Well then, welcome to this place of iron, where rain is omnipresent & the bulky get bulkier. This arena was recently excavated & refurbished to become the Gym of our new Steel Gym Leader: Complications! Much to his delight though, his first challenger comes in the form of the undefeated Frosty, who has an unbeaten record in the Gym League! Will our Steel Leader be the end of our challenger's streak, or will Frosty go five from five & earn his sixth Gym Badge? Either way, the next few weeks will decide what will happen!

Junkyard

Far, far, away from the city, past the river and through the meadow, beyond the mountains and over the plains, lies an ancient forest. But that's not important. What's important is what's beyond said ancient forest. Beyond said ancient forest lies an old, forgotten, junkyard. Old scraps of metal, appliances, and the bodies of forgotten cars pile up farther than one would imagine physically possible. If one were to go into the heart of the junkyard, they would discover a dirt clearing about 100 feet x 100 feet, and they would also find a lone trainer by the name of Complications.
Effects:
-The once cared-for junkyard seems to emanate sadness. Adding to the effect is the fact that it's always raining. Consequently, it is impossible to summon sunny weather without a Heat Rock, and even then, it will only last 4 rounds. However, Hail storms and Sandstorms can be summoned normally. When altered weather effects end, the arena's weather reverts to rain.
-Any Pokemon who's defenses (before any modifiers from items) add up to a BST of 8 or more (for example, Bronzong), receive an increase of 1 rank to each of their defenses.

So with Complications bringing an assortment of Steel-types, & Frosty bringing an all-CAP lineup with full movepools (at the time of writing), it is time to denounce turn order! Round One - Fight!

Well, the match has begun. Frosty begins by sending out Diababa the Necturna, & equipping her with a Rare Candy. Complications responds by sending out Thorn the Ferrothorn, & equipping him with a Power Bracer. Time for the war of irony to begin.

The Necturna begins by undergoing an ability exchange, stealing the only ability the Ferrothorn has: Iron Barbs. The Ferrothorn—now devoid of an ability—then responds by throwing around pointed stones which start to float around the team of Frosty's. The team game, I suppose... Nevertheless, the Necturna then goes on the defensive, siphoning life force into a substitute before disappearing from sight in a cloud of smoke. The Ferrothorn then attempts to swat it away with a dark attack, it gets knocked beck, but it still exists. The Necturna then attacks the Ferrothorn, by firing wisps at him, which then burn him on the inside, creating a nasty burn. It did not, however, stop the Ferrothorn from destroying the remnants of the Necturna's Substitute with a powerful spinning manoeuvre.

The round is done & it is a somewhat even start, though Complications seems to have an upper hand at the moment, though a burned Ferrothorn is less than ideal. What will happen next round? We shall see.

The Necturna begins the round by slashing the Ferrothorn with her claws, slicing for some minor damage. In the meantime, the burned Ferrothorn called upon swirling swords spinning around & sharpening the power of his attacks by a lot! The Ferrothorn then takes some burn damage, as the Necturna then went ahead to strike the Ferrothorn with one powerful blow! It deals some noticeable damage, but it weakens the Necturna due to the strength needed to pull off such an attack! The Ferrothorn then span around, before crashing into the Necturna with a powerful attack, taking recoil in the process after being struck by her Iron Barbs! The Ferrothorn takes more damage, as the Necturna proceeds to slash the Ferrothorn again with a ghastly blade, dealing less damage than usual due to cramped muscles. The Ferrothorn then rotated once more, before crashing into Necturna with another powerful, spinning attack, dealing more damage, while taking recoil from Iron Barbs. The Ferrothorn takes more damage from burn as the rain continues to fall...

The round is done, & Frosty the challenger looks like he is winning the damage race at the moment, although the leader's Ferrothorn is catching up. What will happen next round? We will find out soon enough.

As the rain continues to pour, the Necturna simply yawned & went to sleep, weathering another powerful spinning manoeuvre from the Ferrothorn, who then took damage from her Iron Barbs & burn. The Necturna then continued to sleep peacefully, as the Ferrothorn strikes the Necturna vengefully for more damage, before taking more damage. The Necturna then starts talking in her sleep & then slashes the Ferrothorn with a ghastly attack for some minor damage before returning to her position as sleeping beauty. To cap off the round, the Ferrothorn slams into the Necturna once more with a spinning attack, only to take lots more damage. At this point, the stat buffs/de-buffs begin to wear off.

The round is over, & the Ferrothorn seems rather weak & vulnerable now. What will happen next round as the Necturna gets ready to wake up? We will find out shortly.

To put things into three words: Complications threw it. The Challenger & his Necturna continue to run through the spine of the leaders team this round, as the Necturna chilled out, the Empoleon began to attack the Necturna with a powerful icy assault that seems to be struggling to pierce the Necturna's armour. The Necturna then took advantage during the assaults, draining a lot of life force from the Empoleon, before smacking him with a powerful whip attack. The Necturna looks incredibly tired now, but she has put an incredible job in to withstand the Empoleon's attacks & nearly halve her foe's HP in one round. What will happen next round? We will find out as the rain continues to fall...

MFW Necturna hits the real Empoleon first attack. Not only did 16 energy go down the drain, but the Necturna was then struck by consecutive attacks that finally allowed the Leader to bring her down. But in the process, the Necturna has done major damage, with the Empoleon now on his last legs following one last burst from the Necturna. The scores may now be 2-2, but I can safely say that the rest of this match feels like it is going to be a mere formality, especially when one Pokémon on Frosty's bench has more HP than Complication's current Team HP...
