QC 1/3 (CKW)
GP 0/2

[OVERVIEW]

- decently bulky offensive steel with interesting coverage options that lets it beat all other steels
- makes for an ok scarfer as it resists bullet punch and extreme speed, can revenge kill stuff like lucario and deoxys-a easily
- can be a webs based sweeper with z-splash, but lucario is generally better at this
- can be a check to fairy-types, albeit shaky - powerful coverage from them will win the duel
- pretty easily walled by defensive walls like support arcs, lugia, and big boss
- has recovery which is rare for a steel, but is unable to really make use of it
- defensive sets are too passive to warrant usage

[SET]
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Sunsteel Strike
move 2: Flare Blitz
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: Stone Edge
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Full Metal Body
nature: Adamant
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

- sunsteel has a pretty good chance to ohko offensive xern, guaranteed after sr
- flare blitz wrecks opposing steels that would want to absorb sunsteel (ferro, celesteela, skarmory)
- earthquake mainly targets pdon and does at least 40, but also hits rarer fire-types like mega blaze
- stone edge is mainly for ho-oh, as it resists every other move. it does hit flying-types like yveltal and rayquaza harder than sunsteel strike
- toxic is an option to help against support arceus + lugia

Set Details
========

- max/max
- scarf cuz revenge killing tends to require being faster
- full metal body is somewhat useful against intimidate salamence and landorus-t as well as vs sticky webs

Usage Tips
========

- its a scarfer, revenge kill faster + frail things that the team might struggle with like lucario or deo-a
- bring tissues (alternatively, toxic) vs any defensive wall on balance/stall
- gotta be full to actually be safe against geo xern's coverage options
- or any coverage options, this set has no bulk
- solg is weak to shadow sneak, so be careful when trying to revenge kill marshadow or gira-o

Team Options
========

- its an offensive steel scarfer for offensive teams, bring wallbreakers
- pdon
- rayquaza
- marshadow
- salamence
- xerneas
- yveltal

[SET]
name: Z-Splash
move 1: Sunsteel Strike
move 2: Splash
move 3: Flare Blitz / Flame Charge
move 4: Earthquake / Stone Edge
item: Normalium Z
ability: Full Metal Body
nature: Adamant
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

- repetition is lame
- flame charge boosts speed and does similar damage to an unboosted flare blitz when at +3, helps vs revenge killers - use if not on webs
- splash is sadly the boosting move with normalium z and boosts solg to +3. pokemon has come a long way

Set Details
========

- max/max
- normalium z is for z-splash
- full metal body comes in handy if webs are ever bounced back, but its also good vs intimidate

Usage Tips
========

- sweeper/cleaner. save till later and trap/kill the numerous physical walls or ho-ohs that wall this set
- if the mon can take a +3 attack you probably shouldnt have set up on it or around it
- ideally this set doesn't want to be taking hits, but it can deal with resists or defensive steel-types prior to setup
- realize that due to splash taking a slot, solg will lack coverage against something annoying. deal with whatever it is first.
- using this set outside of webs is very difficult as it can lead to needing 2 turns of setup to be safe against things like arceus-ground (this doesn't happen)

Team Options
========

- webswebswebs (smeargle, shuckle)
- salamence
- sd arceus-ground or other sd arcs
- cm or sr arceus-fairy is also a possibility
- kyogre (cm, specs, physical)
- yveltal / rayquaza

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Morning Sun
* Zen Headbutt (Psychic Terrain)
* Specially Defensive (Sunsteel Strike / Flare Blitz | Earthquake / Morning Sun / Toxic)
* Wild Charge
* Choice Band

Checks and Counters
===================

**Physical Walls*: Zygarde-C, Arceus-Water/Dark/Ground, Lugia, Giratina(O)

**Mega Gengar**: can trap and revenge kill

**Primal Groudon**: takes very little from most of solg's moves. earthquake does a decent chunk but it will be forced out the first time around due to the threat of pdon's stabs

**Ho-Oh**: sets without stone edge deal zero damage to ho-oh.

**Primal Kyogre**: solg does 40 with eq, but kyogre does 100 with origin pulse
