Silly Things You've Seen In Other Metagames

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-462694546
Three mons are on Left. They all have incredibly dumb sets. Right just has a mediocre standard team.
First, there's Normalize Power Herb Shadow Force Mega Gengar... with Dark Pulse, too.
The Rayquaza has Dragon Dance and TWO SPECIAL MOVES on the same set, including Draco Meteor.
The Chansey... has Psychic. And is Harvest Sitrus Berry.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-462712465
Two things: 1.) Why would you ever willingly use a Kricketot? 2.) Why would you lead off with said Kricketot? That's not even counting the 5 other mons, but still....

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-462714563
This is just a team preview, but there's enough wrong with this regardless.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-462968791
[L] Keeping in Virizion against Hawlucha.
[L] Using SYNTHESIS on the first turn.
[R] Fly Hawlucha... without a Power Herb.
[L] Sure... now you switch in your Zekrom...
[R] Against an Aerial Ace. Not bad on its own, but you also have Fly...
[L/R] Scarf Giratina, or just a really slow Hawlucha.
[L] Switches in Virizion against Mewtwo....
[R]....Which works because the Mewtwo knows both Future Sight and Hidden Power. (Bug?) That's one of the dumber Mewtwo sets I've seen.
[L] Uses Superpower on Mewtwo. This is especially dumb because Mewtwo is famous for being a Psychic type. You have no excuse for this.

My starting team for Gift of the Gods: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-463185121
I'm going to go create a real team now.
Just shift around the members... Your team's okay, but the positioning is terrible. I went through a suspect with Chandelure in the speed slot of a Mewtwo team, and it was amazing.
But you know what? I think that was the joke. Have these two battles instead as... an apology, I guess?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-463397629
Yes, that's a physical Jolteon. Also, silly plays all around, even with correct placement.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-463398391
More no god and low ladder nonsense.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-463559220
Guess the mega, Charizard not using Fire Blast (which this set has) against Skarmory, Hydro Pump and Thunder against Primaldon, and using Dragon Claw when Focus Blast would obviously be more effective. Ultimately all I had to do was hazardshuffle and then click E-Speed repeatedly. Pikachu sweep is best sweep.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-463560845
edgy and mature nicknames. not safe for work if you have a word filter, but it's fine otherwise. Yet another Pikachu sweep, by the way.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-463567350
Doesn't seem like a particularly silly team, but it was still the easiest match of my career. My opponent blacked out in less than a turn!

Right has LC and PU pokemon against a regular AG team with questionable plays. This is actually pretty close.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-463775673
I mean, the plays are okay, but Houndoom-Mega Energy Ball? Also, interesting choice of pokemon with mostly vanilla abilities.

(L) Hone Claws+Ominous Wind+X-Scissor+Toxic Safety Goggles Sturdinja. Toxic sort of makes sense, though, but Magic Coat/Bounce exist.
(L) The rest of his mons, though none of them were sent out.
(R) Wild Charge+Hydro Cannon Mega Swampert.
(R) Spore+Dream Eater Poison Heal Claydol. The latter was used on an awake Shedinja. Also, Claydol in general.
(R) V-Create+Roar of Time+Hurricane+Hydro Pump Mega Charizard X.
(R) Destiny Bond Mega Rayquaza. Oddly, Sheddy is able to stall it, as +6 X-Scissor does 65%. It also had Draco Meteor without Contrary, but with a Dragon Gem.
(R) Electric Gem Intimidate Mega Manectric paralyzes Sheddy with Discharge, which actually helps the ghostly bug.
(R) Double-Edge+Superpower+Flare Blitz Fire Gem Mega Blaziken. The former two moves do nothing to Shedinja anyway, so Sturdy be damned, why bother?
(Both) Sturdinja sweep.

(L) 5 mons.
(R) 5 Ghost mons, including normal Banette, and Darkrai.
(Both) Status moves everywhere for the first few turns, including Hypnosis and Sleep Powder.
(L) Sleep Powder Zygarde. It also used Extreme Speed on what appeared to be a vanilla Aegislash, even on turns when it was obvious King's Shield would not be used.
(L) Seismic Toss Zard-X, used on Aegislash.
(L) Dynamic Punch Mega Sceptile, used on guess who.
(L) Fire Blast MMX, which burns Aegislash. It also had Blizzard.
(Both) Turn 22.

I... what is this replay? Someone take this. This is the epitome of the low ladder.
With pleasure

[R, Team Preview] Uh.............. EVERYTHING IS WRONG HERE. EVERYTHING. I mean, I love Girafarig, BUT EVERYTHING IS WRONG.
[L, Team Preview] Arceus in the HP spot when he has a Ditto, which is in SpDef, and lowered his Latios' SpAtk by 10. Mega Garchomp in Defense only gained 5 Defense when it could've used Speed
[R] Agility Pass Girafarig when Combusken/Blaziken and Scolipede exist. For pete's sake, at least use Nasty Pass Giraf...
[L] Uses Fire Blast on Diancie when YOU ARE A GARCHOMP. In fact, the only move it has used up to this point is FIRE BLAST
[R] Diamond Storm + Ancient Power Diancie, using both on a Garchomp instead of Moonblast or even Dazzling Gleam. Ever
[L] Uses Draco Meteor on a Diancie
[L] Seemingly fully special Garchomp, which is weird considering Mega Garchomp's 170 Attack. S/Os to Surf Chomp tho
[L] When Right sends out Girafarig, Garchomp proceeds to Fire Blast instead of Draco. It promptly misses
[R] Agility Passes into an Exeggutor when the Garchomp is spamming Fire Blast. Cleffa would've destroyed that Chomp, I sarcastically GUARANTEE IT
[L] Chomp's last move is Shadow Claw, instead of Earth Power or Earthquake...
[L] Uses Draco when he is at -4 and Shadow Claw is doing decently.
[Chat] "Turn 23 Zephyr Dragon Lord joined." Zephyr's still in the cut. S U D O W O O D O
[R] Eggy beats the Garchomp
[L] Goes into Regirock to immediately explode, which doesn't even KO, then forfeits.
[L] The realization that he just lost to a team with a Pichu, an Igglybuff, and a Cleffa on it.

He was saying it's five Ghost types and Darkrai. It could have been worded better though.
Yeah, I was in a bit of a hurry when I wrote that post.

(R) Gardevoir / Gothorita / Beheeyem / Musharna / Spritzee / Meowstic-F
(L) Shadow Claw Gengar.
(R) Kelpsy Berry Trick Gothorita. Only thing that's good for is Natural Gift, which Gothorita does not get. Not that it would have helped, mind you.
(R) Seems to have an unhealthy obsession with Synchronize and Rock Slide.
(R) Beheeyem loses HP and gives Gengar some on turn 5 with Pain Split.
(R) Gardevoir trying to kill Gengar with Destiny Bond when a) Gardy is nowhere near dead, b) Gengar is doing 27% to it, and c) Gengar is almost dead. It eventually wises up and kills Gengar with Moonblast (Hyper Voice much?) and does manage to get Aegislash with Destiny Bond.
(L) Earthquake+Ancient Power normal Aggron. Stealth Rock and Thunder Wave get a pass, but the set, not so much.
(L) Actually, Thunder Wave does not get a pass when you use it on Spritzee under Trick Room.
(R) The Spritzee in question has both Moonblast and Dazzling Gleam.
(R) Hypnosis+Dream Eater+Rock Slide+Protect Musharna.
(L) Focus Punch Blissey.
(R) Magical Leaf+Torment+Power-up Punch+Protect Meowstic-F.
(L) Seviper in general, although it does manage to clean up what was left of R's team.

I love how this thread just derailed (rerailed?) right into Girafarig. (That analysis was beautiful.) I'm probably never going to find a match as pristine as that, but I'll be back with another deemed "acceptable" for this thread.

EDIT: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-464050766
I found a pretty good one. Toxic Orb Trick Rotom, Black Belt Electivire, and Weakness Policy Gogoat (which works, somehow), and more...

Im sure my sets and strats aren't perfect but I'm really trying to figure out want the other team was... Wanna do this one?

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-464047742
Starting with the pokemon loadout:
- Keldeo in the Attack slot.
- Cobalion in the Defense slot, cutting it by 29.
- Lando in the Special Attack slot.
- Thundurus in the Special Defense slot is only subpar. I think this guy just likes legends.
- Zygarde in the Speed slot, adding a huge 0 to the base stat

Now for the actual battle:
- Apparently he hasn't seen Klefki with Foul Play before.
- Using Dragon Ascent on a Steel type.
- Keeping Cobalion in when he knows Klefki has Foul Play.
- Having a Sitrus Berry on it.
- Using Swords Dance when he already has +5.
- Survives at 1% only to use Stealth Rock with rocks already set.
- Knock Off Thundurus.
- Psychic/Rock Slide Landorus.
- Aqua Jet Keldeo.
Talonflame and Arceus then finishes the team off. This isn't such a bad team, but the moveset and decisions are horrible.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465203013
This is just plain strange. Misplays, type chart fails, and weird sets abound.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-465207338
Life Orb Jolteon and MMX, along with Speed Boost Skarmory.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465202405
Two Cynthia wannabes, one with no items, and neither has any idea what they are doing. The chat is also silly.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-465205238
Don't bring standard teams into BH. Especially teams that have 5 UU mons and Tyranitar on them.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465211457
CM Arceus-Normal (with only a Gardevoir for backup) and an opponent who just cannot deal with it.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465214398
You know, the timer exists for a reason.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-465211741
Hazards are a thing in BH, you know. So don't run 3 Shedinja (or any Shedinja, for that matter) without doing something about it.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465212935
Lone Haxorus 1, bad genwunner team 0.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465212816
Giga Drain Arceus-Ice on one side, non-mega Rayquaza on the other.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465212577
Level 100 Rattata can't deal with lone Kecleon and Protean.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogontriples-465217575
Sturdinja in Triples defeats a rather subpar team.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465220318
Lone Kecleon returns, and simply outplays his opponent.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-465219005
Shieldon. In the HP slot of a Deoxys-A team, of all things. Ditto also tries Shadow Claw against E-killer, with predictable results.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465217784
Mono Poison, and when Lapras comes in... jordanthejq12 may want to look away.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465216550
Another level 100 Rattata. This one, for some reason, has Blizzard and Final Gambit.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465226401
More lone Kecleon, this time featuring Forretress using Explosion turn 1, but luckily for him, Kecleon did not use Shadow Sneak.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-465218626
I'm not sure why right has Gardevoir in the SpA slot with Lugia. I'm even less sure of what left is trying to accomplish.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465203013
This is just plain strange. Misplays, type chart fails, and weird sets abound.
[L] Why do you need two Scolipede? Like, ever?
[R] I can forgive the Drill Peck Honchkrow (especially because Life Orb).
[L] Smeargle has Recover and gets a chance to use it. Unfortunately it has gotten consecutive SpD drops against a team with five special attackers (and Krow can run Heat Wave if it wants). It probably shouldn't attempt to pass here.
[L] One Scolipede passes to...Regigigas, which can certainly try to Knock Off sweep, but instead appears to be a stall set (Toxic'ing literally anything when +2 Knock Off will chunk anything other than Spiritomb). Also, it gets burned, which is why you always run Sub on it.
[L] Also, Regigigas.
[L] Fighting move against a mono-Ghost. Multiple times. Where. Is. Your. Knock Off.
[R] Lum Hypnosis/Feint Attack Spiritomb, which double-misses just in time for Slow Start to wear off. This thing isn't really built for physical hitting, you know. (It does have Shadow Sneak, though, which is usable.)
[L] Repeated Toxic and Drain Punch uses suggests Regigigas is helpless, which would suggest Return and T-Wave as the other two moves.
[L] Arceus-Ghost switches in on this team. On a Flamethrower, granted, but still. It is promptly burned for its hubris (fortunately, it's special).
[L] One of the Scolipede has Venoshock, which is a niche move at best anyway, but especially off 55 SpA. It also has Attract...and is male. (The OU BP team that uses this gimmick works because it's female, which matters because Latios, Lando-T, and the slight skew of gender randomizatin in the male direction.) It works because Froslass is female.
[R] Water Pulse Froslass. Gotta hit...Pyroar and Houndoom, I guess. With only the two Scolipede left, it's hitting neither of thse. It does score a confusion on multiple occasions, though.
[L] T-Spiking when the last mon remaining is immune to them. No attacks, then, by the looks of it, and Froslass can and willcarry Taunt. This should end well.
[L] Several turns pass. Basically, left wins by Venoshocking Froslass to death while it's helplessly in love. It takes forever for Cursed Body to activate and force a switch. Froslass is knocked out, but in comes the Krow to save the day.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465217784
Mono Poison, and when Lapras comes in... jordanthejq12 may want to look away.
This one ends after 13, but in those turns:
[L] Infestation Tentacruel (it gets that?), switching in on Primal Groudon. That ends well.
[R] Also, I don't see a PDon answer on left. So that's a needless sack.
[R] Avalance POgre, which gets owned by Toxicroak.
[L] Thunder Punch is...a move on Toxicroak. Hey, it does hit Fliers (and Kyogre).
[R] Lapras set of RestTalk/Blizzard/Perish Song. Of course Sleep Talk calls Perish Song at the worst possible time, against a Gengar.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/returnd-465227151
Sometimes you just wonder if people understand the pressure of a Substitute..

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-465232550
Left has some strange positioning, and Right... has better positioning, but it's too bad there's no god. Or good sense.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/giftsofthegods-465240632
Drapion returns... and sweeps a subpar team that plays badly.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465258547
A lone Gardevoir takes on the world. Unfortunately, it includes Sludge Bomb Darkrai.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465258497
A condensed battle full of failure from Left, including Physical Ampharos and Sceptile, plus a guess the mega.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-465261485
Wow... Red Card spam up the wazoo by one side, and incompetence all around. I'm done. Someone take this one.

Gen 1 and non-mega Rayquaza can't handle Sylveon.

Ash-Gallade against the world. Unfortunately, the world has priority Aerilate.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-465587251
Right team can't handle Shedinja, of all things.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/balancedhackmons-465560362
Shedinjas aginast the world. Unfortuantely, the world has Leech Seed.

This is just really, REALLY bad. Someone take this.

...Do you even know how to play this game, let alone the meta?
