Silly Things You've Seen In Other Metagames

EV

Banned deucer.
We've had Doubles replays here before, so I think we're defining Other Metagames as "anything that's not an official tier" for the purposes of this thread. Besides, if we exclude Doubles, Triples, and Inverse, we miss some stuff. Not as much in this BH- and AG-dominated thread, but some.
DOU is an official format.

So noted.

Anyway, here's today's batch, featuring a Triples match and three from Little Cup, for a bit more variety.

Energy Ball/Psychic Gastly? You do get Giga Drain, you know, and good luck with Dark types. Also, Wailmer tries to switch into Poliwag, but it's only at 4% and dies to rocks. And then Happiny switches into Magby. And Assault Vest Wailmer. (They do know there's no Eviolite ban anymore, right?)

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-250521527
A couple of unfortunate whiffs, but more importantly, Rayquaza with Brick Break and Mega Blaziken with Brick Break (Sky Uppercut, to say nothing of HJK and Superpower) that sweeps with Blaze Kick.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/smogontriples-250523095
This is how you do hail. Also, bet you wish you'd taken down that Weavile when you had it down to the Sash, but instead you decided to Fake Out Lapras.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/lc-250525530
Aerial Ace Froakie (at least getting a favorable Protean), Amaura switching in for Fletchling and finding its own defenses inadequate, and no, Torchic, you're not fast enough even at +1 to stop Snivy---which almost sweeps, but apparently didn't have Giga Drain, allowing double priority to overcome it.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/lc-250528266
Counter Squirtle, Onix coming in on it after it's shown Scald, HP Bug Froakie, and yes, Fletchling, you are fast enough to stop Snivy.

I don't think you really need redundant STAB moves on your Swift Swim user. Especially when said user is Luvdisc. There was also a Sunny Day Castform on that team, as well as Dive Relicanth, which it used under sun.

Left:
A mono fire team with non-Drought Vulpix and Heatmor.
Heatmor had Inferno, Fire Spin, and Slash.
Vulpix was Flamethrower+Fire Blast+Will-o-Wisp+Extrasensory.
Leer Simisear. Far from the literal best (sorry, Oglemi).
Confuse Ray+Smog+Flame Burst Chandelure.
Right:
Blizzard+Double-Edge Omastar.
Dazzling Gleam Sylveon.
Brick Break+Ancient Power Tyrunt, being able to do only 14% to Volcarona (albeit a 2 QD Charti Berry Volcarona).
Skitty.
Teddiursa using Brick Break on Volcarona and promptly getting burned by Flame Body.
Lunatone, which was probably the most productive member of righty's team.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-251150966
Same players as above, except lefty has a different team.
Dig+Thrash Power Herb Sandile.
Gible.
Fire Fang Gliscor.
Another Dig Power Herb user, this one being Excadrill. It also had Horn Drill, which actually hit.
Magnitude+Double-Edge (no Rock Head)+Steamroller Golem.
And righty's Sylveon turned out to be Cute Charm.

God of fail. (i.e., a bad mono Arceus team)

I was gonna wait for a while to post another, but this one was just stupid.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/anythinggoes-251482096

Seismic Toss Non-Mega Aggron
Dive Greninja, and using it on Primal Groudon with Intense Sun out
X-Scissor Non-Mega Sceptile
Inferno Non-Mega Charizard
An Alakazam that had to have been non-invested in Special Attack, because 32% damage is a little too small.

0 SpA Alakazam Psychic vs. 252 HP / 200 SpD Primal Groudon: 111-132 (27.4 - 32.6%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

Non-Mega Absol that was slower than non-invested negative natured Groudon.

EDIT: One more. Guy thought he could sweep my team with a Moody Octillery. I turned it against him.

Are we allowed to post without replays to prove stupidity?
Because these are some silly things I've seen in Balanced Hackmons
Simple Blissey with Cotton Guard, Tail Glow and Stored Power.
Contrary Superpower Blissey. It also had Close Combat. And no other damaging moves.
Protect. 1000 times. Spiky Shield exists, guys.
Special Mega Heracross with Shadow Ball. That impressive 40 SpA is shit even in LC.
Hyperspace Fury Mega Absol and Mega Gyarados. Plus, Gyara actually holded its Mega Stone to Mega Evolve, and used Hyperspace Fury 3 TIMES IN A ROW. Maybe he/she though it'll hit.

And tons and tons of stuff like this, but it's late and I can't remember more right now.

Also Shedinja with Protect and no Sash, and the right player waiting until Sheddy was at +6 to bring in Vaporeon (though it was probably a sack, but an unnecessary one; Sheddy's a base 45 and even Vaporeon can take a +0 Shadow Sneak), and Snorlax with redundant STABs and Resting in front of Lopunny, which it certainly cannot take two hits from. And Drain Punch/Low Sweep Lopunny new meta; also note the lack of Normal STAB.

In all honesty the sillest part of these replays is my team. It's just a joke team really, which somehow has won 6 battles. (And lost 10 battles, but that doesn't matter). However, the low ladder of mix and mega is a crazy place. In the replay above all megas are vanilla and there are no custom megas. Don't forget Ancient Power and Aqua Tail Arceus though.

http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/mixandmega-251940706

This team seemed to be... an OU Team? It only had one mega, Beedrill, and he tried to Toxic a Sablenite mon, which never is good. But in all honesty, my Secret Power Salamencite Defensive Plusle and others were probably the silliest of them all. Also, use Dunsparce in Mix and Mega. I trust you it works wonders.
