Slowbro

3/3: | PK Gaming | ginganinja | BKC |
2/2: | relaunched | Oglemi |

[Overview]

  • The Bro to end all Bros
  • Seriously underrated physical wall, one of the best Fighting-type checks in the game, completely shuts down any Terrakion besides SD Rock Gem
  • Excellent physical Dragon check; Kyurem-B tops out at 88% with +1 252+ Atk Fusion Bolt
  • Gives less fucks about Pursuit than most Psychic-types thanks to insane physical bulk and Regenerator
  • Rather specially frail; can't take too many neutral hits, much less SE ones
  • Extremely slow, only outspeeds Ferrothorn, so it's taking several hits every time it switches, at least
  • If you're looking for team support/utility, almost every bulky water does that better, but Slowbro is a better wall than most of them
  • Offensive sets (Specs and Trick Room) appreciate rain support to boost his Water STAB

[SET]
name: Defensive Wall
move 1: Scald
move 2: Ice Beam
move 3: Thunder Wave / Psyshock / Psychic
move 4: Slack Off
item: Leftovers
ability: Regenerator
nature: Bold
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
ivs: 19 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

  • Poops all over almost every Fighting-type ever
  • There are very, very few physical attackers that can beat Slowbro without fear of reprisal. Breloom is the only OU Pokémon that can OHKO fully healthy Bro without set-up, but Scizor, Tyranitar, and Kyurem-B can KO with hazard support (all with Choice Band, of course)
  • Scald for that evil, evil 30% burn chance
  • Thunder Wave cripple opposing Pokémon
  • Ice Beam puts the hurt on Dragons, OHKOing Salamence, Dragonite after Rocks, and does a minimum of 88.3% to Garchomp
  • Psyshock hits Gyarados harder as well as is the most consistent option against Terrakion. Psychic hits harder on average, and specifically hits Conkeldurr and Cloyster hard
  • 19 Speed IVs allows it to always underspeed Conkeldurr so it never takes full damage from Payback, Conkeldurr's most powerful attack against Bro

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

  • Toxic to cripple opposing walls, though Ferrothorn and any Pokémon with Natural Cure won't care
  • 4 SpA Flamethrower 2HKOs Ferrothorn out of the rain and OHKOs 248/0 Scizor 81% of the time, and brings 252/0 Forretress down to Sturdy, Fire Blast does even more damage (I would give calcs but Kalashnikov is down and I don't know any other reliable calculators. Suffice to say that Ferro can be OHKOd with Spikes support and Scizor never survives)
  • Thanks to Regenerator, you can conceivably drop Slack Off for a third attacking move or a second status move
  • The pink blobs and Celebi are good teammates, providing Heal Bell/Aromatherapy support as well as sponging most special attacks. Celebi shares Bug, Dark, and Ghost weaknesses, so watch out for that
  • Amoonguss also has Regenerator and synergizes nicely as a Regenerating Core, Slowbro as a physical wall and Amoonguss as a special wall. Unfortunately, outside of status they don't offer much team support
  • Heatran and Amoongus complete a Fire-Water-Grass core, worth looking into

[SET]
name: Choice Specs
move 1: Surf
move 2: Fire Blast

move 4: Trick / Ice Beam / Grass Knot
item: Choice Specs
ability: Regenerator
nature: Modest
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
ivs: 19 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

  • Surprise your opponents with Slowbro's respectable base 100 SpA and Choice Specs
  • Received Trick in BW2, opening the ever popular strategy of tricking a Choice item to an opposing wall
  • Really doesn't give a damn about entry hazards with Regenerator, making him rather unique among Choice users
  • Fire Blast puts the hurt on Grass-types and Steels, especially Ferrothorn (fuck this guy)

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

  • Grass Knot for opposing Water-types
  • Ice Beam for Dragons; this is not a primary move because without that physical investment Bro is not such a good switch-in anymore
  • Anything that hates Ferrothorn (Choice Keldeo, Double Dance Thundurus-T, Kyurem-B) love to see it roasted on the lure so they can sweep more freely

[SET]

name: Offensive Trick Room
move 1: Trick Room
move 2: Surf
move 3: Psyshock / Psychic
move 4: Ice Beam / Shadow Ball
item: Life Orb
ability: Regenerator
nature: Quiet
evs: 232 HP / 24 Def / 252 SpA
ivs: 0 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

  • Trick Room, fuck yeah
  • Life Orb gives Slowbro just a little sweeping power
  • More than enough bulk to tank a hit, put Trick Room back up if it's gone, and then Regenerate the hell out of there, letting something like Guts Conkeldurr have his day
  • STABs for attacking, most bang for your buck
  • Ice Beam hits Dragons thinking to prey on you when setting up Trick Room, Shadow Ball hits opposing Psychics hard

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

  • All other attacking options listed earlier are viable over Bro's STABs, just depends on what you need
  • Defensive spread (252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA) and Leftovers make Slowbro more of a pure Trick Room supporter. In this case, drop one of your attacking moves for Slack Off
  • Lots of Trick Room sweepers appreciate it if they can't put Trick Room up themselves or can't afford to spend the turn themselves: Conkeldurr, Reuniclus, Escavalier, Gigalith, Rhyperior, Magnezone, Tyranitar, Chandelure (honestly, I just threw a bunch of Pokémon with relatively low Speed stats and high attacking stats out here. This will be much cleaner in the final write-up)

[OTHER OPTIONS]

  • Could run a straight-up LO tank set. Regenerator seriously adds to that viability, Slack Off + 3 Attacks and whatnot
  • Calm Mind is seriously outdone by other Pokémon, but if you make it work more power to you

[CHECKS AND COUNTERS]

  • First and foremost: Special walls, barring Jirachi (SpDef Jirachi does dick for damage and risks Scald burns and T-Wave if it tries to stay in and flinch hax)
  • Powerful special attackers (so CM Jirachi with Thunder or Grass Knot, etc.)
  • Breloom HAS to watch out for Psyshock/Psychic and Scald Burns, but if it's in, Bullet Seed is going to shred Slowbro
  • Similar to Breloom, Scizor needs to beware Flamethrower/Fire Blast and Scald, but U-turn will tear Bro a new one
  • Bulky set-up attackers with Substitute; Gyarados' SubDD set is a prime example
  • CB Tyranitar does up to 88% with Pursuit on the switch, but that's really the only Pursuiter you should fear with Regenerator

[Overview]

<p>Slowbro has many talents to offer a team, even in the OU tier. The fact that Slowbro is one of the best Fighting-type checks is often overlooked; it can handle Terrakion, Keldeo, and Conkeldurr quite well. It's also an excellent physical Dragon-type check; Garchomp, Salamence, and Dragonite are completely cornered by Ice Beam. You cannot look past Slowbro's fantastic ability in Regenerator, which greatly increases its walling capabilities. Not only does Slowbro get a recovery move in Slack Off, it also has amazing physical bulk to back it up. Though mediocre, Slowbro's Special Defense can allow it to survive a strong blow. Slowbro not only shines on the defensive side, as its Special Attack is high enough to make use of, especially when combined with its great coverage. Slowbro can also turn its horrid Speed into a powerful weapon thanks to Trick Room. There's more: Slowbro is one of the few Psychic-types that doesn't mind taking a Pursuit from the likes of Tyranitar and Scizor.</p>

<p>However, Slowbro has many flaws that make it undesirable to some players. It is extremely slow, so it cannot outspeed any notable threats besides Ferrothorn. Slowbro is also outclassed by many Water-types when it comes to team support; Jellicent is a much better option in that department. All in all, while Slowbro has some flaws, it also has many qualities that make it a great ally on a variety of teams.</p>

[SET]
name: Defensive Wall

move 2: Ice Beam
move 3: Psychic / Thunder Wave
move 4: Slack Off
item: Leftovers
ability: Regenerator
nature: Bold
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
ivs: 19 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

<p>With access to an amazing ability in Regenerator, a reliable healing move in Slack Off, a great defensive typing, and a respectable Defense stat, Slowbro works well as a defensive wall. This set allows Slowbro to counter almost every Fighting-type, including Terrakion, Conkeldurr, and Lucario. In fact, Breloom is the only physical attacker in OU that can OHKO Slowbro at full HP without any setup. Scald is Slowbro's primary STAB move, potentially crippling the opponent with its 30% burn chance. Ice Beam is a great coverage move, especially against Dragon-types; Salamence and Dragonite in particular are OHKOed after Stealth Rock damage with Ice Beam, while Garchomp is 2HKOed by it. There are two alternatives for the third moveslot. If another STAB move is preferred, Psychic can be used. Psychic does more damage in general, specifically having optimal coverage on Conkeldurr and Cloyster. Thunder Wave is a great option to cripple the opponent, crippling fast, powerful Pokemon, such as Latios. It also gives Slowbro a means of supporting the entire team. Slack Off fills the final moveslot, allowing Slowbro to stay in prime condition while enhancing its ability as a defensive wall by lengthening its lifespan.</p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>19 Speed IVs forces standard Conkeldurr to outspeed Slowbro so the latter never takes full damage from Payback, Conkeldurr's most powerful attack against it. Psyshock can be used as a secondary STAB move in this set, as it hits Calm Mind Keldeo, Terrakion in the sand, and Gyarados harder than any other move Slowbro has. Toxic can be used to cripple opposing walls like as Hippowdon and Cresselia. Flamethrower is a viable option as well; it 2HKOes Ferrothorn outside of rain, OHKOes 248/0 Scizor 81% of the time, and brings 252/0 Forretress down to Sturdy. However, Fire Blast does even more damage in exchange for less accuracy, OHKOing every variant of Scizor, bar the bulky Swords Dance set. Thanks to Regenerator, you have the option to replace Slack Off for an alternative move. Slowbro's longevity decreases significantly with this change, however.</p>

<p>Despite having a decent Special Defense stat, Slowbro always appreciates partners who can sponge powerful special attacks for it. Blissey and Chansey are fantastic special walls that can take the special attacks for Slowbro. Celebi is a great partner for Slowbro, as it can take most of Slowbro's weaknesses, such as Eletric- and Grass-type moves. Celebi shares Bug-, Dark-, and Ghost-type weaknesses with Slowbro, so you must be wary of that. Amoonguss also bears Regenerator and has nice synergy with Slowbro, forming a nice Regenerator core. Amoonguss can also handle Breloom, a common OU threat to Slowbro. Heatran combined with these two completes a potent defensive Fire / Water / Grass core; Heatran can also deal with specially defensive Celebi and Magnezone for Slowbro, which aids in keeping the balance between the core. Finally, Slowbro's biggest enemies to this set are Choice Band Tyranitar, Breloom, and Scizor. Skarmory handles all three of them while setting up Spikes in certain situations.</p>

[SET]
name: Choice Specs
move 1: Surf
move 2: Fire Blast
move 3: Psyshock / Psychic
move 4: Trick / Ice Beam / Grass Knot
item: Choice Specs
ability: Regenerator
nature: Modest
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
ivs: 19 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

<p>Though Slowbro is widely known for its formidable bulk, it can still make use of its respectable base 100 Special Attack with Choice Specs. With the new gift of Trick in BW2, Slowbro now has the opportunity to cripple opposing walls by exchanging items with the them. Slowbro also doesn't mind switching in and out of entry hazards thanks to Regenerator, which makes it stand out from fellow Choice users. Add that to its wonderful bulk; not only can Slowbro survive a hit, the ability to also inflict damage onto the foe is what makes this set unique.</p>

<p>Surf is the powerful, primary STAB move for Slowbro. Fire Blast is a great coverage move against the many Steel-type Pokemon roaming the OU metagame, including Ferrothorn. It can also handle Grass-types like Venusaur and Breloom. The secondary STAB move for the third moveslot depends on preference. Psyshock helps Slowbro break through special walls, and while Psychic cannot achieve this, Psychic is a stronger STAB attack that can defeat Conkeldurr. The final moveslot presents another choice. Trick is the recommended option, ruining the opponent's strategy by forcing them to stick to one move. However, Ice Beam and Grass Knot are both good coverage moves against Dragon- and opposing Water-type Pokemon, respectively, and should be used if either type is harmful to the rest of your team.</p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>Regardless of Speed investment, Slowbro won't outspeed anything significant, so 252 EVs are placed in HP to give it as much bulk as possible, and 252 Special Attack EVs with a Modest nature maximizes its power. Regenerator is the ability of choice, allowing Slowbro to switch freely without fear of passive damage from Spikes and Stealth Rock. 19 Speed IVs make Slowbro slower than standard Conkeldurr, letting it avoid double damage from Payback, Conkeldurr's strongest attack against it. Shadow Ball is a possible alternate move for Slowbro, as it can dent Ghost- and opposing Psychic-types. Flamethrower is also an alternative for Fire Blast; while it lacks the raw power Fire Blast provides, it has higher accuracy, which makes it more reliable in certain cases.</p>

<p>Slowbro has a plethora of coverage moves to choose from, so it doesn't need any one partner in particular. Slowbro can lure Ferrothorn onto the field and defeat it with Fire Blast, so any Pokemon that benefits from having Ferrothorn removed will work well with Slowbro, Choice Scarf or Specs Keldeo, Double Dance Thundurus-T, and Kyurem-B being a few examples of note. Since Slowbro is going to be switching often with this set, a Choice Band Tyranitar's Pursuit would put Slowbro in danger. Having partners who can defeat Tyranitar, such as Landorus-T and Terrakion, are recommended; however, the latter cannot switch in on a Superpower from Tyranitar. Thundurus-T can easily outspeed and OHKO Slowbro with its STAB Electric-type attacks; Gastrodon and Quagsire are both great counters to Thundurus-T since they can take almost everything it can throw at them bar Grass Knot. When Psyshock is not used, Slowbro has difficulty defeating special walls, such as Blissey, so physical attackers, such as Terrakion and Garchomp, work well with Slowbro. Celebi can also handle Jellicent, a Pokemon that is difficult for Slowbro to defeat thanks to its great bulk, while not being bothered by a Toxic or Will-O-Wisp Latios and Calm Mind Latias both give Slowbro trouble, with the latter being able to set up against Slowbro. Specially defensive Jirachi can handle both of them, walling their Hidden Power Fire quite nicely and potentially paralyzing them with Body Slam or Thunder Wave. Jirachi also synergizes with Slowbro well, taking the special attacks for it, including the Ghost-, Bug-, and Dark-type moves for neutral damage.</p>

[SET]
name: Offensive Trick Room
move 1: Trick Room
move 2: Surf
move 3: Psyshock / Psychic
move 4: Ice Beam / Shadow Ball
item: Life Orb
ability: Regenerator
nature: Quiet
evs: 232 HP / 24 Def / 252 SpA
ivs: 0 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

<p>Slowbro's pitiful Speed can be used to its advantage with Trick Room. With its offensive presence, formidable bulk, and access to healing via Regenerator, Slowbro has all the necessary supplies it needs to function as a successful offensive Trick Room user. This set is mostly used late-game to clean up any scraps the sweepers may have left. However, thanks to Regenerator, Slowbro is one of the few Trick Room sweepers that can useful in the entire game due to its ability to act as a pivot and hit-and-run attacker. Trick Room is the key factor to this set, allowing Slowbro to outspeed nearly every Pokemon in the OU tier, bar Ferrothorn. Surf is Slowbro's main STAB move, and Psyshock or Psychic are its secondary STAB moves, a classic choice between power and "mixed" attacking. The final move depends on the coverage needed; Ice Beam is for Dragon-types, and Shadow Ball hits Celebi and Jirachi for great damage while also denting Celei, Latios, and Latias as well.</p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>Life Orb enhances Slowbro's power, and it doesn't have to worry about the recoil damage thanks to Regenerator, healing any excess damage Slowbro may have incurred. A Quiet nature and zero Speed IVs minimize Slowbro's Speed, allowing Slowbro to outspeed almost all OU threats under Trick Room. A 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA EV spread can be used if you wish for Slowbro to play a more defensive role, making it more of a pure Trick Room supporter. If that path is taken, it's advised to drop one of Slowbro's attacks for Slack Off to maintain its lifespan. Leftovers should be replaced with Life Orb as well if Slowbro runs the defensive EV spread. Fire Blast can also be used in the final moveslot to deal with Steel-types, specifically Ferrothorn.</p>

<p>Many Trick Room sweepers appreciate being paired with Slowbro, since it can set up Trick Room for them. Examples of these sweepers are Magnezone, who can remove Ferrothorn, making it easier for Slowbro to sweep; Conkeldurr, who can get past Ferrothorn, Celebi and Jellicent, and Reuniclus who is another excellent Trick Room sweeper that can clean up after Slowbro weakens the opposition. Ferrothorn and Forretress can be used with Slowbro as well for a more defensive route, as they can make use of their Speed to set up entry hazards. They also can take the super effective attacks against Slowbro, such as Ghost-, Bug-, Grass-, and Dark-type moves. Since Slowbro will usually come in late-game, sweepers such as Volcarona are preferred to weaken the opponent, making Slowbro's job as an offensive Trick Room user much easier. Volcarona can aid in defeating Ferrothorn and Celebi for Slowbro as well. Entry hazards to weaken the adversary are also appreciated; Ferrothorn is a great hazard setter with Slowbro, covering its weaknesses quite well. Slowbro has no way of reliably defeating Steel-types, such as Ferrothorn and Jirachi, since it loses a Fire-type coverage move. Heatran and Magnezone are prime choices to handle them; the former can roast almost every Steel-type it encounters, and the latter can trap and defeat the Steel-types quite easily with Hidden Power Fire.</p>

[Other Options]

<p>There are very few other options for Slowbro. It can run a Life Orb tank set, which complements Regenerator's usefulness quite nicely, healing any damage from Life Orb's recoil. Slack Off and three moves is a great example of such a set. Slowbro can run a Calm Mind set, but he needs several boosts to have a chance of sweeping, giving more time for a powerful attacker to come in and cripple Slowbro, and is outclassed for the most part by Jirachi and Latias as a bulky boosting sweeper.</p>

[Checks and Counters]

<p>Celebi, Chansey, Blissey, and Gastrodon are the best counters to Slowbro. They can brush off anything that defensive Slowbro can do and beat it one-on-one. Latias, Latios, Amoonguss, Starmie, Rotom-W, and Jellicent are also good checks to Slowbro, as they can wall the majority of his attacks and defeat him without difficulty. Slowbro is lacking in the Special Defense department, special attackers, such as Jolteon, Thundurus-T, and Magnezone, are the best offensive checks. While Breloom cannot switch into Slowbro's Psychic-type attacks, it can OHKO Slowbrother with Bullet Seed, accounting that it hits at least three times. Choice Band Tyranitar is the only Pursuit user Slowbro actually worries about, as Tyranitar can 2HKO Slowbro with Pursuit. Ferrothorn, defensive Politoed with Toxic, Kyurem-B and Kyurem with Substitute, Tentacruel with Toxic in rain, SubCM Jirachi, Hydreigon, Ninetales, and Venusaur are all good checks as well; most of them cannot wall or switch into some of Slowbro's attacks, but they can land a KO on Slowbro in the right situation. Finally, anything that can seriously injure Slowbro but can't switch into it Id a great revenge killer against Slowbro. Scizor, for example, is a good revenge killer against Slowbro, as its STAB Bug-type moves can seriously dent Slowbro. However, it must be wary of Flamethrower and Fire Blast. There are many approaches to defeating Slowbro, but any powerful special attacker won't have too much trouble taking it down.</p>

Sorry for double posting, but I finally got around to this, and it's all written out now. Did my best to make it as precise as possible, and tried to clear it of any obvious spelling errors. It's ready to be looked at by the QC team.

A few relatively minor fixes:

<p>Despite the talent it has to offer, Slowbro has yet to earn the credit it deserves, and it isn't difficult to see why. Slowbro is rather frail in Special Defense; it fails to survive many neutral hits, much less super effective moves. It is also extremely slow, so it cannot outspeed any notable threats besides Ferrothorn. Slowbro is also outclassed by many Water-types when it comes to team support or utility; Jellicent and Vaporeon are much better options in that department.</p>
Not a big fan of this paragraph. First sentence is waffle, slowbro's special defense is actually OK (95/80, so basically the only neutral hit you aren't taking is specs latios draco meteor), and vaporeon is definitely not better than it. I don't like having such a negative start to an analysis, either. You should be opening up with a brief explanation of what slowbro's role is - it's a very durable physical wall, above all else (in which case, low speed is not really relevant). Its good movepool is also worth mentioning in the overview.

In fact, Breloom is the only Pokemon in OU that can OHKO Slowbro with full HP without any setup
This is clearly not true (think thundurus-t lol) - I think it is true for physical attacks though. I presume that's what you were trying to say.

Thunder Wave is a great option to not only cripple the opponent, but also to abate fast, powerful Pokemon, such as Latios and Starmie
A pokemon with natural cure is perhaps not the best example.

Psyshock can tear through special walls, such as Blissey and Chansey
I think you are underestimating chansey's physical defense. Better reasons to use it include hitting CM Keldeo harder, and hitting Terrakion in sand harder (you need to specify sand). Honestly, though, psychic is the better choice.

Blissey, Chansey, and Celebi are good teammates, as they provide Heal Bell or Aromatherapy support
Heal Bell and aromatherapy are quite rare (and for a reason). Slowbro doesn't mind any status all that much because of all the healing it gets from regen, either.

It can run a Life Orb tank set, which compliments Regenerator's usefulness quite nicely, healing any excess damage from Life Orb's recoil
You mean complements. Complement = complete, compliment = say nice things about.

Thank you BKC and jc104; I added in the changes. This is now ready for the GP team.

This should be fun, Slowbro is the best <3.

[Overview]

<p>Slowbro is a very durable physical wall, and it achieves that role sucessfully successfully thanks to his desired a sought-after ability, Regenerator, and his great defensive typing. However, Slowbro is still overlooked in the OU tier. It is extremely slow, so it cannot outspeed any notable threats besides Ferrothorn. Slowbro is also outclassed by many Water-types when it comes to team support or utility (redundant); Jellicent is a much better option in that department.</p>

<p>However, many players have overlooked the fact that Slowbro is one of the best Fighting-type checks in the game, handling Terrakion, Keldeo, and Conkeldurr quite well. It's also an excellent physical Dragon-type check; Garchomp is completely cornered by Ice Beam, and Choice Band Kyurem-B only manages to 2HKO Slowbro with Fusion Bolt with 252 Attack EVs at +1. You cannot look past Slowbro's fantastic ability in Regenerator, increasing its walling capabilities. Not only does Slowbro wield get (wielding a recovery move doesn't make much sense, though "get" isn't my favorite word here either) a recovery move in Slack Off, it also has amazing physical bulk to back it up. Though mediocre, Slowbro's Special Defense, (RC) while decent, (RC) allows it to survive a strong blow. [SET COMMENTS]

<p>With access to an amazing ability in Regenerator, a reliable healing move in Slack Off, a great defensive typing, and a respectable Defense, Slowbro can attain a role works well as a defensive wall. This set allows Slowbro to be an excellent counter to almost every Fighting-type, including Terrakion, Conkeldurr, and Lucario. In fact, Breloom is the only physical attacker in OU that can OHKO Slowbro with at full HP without any setup. Scald is Slowbro's primary STAB move, potentially cripping crippling the opponent with the its 30% burn chance. Ice Beam is a great coverage move, especially against Dragon-types; Salamence and Dragonite in particular are OHKOed after Stealth Rock damage with Ice Beam, while Garchomp is 2HKOed by it. There are three alternate options alternatives for the third moveslot. Thunder Wave is a great option to not only cripple the opponent, but also to abate abating fast, powerful Pokemon, such as Latios. If another STAB move is preferred, Psyshock or Psychic can be used. Psyshock can tear through special walls, such as Blissey, while hitting Calm Mind Keldeo, Terrakion in the sand, and Gyarados for larger damage harder than any other move. It's also a consistent option against Terrakion. However, Psychic hits harder on average does more damage in general, specifically hitting specifically having optimal coverage on Conkeldurr and Cloyster hard. Slack Off fills the final moveslot, acting as a useful healing move, allowing Slowbro to stay in prime condition while enhancing its ability as a defensive wall by abiding (Not sure what you mean here, but abiding isn't it. Use a different word. Lengthening, perhaps?) its lifespan.</p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>Regenerator is one of Slowbro's best feature to this set, letting it heal HP for every switch. (This has been mentioned enough to go without saying.) Leftovers also increases Slowbro's longevity. 252 EVs are placed in both Defense and HP to raise Slowbro's bulk and defensive potential. A Bold nature further enhances Slowbro's Defense stat. 19 Speed IVs allows forces standard Conkeldurr to outspeed Slowbro so it never takes full damage from Payback;, (AC) Conkeldurr's most powerful attack against Slowbro. The combination of Leftovers, Regenerator, Slack Off, and Slowbro's aptitude in Defense is what makes Slowbro such an effective defensive wall. Slowbro's ability as a defensive wall shows when a Pokemon such as Kyurem-B can't even OHKO Slowbro.</p>

<p>Toxic can be used to cripple opposing walls, such as Hippowdon and Cresselia. Flamethrower is a viable option as well; it 2HKOes Ferrothorn that isn't in the outside of rain, OHKOes 248/0 Scizor 81% of the time, and brings 252/0 Forretress down to Sturdy. However, Fire Blast does even more damage in exchange for less accuracy, allowing OHKOing every variant of Scizor to be OHKOed, (RC) bar the bulky Swords Dance set. Thanks to Regenerator, you have the option to replace Slack Off for an alternative move. Celebi shares a Bug-, Dark-, and Ghost-type weakness with Slowbro, so you must be wary of that. Amoonguss also bears Regenerator and has nice synergy with Slowbro, forming a nice Regenerator core, with Slowbro as a physical wall and Amoonguss as a special wall. Heatran paired with Amoonguss complete Adding Heatran to these two completes a potent defensive Fire / Water / Grass core with Slowbro.</p>

<p>Surf is the powerful, primary STAB move for Slowbro. Fire Blast is a great coverage move against the many Steel-type Pokemon roaming the OU metagame, including Ferrothorn. It can also handle Grass-types Pokemon, such as Venusaur and Breloom. The secondary STAB move for the third moveslot depends on preference. Psyshock helps Slowbro break through special walls, and while Psychic cannot achieve this, Psychic is a stronger STAB attack that can hit the opponent consistently. The final moveslot is also a choice on preference; presents another choice. Trick is the recommended option, ruining the opponent's strategy by forcing them to stick to one move. However, Ice Beam and Grass Knot are both good coverage moves against Dragon- and opposing Water-type Pokemon, respectively, and should be used if either type is harmful for to the rest of your team.</p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>Choice Specs is the mandatory item as it gives Slowbro that additional power. (Once again, this goes without saying as the set is entitled "Choice Specs." You could mention why this Slowbro uses Choice Specs over Life Orb, though.) Despite the number of Speed EVs placed on Slowbro, it won't be outspeeding anything significant, Regardless of Speed investment, Slowbro won't outspeed anything significant, so the 252 EVs are placed in HP to give it as much bulk as possible, and 252 Special Attack EVs are used to make use of its decent Special Attack stat with a Modest nature maximizes its power. A Modest nature is used to maximize that Special Attack. Regenerator is the ability of choice, allowing Slowbro to switch freely without fear of passive damage from Spikes and Stealth Rock. 19 Speed IVs are used to allow Conkeldurr to outspeed Slowbro, as it will avoid taking too much damage from Payback, make Slowbro slower than standard Conkeldurr, letting it avoid double damage from Payback, Conkeldurr's strongest attack against Slowbro.</p>

<p>All the possible moves Slowbro would want to use are already listed in the set, so there really isn't an alternative move to use outside of what was recommended besides Shadow Ball. Slowbro's viable moves have mostly been covered above, though Shadow Ball is a possible alternative. In this set, Slowbro is used as a bulky special attacker, and since it has a plethora of coverage moves to choose from, there aren't many partners for Slowbro doesn't particularly need any one partner. Slowbro can lure Ferrothorn onto the field and defeat it with Fire Blast, so any Pokemon that benefits from having Ferrothorn ceased removed will work well with Slowbro, such as Choice Scarf or Specs Keldeo, Double Dance Thundurus-T, and Kyurem-B.</p>

[SET COMMENTS]

<p>Slowbro's pitiful Speed can now be used to its advantage with Trick Room. With its great decent offensive presence, formidable bulk, and access to healing via Regenerator, Slowbro has all the necessary supplies it needs to function as a successful offensive Trick Room user. This set is mostly used as a late-game strategy to clean up any scraps the sweepers may have left. Trick Room is the key factor to move on this set, allowing Slowbro to outspeed nearly every Pokemon in the OU tier, bar Ferrothorn. Surf is Slowbro's main STAB move, and Psyshock or Psychic are its secondary STAB moves, where the choice is whether you wish to hit hard with Psychic or fare well against special walls with Psyshock a classic choice between power and "mixed" attacking. The final move depends on the coverage needed;: Ice Beam is for Dragon-types, and Shadow Ball is for hitting hits opposing Psychic-types, (AC) Starmie in particular, hard.</p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>232 HP EVs and 24 Defense EVs balances out Slowbro's bulk, letting it tank a few blows. 252 EVs in Special Attack allow Slowbro to be an offensive and fast attacker under Trick Room. Life Orb enhances Slowbro's power, and it doesn't have to worry about the recoil damage thanks to Regenerator, healing any excess damage Slowbro may have received incurred. A Quiet nature and zero Speed IVs minimizes minimize Slowbro's Speed, allowing Slowbro to outspeed many almost all OU threats under Trick Room. Having 0 IVs in Speed further increases Slowbro's Speed once Trick Room is activated. An A 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA EV spread can be used if you wish for Slowbro to play a more defensive role, making it more of a pure Trick Room supporter. If that path is taken, it's advised to drop one of Slowbro's attacks with for Slack Off to maintain its lifespan. Fire Blast can also be used in the final moveslot to deal with Steel-types, specifically Ferrothorn.</p>

<p>With Slowbro's amazing coverage and a great defensive typing, it doesn't require many partners with this set. That being said, many Trick Room sweepers appreciate being paired with Slowbro, since it can set up Trick Room for them. Several examples Examples of these sweepers would include are Conkeldurr, Reuniclus, and Magnezone. Ferrothorn and Forretress can be used with Slowbro as well for a more defensive route. Since Slowbro would will usually come in late-game, sweepers such as Volcarona and Gyarados are preferred to weaken the opponent, making Slowbro's job as an offensive Trick Room user much easier.</p>

[Other Options]

<p>There are very few other options for Slowbro. It can run a Life Orb tank set, which complements Regenerator's usefulness quite nicely, healing any excess damage from Life Orb's recoil. Slack Off and three moves are is a great example of such a set. A Calm Mind set for Slowbro is viable, and if it's pulled off successfully, it produces more power for you. However, there are many other users out there who outclasses Slowbro with Calm Mind, such as Espeon.</p>

[Checks and Counters]

<p>Despite the power and bulk Slowbro has to offer, it can still be brought down. Since Slowbro is lacking in the specially defensive side, using special attackers, such as Jolteon and Magnezone, are the best options offensive checks. Special walls, such as Jellicent, Vaporeon, Celebi and Rotom-W, can prevent Slowbro from inflicting too much damage on to the opposing team. However, the special defensive variant of Jirachi is not the best wall against Specially Defensive Jirachi may seem like a good wall to Slowbro, as but its low damage output against Slowbro and the chance of being crippled with status is not worth the hassle. Breloom is a good check to Slowbro; while it can't switch into Slowbro due to its Psychic-type attacks, Breloom can destroy Slowbro with Bullet Seed, though it needs more than two hits to OHKO Slowbro. Scizor is also a good check to Slowbro thanks to U-turn. It must be wary of Flamethrower and Fire Blast, however. Bulky setup attackers with Substitute can avoid Slowbro's status moves and proceed to set up against it, though many of them won't enjoy a hit from the Choice Specs set. Gyarados with its Substitute and Dragon Dance combo is a prime example of such this. Choice Band Tyranitar is the only Pursuit user Slowbro actually worries about, as Tyranitar can 2HKO Slowbro with Pursuit. Ferrothorn can set up on Slowbro unless it carries a Fire-type attack against it. There are many approaches on to defeating Slowbro, but as long as you have a any powerful special attacker, (RC) you won't have too much trouble taking it down. (I prefer this because it doesn't suggest that a special attacker is all you need to worry about Slowbro. After all, it can be paired with other stuff that special attackers hate.) </p>

[Overview]

<p>Slowbro is a very durable physical wall, and it achieves that role sucssesfully thanks to a sought-after ability, Regenerator, and his great defensive typing. However, Slowbro is still overlooked in the OU tier. It is extremely slow, so it cannot outspeed any notable threats besides Ferrothorn. Slowbro is also outclassed by many Water-types when it comes to team support; Jellicent is a much better option in that department.</p>

<p>However, many players have overlooked the fact that Slowbro is one of the best Fighting-type checks in the game, handling Terrakion, Keldeo, and Conkeldurr quite well. It's also an excellent physical Dragon-type check; Garchomp is completely cornered by Ice Beam, and Choice Band Kyurem-B only manages to 2HKO Slowbro with Fusion Bolt. You cannot look past Slowbro's fantastic ability in Regenerator, increasing its walling capabilities. Not only does Slowbro get a recovery move in Slack Off, it also has amazing physical bulk to back it up. Though mediocre, Slowbro's Special Defense allowscan allow it to survive a strong blow. Slowbro does not only shine on the defensive side, as its Special Attack is high enough to make use of, especially when combined with its goodamazing coverage. Slowbro can also turn its horrid Speed into a powerful weapon thanks to Trick Room. There's more: Slowbro is one of the few Psychic-types that doesn't mind taking a Pursuit from the likes of Tyranitar and Scizor. All in all, while Slowbro has some flaws, it also has many qualities that make it a great ally on a variety of teams.</p>

[SET COMMENTS]

<p>With access to an amazing ability in Regenerator, a reliable healing move in Slack Off, a great defensive typing, and a respectable Defense, Slowbro works well as a defensive wall. There are three alternatives for the third moveslot. Thunder Wave is a great option to not only cripple the opponent, abating fast, powerful Pokemon, such as Latios. If another STAB move is preferred, Psyshock or Psychic can be used. Psyshock can tear through special walls, such as Blissey, while hitting Calm Mind Keldeo, Terrakion in the sand, and Gyarados harder than any other move. However, Psychic does more damage in general, specifically having optimal coverage on Conkeldurr and Cloyster. Slack Off fills the final moveslot, acting as a useful healing move, allowing Slowbro to stay in prime condition while enhancing its ability as a defensive wall by lengthening its lifespan.</p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>Leftovers increases Slowbro's longevity. 252 EVs are placed in both Defense and HP to raise Slowbro's bulk and defensive potential. A Bold nature further enhances Slowbro's Defense stat. 19 Speed IVs forces standard Conkeldurr to outspeed Slowbro so it never takes full damage from Payback, Conkeldurr's most powerful attack against Slowbro.

Adding Heatran to these twothe mix completes a potent defensive Fire / Water / Grass core.</p>

[SET COMMENTS]

<p>Though Slowbro is widely known for its formidable bulk, it can still make use of its respectable base 100 Special Attack with Choice Specs. With the new gift of Trick in BW2, Slowbro now has the opportunity to cripple opposing walls by switching its Choice Specs to themexchanging items with the foe like Blissey.

Kinda late, but here are some changes/additions:

Overview said:

Add his great physical bulk as well.

Overview said:

Reword this as you don't know for a fact if many players do this and you have no way of knowing it. Just say that the fact that Slowbro is one of the best Fighting-type checks is often overlooked.

Also, when talking about physical Dragon-types that Slowbro handles i wouldn't mention Kyurem-B at all, as Slowbro makes for an awful Kyu-B switch-in. Kyu-B's best and most common set is the Sub set, which turns Slowbro into absolute setup bait and the other common sets of Kyu-B can all beat Slowbro with ease too, such as SpD, Band, and Scarf (Adamant Scarf 2HKOes with Outrage after SR). So instead, mention Salamence and Dragonite, as Slowbro serves as an excellent check to both, provided it carries Ice Beam.

Also, i don't like the structure of your overview. First you talk about Slowbro's pros and then you mention its cons. Then you return to talking about its pros, often repeating things you have already said before. So my advice is this; Talk about the pros/cons first, and then about whatever is left.

Set Comments of first set said:
Psyshock can tear through special walls, such as Blissey
Remove this, as it is false.

I would also like to propose that Psychic gets moved before Psyshock. Psyshock only really helps Slowbro against Terrakion in sand, which is already 2HKOed by Psychic after SR 78.52% of the time (even more often when taking crits and SpD drops into account). Slowbro doesn't really want to switch into Keldeo a lot, as Scarf 2HKOes in rain with Hydro Pump, Specs and EB variants easily 2HKO, and CM Keldeo 2HKOes as well in rain, which means that the fact that Psyshock deals with CM Keldeo is not so relevant to Slowbro. The main reason to use Psychic is to beat Conkedlur and Cloyster, two Pokemon that Slowbro perfectly counters with this move, or outright loses without it. Oh and Psyshock doesn't really help against Gyarados as Psyshock does an average of 32.5% and Psychic does an average of 30%, so the damage difference is kinda negligible. Imo, Psychic is easily the superior option, but i would like the input of more QC members.

When talking about Thunder Wave, mention how it gives to Slowbro a mean of supporting the whole team, something very important for defensive Pokemon.

AC of first set said:

This part is both repetitive and does not belong in AC, so remove it. Instead, you should add the alternatives moves that Slowbro can use in the first paragraph of AC, and in the second paragraph talk about teammates, as this is the way that the paragraphs are usually divided.

AC of first set said:
Thanks to Regenerator, you have the option to replace Slack Off for an alternative move.
Mention that Slowbro's longevity decreases significantly with this change.

AC of first set said:

Amoonguss also bears Regenerator and has nice synergy with Slowbro, forming a nice Regenerator core, with Slowbro as a physical wall and Amoonguss as a special wall. Adding Heatran with these two completes a potent defensive Fire / Water / Grass core.
As i told you again, i would advice you to make a separate paragraph about teammates. You didn't mention any of the reasons as to why Celebi is a good partner to Slowbro, only why it isn't. Also, please be more specific when talking about teammates, instead of just saying that one handles the physical side and the other the special, or that they form a FWG core. Mention what Pokemon that Slowbro has troubles with the other Pokemonc can take care of and vice versa. Also add more partners.

Set Comments of second set said:
Psyshock helps Slowbro break through special walls, and while Psychic cannot achieve this, Psychic is a stronger STAB attack that can hit the opponent consistently.
Be more specific. Against what foes Psychic helps, and remove the part about consistency as the word is misused.

Again, i would advice you to separate the paragraphs in AC like this:

- 1st paragraph

Alternative spread and moves

- 2nd paragraph

Teammates and counters

Finally, please expand on your teammates on all sets. On the Specs set you only mentioned Pokemon that benefit from Ferrothorn's absence. Mention Pokemon that have good or offensive synergy with Slowbro and cover the Pokemon that Slowbro can't. Same with he TR set.

Sorry for double posting, but I agree with alex on how it may be worth having Psychic as the first moveslot, and I was hoping for other QC's input. Sure, Psyshock helps with a few special walls, and can cause a few extra damage to certain Pokemon, but Psychic has its perks as well.

Also, I finished adding in alex's changes; added more partners to all three of the sets.

I don't understand this, really. Starting with the first one, how exactly does Slowbro stop Volcarona? Not only is Scald going to get less and less powerful as Volc uses you as set up bait, but it has STAB super-effective Bug Buzz to slap the Bro's weak SpD. All Bro can really do is paralyze it, but only after getting Buzz-smacked or set-up on. On the topic of Gliscor, Hidden Power Ice is the first slash on Amoonguss' analysis, so it shouldn't have a Gliscor problem in the first place...

There are three alternatives for the third moveslot. Thunder Wave is a great option to cripple the opponent, crippling fast, powerful Pokemon, such as Latios. It also gives to Slowbro a means of supporting the entire team. If another STAB move is preferred, Psyshock or Psychic can be used. Psyshock hits Calm Mind Keldeo, Terrakion in the sand, and Gyarados harder than any other move. However, Psychic does more damage in general, specifically having optimal coverage on Conkeldurr and Cloyster. Toxic can be used to cripple opposing walls like Hippowdon and Cresselia.

<p>Despite having a decent Special Defense stat, Slowbro would always appreciates partners who can sponge powerful special attacks for it. Blissey and Chansey are fantastic special walls that can take the special attacks for Slowbro. Celebi is a great partner for Slowbro, as it can take most of Slowbro's weaknesses, such as Electric- and Grass-type moves. Celebi shares a Bug-, Dark-, and Ghost-type weaknesses with Slowbro, so you must be wary of that. Amoonguss also bears Regenerator and has nice synergy with Slowbro, forming a nice Regenerator core, with Slowbro as a physical wall and Amoonguss as a special wall. Amoonguss can also can handle Breloom, a common OU threat to Slowbro. move 4: Trick / Ice Beam / Grass Knot
item: Choice Specs
ability: Regenerator
nature: Modest
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA

Psyshock helps Slowbro break through special walls, and while Psychic cannot achieve this, Psychic is a stronger STAB attack.

Slowbro's viable moves have mostly been covered above, though Shadow Ball is a possible alternative.</p>

<p>In this set, Slowbro is used as a bulky special attacker, and Slowbro has a plethora of coverage moves to choose from, so it doesn't particularly need any one partner in particular. Slowbro can lure Ferrothorn onto the field and defeat it with Fire Blast, so any Pokemon that benefits from having Ferrothorn removed will work well with Slowbro, such as Choice Scarf or Specs Keldeo, Double Dance Thundurus-T, and Kyurem-B being a few examples of note. When Psyshock is not used, Slowbro has difficulty defeating special walls, such as Blissey, so physical attackers, such as Terrakion and Garchomp, work well with Slowbro, defeating many special walls. Celebi can also handle Jellicent, a Pokemon that is deemed difficult for Slowbro to defeat thanks to its great bulk, while not being bothered by a Toxic or Will-O-Wisp.</p>

[SET]
name: Offensive Trick Room
move 1: Trick Room
move 2: Surf
move 3: Psyshock / Psychic
move 4: Ice Beam / Shadow Ball
item: Life Orb
ability: Regenerator
nature: Quiet
evs: 232 HP / 24 Def / 252 SpA

The final move depends on the coverage needed; Ice Beam is for Dragon-types, and Shadow Ball hits opposing Psychic-types, Starmie in particular, hard.</p>

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

<p>232 HP EVs and 24 Defense EVs balances Slowbro's bulk, letting it tank a few blows. 252 EVs in Special Attack allow Slowbro to be an offensive and fast attacker under Trick Room. Life Orb enhances Slowbro's power, and it doesn't have to worry about the recoil damage thanks to Regenerator, healing any excess damage Slowbro may have incurred. Fire Blast can also be used in the final moveslot to deal with Steel-types, specifically Ferrothorn.</p>

<p>With Slowbro's amazing coverage and a great defensive typing, it doesn't require many partners to be successful. That being said, many Trick Room sweepers appreciate being paired with Slowbro, since it can set up Trick Room for them. Examples of these sweepers are Conkeldurr, Reuniclus, and Magnezone. Ferrothorn and Forretress can be used with Slowbro as well for a more defensive route. Since Slowbro will usually come in late-game, sweepers such as Volcarona and Gyarados are preferred to weaken the opponent, making Slowbro's job as an offensive Trick Room user much easier.

A Calm Mind set for Slowbro is viable, and if it's pulled off successfully, it produces more power for you. However, there are many other users out there who outclass Slowbro with Calm Mind, particularly Espeon.</p>

[Checks and Counters]

<p>Despite the power and bulk Slowbro has to offer, it can still be brought down. Since Slowbro is lacking in the Special Defense department, special attackers, such as Jolteon and Magnezone, are the best offensive checks. Special walls, such as Jellicent, Vaporeon, Celebi, and Rotom-W, can prevent Slowbro from inflicting too much damage to the opposing team. Specially defensive Jirachi may seem like a good wall to Slowbro, but its low damage output against Slowbro and the chance of being crippled with status is not worth the hassle. It must be wary of Flamethrower or Fire Blast, however. Bulky setup attackers with Substitute can avoid Slowbro's status moves and proceed to set up against it, though many of them won't enjoy a hit from the Choice Specs set. Gyarados with its Substitute and Dragon Dance combo is a prime example of this. Choice Band Tyranitar is the only Pursuit user Slowbro actually worries about, as Tyranitar can 2HKO Slowbro with Pursuit. Ferrothorn can set up on Slowbro unless it carries a Fire-type attack. There are many approaches to defeating Slowbro, but any powerful special attacker won't have too much trouble taking it down.</p>

there has to be a real purpose to the 232/24 spread on the OTR set; if it's for a LO number or something just say that. it's most definitely not for "being able to tank attacks"

Thank you, Oglemi. If this isn't anything else that needs to be done about this, then it's ready to go on-site.

Overview said:
However, Slowbro has many lackluster stats
Stats? The only lackluster stat that Slowbro has is its Speed so you should change the phrase to something such as ''Slowbro has many flaws''. Excpet of 'course if with stats you don't mean Pokemon's stats, but still the word stat means statistics, which again doesn't make sense.

I talked with the QC team and we agreed that Psychic should go before Psyshock on the first set, so do this please.

On the first's set AC, when talking about Heatran as a teammate, mention how it also handles Latios and Latias, two Pokemon that are problematic for Slowbro. Also remove Magnezone from the list of Pokemon that threaten Slowbro and Heatran can deal with, as Heatran is not particularly good in dealing with Magnezone.

On the Specs set, when talking about Psychic, mention that its main appeal is its ability to beat Conkeldurr, a Pokemon that Slowbro counters.

Spec's AC said:
Slowbro's viable moves have mostly been covered above, though Shadow Ball is a possible alternative.
The first part is unecessary and should be removed, and if you are going to put Shadow Ball in the AC, at least explain why. Add Flamethrower here too, for people that really hate missing.

On the AC of the Specs set, add partners to handle Latios and especially CM Latias, which walls Slobwor and sets up on it.

Set Comments of Trick Room said:
Shadow Ball hits opposing Psychic-types, Starmie in particular, hard.
Shadow Ball's main targets are Jellicent and Starmie, but it still covers some of Ice Beam's targets, such as Latios, Latias, and Celebi, so reword the sentence to include what i said.

Also add in the set comments of the main set that thanks to Regenerator Slowbro is one of the few Trick Room sweepers that can useful in the whole game, due to its ability to act as a pivot and hit and run attacker.

On the AC of the Trick Room set. If you are going to suggest a defensive Trick Room spread then also add that Life Orb should be replaced with Leftovers.

With Slowbro's amazing coverage and a great defensive typing, it doesn't require many partners to be successful.
Remove this sentence as it is both false and irrelevant. Why does it matter so much if Slowbro has a great defensive typying if it is taking an offensive role. Slowbro greatly depends on its teammates as there are many Pokemon that can wall it, such as Jellicent, Celebi, Latias, Ferrothorn, and Kyurem-B. And please when mentioning teammates, add some reasoning as to why you chose them instead of saying generic stuff. For example, what is the reason for picking Forrretress and Ferrothorn as teammates aside from their low Speed, which alone is never a good reason to pick a Pokemon. You can keep the mentions of Conkeldurr, Magnezone, and Reuniclus, as all of them help Slowbro against the Pokemon that it has troubles with and can take advantage of Trick Room, but please explain this. Explain how Magnezone can remove Ferrothorn and make it easier for Slowbro to sweep, explain how Conkeldurr can get past Ferrothorn, Celebi, Jellicent (especially the Flame Orb set) and finally how Reuniclus is another excellent TR sweeper that can clean up after Slowbro weakens the opposition. You also mentioned Volcarona and Gyrados as teammates, just because they are sweepers that hit hard, so please either elaborate if those Pokemon have indeed good synergy with Slowbro or just remove them and mention other Pokemon.

I got to go now, so i may provide some corrections for the checks and counters section which i didn't managed to read, but the basic stuff to keep in mind is that whenever you mention teammates you gotta explain why you pick them, and not with generic reason but with really specific reasoning. The teammates you pick should have great synergy with the Pokemon in question, not just work fine with it.

Implemented the changes, and thank you for the advice, alexwolf. I'm changing this back to copyediting so that alex can look at the C&C.

A Calm Mind set for Slowbro is viable, and if it's pulled off successfully, it produces more power for you. However, there are many other users out there who outclass Slowbro with Calm Mind, particularly Espeon.
This is very, VERY awkwardly worded. The phrasing I used in the skeleton does not translate well to the prose of the analysis. That being said, Espeon isn't a terribly good Calm Mind user, either. Mono-Psychic typing isn't very good, Jirachi and Latias are infinitely better Calm Mind users. Try this:

"Slowbro can run a Calm Mind set, but he needs several boosts to have a chance of sweeping, giving more time for a powerful attacker to come in and cripple Slowbro, and is outclassed for the most part by Jirachi and Latias as a bulky boosting sweeper."

When constructing the checks and counters section a general rule is that you mention the Pokemon in order of importance, which means that you first mention the best counters, the second best counters, best checks, second best checks, etc.

With this in mind, the biggest counters to Slowbro in OU are definitely Celebi, Chansey, Blissey, and Gastrodon. Those Pokemon don't care about anything defensive Slowbro can do and beat it one on one. Other counters include Latias, Latios, Amoonguss, Starmie, Rotom-W, and Jellicent (beats Slowbro 1-on-1 due to Taunt if it avoids paralysis on the switch and beats it regardless if it has Shadow Ball or Toxic).

As for checks, Thundurus-T, Jolteon, Ferrothorn, defensive Politoed with Toxic, Sub Kyu-B, Sub Kyurem, Toxic Tentacruel in rain, and SubCM Jirachi, Hydreigon, Poison Heal Breloom, Ninetales, and Venusaur are all good checks.

Finally, everything that can seriously hurt Slowbro but cannot really switch into is a good revenge killer.

Also move Psychock to the AC on the first set and we are considering making Psychic the main slash on the first set too, so wait up a bit more. Sorry for telling you this after writing the set but there were some stuff that we hadn't considered before...

Ok, thank you Alex, added in all the changes, and added Psyshock to AC. And nah, it's all good, it happens. I'll just leave this be until the decision is made whether to have Psychic as the primary slash.

Ty Alex, made the change. Is there anything else that needs to be fixed before this can be considered done?
