Other Options
=============

  • physical sets look appealing because of higher attack but suck because no movepool + mediocre phys stab
  • roost for longevity is an option, but another coverage move is generally better
  • rain sweeper with thunder
  • specs is a difficult to use option due to the prevailance of ground types, but with good prediction it can be devistating
  • hp ground can nail marowak, excadrill, and magnezone

Checks and Counters
===================

**revenge killers**: many choice scarf users can come in and revenge kill tapu koko, while other naturally faster pokemon like mega alakazam can as well.

**excadrill**: takes very little from any of its moves barring hidden powers, spdef sets especially.

**chansey**: chansey's incredible special bulk allows it to take any attack tapu koko could possibly throw at it

**mega charizard x**: mega charizard x, especially with bulk inventment, can eat anything tapu koko can throw at it

**dugtrio**: if dugtrio manages to come in safely, it can easily trap and remove a tapu koko lacking u turn

**marowak a**: takes anything it has to offer except for extremely rare hp ground thanks to its typing + lightning rod

**magnezone**: magnezone's unique typing lets it withstand most anything tapu koko can throw at it besides the stray hp ground and retaliate with a flash cannon

**grass types**: without brave bird, grass types like mega venusaur and amoonguss can take on tapu koko with ease, while ferrothorn takes on all sets lacking hidden power fire

**bulky ground types**: without grass knot, several bulky ground types like hippowdon, gastrodon, and quagsire can counter it

I'd probably specifically mention Excadrill under Checks & Counters -> bulky ground types section, as he most likely walls KoKo the best out of the bulky ground types, but it's just a WIP so don't mind me.

worth mentioning that brave bird hits tapu bulu harder than hp ice, also hits buzzwole

hp fire also notably hits gene

if you want examples of what tbolt sometimes hits harder than a coverage move: magearna, metagross, buzzwole

IMO, this is how I would order format the moveset

name: All-out Attacker
move 1: Thunderbolt
move 2: Dazzling Gleam
move 3: Hidden Power Ice / Hidden Power Fire
move 4: Brave Bird / Grass Knot / Volt Switch / U-turn
item: Life Orb / Zap Plate / Expert Belt
ability: Electric Surge
nature: Timid / Naive
evs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Volt Switch/U-turn as mandatory moves when your only slash is LO is really silly, IMO. Offensive pivots don't want to wear themselves down, especially with a move that is going to deal relatively little damage (U-turn). I would suggest saying something in comments about using Zap Plate / E-belt with Volt and U-turn, and LO otherwise. I think Volt Switch and U-turn aren't terribly significant on something that's main selling point is its ability to pick its checks and counters, as those two options sacrifice coverage.
