Arena effects: Lickitung is running around (2 actions)

... you know, I was expecting more action. Tyrant the Nidorino just creates a Double Team while Dominos' Will-O-Wisp doesn't even hit Tyrant or his clones or even the Lickitung that's running all over the place. Suddenly, it looks like it's going to get better with Dominos unleashing a Sneaky Shadowy Ice Punch, but the Nidorino effortlessly Protects himself and his clones from that attack. Then the two pokemon Chill and cool down. Honestly, the Lickitung was more entertaining than the battle! What does Onion_Bubs think?

<~Onion_Bubs> I give Double Team an 8 out of 10 right now.

Well that's nice and all, but I'm feeling the need for some action. Time for a change of venue!

Onion_Bubs' ratings: Bounce (3/10), Dodge (4/10), Lava Plume (5/10), Giga Drain (9/10), Chill (6/10), Double Team (8/10)

Tyrant uses Double Team for 12 energy
Tyrant creates 3 illusory clones

Dominos uses Will-O-Wisp for 7 energy
Roll a D100 for accuracy: 97 - miss

Dominos takes 3 Leech Seed damage
Tyrant restores 0 HP
The Lickitung counter drops to 1

Dominos uses a combo of Shadow Sneak and Ice Punch for ((4+6)*1.5)=15 energy
Roll a D10 for target (1 = Lickitung): 6 - Tyrant
Tyrant would take (8+4/2+(4-1)*1.5)=14.5 damage

Tyrant protects itself from the attack

The Lickitung counter drops to 0

Roll a D5 for rated move (1 = Double Team, 2 = Will-O-Wisp, 3 = Protect, 4 = Shadow Sneak, 5 = Ice Punch): 1 - Double Team

New arena

Creeper World (and not the Minecraft kind)

Sushi-Go-Round is gone, Lickitung is gone, but Onion_Bubs is still here.

The arena is now a deserted planet that has fallen victim to this deadly blue liquid called creeper. The arena contains no rocks and grass and the creeper is too dangerous to use as a water source.

Right now, the creeper is starting to flow over the natural walls around the arena. After one round, it will creep onto the battlefield and start to damage the pokemon at a rate of 2 DPA. This damage increases by 2 DPA at the end of each round thereafter. Fire-type moves, however, can destroy some of the creeper, lowering the creeper's DPA by 2 for fire-type moves with a BAP less than 8, and 4 for fire-type moves with a BAP of 8 or more, to a minimum of 0. Non-damaging fire-type moves don't have any effect on the creeper.

King Serperior, you're up now.

Creeper? Jeez, that doesn't sound healthy >.>

Ok, Nidorino, let's start like this: Poison Point = off!!

Hone Claws - Head Smash - Poison Jab
Sub: if Head Smash misses A2, try again on A3
Sub2: If Shadow Sneak on A3 and Head Smash Doesn't miss on A2, use Sucker Punch.

Let's troll some more Dusclops.

Will-o-Wisp~Protect~Night Shade
If Will-o-Wisp misses, use it again A3

Now that we've put the pokemon in a much more dangerous situation, maybe we'll see some action. Tyrant looks promising as he chooses to Hone Claws. That ought to help him do more damage. But then suddenly he is hit by Dominos' Will-O-Wisp, and it was the real Tyrant that got burned. That's going to hurt. Then Dominos Protects himself as Tyrant charges into him with the intent of Head Smashing him into oblivion. The Nidorino lands a Poison Jab quickly afterwards while the Dusclops returns fire with a Night Shade attack.

And now here it is. The thick, blue creeper has made it over the walls of the arena and is pouring in rapidly. While we watch the pokemon try to hang on for as long as possible, let's hear what Onion_Bubs has to say.

<~Onion_Bubs> I give Hone Claws a 5 out of 10 right now.

Tyrant is fed up of Dominos and tries to finish him off as quickly as possible with an Ice Beam. This isn't enough and Dominos lands another Night Shade attack before the creeper starts to take its toll on both pokemon. Dominos uses a Fire Punch to clear the creeper surrounding the two pokemon, but Tyrant is not grateful for this and strikes Dominos' weak spot twice: first with a Thunderbolt and then with an Ice Beam. The Dusclops is knocked out just before the creeper starts to flow back in. And in the midst of this chaos, what does Onion_Bubs have to say?

<~Onion_Bubs> I give Thunderbolt a 1 out of 10 right now.

Onion_Bubs does not like Thunderbolt.

Maxim automatically sends out Calculus the Magneton, then it's King Serperior to order first.

Well, Tyrant, it looks like the end of the line for us. That rank 6 Sp.Atk is frightning O_o

Dig - Water Pulse - Dig
Sub: If Bide is used, change all actions to Chill - Double team (1 Clone) - Chill, starting on the action Bide is used.

Well, luckily we're faster than he is Magneton, so let's finish this match and go home.

Supersonic~Discharge~Discharge.

Note to Maxim: Magneton is a genderless species. Also, since it has 5/5 DC, I'm pretty sure its DW ability is not locked (not that it makes a difference with those orders).

Whoa! Straight out of the pokeball, Calculus disorients Tyrant with a Supersonic attack, but Tyrant still manages to Dig underground and strike Calculus from below. However, the Nidorino's burn makes the attack surprisingly weak. Suddenly, Tyrant is hit by an electric Discharge, which snaps him out of confusion and prompts him to retaliate with a Water Pulse. This blast of water disorients the Magneton just like the earlier supersonic wave did! I'm getting disoriented just trying to keep up with this! But Calculus pulls off a second Discharge just before Tyrant Digs again and strikes from underground. Whew! Onion_Bubs, help me out here!

<~Onion_Bubs> I give Dig a 3 out of 10 right now.

The onion has spoken! No more digging! Maybe he has a thing against damaging evasive moves?

Note to Maxim: Magneton is a genderless species. Also, since it has 5/5 DC, I'm pretty sure its DW ability is not locked (not that it makes a difference with those orders).

Maxim, you're up now.

Alright, I get your point about magneton's speed not actually helping me, but what's Magneton's gender have to do with anything? Rivalry?

That's not so much for this battle, rather for when someone else uses Attract with a female pokemon (since they removed the egg group thing from that).

Calculus fires a blinding Mirror Shot at Tyrant, almost bringing him to his knees. Tyrant's Water Pulse somehow lands on a vulnerable area on Calculus, but as the burn and creeper take their toll on him, it proves to be too little too late. Team Maxim wins! And with that, all the pokemon and their trainers and Onion_Bubs leave my mind at the mercy of the creeper. C'mon Objection, think of a happy place, think of a happy place ...
