Arceus
Normal
120 / 120 / 120 / 120 / 120 / 120
Ability: Multitype
Notable additions: Fake Out, Boomburst, Techno Blast, Belly Drum, Shell Smash, Glare
Although I don't think
The Eevee General ever had an official judgment (heh) on Arceus, I'm operating on the assumption that it gets only the Normal movepool (because fuck the alternative). Arceus boasts the ability to be a powerful Belly Drummer or Shell Smasher of any type of its choosing, among other things, essentially making it versatility incarnate. It can't use Judgment for coverage, unlike other Normal-types, as Judgment will always be STAB, and only Normal Arceus can use Techno Blast for coverage, but Arceus has most of the coverage options it could possibly want anyways.
Blaziken and Mega Blaziken
Fire / Fighting
80 / 120 / 70 / 110 / 70 / 80 (Normal)
80 / 160 / 80 / 130 / 80 / 100 (Mega)
Abilities: Blaze / Speed Boost / Speed Boost (Mega)
Notable additions: Sacred Fire, V-create, Drain Punch, Mach Punch, Sacred Sword, Blue Flare, Eruption, Fiery Dance, Secret Sword, Vacuum Wave
Continuing to prove that Speed is the most important stat in the game, Blaziken and its Mega Evolution have a few new tricks up their sleeve. Most notable is the powerful V-create, which Blaziken can spam more freely than any Fire-type, as Speed Boost negates the Speed drops. Special Blaziken also becomes much more viable, using Fiery Dance to acquire boosts alongside Speed Boost and Secret Sword to get past special walls.
Darkrai
Dark
70 / 90/ 90 / 135 / 90 / 125
Ability: Bad Dreams
Notable additions: Night Daze, Parting Shot, Memento
Darkrai doesn't gain much from STABmons, already possessing the holy grail of Dark moves in its signature Dark Void, but that isn't to say it isn't effective. With high speed and SpA, Parting Shot, Dark Void, and maybe Memento, Darkrai makes an excellent offensive pivot in the veins of Weavile, specifically tying with Weavile for the title of fastest non-Prankster Dark-type.
Deoxys-N and Deoxys-A
Psychic
50 / 150 / 50 / 150 / 50 / 150 (Normal)
50 / 180 / 20 / 180 / 20 / 150 (Attack)
Ability: Pressure
Notable additions: Psystrike, Healing Wish
Deoxys-N continues to be irrelevant in the wake of Deoxys-A, who picks up Psystrike as a "mixed" STAB and a fast Healing Wish.
Dialga
Steel / Dragon
100 / 120 / 120 / 150 / 100 / 90
Ability: Pressure / Telepathy
Notable additions: Bullet Punch, Gear Grind, Doom Desire, Spacial Rend, Shift Gear, King's Shield
Doesn't gain much beyond a powerful Doom Desire and a possible Shift Gear set.
Genesect
Bug / Steel
71 / 120 / 95 / 120 / 95 / 99
Ability: Download
Notable additions: Megahorn, Bullet Punch, Gear Grind, Doom Desire, Quiver Dance, Tail Glow, Shift Gear, Powder, Sticky Web, King's Shield
Genesect gains a huge variety of new roles to take on in STABmons. Physical sweeper (Shift Gear), special sweeper (Quiver Dance), wallbreaker (Tail Glow + Doom Desire), support (Sticky Web + King's Shield), all of them potentially boosted further by Download, and this is all in addition to its previous roles, which are largely still effective and boosted by stronger STABs. How does a +2/+2 Shift Gear, +2/+1/+1 Quiver Dance, or +4 Tail Glow sound?
+4 252 SpA Life Orb Genesect Doom Desire vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Eviolite Chansey: 538-633 (76.4 - 89.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Mega Gengar
Ghost / Poison
60 / 65 / 80 / 170 / 95 / 130
Ability: Shadow Tag
Notable additions: Sludge Wave, Toxic Spikes, Venom Drench
Mega Gengar is still hugely valuable for the combination of Shadow Tag, high SpA and Speed, and Destiny Bond, allowing it to assassinate key targets on the opposing team. It can also set up some speedy Toxic Spikes on a trapped opponent, and is probably the only mon that can effectively abuse Venom Drench, acting something like Tickle Wobbuffet by weakening its victim and then switching to something that can set up on it.
Giratina-A and Giratina-O
Ghost / Dragon
150 / 100 / 120 / 100 / 120 / 90 (Alternate)
150 / 120 / 100 / 120 / 100 / 90 (Origin)
Abilities: Pressure / Telepathy / Levitate (Origin)
Notable additions: Spacial Rend, Dragon Dance
Unfortunately members of two of the most barren types STABmons-wise, they can at least make for viable Dragon Dancers.
Groudon
Ground
100/150/140/100/90/90
Ability: Drought
Notable additions: Bonemerang,
Thousand Arrows (unreleased), Spikes
Groudon unfortunately has to wait for the release of Thousand Arrows for a big boost. Beyond that, its most notable addition is the ability to set up Spikes.
Ho-Oh
Fire / Flying
106 / 130 / 90 / 110 / 154 / 90
Abilities: Pressure / Regenerator
Notable additions: V-create, Acrobatics, Blue Flare, Fiery Dance, Magma Storm, Mystical Fire, Searing Shot, Oblivion Wing
Already had its signature Sacred Fire, and brings a powerful V-create to the table as well as an alternative Flying STAB in Acrobatics. May even attempt to go special with the excellent Oblivion Wing and various Fire-types options.
Mega Kangaskhan
Normal
105 / 125 / 100 / 60 / 100 / 100
Ability: Parental Bond
Notable additions: Extreme Speed, Super Fang, Belly Drum, Shell Smash, Glare, Recover
This thing. This thing is probably the most broken thing ever. Due to the mechanics behind Parental Bond, Super Fang will always (
always!) leave its target at 25% health at most, while Seismic Toss will always (
always!) deal 200 damage, and it does this completely independent of it or its opponents stats, allow it to invest in bulk instead. Outside of the immune Ghost-types, the only mons who can possibly survive this combo are faster mons with recovery (who must still deal with a STAB Extreme Speed) and Blissey, who barely sneaks by on Leftovers recovery. And in the end, Blissey has no business taking on Mega Kangaskhan anyways, as it is also an extremely powerful physical sweeper with either Belly Drum or Shell Smash. Parental Bond effectively gives it a Sub-breaking Choice Band that can switch moves, combined with STAB Extreme Speed, Power-Up Punch (60 BP Fighting coverage and Swords Dance combined), and Crunch or Sucker Punch to get past Ghost-types.
Kyogre
Water
100 / 100 / 90 / 150 / 140 / 90
Ability: Drizzle
Notable additions: Water Shuriken,
Steam Eruption (unreleased)
Kyogre stands as the uber who probably gained the least from STABmons, only maybe appreciating a rain-boosted Water Shuriken and having to wait for Steam Eruption. That doesn't make it any less of a powerhouse, however, still being the centerpiece of rain teams and perhaps teaming up with Palkia for a Water Spout spam core.
Kyurem-W
Dragon / Ice
125 / 120 / 90 / 170 / 100 / 95
Ability: Turboblaze
Notable additions: Ice Shard, Icicle Crash, Spacial Rend, Freeze-Dry, Dragon Dance
Not many gains here. It can now attempt mixed sets à la Kyurem-B, and has some slight improvement in special STABs. While a Dragon Dance set may seem overshadowed by Kyurem-B, it's access to a much stronger Draco Meteor can make a mixed DD set feasible.
Mega Lucario
Fighting / Steel
70 / 145 / 88 / 140 / 70 / 112
Ability: Adaptability
Notable additions: Drain Punch, Sacred Sword, Gear Grind, Secret Sword, Doom Desire, Shift Gear, King's Shield
Mega Lucario is arguably the best Gear Shifter in the game, with naturally high stats and powerful Adaptability boosted High Jump Kicks and Gear Grinds, backed up by various sorts of priority. Special Mega Lucario is no slouch either, its unboosted Doom Desire being the strongest in the game and Secret Sword hitting those special walls trying to soak it up.
And of course, Mega Lucario is still the only viable user of a special priority move in Adaptability Vacuum Wave. Oblivion Wing Shell Smash Talonflame says hi
Mewtwo, Mega Mewtwo X, and Mega Mewtwo Y
Psychic / Fighting (Mega X)
106 / 110 / 90 / 154 / 90 / 130 (Normal)
106 / 190 / 100 / 154 / 100 / 130 (Mega X)
106 / 150 / 70 / 194 / 120 / 140 (Mega Y)
Abilities: Pressure / Unnerve / Steadfast (Mega X) / Insomnia (Mega Y)
Notable additions: Psycho Boost, Stored Power, Cosmic Power, Healing Wish
The original uber doesn't really gain all that much to work with in STABmons. Psycho Boost is available as a powerful wallbreaker, and I imagine Mega Mewtwo X in particular will appreciate it for mixed sets. Beyond that its most notable gain is a fast Healing Wish.
Lugia
Psychic / Flying
106 / 90 / 130 / 90 / 154 / 110
Abilities: Pressure / Multiscale
Notable additions: Psystrike, Stored Power, Oblivion Wing, Cosmic Power, Healing Wish, Heart Swap
Boasts the incredible combination of Oblivion Wing and Multiscale (only shared with the significantly less bulky Dragonite), making it ridiculously hard to take down. This and Psystrike make Calm Mind sets a force to be reckoned with. Meanwhile, its colossal bulk allows it effectively use Healing Wish or Heart Swap. Heart Swap is particularly important, as Lugia can handily tank hits from most special Shell Smashers / Geomancers, Heart Swap them, and then recover back up to Multiscale territory with a now boosted Oblivion Wing.
Palkia
Water / Dragon
90 / 120 / 100 / 150 / 120 / 100
Ability: Pressure / Telepathy
Notable additions: Crabhammer, Water Shuriken,
Steam Eruption (unreleased), Water Spout, Dragon Dance
Biggest gains here are a powerful Water Spout (with better Speed than Kyogre - Spout-spam inc?) and a possible Dragon Dance set.
Porygon-Z
Normal
85 / 80 / 70 / 135 / 75 / 90
Abilities: Adaptability / Download / Analytic
Notable additions: Extreme Speed, Boomburst, Shell Smash
The more controversial of the recent bans, Porygon-Z is nonetheless a force to be reckoned with. With Adaptability giving it the most powerful Boomburst in the game, Shadow Ball to give it near perfect coverage, Shell Smash to boost them further, and the 4th slot up for grabs between Adaptability Extreme Speed to ward off revenge killers or Fist Plate Judgment for perfect coverage, Porygon-Z can run roughshod through the meta. I would advise against its old Fake Out sets though, as it likely lacks the the power to be as effective in the much bulkier ubers meta.
Rayquaza
Dragon / Flying
105 / 150 / 90 / 150 / 90 / 95
Ability: Air Lock
Notable additions: Acrobatics, Brave Bird, Aeroblast, Oblivion Wing, Defog, Roost
Rayquaza finally gets to put its dual-STAB to use, on both ends of the spectrum (although Air Lock hilariously neuters Hurricane).
Reshiram
Dragon / Fire
100 / 120 / 100 / 150 / 120 / 90
Ability: Turboblaze
Notable additions: Sacred Fire, V-create, Spacial Rend, Eruption, Fiery Dance, Magma Storm, Mystical Fire, Searing Shot, Dragon Dance
Not much beyond expanded STAB options and mixed with V-create. While a Dragon Dance set is mostly outclassed by Mega Charizard X, Reshiram does crucially get Draco Meteor for a mixed DD set.
Shaymin-S
Grass / Flying
100 / 103 / 75 / 120 / 75 / 127
Ability: Serene Grace
Notable additions: Leaf Tornado, Aeroblast, Hurricane, Oblivion Wing, Spiky Shield, Spore, Stun Spore, Defog, Roost
Here to annoy the shit out of you in even more wonderful ways. Shaymin-S boasts the fastest non-Prankster Spore in town and a great selection of Serene Grace boosted STABs, be it Seed Flare (80% -2 SpD), Leaf Tornado (100% -1 Acc), Air Slash (60% Flinch), or Hurricane (60% Confusion). It also gets a fast Stun Spore - often overlooked in favor of Spore, Shaymin-S can abuse it far more than the average Grass-type by combining it with Air Slash (Paraflinch), Hurricane (Parafusion), Leaf Tornado (Paramiss), or maybe Leaf Tornado and Air Slash (Paramissflinch) or Leaf Tornado and Hurricane (Paramissfusion)?
Sylveon
Fairy (+Normal via Eevee)
95 / 65 / 65 / 110 / 130 / 60
Ability: Cute Charm / Pixilate
Notables additions: Extreme Speed, Rapid Spin, Boomburst, Judgment, Geomancy, Shell Smash, Glare, Recover
She's baaaaaaaaack. Most STABmons players are already familiar with this monster. Her combination of Pixilate and the excellent Normal movepool make for a monstrous sweeper, Pixilate turning Boomburst and Extreme Speed into powerful Fairy STABs. And there are plenty of Dragon-typed victims in ubers...
Xerneas
Fairy
126 / 131 / 95 / 131 / 98 / 99
Ability: Fairy Aura
Notable additions: Play Rough, Baby-Doll Eyes, Moonlight
Does not gain much beyond finally getting a physical STAB.
Yveltal
Dark / Flying
126 / 131 / 95 / 131 / 98 / 99
Ability: Dark Aura
Notable additions: Knock Off, Pursuit, Brave Bird, Night Daze, Aeroblast, Nasty Plot, Dark Void, Parting Shot, Defog, Tailwind
Yveltal still has that Dark Aura boosted Sucker Punch, as well as Dark Aura Knock Off and Pursuit now. It also gets Dark Void, Parting Shot, and Defog, making for a versatile support mon. In addition, full physical sets are potentially viable now with Knock Off and Brave Bird access, or it could try boosting with Nasty Plot. And of course, its still got its signature Oblvion Wing.
Zekrom
Dragon / Electric
100 / 150 / 120 / 120 / 100 / 90
Ability: Teravolt
Notable additions: Volt Tackle, Dragon Dance
Zekrom doesn't gain much, but it greatly appreciates the addition of Dragon Dance regardless. Volt Tackle is also available as a more reliable alternative to Bolt Strike.
