Simisear

[OVERVIEW]

Simisear is a threatening special attacking sweeper thanks to its high Speed and alright Special Attack. It has decent coverage and a good mix of attacking stats, making it a viable special sweeper and wallbreaker, but Simisear faces competition from other Fire-types, such as Heatmor, and it's outclassed by Ninetales in many aspects, because Simisear is less bulky, but it is viable for the higher damage output it provides and the Fighting-type coverage. Unfortunately, Simisear is easily worn down due of its mediocre bulk and lack of recovery; it also has a bad defensive typing that makes it struggle against entry hazards, especially Stealth Rock. Simisear can be easily revenge killed by faster Pokemon, such as Zebstrika and Floatzel.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Nasty Plot is Simisear's only setup move, and it gives Simisear an immediate +2 Special Attack boost. Fire Blast is very powerful and preferred over Flamethrower for the power. Focus Blast is for coverage to hit any resists, helping against Rock- and Ground-types, such as Probopass and Piloswine respectively, which can be threatening. Grass Knot is another coverage move to hit Water- and Ground-types, such as Carracosta, Poliwrath, and Golem.

Set Details
========

Running maximum Speed and Special Attack investment allows Simisear to be as fast and powerful as possible. A Timid nature is preferred over Modest; although it has less power, but outspeeding base 100 Speed Pokemon, such as Dodrio and Ninetales, is very important. Life Orb boosts Simisear's power, especially with Blaze, and it can allow Simisear to threaten Fire-type resists with its STAB move, but Life Orb makes Simisear less durable because of the recoil, though it's still the best option. Blaze allows Simisear to fire off insanely powerful Fire Blasts before it faints, and behind a Substitute it is very threatening, although not very reliable.

Usage Tips
========

Simisear is difficult to use because it rarely finds any space to set up a Nasty Plot, so it's preferred to set up late-game when its checks and counters are already weakened. Simisear can actually set up early-game and work as a wallbreaker, threatening Pokemon such as Lickilicky in the case you already have another win condition. Be sure to remove all checks and counters, such as Fire-type resists or special walls including Rapidash and Togetic. Simisear should be switched in on a predicted move or with a slow Volt Switch, U-turn, or Baton Pass. Don't forget how frail Simisear is, so make sure to avoid any statuses, and be sure to remove entry hazards before bringing Simisear in. Because it is frail, Simisear should also only set up on switches or weak attacks.

Team Options
========

Entry hazards support from Pokemon such as Roselia and Probopass is greatly appreciated by Simisear to help wear down its checks. Managing entry hazard control when running Simisear in a team is important, as it is weak to entry hazards, especially Stealth Rock, so Rapid Spin and Defog users such as Armaldo and Pelipper make for good partners. Sticky Web is a good option to slow down fast Pokemon such as Zebstrika or Kadabra and revenge killers, especially Choice Scarf users, such as Mr. Mime and Sawsbuck, that try to stop Simisear from sweeping, therefore Leavanny or Kricketune are good teammates. Grass-types, such as Leafeon, Tangela, and Roselia, can handle Water- and Ground-types such as Carracosta for Simisear, letting it run Focus Blast instead of Grass Knot.

[SET]
name: All-Out-Attacker

move 2: Grass Knot
move 3: Rock Slide
move 4: Low Kick
item: Life Orb
ability: Blaze
nature: Hasty
evs: 252 SpA / 4 Atk / 252 Spe

Moves
========

Fire Blast allows Simisear to be threatening, considering even Fire-type resists cannot switch into it too many times. Grass Knot is for coverage, allowing Simisear to threaten Fire-type resists, such as Carracosta and Poliwrath. Rock Slide helps Simisear against Fire-types, which can switch in on Fire Blast and aren't threatened by Grass Knot, such as Ninetales, Rapidash, and Heatmor. Low Kick, outclasses Focus Blast in this case because it can threaten specially defensive walls, mainly Lickilicky, which can stall and threaten the PP of Focus Blast; it also helps against Zweilous. Taunt can be useful to limit the effectiveness of leads, such as Leavanny and Krickteune, that rely on setting up entry hazards or Sticky Web.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed and Special Attack investment is used to outspeed all base 100 Speed Pokemon, such as Dodrio and Ninetales, and to have as much power as possible. The residual 4 EVs are put into Attack. A Hasty nature increases Simisear's Speed without lowering its Attack. Life Orb is the best item option due to the power boost; when combined with Blaze, it allows Simisear to threaten Fire-type resists with Fire Blast However, it also makes Simisear less durable because of its recoil. Blaze allows Simisear to fire off insanely powerful Fire Blasts before it faints, and behind a Substitute it is very threatening, although it's not very reliable.

Usage Tips
========

Mixed Simisear particularly shines mid-game thanks to its ability to punch through the enemy team with its coverage moves, therefore opening holes for other team members. Be sure to not reveal your physical moves early, as there is a chance to lure in special walls such as Lickilicky and common checks such as Zwerilous and Rapidash. Switch Simisear in on a predicted attack, or with a slow Volt Switch, U-turn, or Baton Pass. Don't forget on how frail Simisear is; it can't take priority attacks and doesn't do well when statused. Be sure to remove entry hazards before Simisear comes in.

Team Options
========

Simisear appreciates being on offensively oriented teams in general because they have way more ways to make use of its ability to wallbreak. It also appreciates entry hazard removal because it has a glaring Stealth Rock weakness, so Defog and Rapid Spin users are good teammates. Setup sweepers appreciate the wallbreaking provided by Simisear. Entry hazard support itself, especially Toxic Spikes, is appreciated, because it eases Simisear's job in dealing with troublesome walls.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Knock Off is an option to threaten some special walls that can take Simisear's attacks well, such as Grumpig and Hypno. Hidden Power Electric can be used for hitting Simisear's common checks, such as Pelipper and Swanna. Simisear with Taunt could be a great stall breaker. A SubSalac set, along with Blaze, can make Simisear a very fast and threatening sweeper against unprepared teams, and with this variant, Gluttony can also be used, as it makes Simisear eat the berry as fast as possible and therefore have slightly more HP.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Strong and Fast Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Floatzel, Choice Scarf Mr. Mime, and Zebstrika can outspeed Simisear, have a decent damage output, and can revenge kill it with ease, although they don't appreciate being hit by a STAB Fire Blast. Substitute can prevent this from happening if Simisear manages stay behind it.

**Residual Damage**: Residual damage by Toxic and especially entry hazards can wear down Simisear easily, limiting its setup and sweep opportunities and making it easier to revenge kill.

**Special Walls**: Dedicated special walls such as Grumpig and Lickilicky can eat the majority of Simisear's special coverage even with a +2 Special Attack boost and can cripple it with Thunder Wave or phaze it with Whirlwind, Roar, or Dragon Tail.

**Priority Moves**: Because of its lack of recovery, mediocre bulk, and subpar typing, Simisear is easily KOed by many priority moves, such as Basculin's and Carracosta's Aqua Jet and Mightyena's Sucker Punch, especially if it has taken.

yo some suggestions

Set
The set should be called Nasty Plot or Substitute + Nasty Plot as the wallbreaker is basically the one you mentioned in Other Options.
In my opinion Flamethrower should be slashed with Fire Blast or at least mentioned in moves, as it is really a preferential choice and more worth than Other Options.
Moves
In moves say that Nasty Plot is mandatory as it's the main tool that allows Simisear to sweep the enemy team.
Focus Blast already hits hard Rock-types so remove that mention when you talking about Grass Knot hitting Rock-types too.
Set Details
In set details list what Pokemon Timid nature makes Simisear outspeed and the drawbacks of Life Orb.
In the case you move Flamethrower to moves or set mention it when you talk about Blaze along with Fire Blast.
Usage Tips
Simisear is actually really tricky to use, as it is frail and doesn't get set up opportunities often, so specify that in Usage tips along with the fact that it shines into the Late-game, when, as you already said, it's checks and counters are weakened.
''Switch-in on a predictable move, or on a slower volturn move, such as Volt Switch, U-turn or Baton Pass.'' it's not very clean what do you mean there so reword this to make clear on what Simisear should be brought in and what tools allow Simisage to switch-in safely (ie: slow volturn)
Mention when Simisear should set up a Substitute or Nasty Plot or directly attack and when just switch-out to a more favorable matchup.
Team Options
Add slow volturn users, as they can bring in Simisear on the field with safety, preventing it to take unnecessary damage.
Other Options
remove flamethrower and move it to set or moves

Wallbreaker
########
name: Wallbreaker
move 1: Nasty Plot
move 2: Fire Blast
move 3: Grass Knot
move 4: Focus Blast
ability: Blaze
item: Life Orb
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
nature: Timid

This should be the set, as any sub set is just outclassed by ninetales who has more bulk + reliable coverage. This set takes advantage of simisears niche, being its extra power and fighting covarage

hi the above is good as well as elaborate on stuff (what particular KOs you get with hazards). also c&c really needs to be elaborated upon but i'll go further in-depth when the analysis has the correct set :o

Speaking with other QC we feel this also deserves a set:
All-Out-Attacker
########
name: All-Out-Attacker
move 1: Fire Blast
move 2: Grass Knot
move 3: Rock Slide
move 4: Low Kick
ability: Blaze
item: Life Orb
evs: 252 SpA / 4 Atk / 252 Spe
nature: Hasty

Rock slide hits fire types (mainly ninetales) and low kick hits licki/zweilous (probably more). This sets niche over other fire types is that its faster than heatmor, and unlike ninetales, is strong enough to run one of these sets. Taunt should go in moves here, and hp electric + knock off should go in oo (hits swanna/pelipper and grumpig/hypno respectively)

the current analysis is still not good enough. Talk about what separates simisear from ninetales in the overview instead of saying its outclassed. The current set's descriptions everywhere are outdated and mention the old sub set. Also fsr it's named Wallbreaker but the team options and usage tips speak of it as a late game sweeper. Please fix all the errors

Overview
########
Even if Simisear it's outclassed by Ninetales in many aspects, in overview mention its niches that make it viable and a good option.

Nasty Plot
########
Set Details
########
In set details some Pokemon you listed aren't 100 so please remove them.
Also talk about Life Orb drawbacks.

Usage Tips
========
Mention that Simisear can actually set up early-game to break through walls, in the case you have another win condition, therefore reword the first point.
You have to be more in-depth when you talk about removal of Simsear's checks and counters.
''Switch-in on a predictable move, or on a slower volturn move, such as Volt Switch, U-turn or Baton Pass.'' Pretty sure you mean it has to be brought in and not directly switch in so reword that, also including reasoning.
The last two points can be merged together, as both being sure of removing entry hazards and avoiding statuses are a consequence of Simisear being frail.

Team Options
========
Mention some entry hazards setters when you talk about hazards support along with Sticky Webs setters when you talk about its support to slow down foes.
When you talk about Sticky web also list examples of Choice Scarf users.
List examples of Ground- and Water-types Grass-types can handle for Simisear.

All-Out-Attacker
########
Set Details
========
List some 100 base speed Simipour outspeeds with Hasty nature.
Mention drawbacks of Life Orb there too.

Usage Tips
========
The last point should be listed first as it is one of the most important.
'' Don't forget on how much Simisear is frail, can't take Priority moves, and avoid any kind of status.'' ''Be sure on removing entry hazard before Simisear switch-in. '' Try to vary the sentences to make them different from the first set, then merge them together for the reasons I already stated into the first set.

Other Options
########
Mention SubSalac with Gluttony, as it is decent to sweep unprepared teams.

In the overview mention that it isnt too fast so is easily revenge killed

First set:
You have substitute mentioned in set details although it isnt in the set so remove the mention

In UT talk about what to set up on (usually forced switches), also mention that it can be used earlier in the game as a wallbreaker

For TO i dont think that wallbreakers are required as team mates as very few pokes can take a +2 hit especially if hazards are up

Second set:
Taunt should have a mention in moves, as it allows simisear to screw over leads like whirlipede and leavanny

You also have a substitute mention in set details on this set

OO: when mentioning subsalac, just mention blaze as having a stronger STAB is more important than being at slightly higher health

c&c: add a bit about **Priority** as it weak to things like costas and basculins aqua jet, and dies to mightyenas sucker punch if hazards are up

Do this then QC 2/3 Enki

Taunt isn't that useful vs whirl since it out speeds you at +1 iirc so it gets one layer at worst but mention krickteune I guess

Fix text size in the same paragraph

A SubSalac set , along with Blaze, can make Simisear a very fast and threatening sweeper against unprepared teams, and with this variant, Gluttony can also be used, as it makes Simisear eat the berry as fast as possible, therefore be at a slightly higher health.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Strong Fast Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Floatzel, Choice Scarf Mr. Mime, and Zebstrika, can outspeed Simisear and have a decent damage output, can revenge kill with ease, although they don't appreciate being hit by a STAB Fire Blast. Substitute can prevent this from happening if Simisear manages stay behind it.

**Residual Damage**: Residual damage by Toxic and especially entry hazards, can wear down Simisear easily, limiting its setup and sweep opportunities, and making it easier to revenge kill, as it has a bad typing, which makes it weak to Stealth Rock, lacks a reliable recovery, and often relies on Substitute or Life Orb to sweep.

**Special Walls**: Dedicated special walls such as Grumpig and Lickilicky can eat the majority of Simisear's special coverage even with a +2 Special Attack boost, and can cripple it with Thunder Wave or phaze it out with Whirlwind, Roar, or Dragon Tail.

**Priority**: Because of its lack of recovery, mediocre bulk, and subpar typing, Simisear is susceptible to most priorities, possibly with prior damage to ensure the KO. Examples of priorities that can handle Simisear are Aqua Jet by Carracosta and Basculin, and Sucker Punch by Mightyena, which KOes if entry hazards are up.

Good job Enki with this! It looks good with the content. There were quite a few confusing sentences or statements that didn't make sense. I included a copy & paste version so it's faster for you to implement the check, but please read through the check and look at the changes, because it was confusing and I changed it to what I thought you meant.

It has decent coverage and a good mix of attacking stats making it a viable special sweeper and wallbreaker, but Simisear sees competition from other Fire-types, such as Heatmor, and it's outclassed by Ninetales in many aspects, because Simisear is slower and less bulky, but it is viable for the higher damage output and the Fighting-type coverage.
Minor nitpick but Simisear is actually faster than Ninetales.

[OVERVIEW]

Simisear is as a threatening special attacking sweeper thanks to its high Speed and alright Special Attack. It has decent coverage and a good mix of attacking stats, [ac] making it a viable special sweeper and wallbreaker, but Simisear sees faces competition from other Fire-types, such as Heatmor, and it's outclassed by Ninetales in many aspects, because Simisear is slower and less bulky, but it is viable for the higher damage output it provides and the Fighting-type coverage. Unfortunately, Simisear is easily worn down due of its mediocre bulk and lack of recovery; it also has bad typing that makes it struggle against entry hazards, especially Stealth Rock. Simisear isn't too fast ["Simisear is a threatening special attacking sweeper thanks to its high Speed" & "Simisear isn't too fast"?] and is also frail, so it can be easily revenge killed by faster Pokemon, such as Zebstrika and Floatzel.

Moves
========

Nasty Plot is Simisear's only setup move, and it gives Simisear giving him an immediate +2 Special Attack boost. Fire Blast is the main STAB as it is very powerful and preferred over Flamethrower for the power. Focus Blast is for coverage to hit any resists, helping against Rock- and Ground-types, such as Probopass and Piloswine respectively, which can be threatening. Grass Knot is another coverage move to hit Water- and Ground-types, such as Carracosta, Poliwrath, [ac] and Golem.

Set Details
========

Running maximum Speed and Special Attack investment allows Simisear to be as fast and powerful as possible. A Timid nature is preferred over Modest; [semi > comma] although it would have has less power, but outspeeding base 100 Speed Pokemon, such as Dodrio and Ninetales, [ac] is very important. Life Orb boosts Simisear's power, especially is a good option, considering the power boost, adding with Blaze, and it can allow Simisear to threaten Fire-type resists with its STAB move, but Life Orb makes Simisear less durable because of the recoil, although it's still the best option. Blaze allows Simisear to fire off insanely powerful Fire Blasts before it faints, and behind a Substitute it is very threatening, although not very reliable.

Usage Tips
========

Simisear is difficult to use because it rarely finds any space to set up a Nasty Plot, so it's preferred to set up late-game where when its checks and counters are already weakened. Simisear can actually set up early-game and work as a wallbreaker, threatening Pokemon such as Lickilicky--in the case you already have another win condition. Be sure to remove all checks and counters, such as Fire-type resists or special walls, [rc] like including Rapidash and Togetic. Simisear should be switched in Switching in on a predictable predicted move, [rc] or with a slow Volt Switch, U-turn, or Baton Pass. Don't forget how frail Simisear is, so make sure to avoid any statuses, and be sure to remove entry hazards before bringing Simisear in. Because it is frail, Simisear should also only set up on switches or weak attacks.

Team Options
========

Entry hazards support from Pokemon such as by Roselia and Probopass is greatly appreciated by Simisear to help wear down its checks. Managing entry hazard control when running Simisear in a team is important, [ac] as it is weak to entry hazards, especially Stealth Rock, so Rapid Spin and Defog users such as Armaldo and Pelipper make for good partners. Sticky Webs is a good option to slow down fast Pokemon such as Zebstrika or Kadabra and revenge killers, especially Choice Scarf users, such as Mr. [add space] Mime and Sawsbuck, that try to stop Simisear from sweeping, therefore Leavanny or Kricketune are good teammates, because they are able to set Sticky Web. Grass-types, such as Leafeon, Tangela, and Roselia, can handle Water- and Ground-types [remove space before "types"] such as Carracosta and ??? [you have to add something here or remove the ???, though if you remove the ??? you have to also remove "Ground-"] for Simisear, letting it run Focus Blast instead of Grass Knot.

move 2: Grass Knot
move 3: Rock Slide
move 4: Low Kick
item: Life Orb

nature: Hasty
evs: 252 SpA / 4 Atk / 252 Spe

Moves
========

Fire Blast allows is a great powerful Fire-type STAB, allowing Simisear to be threatening, considering even Fire-type resists cannot switch into it too many times. Grass Knot is for coverage, allowing Simisear to threaten Fire-type resists its main STAB resists, such as Carracosta and Poliwrath. Rock Slide helps Simisear against Fire-types, which can switch-[remove hyphen] in on Fire Blast and can't be aren't threatened by Grass Knot, such as Ninetales, Rapidash, and Heatmor. Low Kick, in this case, outclasses Focus Blast in this case, [rc] because it can threaten specially defensive walls, mainly Lickilicky, [ac] which can stall and threaten the PP of Focus Blast; [semi > comma] mainly for Lickilicky, it also helps against Zweilous. Taunt can be useful to limit the effectiveness of leads, such as Leavanny and Krickteune, that rely on setting up entry hazards or Sticky Web.

Set Details
========

Maximum Speed and Special Attack investment is used, [rc] to outspeed all base 100 Speed 100 Pokemon, such as Dodrio and Ninetales, and to have as much power as possible. The residual 4 EVs are put into rise its Attack. A Hasty nature increases Simisear's is to rise its Speed without lowering its Attack. Life Orb is the best item option due to for the power boost; [semi > comma] which when combined with added to Blaze, it allows Simisear to can threaten Fire-type resists with Fire Blast, and thanks to Life Orb, it can KO to non Fire-type resists, but However, [ac] it also makes Simisear less durable because of its recoil. Blaze allows Simisear to fire off insanely powerful Fire Blasts before it faints, and behind a Substitute it is very threatening, although it's not very reliable.

Usage Tips
========

Mixed Simisear particularly shines in the mid-game thanks to its ability to punch through the enemy team with its coverage moves, therefore opening holes for other team members. Be sure to not reveal your physical moves early, as so there is a chance to lure in special walls such as Lickilicky and common checks such as Zwerilous and Rapidash. Switch-[remove hyphen] Simisear in on a predicted attack, or with a slow Volt Switch, U-turn, or Baton Pass. Don't forget on how frail Simisear is; [semi > comma] it can't take priority attacks and doesn't do well when statused, and avoid any statuses. Be sure to remove entry hazards before Simisear comes in.

Team Options
========

Simisear appreciates being on offensively oriented teams in general, [rc] because they have way more ways to make use of its ability to wallbreak. It also appreciates entry hazard removal because it is squishy and has a glaring Stealth Rock weakness, so Defog and Rapid Spin users are good teammates. Setup Set-up sweepers appreciate the wallbreaking provided by Simisear. Entry hazard support itself, especially by Toxic Spikes, [ac] is appreciated by Simisear, because it eases the Simisear's job in dealing with troublesome walls.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Knock Off is an option to threaten some special walls that can take Simisear's attacks well Simisear, such as Grumpig and Hypno. Hidden Power Electric [add space] can be used for its hitting Simisear's common checks, such as Pelipper and Swanna. Simisear with Taunt could be a great stall breaker. A SubSalac set[remove space], along with Blaze, can make Simisear a very fast and threatening sweeper against unprepared teams, and with this variant, Gluttony can also be used, as it makes Simisear eat the berry as fast as possible, [rc] and therefore have slightly more HP be at a slightly higher health.

**Strong and Fast Pokemon**: Pokemon such as Floatzel, Choice Scarf Mr. Mime, and Zebstrika, [rc] can outspeed Simisear, [ac] and have a decent damage output, and can revenge kill it with ease, although they don't appreciate being hit by a STAB Fire Blast. **Priority Moves**: Because of its lack of recovery, mediocre bulk, and subpar typing, Simisear is easily KOed by many priority moves, [ac] such as Basculin's and Carracosta's Aqua Jet and Mightyena's Sucker Punch, [ac] especially if it has taken susceptible to most priorities, possibly with prior damage to ensure the KO. Examples of priorities that can handle Simisear are Aqua Jet by Carracosta and Basculin, and Sucker Punch by Mightyena, which KOes if entry hazards are up.
