So, we have a battle. It's a fast 1v1, it's at the ASB Arena, and...wait, items? Fun. Stuff.

The competitors:

In the red corner, with Fawkes the Eevee, SimonSays!

Eevee [Fawkes] (F)
Nature: Bashful (No effect)
Type: Normal
Normal: Normal STAB; adapt comfortably to any surrounding after 3 actions. Able to use Outrage without losing focus.

Abilities:
Run Away: (Innate) This Pokemon is quick on its feet and will evade any field traps and hazards that would harm it (Spikes, Stealth Rock, Toxic Spikes) in an arena. A Pokemon can still absorb Toxic Spikes if it has Run Away and is Poison-typed. Run Away does not allow the Pokemon to switch out of trapping moves or abilities, however it can escape other situational trapping strategies in battle.
Adaptability: (Innate) The moves that match this Pokemon’s type have their Base Attack Power increased by two (2).
Anticipation (DW): (Innate) This Pokemon is better at sensing dangerous attacks, and reduced the Base Attack Power from super-effective attacks, Selfdestruct, and Explosion by two (2).

Psychic: Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic attacks regardless of weight difference. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Fighting: Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions of throwing/grappling moves. Superior reaction time in close quarters.

Steadfast: (Innate) If this Pokemon is flinched, it becomes aware of the speed difference and increases speed by one (1) stage to make up the difference. This speed boost is maintained at the end of each round.

Justified (DW-UNLOCKED): (Innate) This Pokemon's body reacts to dark energy, invigorating its passions. When hit by a Dark-type move, the Pokemon's attack will increase one (1) stage. A boost gained this way by an opponent's attack will be maintained at the end of each round. Self-targeted attacks do not maintain boosts.

->

Espeon (Fawkes) [F]
Nature: Bashful (No effect)
Type: Psychic
Psychic: Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic attacks regardless of weight difference. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:
Synchronize: (Innate) Pokemon with this ability mentally link their condition to an opposing Pokemon and pass on any status inflicted on them to their foe. Due to their body structure, Poison types cannot be poisoned and Fire types cannot be burned in this manner.
Magic Bounce (DW): (Innate) This Pokemon has a Psychic sense that allows it to ward off non-damaging attacks as soon as they are launched, directing them back at the opponent.

It gains Confusion as a Pre-25 move!

Item? Nah, it's cool to be without.

I'll use a Razor claw. In addition to raising my crit stage by 1, the razor claw also raises the BP of Night Slash, Psycho Cut, X-Scissor and Slash by 3, so take this into account when doing damage calcs, please.

X-Scissor~Night Slash~X-Scissor

IF Espeon uses Yawn, THEN Magic Coat it and push actions back.

Let's get this (quick) show on the road!

SimonSays':

Fawkes (Espeon) [F]
Nature: Bashful
Health: 100
Energy: 100%

Kaxtar's:

Nature: Jolly
Health: 100
Energy: 100%
Boosts: +1 Crit Stage
Other: None
Actions: X-Scissor - Night Slash - X-Scissor

Both trainers eagerly release their Pokemon into battle in the ASB arena, and immediately there is an air of excitement drifting about the battle. Fawkes, elated to be in another battle with her trainer, rewards him with an evolution into Espeon! When the white glow receded, Fawkes tested her new speed and abilities by launching a rapid Shadow Ball straight at Demi Gravidon, who skidded back a bit after bracing himself for the attack. In response, Gravidon rushed his opponent, drawing bladed arms and crossing them over the face of Fawkes in the form of an X-Scissor, really taking advantage of his items boost to inflict maximum damage!

Sensing the opportunity to take advantage of the closer distance between them, Fawkes kicked a good bit of Sand into the eyes of Gravidon, who looked mildly irritated at the accuracy lose, but not particularly devastated. This irritation (and some help from the Razor Claw), allowed Gravidon to strike her down with an exceedingly powerful Night Slash, which came upon Fawkes with a sinister aura before causing her to buckle under the intense pressure.

When she regained her footing, Fawkes began to realize the futility of accuracy reduction, and instead fired off another Shadow Ball, which was met with another furious X-Scissor from Gravidon in return!

Losing? Check. But I think we lasted longer this way. Let's just go down swinging.

Wish ~ Shadow Ball/Confusion Combination
Aiming to hit it harder/more with the one Ball, or maybe even (using immense psychic energy), create multiples and fire them all.

Aerial Ace+X-Scissor Combo~Recover~X-Scissor

Nice Job Gallade, let's use a combo so that pesky accuracy drop doesn't get in our way.

As to be expected, the final round!
