Silly Things You've Seen In Other Metagames

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-372888597 I do not like Undertale. Nonmega Gengar, Goodra, and Dusknoir are not good in BH.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-372890633 Download Deoxys-Defense with Iron Defense/Drain Punch/Meteor Mash/Calm Mind forfeits after a Heart Swap.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-372892692 AIPOM

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-372893660 Air Slash Mega Rayquaza. Just use Oblivion Wing if not trying for serene grace.

The Pokemon don't even fit the characters either. Also never thought I'd see a KOff 6-0 sweep.

Aron used Endeavor!
It doesn't affect the opposing Banette...
Among other things

FEAR Diglett, and they forfeit when it goes down. Also, Growl+Topsy-Turvy is a god-tier combo, please nerf. (also yes I am unironically using a female avatar)

Dug through some old replays I'd saved and stumbled across this gem of a doubles battle.
It's terrible. I recommend Brain Bleach.
Someone else list the stuff for this, because I sure can't.

GAAAH. MY EYES.
Proof that people on the Pandora Server are just that stupid.
There are even more replays of about the same quality(about 20) featuring this "Algerion" guy and his friends. Just search "Hackmons" in replays.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/pandora-hackmons-3785591
More proof that Pandora players are dumb.
These are just the highlights, the whole thing is bad.
>Left, not understanding this is Hackmons, and bringing a bad OU team.
>Right's mewtwo, only knowing Psychic moves, and trying to use Dream Eater twice on something that was awake.
>Attempts at using Toxic on Lucario.
>Aura Sphere/Detect/Me First/Drain Punch Lucario, beating the Altaria attempting to toxic it.
>Said Lucario sweeping most of the opposing team.
>The Classic Hackmons Magikarp. With Hydro Pump, and destiny bond.

The classic, good old, Anything Goes nonsense.

This is one of "those" Doubles Teams.

Ah, a good ole Metronome battle.

Left:

- Physical Refrigerate Aurorus with AVALANCHE
- Discharge Galvantula because paralysing your teammates is very convenient
- Vileplume.
- Vileplume with Poison Powder and Miracle Seed
- Non-Mega Pinsir with Hyper Beam and Quick Claw.. this would even suck with Aerilate
- Shell Bell Empoleon

Right:

- Switcheroo Klefki and Switcheroo Klutz (?) Non-Mega Lopunny. What a prankster!
- Klefki trying to paralyse Galvantula
- Dragonite killing his Teammate, Klefki, with Earthquake
- Lopunny has Fake Out which he didn't use for whatever reason on Turn 1 (also, doing that on Galvantula would've been better since Aurorus moves last anyways..)
- Sticky Barb Noivern and guess what, Switcheroo

This should be all next to the Type Chart issues :P

The classic, good old, Anything Goes nonsense.
  • (R) Jolteon paralyzing Ferrothorn, which is already naturally slow. It then used Thunderbolt (which tickles Ferro) before fleeing with Volt Switch.
  • (R) Ferrothorn blocked your Flamethrower with Protect? Better try it again, hoping the left trainer will leave Ferro roasted. It triggered Flash Fire from Chandelure instead.
  • (L) Chandelure using Flamethrower on Dragonite. Starmie was lucky to not come into Shadow Ball.
  • (L) Water Absorb Quagsire, throwing away its only notable niche (Unaware). At least it forced Starmie out.
  • (R) Giga Drain Torterra is borderline unviable, because of its low SpA and access to Leech Seed.
  • (L) Chandelure using Shadow Ball on Mega Pidgeot, which was apparently a misclick.
  • (R) Hurricane wasn't enough for Mega Pidgeot. It also had Air Slash and (later) Brave Bird.
  • (L) Mega Ampharos with Thunder, but without rain support.
  • (L) Amnesia Lickilicky, betting on a special Lucario. Alas, it was physical.
  • (L&R) Jolteon attempting to paralyze Mega Ampharos (slow and Electric-type). For some reason, Amphy had Facade while Jolteon had Return, which did nothing thanks to Cotton Guard.
  • (R) Mega Pidgeot replaced Jolteon vs Ampharos instead of Torterra. It only got away thanks to Hurricane's confusion.

Non-Mega Lopunny is actually kind of justified in this context because the replay predates ORAS by a good nine months or so

At least, it would be justified if it was something good that didn't get a Mega until ORAS like Prankster Sableye or one of the Latis (because the Megas weren't officially available until ORAS).

I know low ladder is full of stupidity, but right's team is honestly a new low, even for this thread. Symptoms of watching this replay include extreme anger, nausea, disgust, increased urge to bang your head against the nearest wall, and repeatedly shouting "WHAT THE FUCK?" Also, right actually won a few games, presumably because his opponents were laughing so hard they timered out.

It could have been worse.

It could have been Speed Boost Electrode, for instance.

Honestly, I expected that Electrode to be Speed Boost after your brief description of the replay here. But nope, it's just bad standard sets all the way down. Not really worth commenting on imo.

Alright, for those of you too lazy to go look up Alegrin and friend's terribad replays, I've compiled them into a single list of bad:

Forfeiting when their Bulk Up Sash Sturdinja goes down

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-373868524

Swords Dance/Extreme Speed/plateless Judgement/Metronome Mega Ray, FEARtran, and PHYSICAL CONTRARY MEGA GENGAR. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Shedinja squad and (presumably judging by its ability) stock Xerneas versus Mega Gengar. Guess who wins. If you guessed Xerneas and company you were wrong.

Left:
— Diancite Weavile (okay, sure I guess) using Shadow Claw (nope). I mean, it hit Altarianite Arcanine for neutral damage I guess, but wouldn't Poison Jab be a better move to pack for those Fairy-types that you can't deal with using Icicle Crash? The first mistake was staying in on an Arcanine in the first place, of course. At worst you'd hit a Mewtwonite X Arcanine for neutral damage using Poison Jab (and it resists both your STABs anyway) for more damage than Shadow Claw, and at best you'd catch an Altarianite one for SE damage.
— Sending Aggronite Ferrothorn out against Altarianite Arcanine. You're still Grass/Steel you know.
— Red Orb Victini is a top-tier threat in Mix and Mega. Red Orb Victini with Flame Burst, however, is not.
— Hitting a Water-type with Flame Burst. No, that doesn't work even in Desolate Land.

Right:
— Absolite Manaphy staying in on a Red Orb user.
Fun fact: I was left in this replay. Yeah, I was extremely shit at competitive in general then, especially OMs. Like, I'm surprised some of my replays weren't on previous pages bad (like for example I had a Sand Stream Gigalith in BH).

Also, bonus BH stupidity dump. Feel free to tear into any of these.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-374383650
Phantom Force Banette (Shadow Force and other better Ghost STAB exist) and Quiver Dance Magic Bounce Amoonguss should tell you all you need to know about this one. And there's no justifiable reason for +0 Amoonguss to outspeed Mega Banette. Also, HARIYAMA.

★TheLavaface: wait
★TheLavaface: 3 megas

★TheLavaface: wtf
Also Jolteon, and herbless Geomancy.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-374297239
A repeat offender and a new guy, and the new guy has a Probopass. Apparently, Probopass was a setter, and the repeat offender's Shedinja's only attack is Endeavor, and it only served as the setupper for Mega Rayquaza, who falls to Topsy-Turvy followed by Psychic from a Mega Alakazam
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-374279234
Both sides forgot about the Entrainmented Normalize onto another Gengar, but Spooky Plate Judgement let the non-Mega triumph over the Mega. Right also has a strange aversion to Megas, both regular Latios and Gengar are outclassed by their own Megas here. Right unironically calls left a hacker for BPassing to Mega Rayquaza, and when left finally gets maxed out everything through Acupressure, Imposter Chansey switch-in results in him getting hoisted by his own petard to the most insane degree.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-374254095
Two sides, three shitmons by BH standards. Also MMY doing its best Dream Eater Darkrai impression. Slaking also has Shadow Force for whatever reason. Right's Ferrothorn also has NIGHTMARE.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-374246624
On one side, mono-Hypno. On the other, five potential Megas and another Hypno. Lucario also has Transform, for whatever reason.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-374242487
One side looked decent, until I realized they had Greninja. Right also has one giant blob of questionable things for a team, like Punishment Weavile and Dark Aura Bisharp. Shame we never saw Greninja's set because Mega Khan sweep.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-374239072
Left from previous replay is back, and this match's left brought Ferrothorn (please, stop using Ferrothorn already). Actually, the "new guy" was Dream Eater Darkrai wannabe MMY guy. Since it's another Mega Khan sweep, we may never know Greninja's set.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-374213265
Azumarill. It can't even use Huge Power because it's banned.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-374178240
Magikarp. Stop the shitty joke already.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-374111900
Tentacruel, with Volt Absorb (wat). Later, it tries Rapid Spinning against a Chansey that Impostered into a (Shadow Ball) Mega Gengar.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-374110910
Cloyster, Foongus, and Amoongus. Also Simple Curse Trick Room Mega Steelix manages to 6-0. Also physical Mega Sceptile.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-374089543
Klefki. Zygarde OHKOs it with Land's Wrath immediately after it switches in. Said Zygarde also has Magic Bounce and Dragon Breath. Left forfeits after special Mega Gyarados goes down.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-373951456
Two Totodiles, five FEARmons, and non-Mega Gengar.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-373760534
Right has shitmons+combo breaker Dragonite (which is also really bad in BH but it's usable outside of it).
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-373719727
Right's entire team.

Dear God, most of these are even worse than I thought they were before I watched them. Also, I'm going to have to retire I HATI THE SECOND next week because it's on my school laptop, and we're returning them on Monday.

Didn't even get the number of Megas right, either. There were 4, not 3.

also I didn't watch the whole replay but that Mega Absol set at the beginning was really weird
