There are several columns around, but the ceiling has collapsed for the most part, making you able to see the beautiful firmament above your heads. A cool breeze blow in the area, since it's almost midnight, and you struggle to see beyond a few meters due to the really low light produced by the stars (yes, it's a new moon night today). Will you be able to prevail without the might of the legendary dragons?

A few comments here:

- Using priority attacks to dodge anything has long been ruled out in ASB.
- I have and always will activate substitutions if the move subbed against is used as part of a combination.
- SS you will get 2 subs against all of zarator's Pokemon when you order first. You also need move totals on all of your Pokemon besides Gallade.
- Making me calc Earthquake in triples is mean.

Ok folks, allow me to take some deep breaths before we get this one started...

Mask kicks us right off with extreme priority in the form of a Fake Out at Trident the Herracross. The poor bug was flinched by the hit and wont even be able to do anything this round. Hopefully that doesn't put a dent in any future plans [/foreshadowing]. Meanwhile Goku sets about making some clones of himself to take the incoming hits as Myrkul lines up a simple Shadow Punch at the one opponenet these Ghosts can hit super effectively with their main STAB. Poor Mentalist knows he may not last long here thanks to that fact so he goes about making the most of his presense while possible. By enshrouding his blades in both the powers of light and darkness he is able to unleash a mighty combination at Cyric that I am henceforth christening Psychic Blades of Darkness! Unfortunately Cyric has a dirty Gen 1 movepool and simply Counters the damage back at 150% of the incoming strength. I repeat, poor Mentalist.

Goku seems to be all about avoiding damage rather than dealing any of his own, but unfortunately even his Extremespeed wont be helping him in that sense. Cryic meanwhile continues to have his sights set on Mentalist, this time Taunting him so no funny business will be about later on. Mask does more than just poke fun at the Gallade, as his Shadow Claw does some mighty damage instead. Trident has something special in store for everyone (especially this poor referee) and unleashes an Earthquake that rocks the whole chamber to its core! Unfortunately Cyric is still floating around in the air and immune to what could otherwise be a very damaging attack. Mask and Myrkul both do take damage however, and a decent amount at that. The real problem with such a dicey tactic is the hurt it lays on ones own team mates though. The shaking knocks Mentalist to within an inch of its consciousness and at the very same time it wipes out all Goku's clones while hitting the mon himself for super effective damage! Just a plain dumb move from the Bug if you ask me. Its a good thing that combo of Mentalist's was a good one, because he is left resting from it here in what will likely be his last action in this match. Myrkul rounds us out for this mess of a round by firing a Drain Punch at the now cloneless Goku that doubles up by healing all the damage the mummy took from Trident's Earthquake. Good work Myrkul.

Knowing that much of his team holds a speed advantage Cyric decides to let Mentalist have one more breath and instead just throws Trident around with a Psychic assault. Looks like that hit him so hard he will have a harder time protecting against further assaults. Mask is less compassionate towards the Mentalist, and knocks him out with an Ironey Head. Goku continues his strange choices of tactics as he shines a red light from his eyes right onto Cyric, making him now vulnerable to the dreaded Fighting STAB, which Cyric is resistant to. Yeah I don't get it either. At least Trident has the right idea as he Slashes at Cyric with the very essense of Night. The hit was so spot on target that it landed critically and the Gengar did not like how it felt. Mrykul is happy just punching away at Goku. This one had the same power as before but none of the healing properties. It was a whole lot cheaper energy wise though.

Cyric liked his first move so much that he did it again, and this time returning the critical hit favour on Trident. Ouch. Mask follows the lead of Myrkul and throws a punch at Goku that would Break Bricks. The shiny little Lucario meanwhile gets in nice and Close to Cyric and hits him with a barrage of Combat strikes. Unfortunately it is a dumb move as Cyric resists the fighting type even when not immune to it. Have a couple of stat drops for your trouble Goku! Trident attempts to follow up with the same kind of move, but he is filled with even more fail as unfortunately ASB Foresight only make the user able to hit Ghosts. D'oh. Myrkul just punches Goku again. I would normally make a comment here on all those hits possibly causing Lucario to lose some IQ points, but given his actions throughout this match I doubt he had any to begin with.

We're almost at the end here folks, and at least Myrkul looks like he wants to be quick about it. The mummy ignores the fact that he should be the slowest in the battle by Sneaking into the Shadows and emerging to knock Goku right out! Putting him out of his misery was probably for the best. Seeing their extreme numbers advantage the others ghosts gang up on Trident. Cyric once again pounds him with Psychic attacks and once again drops the bug's defences against such moves. Mask just whacks away with a Shadowy Claw of his own and it looks like this one is all but over. Trident uses a Claw of his own to try and get a measure of revenge on Cyric but even that isn't enough to score poor shinyskarmory a KO.

We only need the very begining of the second action to get this one over with as Cyric completes the even spread of knock outs and a compelling victory for zarator!
