5/43 offenses. All this is backed by a Gen I movepool. Has mostly neutral matchups, although physical attackers can give her trouble sometimes, especially if they have strong physical attacks. Unfortunately, she's not maxed, but 79 moves is probably sufficient, and she's the best-trained of her species afaik.

Avalugg M Iceberg
Stats: 100/4/8/2/3+/24- -10% evasion 4/9 21

Abilities:
Own Tempo:
This Pokemon moves at its own pace and when confused, it will never harm itself in confusion. If the Pokemon also has Tangled Feet, it will raise Accuracy by one (1) Stage.
Ice Body:
This Pokemon thrives in Icy conditions and can absorb energy from Hailstones to recover two (2) HP/action in Hail.
Sturdy:
This Pokemon's body is solidly constructed, reducing the Base Attack Power from an opponents incoming attacks by one (1). The effect is amplified on OHKO Moves, which are reduced by ten (10) Base Attack Power.

Total: 47 - MOVEPOOL COMPLETE

Its movepool may not be the best (or even good), but this thing hits like a freight train (if used right). King's Shield can let you make use of Shield Forme's bulk and Blade Forme's offenses, though you're probably going to be mostly attacking.

I also have a bunch of strongmons (now sorted in a post in my profile!), but other people have those mons maxed (I'm pretty sure, too lazy to check every profile).

My first advertising post is here, showcasing Shellstrike the Carracosta (now maxed!), Flamestrike the Magmortar and Skystrike the Braviary. I have one more to show off, since Megas are allowed and there doesn't seem to be any better trained version of it. Here she is, Beetlestrike the Heracross!

Heracross is a monster, no two ways around it. Once she Mega Evolves, Rank 8 Attack combined with a lethal set of Skill Link moves means that very few things can stand in front of it, and 100/4/4 bulk is nothing to scoff at either! And with +Speed she has the extra accuracy she needs to make sure his attacks are nice and reliable. A x4 weakness to Flying hurts some, as well as some other common weaknesses, but there are very few Pokemon better than Heracross at making sure things go from full health to fainted in no time flat.

Link to advert post. No megas to show here I guess

If you are considering Porygon2, use mine over Avnomke's since Quiet is a superior nature for it (Trick Room, Analytic, and a usable Attack stat) and Hidden Power Ground will generally be far more useful than Hidden Power Fighting. Also Avnomke's is not actually maxxed since it is missing one critical move that is listed here. You can also find the C/P in my first advert post but I will post it here as well.

Again my Aromatisse is the better Aromatisse if you are looking for one for the reasons stated in my above posts.

EDIT: Do not consider my Heracross though, Flamestrike's is better.

Megas?

With ten more moves than Flamestrike's, my Heracross is ready for the tournament. An absolute monster with 15 BAP STABs and a diverse movepool, you'll be scoring ORKOs in a pinch. Aikido (Lucario) runs 89 moves with a unique nature that sets it apart; a speed boosted nature for High Jump Kick and other accuracy dependent moves can be spammed liberally, while 4 SpA is certainly usable alongside its 6 Atk. Finally, Blaziken hits 200+ Speed after one round thanks to Speed Boost. An impressive Pokemon with capable offenses and solid defenses.

Height the Venusaur comes with everything you'd want from a Mega: bulk, versatile attacking stats, and a huge movepool. Add on its lack of weaknesses and incredible tanking ability and you've got yourself one heck of a staller. Azalea the Banette rocks the world with 72 moves that can be easily abused with Prankster. Add in Frisk and its 7/4 offenses and you have a powerful trickster that put Sableye to shame. Finally, Fabio the Ampharos has enough versatility with 4/7 offenses and 100/4/4 defenses to keep itself alive. Quite an "anti-meta" Pokemon that can take your opponent by surprise.

Use my Lucario, not Birkal's. Mine has a maxed movepool (13 more moves). Don't forget that it has superior 6/5/129 offenses (compared to Birkal's Lucario and its 6/4/129 offenses), with a +speed nature for low-accuracy moves.

Get your Mega Pokemon from everyone else. However, you're gonna need some plain old Pokemon too!

http://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/profile-elevator-music.3491945/

The Pokemon listed in light blue at the top are max. But really, everything I have is pretty well trained (except for Registeel whoops). I'm gonna break down some of my favorites below (HINT THEY ARE ALL MAX):

Togekiss: I mean, come on. Good typing, good stats, good abilities, 120 moves to fuck your opponent over with. If you haven't seen Togekiss wreck someone, you haven't been paying attention.

Revenankh: My Revenankh is the best. It's got Adamant, i.e. the best nature for Revenankh and not some dumb one like Quiet or Relaxed. Revenankh has a excellent typing and a pretty great movepool (notably broken-ass Pain Split???).

Carracosta: Fuck taking this thing down.

Dragonite: OK, so a couple of other people have max Dragonite? Mine is Relaxed, because its a chill-ass-mothafucka. Dragonite is excellent in 2v2; Multiscale can really take the edge of having to order first.

Conkeldurr: Likewise, a couple people have good Conkeldurr. Mine is Careful, I haven't regretted it.

Cyclohm: 100% less stupid nickname than all the other max Cyclohm in ASB.

Bronzong: Pick this if you're scared of Gardevoir.

Sableye: Best in ASB (zarator's lacks Power-Up Punch making mine superior??). It's also female if you're into that.

Mr. Mime: Mr. Mime is insane. Don't let that 90 HP fool you, it doesn't ever faint. If you don't use this I hope you get destroyed by it.

Azumarill: Super cute but also super strong.

---

As for Mega Pokemon, I have a max Aerodactyl and the strongest Mawile in ASB??

The only Maxed Brave Dusknoir. Screw Quiet, Brave is the way to go. Dusknoir can abuse Focus Punch and the related combos like no one and those defenses are as sexy as sexy can be. Quiet Shadow Ball is only 0.5 stronger than Brave Shadow Punch and can't be comboed that easily, and the other special moves can be replaced with the elemental punches and Earthquake. Also, you want to boost your priorities too.

Plus, you hit gardevoir harder that way ;).

Dusknoir is a reliable mon with a great offensive, defensive and supportive movepool. And it has pain split.

Snorlax has no problems dealing with 4 of the top 5 pokemon (Dragonite, Pyroak, Cyclohm, Kecleon), thanks to a great movepool, a huge HP, and a very strong Heavy Slam to hit Kecleon with. Don't forget Ion Deluge and stay away from low kick and you will be aces, I promise you.

This baby was key in giving me 4 Gym Badges and is helping me out a fuckton against the Normal Gym. Very few pokemon can hope to defeat this behemoth 1-on-1 and hey, only 2 pokemon will be sent out, so it may pay off to have it in your bench. Just in case ;)

Have problems with Colossoil? Then fear no more! Tangrowth destroys it through and through faster than you can say "noodles". With a great defense (heck: great stats overall) and that lovely regenerator, Tangrowth can give most physical attackers (not names pyroak) a run for their money!

This thing does not die! Screw Quiet, as Power Whip out damages any special move you may possibly dream off and those 5/5 defenses are too good to pass. Even pokemon that hit it SE will struggle to outdamage this beauty.

Wide Guard may seem odd, but it is great to avoid Lava Plume and Heat Wave without triggering the P/E sub! this gotta be useful at some point.

aka the latest cap. Don't deny your feelings, you want to use it. While its movepool is...lacking, fire/water has great coverage by itself and thanks to its great speed and SpA it can deal good damage to most opponents, or cripple it with moves like Torment, Destiny Bond and Memento.

There are other goodies on my profile, so don't forget to check it out!

So Klefki's one cool dude. With Prankster and an awesome typing, he might just be the wild card your team needs to break through to Round 3 of the SICK tournament.

His moves for abusing Prankster include Torment, Imprison, Heal Block and a bunch of generic stuff (Reflect, Light Screen, Safeguard, Swagger and Thunder Wave plus the universal Toxic/Double Team/Substitute). He also has Foul Play to go along with Swagger and Recycle, which might be cool.

He lacks Taunt and non-Rest recovery, but he does have the awesome Draining Kiss. This should, among other things, allow him to beat the two mons who do have Priority Taunt (AFAIK) with a Super Effective, Super Healing Attack. You can even go Draining Kiss~Dazzling Gleam~Draining Kiss and avoid subbing for Double Team.

Everstone is the obvious item choice, but Big Root or Light Clay might be worth it. If you're using Klefki, you should probably be using at least one screen and/or Draining Kiss. Priority Switcheroo and the ubiquity of Everstone users also opens up the door to Status Orbs and maybe Lagging Tail.

So that's my pitch. This guy would make a great addition to many teams. He's not maxxed, but he's pretty frickin' cool, plus I could totally use the extra cash...

Also, it might be a good idea to pull him from my profile (see my signature) as I might add some moves as battles wrap up.
