    Claydol [Clive] (N/A)

    • Nature: Relaxed (Adds a Rank to Defense, Divides Base Speed by 1.15 and gives a flat 10 point decrease in evasion, effectively adding 10 accuracy (e.g. 85 becomes 95) to opponent's attacks directed at this Pokemon.)

    Type:

    • [Ground]: Ground STAB; Immune to all electrical attacks, can Dig through almost any substance, Evasive Digging reduced from 3 per action Energy Cost to 2 per action, superior senses in darkened cave surroundings.
    • [Psychic]: Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic attacks regardless of weight difference. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

    Abilities:

    • Levitate: (Innate) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Dig, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. All other Ground moves can still hit. Levitate Pokemon will retain the Levitate trait when they use Skill Swap on an enemy, and will steal the opponent's ability (the user can specify if they want a foe or ally to gain Levitate from a Skill Swap.) If a Pokemon with Levitate uses Role Play, they will copy the opponent's abilities and retain Levitate.

The Pokemon executes weak attacks much more effectively, adding +1 priority to all their attacks with 6 or less Base Attack Power (after other ability adjustments). Priority is applied to the summed Base Attack Power of a multi-hit move (e.g. Double Kick has priority at 6 BAP, Skill Link Bullet Seed doesn't at 15 BAP.)

    Abilites:
Intimidate: (Can be Activated) When this Pokemon initially goes out into the battlefield, it generates an intimidating roar or war cry that shakes all opponents on the battlefield, reducing thier Attack stage by one (1). The attack drop is maintained at the end of each round. If an opponent switches in a new Pokemon, Intimidate can be activated again.
Flash Fire: (Innate) This Pokemon thrives in high temperatures, and takes the energy of any opposing fire attack, nullifies the damage, and uses the additional power to boost its own fire attack’s Base Attack Power by two (2). Self-targeted attacks do not give the boost.
Justified (DW): (Innate) This Pokemon's body reacts to dark energy, invigorating its passions. When hit by a Dark-type move, the Pokemon's attack will increase one (1) stage. I would says some opening comments but no one could hear it, so let us jump to the battle!

Prince begins the battle by showing why he was choosen for this job, using his fine nose, he finds the metallic spider quickly, Odour Sleuth was a success. Christopher doesn't to waste his time with things like that, as he has the advantage being a Psychic type, which he quickly capitalises on with one of their trademark moves, Reflect. Prince will have trouble breaking through that one!

Knowing that he is better off using this chance to weaken Metagross not with damage but with status, Prince sends a Thunder Wave at Christopher, paralysing him. Managing to over come his problem, Christopher continues to set up, this time some rocks, to punish any future switches by SimonSays, things aren't looking nice for Prince with those Stealth Rocks.

He doesn't give up though, knowing Christopher's orders he avoids damage by wasting a turn on Leech Seed, which Christopher dodges with an Agility, albeit for nothing and the Seeds go way off their intended path.

Prince is in a best position with his offense being shut down, but he has maneuvered nicely till now. Alas even escaping may not be an option with the Rocks up, and a counterswitch in his face. It would give him a chance to play around Alch's orders if he plays right though, but we shall see, not hear though, sure not hear.

Wow Singles are so easy to ref... I got too used to those damned multiple battles. If I had known this I'd have had time to ref this ages ago.... sorry....

Shhh, the battle continues, stay silent or you can't hear the nothing.

Prince now uses his Leech Seeds for real, not a diversion tactic like last time, and it came at such a bad time for Christopher too! He was just about to set up a Substitute, seems like he will be drained for a while now.

But it looks like the sub was worth it's money, as it manages to block the Sand-Attack aimed at Christopher's. He isn't too happy though, and won't let that underhanded move slide. As he goes into rage mode his arm starts to freeze, as he strikes with a mighty Ice Hammer Arm... Then the forest gets to him and he horribly misses, sucks to be him.

With Prince being free to do whatever he wants to, he goes for a Wild Charge, alas with both a reflective wall and a substitute in his way, that didn't do much, but at least Leech Seed is outdamaging both sides!

Neither sides First turn setup is up anymore, will Odour Sleuth be used again? Will a Reflect stand in Prince's way again? Will they just finally start attacking? We all know that the answer to the last question is no.
