So it no longer has the Ice Shell ability thing? ):
I voted CyzirVisheen. That bug looks awesome. It has Ice Shell right?
What's ice shell? I missed the first few polls.
I could've sworn it has Compoundeyes, but if it does have Ice Shell, then Deck Knight's movelist would be better, except it still wants Charge Beam and Focus Punch at least. It has gigantic arms (don't say Scizor or Exploud) and two blasters to boot. Charge Beam/Focus Punch/Ice Beam/X-Scissor would be pretty awesome imo.
What's ice shell?
I think more people would go with Ice Shell than Compound Eyes. They both won though.
Ice Shell grants immunity to all rock moves(including SR)
Only upon switching in.
Thats really broken. It should have that ability that other bugs like venonat have that lets you hit every type neutral or intimidate.
Hmmm, given Junior's suggestion to have more flying attacks, maybe Air Slash (breed Yanmega/Scizor) over Charge Beam.
Compoundeyes Charge Beam seems alright. I didn't remove Focus Blast and I changed CC from level to Superpower breed. Superpower is less abusable than Close Combat. Compoundeyes Air Slash though... hmm. Well' it's unSTABed in any event.
I was having difficulty seeing Focus Punch since its arms remind me a lot more of Scyther/Scizor than Pinsir/Heracross.
Night Slash/Focus Blast/Blizzard/X-Scissor would work pretty well too.
Taking your changes in mind, I'd take Superpower/[Ice Beam/Blizzard]/[X-Scissor/U-Turn]/HP Electric. Since Thunderpunch and Superpower is illegal, HP Electric replaces it. HP Electric hurts stuff like Gyarados, who would otherwise Intimidate this set and then move to Blissey for further walling.
Jibaku's movelist seems to have too many TM's. It had 56 by my count. Tyranitar has 57, which is really obscene. Clefable, who is known for having one of the most diverse movepools in the game, has 53 TM's. For comparison, Scyther has only 33, Froslass has 41, and Heracross has 37. This is by no means comprehensive. I just took some bug and ice sweepers and counted their TM's. OTOH, Weavile had 51 TM's, which was surprising. My point is that 56 TM's seems like a lot. Ultimately, it depends on WHICH TM's we pick. But assuming we don't just stack entirely battle-worthy TM's, perhaps we should limit the TM's to the 30-35 range? At the most, 40 or so.
As for Megahorn, Cyzir worked to build a horn into the design. You can see the design study here:
I'm not actually an advocate of Megahorn, but it was factored into the design.
How would it have any illegal combinations? With these egg groups, it can breed with Smeargle. It's in the ground group too.
I'm glad people liked my addition ^_^
EDIT; Oooo, I want in on the moveset action, hold on a sec
I voted JSC.
The other one just looks too sloppy for me, and even if it was touched up, I couldn't see it as a pokemon.
JSC's as a sprite if anyone wants to see it:
Minimizing it doesn't make it a sprite lol. Thats called a low resolution picture.
Look at the ones Lawman and friends made. Even though its a fusion, thats whats considered a sprite.
I didn't minimize it, I used the minimized version for a base.
It does look a bit too detailed though. I love how the wings came out. I had to completely redo them.
At least mine doesn't look like the retarded child of Metang and Scizor. The one they did looked more like Ice/Steel than Ice/Bug.
EDIT: Fucking hell, no wonder. I uploaded the unfinished version... and deleted the finished one. .-.
EDIT2: Here is the finished one.
I used Jibaku's as a base, but made some minor edits:
Heart Scale moves:
Lvl 1: Twineedle
Lvl 1: Leer
Lvl 7: Ice Shard
Lvl 9: Focus Energy
Lvl 14: Fury Cutter
Lvl 21: Take Down
Lvl 29: Icy Wind
Lvl 36: X-Scissor
Lvl 43: Detect
Lvl 51: Ice Beam
Lvl 60: Close Combat
- Baton Pass
- Bug Buzz
TM10: Hidden Power
TM13: Ice Beam
TM15: Hyper Beam
TM18: Rain Dance
TM31: Brick Break
TM32: Double Team
TM39: Rock Tomb
TM40: Aerial Ace
TM43: Secret Power
TM47: Steel Wing
TM54: False Swipe
TM62: Silver Wind
TM65: Shadow Claw
TM68: Giga Impact
TM75: Swords Dance
TM80: Rock Slide
TM82: Sleep Talk
TM83: Natural Gift
TM84: Poison Jab
HM06: Rock Smash
Is it decent?
I prefer cyzir's
And I can and will gladly make the sprite, I just need to get the drawing of the pose you want the creature and consider it done.
Hey! People who dislike Megahorn! Attack Order exists. Nice compromise and Cyzir designed this thing as an ant. I think we can give it all of the orders, since it would be an offensive version of Vespiquen. Hm... A use for male Combees?
Moves I would like to see show up:
Attack Order / Megahorn / U-Turn / Bug Buzz / Silver Wind / Bug Bite / Pin Missile (How does this do X-Scissor?)
Blizzard / Ice Beam / Icicle Spear / Ice Punch / Icy Wind (duh)
Earthquake (it might not be feasible even though it makes for great type coverage)
Super Power / Brick Break (I don't like Close Combat, it seems too much of a must kill Blissey move, Super Power at least nerfs the other attacks afterwards.)
Thunder / Thunderbolt / Charge Beam / Spark (It actually looks really appropriate on Cyzir's design, as much as I dislike the idea).
Wing Attack / Sky Attack / Air Slash (This thing has wings that are definitely large enough for Sky Attack)
Those are the core movepool I would want. I included weaker moves just to show the type of move I am going for. These would all be TMs or level up moves, excluding Megahorn, Close Combat, and the Flying moves which would be Egg moves.
Other potential Egg Moves I would like (might be overpowering):
Toxic Spikes / Spikes from Forretress (come on)
Rapid Spin from Forretress (makes for a really cool design, but this might just become too good at that point)
Hypnosis from Yanmega (just barely considering it, I would prefer to leave this one out)
Counter / Megahorn from Heracross (why not?)
Revenge / Super Power from Pinsir (Only way to get this)
Growth / Tail Glow from Illumise / Volbeat (haha, just Growth would be amazing)
Crunch / Earth Power from Trapinch (yah, I'm getting really random now)
Okay, that is just the basis of the actual useful moves. Moves I seen that look like useful filler moves are Screech and Harden, maybe Iron Defense. Yay useless moves!
Sorry for causing all the off topicness.
CyzirVisheen's looks too sci-fi. Something that came out of AlienVsPredator. Doesnt seem that it could really fit in with the rest of the pokemon easily.
Of course it can fit in with the rest of the Pokemon. It has a Venomoth head, Beedrill stinger, and Metang arms all colored blue with ice crystals for wings. ._.
It isn't really off topic since the next thing to come up is movepool.
Bug Bite/Silver Wind/Bug Buzz/X-Scissor/Attack Order
Ice Shard/Icy Wind/Ice Beam/Blizzard
Slash/Shadow Claw/Night Slash
Brick Break/Superpower/Focus Blast
I'd be willing to entertain Rock Tomb/Slide, Air Slash, (possibly Stone Edge) and Earthquake, but Thunder/bolt are non-negotiable. I just don't see it. Only Volbeat and Illumise get Tbolt and Charge Beam and the like, and "it haz arm cannons" doesn't cut it. Magmortar and Rhyperior both have "arm cannons" and neither can Charge Beam. Mortar's Tbolt likely doesn't come from them either, and Rhyhorn of all things got Thunderbolt, before it was even bipedal. I'm not giving Boltbeam to something with 114 SA and 121 Speed, it's irresponsible, especially if it has Compoundeyes. This thing shouldn't get auto-kill on Skarmory and Gyarados in addition to all the other things it can do.
Now I don't mind Thunderpunch breed from Ampharos (and by extention learning Ice Punch somehow), and could live with Focus Punch, but I'm heavily against Thunderbolt/Thunder. We've already given this 555 Base Stats and immunity to SR. Quite frankly, giving it the best support moves the game has to offer is ridiculous, whether it can use them effectively or not. Bug/Ice doesn't scream "OMG IT CAN SHOOT OUT POISONED SPIKES AND BLOW THEM AWAY BY SPINNING AND USE THUNDER WAVE TOO, HEY, LETS GIVE IT SPORE!"
This is quite strong as it is, I'm just trying to keep it useful but not broken.
No Thunder or TBolt for this guy. Way too strong. Air Slash looks plausible.
