Swablu

    Quality Control 2/2 (Aerrow, Macle)
    GP 2/2 (Uragg, Chou Toshio)

    [Overview]

Swablu is one of the few Pokemon in Little Cup with the ability Cloud Nine, which negates all weather effects.
Normal / Flying typing gives it a few weaknesses on the defensive end, but when coupled with good defensive stats and Roost, Swablu has a good chance around for a while.

    [Set]
    name: Weather Guard
    move 1: Roost
    move 2: Toxic
move 3: Pluck / Hyper Voice
    move 4: Cotton Guard
    item: Eviolite
    ability: Cloud Nine
    nature: Careful
    evs: 236 HP / 36 Def / 236 SpD

    [Set Comments]

This set's main attraction is its ability to help reliably check Sun teams, which it does rather well with a resistance to Grass and Cloud Nine neutralizing Drought's effects. The EVs given give admirable bulk_when combined with an Eviolite. Toxic and Roost form the core of your damage output through poison stalling. Not only does this help to beat weather teams, but it reliably beats a number of set-up Pokemon. Pluck gets STAB and is a handy utility move to have, and Cotton Guard is an exceptional defensive buff to have while stalling.

    [Additional Comments]

An alternate EV spread of 236 HP / 32 Def / 240 SpD with an Impish nature can be used as well. This set benefits from Toxic Spikes, as an additional turn of set up as opposed to using Toxic is welcome.

    [Optional Changes]

Heal Bell is good for team support, but the Combination of Cloud Nine + Heal Bell is illegal, and because Cloud Nine is by far the more useful of the two, Heal Bell is unused for the most part. There are a few other attacking moves you can use, such as Ice Beam, but with bad attacking stats and the usefulness of Pluck, it's not advised. Heat wave is probably the one special move worth considering because it hits Ferroseed super effectively, who is a common switch-in to Swablu and will injure any other Steel-types. However, Heat Wave is incompatible with Cloud Nine.

    [Team Options]

As previously mentioned, Toxic Spikes will aid Swablu's stalling ability. A Pokemon like Tentacool can be used to set them up. Scraggy can set up on Ferroseed, who is one of the most common switch-ins to Swablu, while Magnemite can trap the opponent's Ferroseed, along with any other Steel-types that can render Swablu ineffective. In general, most Pokemon benefit from entry hazards, and Swablu is no exception. A user of Rapid Spin or Pokemon who can prevent Stealth Rock is effective in ensuring Swablu can enter the battle unscathed.

    [Counters]

Magnemite is the number one choice for taking Swablu out as it resists Swablu's only attack, is immune to Toxic, attacks from the Special side, and hits Swablu for super effective damage with its STAB. Most Steel-type Pokemon can switch in fearless of anything Swablu has at its disposal, and can proceed to set up. Any Pokemon that can use Toxic on Swablu can check it. Lastly, Electric-, Ice-, and Rock-type Pokemon can threaten Swablu with their STAB attacks, but must beware of Toxic.

In Team Options, obligatory "Swablu is SR weak, spinners/fast taunters/MMNatu to make SR go away is cool"

Um, emphasize what it has over Lickitung, ie grass and ground resists, Roost, and Cotton Guard?

Slash on Hyper Voice, IMO- you get walled by Gastly which is unfortunate, but it gives more power on your STAB move. (Swablu gets Hyper Voice as a Generation 5 egg move.)

Note that Heat Wave is illegal with Cloud Nine in Optional Changes.

Oh, and as a side note, don't make references to the "current metagame". Metagames undergo shifts, and we want analyses to have a semi-timeless nature, such that they don't NEED to be updated constantly, just when major things change and/or people are willing to do it.

    Swablu

    Quality Control 2/2 (Aerrow, Macle)
    GP 0/2

    [Overview]

Swablu is one of the few Pokemon in Little Cup with the ability Cloud Nine, which negates all current weather effects while Swablu is on thebattlefield. Alongside a few excellent support moves, Swablu can be used to great effectiveness. Normal_/_Flying typing gives it few weaknesses on the defensive end, and but when coupled with good defensive stats and Roost,(comma) Swablu has a good to stay chance around for a_while.

    [Set]
    name: Weather Guard
    move 1: Roost
    move 2: Toxic
move 3: Pluck / Hyper Voice
    move 4: Cotton Guard
    item: Evolution Stone
    ability: Cloud Nine
    nature: Careful
    EVs: 236 HP / 236 SpDef / 36 Def (Def comes before SpD; it should be 236 HP / 36 Def / 236 SpD)

    [Set Comments]

This set's main attraction is its the ability to help reliably check Little up Drought Sun teams_, which it does rather well with a resistance to Grass and Cloud Nine neutralizing Drought's effects. The EV's given give admirable bulk_when combined with an Evolution Stone. Toxic and Roost form the core of your damage output through poison stalling. Not only does this help to beat weather teams, but it reliably beats Calm Mind Murkrow (unless it_carries the rare Taunt) as long as it hasn't set up too far much. This is Swablu's best and most viable set, so it is safe to assume that any opposing Swablu are using this set. Pluck gets STAB and is a handy utility move to have, and Cotton Guard is an exceptional defensive buff to have while stalling.

    [Additional Comments]

An alternate EV spread of 236 HP / 32 Def / 240 SpDef with an Impish nature can be used as well (doesn't this take away a point of defense and not add anything to special defense?). This set benefits from Toxic Spikes, as an additional turn of set up as opposed to using Toxic is welcomed.

    [Optional Changes]

Heal bell is good for team support,(comma) but the Combination of Cloud Nine + Heal Bell is illegal, and as because Cloud Nine is by far the more useful of the two, Heal Bell is unusable useless for the most part. There are a few other attacking moves you can use,(comma) such as Ice Beam, but with bad attacking stats and the usefulness of Pluck, it's not advised. Heat wave is probably the one special move worth considering because it hits Tesshiido super effectively, which who_is a common switch-in to Swablu and will injure any other steel_-types._However, Heat Wave is incompatible with Cloud Nine.

    [Team Options]

As previously mentioned, Toxic Spikes will aid Swablu's stalling ability. (mention some users of Toxic Spikes) Zurrugu can set sets up on Tesshiido,(comma) who which is one of the most common switch-ins to Swablu.(period),(comma) while Magnemite can trap the opponent's Tesshido,(comma) along with any other steel_-types that would can render Swablu ineffective. In general, all most_Pokemon benefit from entry hazards, and Swablu is no different exception (mention some users of entry hazards). A user of Rapid Spinner or Pokemon who can prevent Stealth Rock is effective in ensuring Swablu can enter the battle unscathed.

    [Counters]

Magnemite is the number one choice for taking Swablu out of your opponents team equation (what are you trying to say here? Your opponent's Magnemite won't counter your opponent's Swablu, we're supposed to be talking about our own Swablu. What's this about an equation?), as it resists Swablu's only attack, is immune to Toxic, attacks from the Special side, and hits it for super effective damage with its STAB._Most Steel-type Pokemon in general can switch in fearless of anything Swablu has at its disposal, and can proceed to set up. Any Pokemon that can use Toxic on Swablu can pretty much check Swablu. Lastly, Electric-, Ice-, and Rock-typed Pokemon can threaten Swablu with thier STAB attacks, but must as long as they beware of Toxic.
[/box]

@Charmander: the first and/but shouldn't be there because in the first part of the sentence, it's a good thing not a bad thing.

The weaknesses aren't a good thing. The weaknesses are bad, the combination of good defenses and Roost are good. Think of it like this:
I'm really cool, but I'm really stupid.
I'm really cool, and I'm really stupid.
It's kind of comparing the two things instead of just simply stating two facts.

Read the sentence. He's talking about nrml/flying typing as if it was a good thing.

In the original sentence he wasn't comparing them and was instead listing them off, as in your second example, which I am trying to preserve somewhat.

How many GP checks is that??(if any)

Also make the simple copy and paste finished product like the other GP people do if you're gonna run a check.

None unless someone on the GP team stamps our checks (but you should make changes nontheless). Also I can't find any examples of the copy/paste finished product, can you give me a link?

Zeph, GP team members rarely make copy-and-pasteable versions of their GP checks because it's better to see what they changed. I've only seen them do that a few times due to terribly grammatically incorrect analyses, whereas this one wasn't *that bad*. It's also extremely short so it shouldn't be even close to a hassle to just implement the changes. Also it's not nice to tell other people what to do =(

Umm, you're going to have to add some sort of team options to the set, and you need to remove all mentions of Murkrow.
