Overview
########
  • Thanks to Simple, after a single use of Calm Mind, Swoobat's Special Attack reaches threatening levels
  • Stored Power is a STAB attack that works well in conjunction with Calm Mind, becoming pretty powerful after just one use of the move, and its Base Power can further increase should Swoobat acquire a Speed boost from its Salac Berry
  • Even before a Salac boost, Swoobat outspeeds the majority of the unboosted metagame
  • Needs a boost to inflict any significant damage, and its STAB choice is pathetically weak off the bat (da-dum-tssh)
  • Limit setup opportunities because of its horrible bulk
  • Struggles against stall teams, and a mediocre Special Attack stat means that Swoobat requires multiple boosts to get past walls
  • Swoobat is beaten by common threats such as Sneasel
  • Weak to Stealth Rock
  • Vulnerable to priority and prone to being revenge killed if it isn't behind a Substitute, plus is weak to common forms of priority such as Ice Shard and Sucker Punch, though a Kee Berry can somewhat mitigate this.
Calm Mind
########
name: Calm Mind
move 1: Calm Mind
move 2: Stored Power
move 3: Heat Wave
move 4: Substitute / Roost
ability: Simple
item: Salac Berry / Kee Berry
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Timid

Moves
========
  • Courtesy of Simple, Calm Mind grants Swoobat great destructive potential and ups its STAB to 100 Base Power.
  • Stored Power is Swoobat's STAB option. It takes advantage of the boosts that Swoobat accumulates.
  • Heat Wave has excellent neutral coverage with Stored Power. Notably, it hits the Steel-types that resist the latter, such as Klang and Metang, while also hitting the ever-irksome Sneasel for super effective damage.
  • Substitute protects Swoobat from being revenge killed, and pushes its HP closer to Salac Berry range. Additionally, it offers Swoobat protection against status conditions.
  • Roost is to be used in conjunction with a Kee Berry; a Defense boost enables Swoobat to actually take hits, so a recovery move is ideal for keeping Swoobat alive for as long as possible. Roost can prove particularly useful against Electric-types to remove Swoobat's weakness to their STAB moves.

Set Details
========
  • The EV spread of 4 Defense / 252 Special Attack / 252 Speed lets Swoobat do as much damage and outspeed as many foes as it can, whilst hitting a number of HP that lets it get a Salac boost after three uses of Substitute.
  • A Timid nature bolsters Swoobat's great Speed stat further.
  • A Salac Berry provides +2 boost to Swoobat when it hits 25% of its health or less. This boost allows it to outspeed the entirety of the unboosted metagame, and ups Stored Power's Base Power to 140.
  • Alternatively, a Kee Berry can be chosen instead, as there are plenty of priority attacks in the metagame, and at +2 Defense, Swoobat takes them a lot better. For example, after a Kee boost, it takes less than half damage from Piloswine's Ice Shard. It also gives Swoobat a somewhat easier time acquiring Calm Mind boosts.
  • Simple doubles Swoobat's stat changes and is the reason to use Swoobat in the first place.
Usage Tips
========
  • Swoobat should aim to set up Calm Mind as soon as possible, or first use Substitute if you predict a status move such as Thunder Wave.
  • Swoobat should aim to set up on a Pokémon that can't do much to it, such as Poliwrath.
  • If you are against an opponent without a priority attack and you can't OHKO them, use Substitute until you get to Salac Berry activation range. This gives your Stored Power a boost to 140 Base Power.
  • You shouldn't attempt to set up if the opponent has something capable of stopping Swoobat, as it can only really set up once throughout the battle.
  • You should only attempt to activate your Salac Berry when you're going to need the Speed boost, as a lot of the time, Swoobat would prefer to be at high health.
  • Swoobat should never switch in on anything if it is holding a Salac Berry; instead, it should be sent out to revenge kill or force a foe out and set up.
  • However, should you opt for Kee Berry, bringing Swoobat in on a weak or resisted physical attack can be a good method of reliably acquiring the boost.
  • Bear in mind that even when Swoobat gains a boost to its Defense, it is still prone to being taken out by powerful physical attacks. Therefore you should be careful when attempting to set up against a physical attacker.
  • Roost should be used if Swoobat has been worn down and it finds an ample opportunity, such as when it forces a foe out and it has already netted a Calm Mind boost.
Team Options
========
  • For a frail setup sweeper like Swoobat, dual screens support from a teammate such as Meowstic-M or Solrock is ideal.
  • Special wallbreakers such as can soften up special walls.
  • Poliwrath makes for a good teammate, as it has decent synergy with Swoobat and beats Sneasel, Kecleon, Bastiodon and Piloswine, which are all troublesome for Swoobat.
  • Priority attackers such as Sneasel and Carracosta can assist Swoobat by being able to take care of attackers that outspeed it, such as Choice Scarf Haunter.
  • Swoobat dislikes taking Stealth Rock damage on the switch in, so Defog support from a Pokemon such as Swanna is not a bad idea, though not a necessity. Alternatively, you can try using a Taunt user such as Misdreavus to stop Stealth Rock from being set up in the first place.
Other Options
########
  • Hidden Power Ground can be used to deal with Pokémon such as Bastiodon.
  • A Life Orb set with Calm Mind and three attacks is an option should you desire some extra coverage.
  • Shadow Ball hits Psychic-type targets such as Beheeyem harder than Heat Wave.
  • Giga Drain hits foes such as Piloswine whilst restoring some HP, but Swoobat can't really afford to forego any of the listed main options to accommodate alternative coverage choices.
  • Signal Beam is an option for super effective coverage against Psychic- and Dark-types.
  • Swoobat has access to a myriad of support options including Taunt, Magic Coat, dual screens, Toxic, Thunder Wave, Knock Off, Tailwind and U-turn, but in spite of its great Speed, it is outclassed at using them because of its horrendous bulk.
  • Roost lets Swoobat restore its HP, but it can't spare the moveslot or the turn required to utilize it.
  • Swoobat can try Klutz + Trick with a detrimental item, but Swoobat's poor bulk makes it risky.
Checks and Counters
########
**Priority Users:** Swoobat's poor defenses and weakness to common priority such as Sucker Punch and Ice Shard mean that priority attackers such as Sneasel and Piloswine can easily revenge kill it if it isn't behind a Substitute. Piloswine can even take a hit from a boosted Swoobat, break its Substitute with Icicle Spear and proceed to KO it with Ice Shard the next turn if Icicle Spear was not enough. Pokemon with Prankster can also prove troublesome for Swoobat. For example, Murkrow can use Taunt to stop Swoobat from setting up in the first place and has an immunity to its STAB, Volbeat can come in as Swoobat sets up, then proceed to outspeed thanks to Prankster and Encore Swoobat, and all four of PU's Prankster users can Thunder Wave Swoobat to afflict it with paralysis and shut down its sweep if it isn't behind a Substitute.

**Faster Opponents**: When Swoobat does not have a Substitute or a Salac Berry boost, it is prone to being revenge killed by faster opponents, whether they are naturally faster like Zebstrika and Electrode, or attackers carrying a Choice Scarf, such as Haunter and Rotom-F.

**Specially Defensive Pokémon**: Bastiodon resists Stored Power, can take a Heat Wave, and phaze Swoobat out using Roar or set up Stealth Rock against it. However, if it comes to a to a scenario where Swoobat is the last Pokemon left on its team, it can beat Bastiodon because the latter cannot really touch it. Other specially defensive Pokemon can prove problematic for Swoobat—for example, Grumpig and Regice can both easily tank a +2 Stored Power. Additionally, Grumpig can phaze Swoobat out with Whirlwind, and Regice has a type advantage over Swoobat.

Set Details

The EV spread lets Swoobat do as much damage and outspeed as many foes as it can, while hitting an HP number that lets it get a Salac boost after three uses of Substitute. A Timid nature bolsters Swoobat's great Speed stat further. A Salac Berry provides a +2 boost to Swoobat when it hits 25% of its health or less , allowing it to outspeed the entirety of the unboosted metagame and upping Stored Power's Base Power to 140. Alternatively, a Kee Berry can be chosen instead, as at +2 Defense, Swoobat has an easier time setting up and takes the multitude of priority attacks in the tier better, notably taking less than 50% from Piloswine's Ice Shard. Simple doubles Swoobat's stat changes and is the reason to use Swoobat in the first place.

Usage Tips
========
Swoobat should aim to set up Calm Mind as soon as possible on a Pokemon that can't do much to it, such as Poliwrath (though the latter can phaze Swoobat out with Circle Throw if it isn't behind a Substitute). Use Substitute if you predict a status move such as Thunder Wave. If Swoobat is against a foe without a priority attack that it cannot KO, use Substitute until it gets to Salac Berry activation range to boost Stored Power to 140 Base Power. Swoobat shouldn't attempt to set up if the opponent has something capable of stopping it, as it can only really set up once throughout the battle. Swoobat should only attempt to activate its Salac Berry when it is going to need the Speed boost, as a lot of the time Swoobat would prefer to be at high health. Team Options
========
For a frail setup sweeper like Swoobat, dual screens support from a teammate such as Meowstic-M or Solrock is ideal. Special wallbreakers such as Mega Camerupt and Aurorus can soften up special walls. Poliwrath makes for a good teammate, as it has decent synergy with Swoobat and beats Sneasel, Kecleon, Bastiodon, and Piloswine, which are all troublesome for Swoobat. Solrock can set up Stealth Rock in addition to the aforementioned dual screens. Priority attackers such as Sneasel and Carracosta can assist Swoobat by taking care of attackers that outspeed it, such as Choice Scarf Haunter. Swoobat dislikes taking Stealth Rock damage on the switch, so Defog support from a Pokemon such as Swanna isn't a bad idea, though not a necessity. Alternatively, you can try using a Taunt user such as Misdreavus, Taunt + Stealth Rock Barbaracle, or Taunt + Stealth Rock Monferno to stop Stealth Rock from being set up in the first place.

Other Options
########
Hidden Power Ground can be used to deal with Pokemon such as Bastiodon. A Life Orb set with Calm Mind and three attacks is an option should you desire some extra coverage. Giga Drain can be used for a guaranteed 2HKO on Piloswine when Swoobat is at +2 while restoring some HP. Shadow Ball hits Metang for super effective damage and hits foes such as Beheeyem marginally harder than Signal Beam, but Swoobat can't really afford to forgo any of the listed main options to accommodate alternative coverage choices. Swoobat has access to a myriad of support options including Taunt, Magic Coat, dual screens, Toxic, Thunder Wave, Knock Off, Tailwind, and U-turn, but in spite of its great Speed, it is outclassed at using them by Pokemon such as Meowstic-M because of its horrendous bulk. Swoobat can try Klutz in combination with Trick holding a detrimental item, but Swoobat's poor bulk makes it risky.

Checks and Counters
########
**Priority Users**: Swoobat's poor defenses and weaknesses to common priority moves such as Sucker Punch and Ice Shard mean that priority attackers such as Sneasel and Piloswine can easily revenge kill it if it isn't behind a Substitute. Piloswine can even take a hit from a boosted Swoobat, break its Substitute with Icicle Spear, and proceed to KO it with Ice Shard the next turn. **Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Bastiodon resists Stored Power, can take a Heat Wave, and can phaze Swoobat out using Roar or set up Stealth Rock, though in a last Pokemon situation, it can beat Bastiodon because Bastiodon cannot really damage it. Other specially defensive Pokemon can prove problematic for Swoobat; for example, Grumpig and Regice can both easily tank a +2 Stored Power, with the former being able to phaze Swoobat out with Whirlwind and the latter being able to hit Swoobat for super effective damage with its STAB moves.

Im not qc but i do have a lot of experience with swoobat. Firstly, musharna does not handle it well as it cannot break a boosted sub and gets used as set up fodder. In usage tips you might want to mention how you shouldnt set up if the opp has some thing to stop you - swoobat can only really set up once through out the game. In team options pokes like poliwrath, who beat sneasel and piloswine, could be mentioned.

note; im not qc, just bumping this thread as well as some suggestions of mine (no need to edit ofc).

Overview:
  • Stored Power is a STAB attack that works well in conjunction with Calm Mind, becoming pretty powerful after just one Calm Mind, and its Base Power increases further when Swoobat gets a Salac Berry boost.
- Small nitpick, but I'd just let the Salac Berry out. It's not like the move gets a boost, only when a Salac Berry is consumed. Just to make it a little more clear :]
  • Limit setup opportunities thanks to its horrible bulk
- I'd rather not say thanks to, this is a downpoint of Swoobat. I think you should change the wording from 'thanks to' to 'because of'.
  • The incredibly common Sneasel is a great answers to Swoobat
- I think this belongs in C&C, either remove it or change to something like:
'Is beaten quite easily by common threats in the metagame, such as Sneasel and ... ' (The bold is optional, you can add another example if you like i think)

Set:
- I'd just name the set SubSalac, Xatu and Swoobat fill out completely different roles anyway. (Xatu bounces hazards away and functions as a Pivot, Swoobat functions as a quick set up sweeper)

Usage Tips / Team Options:

- You wrote down 2 exact same points in the first line. I'd suggest removing one of them.

Other Options:

- Unlike in the rest of the part, you've written more move options in once sentence. I'd recommend putting them all apart in a single sentence.

C&C:

- Mention Stealth Rock, as you mentioned in the Overview that it can be trouble for it.

(I must say, this analysis looks p good though)

Made some edits to the analysis based on these suggestions. As for the set name, I was referencing the Swoobat set name that was on the damage calc (INFERIOR XATU), but yeah, SubSalac is definitely more explanatory than "YAY NO XATU IN PU". ;)

Before i say anything i will recommend that you try stored power/heat wave/roost/calm mind @ kee berry. It is the best NU set, and although the sub salac is better here, that set certainly has a a big niche but im not sure whether it deserves slashes on the main set (definitely deserves a big spot in oo

Overview
########
I wouldnt say it struggles vs offense, as it sets up on pokes such as serperior, poliwrath.
Add that low spatk stat requires it to boost multiple times to get past walls
Mention that it is weak to common priorities

Moves
========
Mention sub blocks status as well
Give examples of the steel types hit

Set details looks good

Usage Tips
========
Mention things that swoobat sets up on (such as serp)
It may be obvious but ass that swoobat shouldnt switch in on things (can be sent out to revenge kill and set up)
Mention you should try and get salac boost if the opp has something faster

Team Options
========
I feel some of the pokemon mentioned wouldnt be on the same team as swoobat, as it only belongs on HO teams
Give more examples of pokes that beat specific threats (eg fightings that beat dark)
Also mention that poliwrath beats kecleon
Add hazards, as iirc, swoobat can 2hko licki and mantine with rocks up (calc yourself to make sure its correct)

Other Options
########
Mention that shadow ball hits the psychics (not just behee)
Signal beam hits darks/psychics as well

Checks and Counters
########
This needs a bit of works. Firstly the order should be something like priorities>bastiodon>faster pokes
**Prankster Users:**
Mention prankster in there (they are fairly rare so can be mixed in). Add shadow sneak and give examples of sucker/sneak users (dusk, kecleon etc). Also mention other strong priorities such as bascuilin's aqua jet

*Bastiodon**
Mention how it can set up stealth rocks on it. Also say that if swoobat is the last pokemon left it can win as bastiodon cannot touch it (max boosted sp can ohko 0.0)

**Faster Opponents**:
Give more examples, like rotom-f and haunter as well as zebstrika

Add a **bulky pokemon** section. Sdef pokes like licki can take +2 hits, other such as munchlax laugh at every hit, regice also walls it. I think other type advantage pokemon can go in here as i am hesitant whether or not it deserves a whole section

You can merge the points about defensive teams + needs boosts to break walls in overview
In UT mention that you should only use salac berry when nesseccary (for speed or boosts), as a lot of the time swoobat would prefer to be at high health
In TO, I still think you should add on more team mates to beat pokemon in the c&c
Can you increase c&c (beef it up as a certain person would say), also you didnt mention what i said about bastiodon.

Lastly, test the Kee Berry set i have listed. It works quite well in this meta, as there are plenty of priorities flying about, at +2 def, swoobat takes less than half from sneasel shard, also there arent too many things faster, however they all seem to have type advantages (scarf haunter, sneasel, etc). I want to know for certain whether this should be in oo or main set slashes before i stamp

Hopefully I've sufficiently addressed your suggestions, and also, grats on QC!
After having tested out Swoobat with a Kee Berry, I personally feel that it could be worth a slash on the set, though obviously that's up to you and the other QC members.

After speaking with other council members kee berry set should be added (cm/stored power/heat wave/roost with same EV spread but with kee berry). It only needs slashes, but mention in set details and usage tip what moves go with what and how to use them both. After that i will go over it again and stamp :)

Minor nitpick but, 'it takes less than half damage from Sneasel's Ice Shard.' Change the sneasel to piloswine as sneasel outspeeds and can icicle crash x_x

Mention that roost is useful against Electric types too to remove the weakness it has
Defog is not necessary so move it down in team options or just say it is nice but not needed/cut it

Calm Mind 3 Attacks with Life Orb is probably viable enough to be in OO as it is like a nasty plot with a strong ass Psychic STAB

Mh group Bastiodon with Special Walls in C&C and add Grumpig over Munchlax because it has WW and completely shits on any Swoobat attack.

Removed banned mons mentions like Serperior

2/3 nice job

Just posting to say that this has been written up and is ready for a final QC check.

remove mantine mention because it's nu, and remove illumise mention because it's irrelevant

galbia anty and I agreed that the second attack should be signal beam, it hits psychics and stuff while hitting mightyena and still hitting sneasel. air slash and heat wave should be in moves.

kricketune doesn't beat that many sr users and implies you would use swoobat on sticky web, which you shouldn't really be doing. mention taunt np misdeavus and taunt sr barbaracle / monferno as things that can prevent stealth rock from going up.

"Physical wallbreakers such as Flareon and Bouffalant can soften up special walls."- physical wallbreakers soften physical walls, not special ones. mention examples of special wallbreakers instead.

the rest of this is good, qc 3/3

Overview

Thanks to Simple, after a single use of Calm Mind, (RC) Swoobat's Special Attack reaches threatening levels. Also in Swoobat's favor is its access to Stored Power, a STAB attack that works well in conjunction with Calm Mind, becoming pretty powerful after just one use of the latter, and its Base Power can further increase should Swoobat acquire a boost from whichever Berry you chose to run. Even before a Salac Berry boost, Swoobat outspeeds the majority of the unboosted metagame. However, it needs a boost to inflict any significant damage, and its STAB move of choice is pathetically weak off the bat. It also has limited setup opportunities because of its horrible bulk. Furthermore, it struggles against stall teams, and a mediocre Special Attack stat means that Swoobat requires multiple boosts to get past walls. Additionally, Swoobat is beaten by common threats such as Sneasel and weak to Stealth Rock. To top it all off, it is vulnerable to priority and prone to being revenge killed if it isn't behind a Substitute, plus is weak to common forms of priority such as Ice Shard and Sucker Punch, though a Kee Berry can somewhat mitigate this.

Calm Mind
########
name: Calm Mind
move 1: Calm Mind
move 2: Stored Power
move 3: Signal Beam
move 4: Substitute / Roost
ability: Simple
item: Salac Berry / Kee Berry
evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Timid

Moves
========
Courtesy of Simple, Calm Mind grants Swoobat great destructive potential and ups its STAB move to 100 Base Power. Stored Power is the aforementioned STAB option; it takes advantage of the boosts that Swoobat accumulates. Signal Beam hits opposing Psychic-types, Mightyena, and Sneasel for super effective damage. Substitute protects Swoobat from being revenge killed, and pushes its HP closer to Salac Berry range. Additionally, it Substitute offers Swoobat protection against status conditions. Roost is to be used in conjunction with a Kee Berry; a Defense boost enables Swoobat to actually take hits, so a recovery move is ideal for keeping Swoobat alive for as long as possible. Roost can prove particularly useful against Electric-types to remove Swoobat's weakness to their STAB moves. Heat Wave is an option for the third moveslot, as it has excellent neutral coverage with Stored Power. Notably, it hits the Steel-types that resist the latter, or just "that resist Stored Power" such as Klang and Metang, and also hits the ever-irksome Sneasel for super effective damage. Another option for the third moveslot is Air Slash, as it is a secondary STAB attack that has great neutral coverage with Stored Power, and its flinch chance can come in handy.

Set Details
========
The EV spread of 4 Defense / 252 SpA Special Attack / 252 Speed lets Swoobat do as much damage and outspeed as many foes as it can, whilst while hitting an HP number of HP that lets it get a Salac boost after three uses of Substitute. A Timid nature bolsters Swoobat's great Speed stat further. A Salac Berry provides a +2 boost to Swoobat when it hits 25% of its health or less. This boost allows it to outspeed the entirety of the unboosted metagame, and ups Stored Power's Base Power to 140. Alternatively, a Kee Berry can be chosen instead, as there are plenty of priority attacks in the metagame, and at +2 Defense, Swoobat takes them a lot better. For example, after a Kee boost, it takes less than half damage from Piloswine's Ice Shard. It This also gives Swoobat a somewhat easier time acquiring Calm Mind boosts. Simple doubles Swoobat's stat changes and is the reason to use Swoobat in the first place.

Usage Tips
========
Swoobat should aim to set up Calm Mind as soon as possible, or first use Substitute if you predict a status move such as Thunder Wave. Swoobat should aim to set up on a Pokemon that can't do much to it, such as Poliwrath. If Swoobat is against a foe without a priority attack that it cannot KO, use Substitute until it get to Salac Berry activation range. This gives Swoobat's Stored Power a boost to 140 Base Power. Swoobat shouldn't attempt to set up if the opponent has something capable of stopping it, as it can only really set up once throughout the battle. Swoobat should only attempt to activate its Salac Berry when it is going to need the Speed boost, as a lot of the time, (RC) Swoobat would prefer to be at high health. Swoobat should never switch in on anything if it is holding a Salac Berry; instead, it should be sent out to revenge kill or force a foe out and set up. However, should you opt for Kee Berry, bringing Swoobat in on a weak or resisted physical attack can be a good method of reliably acquiring the boost. Bear in mind that even when Swoobat gains a boost to its Defense, it is still prone to being taken out by powerful physical attacks. Therefore Swoobat should be careful when attempting to set up against a physical attacker. Roost should be used if Swoobat has been worn down and it finds an ample opportunity, such as when it forces a foe out and it has already netted a Calm Mind boost.

Team Options
========
For a frail setup sweeper like Swoobat, dual screens support from a teammate such as Meowstic-M or Solrock is ideal. Special wallbreakers such as Mega Camerupt and Aurorus can soften up special walls. Poliwrath makes for a good teammate, as it has decent synergy with Swoobat and beats Sneasel, Kecleon, Bastiodon, (AC) and Piloswine, which are all troublesome for Swoobat. Solrock can set up Stealth Rock in addition to the aforementioned dual screens. Priority attackers such as Sneasel and Carracosta can assist Swoobat by being able to take care of attackers that outspeed it, such as Choice Scarf Haunter. Swoobat dislikes taking Stealth Rock damage on the switch in, so Defog support from a Pokemon such as Swanna isn't a bad idea, though not a necessity.

Giga Drain can be used to hit Piloswine while restoring some HP. Shadow Ball hits Psychic-type targets such as Beheeyem marginally harder than Signal Beam, but Swoobat can't really afford to forgo any of the listed main options to accommodate alternative coverage choices. Swoobat has access to a myriad of support options including Taunt, Magic Coat, dual screens, Toxic, Thunder Wave, Knock Off, Tailwind, and U-turn, but in spite of its great Speed, it is outclassed at using them by X or Y because of its horrendous bulk. Swoobat can try Klutz in combination with Trick with a detrimental item, but Swoobat's poor bulk makes it risky.

Checks and Counters
########
**Priority Users:** Swoobat's poor defenses and weakness to common priority such as Sucker Punch and Ice Shard mean that priority attackers such as Sneasel and Piloswine can easily revenge kill it if it isn't behind a Substitute. Piloswine can even take a hit from a boosted Swoobat, break its Substitute with Icicle Spear, (AC) and proceed to KO it with Ice Shard the next turn if Icicle Spear was not enough. Pokemon with Prankster can also prove troublesome for Swoobat. For example, Murkrow can use Taunt to stop Swoobat from setting up in the first place and has an immunity to its STAB move; (SC) Volbeat can come in as Swoobat sets up, then proceed to outspeed thanks to Prankster and Encore Swoobat; (SC) and all four of PU's Prankster users can Thunder Wave Swoobat to afflict it with paralysis and shut down its sweep if it isn't behind a Substitute.

**Faster Foes**: When Swoobat does not have a Substitute or a Salac Berry boost, it is prone to being revenge killed by faster foes, whether they are naturally faster like Zebstrika and Electrode, or attackers carrying a Choice Scarf, such as Haunter and Rotom-F.

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Bastiodon resists Stored Power, can take a Heat Wave, and can phaze Swoobat out using Roar or set up Stealth Rock against it. However, if it comes to a to a scenario where Swoobat is the last Pokemon left on its team, it can beat Bastiodon because the latter Bastiodon cannot really damage touch it. Other specially defensive Pokemon can prove problematic for Swoobat—for example, Grumpig and Regice can both easily tank a +2 Stored Power. Additionally, Grumpig can phaze Swoobat out with Whirlwind, and Regice has a type advantage over Swoobat.

Read comments, consider sentence combinations carefully, have funs

Comments:

In the overview, mentioning that it's vulnerable to priority is enough. Removing the part about its weakness to ice/sucker means that the sentence states that Kee Berry helps with being revenged, but i'm pretty sure that's true so it works out.

Does Heat Wave's extra damage vs sneasel help? (Calc says:kinda). If not, say that it still hits sneasel, emphasizing that signal hits it as well.

Can't poliwrath phaze you with circle throw? You should Sub on it but not CM, and kee needs to stay the fuck away from it.

Shadow ball seems like total ass. At least note it hits metang! Otherwise, it's 10 more bp on a super effective hit abd you get walled by darks.

What does regice do with its type advantage?

Overview

Thanks to Simple, after a single use of Calm Mind Swoobat's Special Attack reaches threatening levels. However, it needs a boost to inflict any significant damage, and its STAB move of choice Stored Power is pathetically weak off the bat. It also has limited setup opportunities because of its horrible bulk. Furthermore,(rc) it ,(ac)and struggles against stall teams, and since a mediocre Special Attack stat means that Swoobat requires multiple boosts to get past walls.

Moves
========
Substitute protects Swoobat from being revenge killed, and pushes its HP closer to Salac Berry range.Additionally, Substitute offers while offering Swoobat protection against status conditions. Heat Wave is an option for the third moveslot, as it has excellent neutral coverage with Stored Power.;(period to semicolon, decapitalize) Nnotably, it hits the Steel-types that resist Stored Power,(ac) such as Klang and Metang, and also hits as well as the ever-irksome Sneasel,(ac) for super effective damage. Another option for the third moveslot is Air Slash, as it is a secondary STAB attack that has great neutral coverage with Stored Power, and its flinch chance can come in handy.

The EV spread of 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe lets Swoobat do as much damage and outspeed as many foes as it can, while hitting an HP number that lets it get a Salac boost after three uses of Substitute.
