Just Ultra Moon is fine. Tbh SM look like beta releases compared to USUM. You can transfer Pokemon through PokeBank, which is available after you get your Pokedex IIRC. As for breeding competitively, I have no idea lol. And in regards to starting out with perfect Pokemon, you'll need some perfect Dittos to breed them, which are given away by many different users

Yep, I caught one then heard about this and KOed the other. I was able to fight the second Stakataka when I came back and that was before I finished RR.

No, anything there is only in a plain pokeball. Your only option for an Apriball is Safari.

Pokemon aren't really "caught" in pokepelago, they just show up in a box when you click on them. There's no control over what you get. They're little more than Wonder Trade fodder.
