Only made this warstory because tacho recently gave me an awesome battle.

Apparently I still can't pronounce his name.

Tacho is the creator of the "ok. who's the best guy here" thread in Sppf. He basically challenged the best/toughest battlers into a deadly duel. Although he starts out arrogant, he's able to back it up. Only a few managed to defeat him (Me, SePh258, 0mastar, iirc.). The thread is now a battle attraction.

So I was at my desk, bored. I decided that I wanted a battle to freshen me up.

SePh258 informed me that he read my thread, and he knew my team, but obviously that gives me an advantage into being able to predict whatever he can do to harm my team.

Mekkah also requested that I shouldn't use nicknames, so I'll try.

As I looked at the screen, 2 boards clashed, reading:
ジバク vs. Zach

Also I want to tell you that the numbers aren't all 100% accurate. They're just estimates.

The Match Rules:
- Single Battle, Lv.100
- Sleep Clause
- Species Clause
- Evasion/OHKO Clause.

Same....again, but still.

tacho's team:

- Cresselia
- Manaphy
- Land Shark
- Agunomu/Azelf
- Heracross
- Blissey
Apparently a combination of mine and SePh's team, with Azelf in it

My Team:

- Salamence
- Blissey
- Skarmory
- Swampert
- Heracross
- Cresselia
My team changed a bit, but thou shalt not see the difference.

The boards slid open, and two trainers stood face to face, glaring. They may be clones, but the name and team are different

Tacho sends out Cresselia into the field, and he expected me to send out Swampert

I sent out Swampert. Cresselia laughs hard because Swampert can't touch her. Swampert glares in anger right back at her.

However, unlike SePh258, this Cresselia started the game out with Reflect, expecting my Heracross switch. My Swampert stayed in and caused a vortex of rocks to stealthily appear on the other side!

Tacho is creative in his Pokeball style!

Cresselia used Reflect!
Foe's Reflect raised Defense!
Swampert used Stealth Rock!
Rocks circulate the opponent's area!

So I was still disadvantageous, and I don't want to switch to Cross thanks to Reflect.

Tacho then attempts to remove my Swampert. The hardheaded mastermind called his Moon thingy right back to it's ball and sent out Manaphy to replace.

I expected Cresselia to actually stay, so I switched to Skarmory and I still ended up disadvantageously.

Zach withdrew Cresselia!
Zach sent out Manaphy!
Manaphy is hurt by Stealth Rock!
I withdrew Swampert!
I sent out Skarmory!

At this point, I'm not going to risk my life upon this wretched sea fairy. I recalled the metallic vulture and sent out everyboy's favorite scarmbled eggz.

I withdrew Skarmory!
I sent out Blissey!
Manaphy used Ice Beam!
(~20% damage!)
A critical hit!
Blissey's Leftovers restored it's HP a little!

Huh, a CH? That barely hurt!

Manaphy decides to go SePh style and Tail Glows. I predicted that he would switch and Thunderbolted

Blissey used Thunderbolt!
It's super effective!
(40% damage)!
Manaphy's Leftovers restored it's HP a little!

Manaphy wasn't discouraged. It tried to Surf me! The big fat egg sat there, however, blocking every inch of it.

Manaphy used Surf!
(30% damage)!
Blissey used Calm Mind!
Blissey's Special Attack rose!
Blissey's Special Defense rose!
Blissey's Leftovers restored it's HP a little!

Tacho finally realizes Manaphy cannot beat Blissey, and disheartedly withdrew it's awesomeness.

In reply, he sends out one of my worst nightmares, Heracross!

Heracross is hurt by Stealth Rock!
Blissey used Thunderbolt!
(52% damage)!

Wow, I never thought Blissey would hurt something that bad. But anyway it's gonna run into problems switching into anything again.

*Long pause*
Blissey was threatened, and it turns chicken and ran back to it's ball. However, it's got company!

Heracross used Pursuit!
(~60% damage)!
I withdrew Blissey
I sent out Salamence!
Salamence's Intimidate cuts Heracross' Attack!

The dragon menacingly stared at Heracross, as if it's daring the heracles beetle to do anything.

The defiant tacho recalled back the annoying bug and sent out
His own fat egg?

Zach withdrew Heracross!
Zach sent out Blissey!
Blissey is hurt by Stealth Rock!
Salamence used Dragon Pulse!
(28% damage)!
Blissey's Leftovers restored it's HP a little!

Darn! How exactly did tacho know that this Salamence is an AGMence?

I looked at the field. By now the Reflect already wore off. I decided to take this moment as an advantage.

I withdrew Blissey!
I sent out Heracross!
Blissey used Ice Beam!
(20% damage)!
Blissey's Leftovers restored it's HP a little!

w00t! Weak Beam IMO.
Now this is a reverse case. I have Heracross out and he has Blissey out, just like how it was the opposite a few turns ago.

I thought about this. Should I pursuit the Blissey out ot not?

Then I remembered that SePh258 has a Hera weak. I guess that tacho likes to copy teams so it might have a similar weakness.

And guess what?

Zach withdrew Blissey!
Zach sent out Manaphy!
Manaphy is hurt by Stealth Rock!
Heracross used In Fight!
(60% damage)!
Manaphy fainted!
Heracross' Defense fell!
Heracross' Special Defense fell!

6-5

At this point I can safely hypothesize that he has a huge Heracross weakness.

***long pause***

Tacho glares back at me, and chucked a Pokeball going at full speed towards me. Luckily, it opened midway. However, it was an Azelf!

Zach sent out Agunomu!
Agunomu is hurt by Stealth Rock!

The 30 cm long pixie levitated at the air. Something about Agunomu made my decision to stay in and fight it.

Tacho decides to play prediction on me, sort of.

Agunomu used Somersault!
It's not very effective!
(28% damage!)
Agunomu is hurt by Life Orb!
Agunomu somersaulted back to Zach's party!

First time I've seen Somersault in action. And in replacement he sent out Cresselia to absorb the In Fight!

Cresselia is hurt by Stealth Rock!
Heracross used In Fight!
It's not very effective!
(30% damage)!
Heracross' Defense fell!
Heracross' Special Defense fell!
Cresselia's Leftovers restored it's HP a little!

Ok, that was bad.

I had no choice but to fly back to the ultimate egg! But Cresselia is evil.

I withdrew Heracross!
I sent out Blissey!
Cresselia used Ice Beam!
(10% damage)!
Blissey was frozen solid!
Blissey's leftovers restored it's HP a little!

Ok that was not funny. Luckily I had natural cure, but at this point it's HP is rather low so I risked myself staying in.

Tacho puts up an evil smile up on his face. He thought it was checkmate.
He withdrew the hysterical psycho swan and sent out Beetle Borgs.

Zach withdrew Cresselia!
Zach sent out Heracross!
Heracross is hurt by Stealth Rock!

And to my luck...
Blissey was defrosted!
Blissey used Softboiled!

Ok this is where the prediction starts again. I knew tacho can Pursuit me, but I also knew that he knew I might not switch because of the Pursuit in the previous battle case.

HE WAS WRONG!

I withdrew Blissey!
I sent out Salamence!
Salamence's Intimidate cuts Heracross' Attack!
Heracross used In Fight!
It's not very effective!
(40% damage)!
Heracross' Defense fell!
Heracross' Special Defense fell!

I smiled again. I knew what he is going to bring out

Zach withdrew Heracross!
Zach sent out Blissey!
Blissey was hurt by Stealth Rock!
Salamence used Meteoric Swarm!
(40% damage)!
Salamence's Special Attack sharply fell!
Blissey's Leftovers restored it's HP a little!

At this point, Blissey has to Softboil, which means free Heracross switch in! Take that, eggy!

I withdrew Salamence!
I sent out Heracross!
Blissey used Softboiled!
Blissey regained health!

Heracross grinned at Blissey. I decided to checkmate this guy once and for all

But I never meant Blissey. I meant, THE ENTIRE TEAM!

The boiled EGG jumped back to it's own ball, and tacho sends out his own Heracross!

Zach withdrew Blissey!
Zach sent out Heracross!
Heracross is hurt by Stealth Rock!

I rejoiced at this for a very short time, when......

Heracross used Megahorn!
Heracross' Attack missed!

I hate you Megahorn!

Ok so it's hera vs. hera. This is annoying. I recalled my Heracross and sent out Skarmory to take the predicted Stone Edge!

I withdrew Heracross!
I sent out Skarmory!
Heracross used Stone Edge!
(30% damage)!
Skarmory's Leftovers restored it's HP a little!

Heracross then Stone Edged me again!

Heracross used Stone Edge!
(30% damage)!
Skarmory used Feather Rest
Skarmory regained health!
Skarmory's Leftovers restored it's HP a little!

He switches out Cross, and in comes ducky to take it's place!

Zach withdrew Heracross!
Zach sent out Cresselia!
Cresselia is hurt by Stealth Rock!
Skarmory used Spikes!
Spikes are scattered all over the opponent's field!
Cresselia's Leftovers restored it's HP a little!

Skarmory and it's yellow eyes stood defiantly on the field. And so did I, but I felt extremely confident on this. Checkmate, Heracross!

Cresselia used Reflect!
Foe's Reflect raised Defense!
Skarmory used Spikes!
Spikes are scattered all over the opponent's field!
Cresselia's Leftovers restored it's HP a little!

I love to predict. Tacho gave a deep thought on his next move, then strikes like this!

Zach withdrew Cresselia!
Zach sent out Agunomu!
Agunomu is hurt by Stealth Rock!
Skarmory used Whirlwind!
Agunomu was blown away!
Heracross was dragged out!
Heracross is hurt by Spikes!
Heracross is hurt by Stealth Rock!
Heracross fainted!

6-4

Awesome! Skarmory's phazing move actually destroyed something. It's time for the real rejoicing.

Tacho must be feelin hotheaded now. 2 of his most threatening sweepers are dead. They Rest In Pieces.

Tacho angrily avenged to Heracross' death by sending out Agunomu. At this point I felt that Skarmory's useless.

Zach sent out Agunomu!
Agunomu is hurt by Stealth Rock!
Agunomu used Thunderbolt!
It's super effective!
(100% damage!)
Skarmory fainted!
Agunomu is hurt by Life Orb!

5-4

At this point the pixie's health is endangered due to Life Orb. I sent out scrambled eggz to finish up it's remains.

But once again.....

Agunomu used Somersault!
(30% damage)!
Agunomu is hurt by Life Orb!
Agunomu somersaulted back to Zach's party!
Zach sent out Land Shark!
Land Shark is hurt by Spikes!
Land Shark is hurt by Stealth Rock!

Oh goody, Land Shark! HOW MANY LAND SHARKS DO I HAVE TO SEE ON WIFI!!!????

Blissey used Calm Mind!
Blissey's Sepcial Attack rose!
Blissey's Special Defense rose!
Blissey's Leftovers restored it's HP a little!

My Blissey is at above 50% health, and has Ice Beam. However, I feared that tacho's Landshark will carry Life Orb and Earthquake on it. I played safe and sent out my own Cresselia to do this.

Land Shark used Swords Dance!
Land Shark's Attack sharply rose!

Land Shark used Dragon Claw!
(56% damage)!
Cresselia used Ice Beam!
It's super effective!
(68% damage)!
Land Shark fainted!
Cresselia's Leftovers restored it's HP a little!

5-3

His main sweepers are gone, and now that's left is his extremely low-health Agunomu and 2 walls who die to Heracross.

Zach sent out Agunomu!
Agunomu is hurt by Stealth Rock!

At this point Agunomu has no choice but to blow up. If it uses anything else besides Explosion, Cresselia will kill it. If it Somersaults, Stealth Rock will wipe it out for eternity.

Agunomu used Explosion!
(50% damage)!
A critical hit!
Cresselia fainted!
Agunomu fainted!

4-2

I watched in fascination that a 30 cm pixie packed enough power to destroy a school with an Explosion. After the spectacular screen shaking bang, I decided to return Cresselia's corpse back to the pokeball, with a smile on my face

At this point, Stealth Rock damage does not matter, so I'll not put it down.

Zach sent out Cresselia!
I sent out Heracross!

Heracross used Megahorn!
It's super effective!
Cresselia fainted!

4-1

Tacho admits defeat. He sends his last hopeless guy

Zach sent out Blissey!
Heracross used Megahorn!
Blissey fainted!

End result: 4-0

Credits:
- Heracross for sweeping half of the team
- Swampert for setting up Stealth Rock

After the match:
- SePh258 informed me that The Landshark has Focus Strip on it too.
- (Way before) He said he invented the Reminiscent headbutt/Somersault/Wish/Reflect Jirachi, except with Stealth Rock over Reflect.
- The Somersaulting Agunomu was based on SePh258's one.

Nice battle, this really gets me pumped for D/P WiFi. Way to outsmart him on the second chance where Heracross could've used Pursuit.

Anyway, with Stealth Rock, does it need to have 3 layers down to do max damage or does it only require 1 layer in order to do the different damage percentages based on type?

1 only, otherwise it would be nearly broken.

Lupo, I'll see if I can battle you on the weekends.

Even more entertaining than your last thread. Well done, for the victory and the war story.

Keep 'em coming.

Your team is also tempting me to use CM Blissey.

Amazing, Heracross owned the whole match.

Great reading, we need more guys to write threads like this!

lol Garchomp didn't harm you at all for the second time I've seen. Cresselia owns it hard.

Good read, but I want to see you battle someone with a team that isn't raped by Heracross. The same thing happened in your last match, really =[. Are Salamence/Gyarados rare on WiFi or something?

Apparently, I remembered having a battle where Skarmory owned the opponent's team, but I don't feel like putting it in a warstory

I liked this war story more than the other one. MUCH more entertaining for some reason.

Though it'd be nice to see a team without Heracross or Swampert.

I can't read that thread now, but did he mainly get challenged by the likes of "MIstyrapr2007" and only lose to you guys? I'd love to try battling you guys, but I don't have my team yet.

Warstory is much better than the last one, and the last one was good. Ergo, this one is excellent.

Thank you for being an awesome poster. Good game too, you played very well.

Thanks for saving this thread from 13 posts.

I actually wanna see warstories made from other people and not just me in this forum. I've seen a lot in Advance, but I believe only 1 person did this that wasn't me.

Cool story. Maybe starting in on a new metagame like everyone else will help my noobishness.....prolly not:sad: But I can dream!

My favorite part:
Zach withdrew Cresselia!
Zach sent out Agunomu!
Agunomu is hurt by Stealth Rock!
Skarmory used Whirlwind!
Agunomu was blown away!
Heracross was dragged out!
Heracross is hurt by Spikes!
Heracross is hurt by Stealth Rock!
Heracross fainted!
zOMFG

this is the first thing I've read that's made me really excited about the next gen. I hope my friend lends me his DS forever ._.
