Okay, before this Disqualification can be official/overturned, I am going to discuss with authorities about this. Basically, Atheno/Harbingers exceeded DQ, yes, but there are a few things that niggle me here:
There seems to be no evidence that EndQuote has been given permission to call DQ.
Engineer never told anyone that he had updated the reffing, & hence, how was anyone from the Harbingers supposed to know that they were up in the battle? All three of them (Well, Leethoof has seemingly returned to activity land) are not very active at the moment, so apart from a VM/post, neither member would have known about it.
"-First of all, NO ONE GETS DQED UNLESS I SAY SO." - This pretty much becomes Authorities, given Flamestrike is AFK, & this being a Tournament, it is not exactly fair unless they were given sufficient warning - The first reminder about the battle given was when I VMed Atheno last night - ~2 hours before EndQuote called DQ.
I do not like the idea of a Player calling DQ in a match of this calibre.
With this in mind, I will discuss this with an authority. Nothing is to happen until either an authority or I post with an official decision. Thank you.
DQ time for players will remain at 2 days. After that the team as a whole gets 3 extra days (so 5 days total from the time of the last post in the thread) to post. If at that point there still hasn't been a post, that match will end in a DQ.
I took the above quotes to mean that, if Atheno exceeded DQ, he would be DQ'd. Otherwise, what is DQ for?
I didn't ask permission because:
1) I didn't know I needed permission to call DQ and
2) If I had stopped to think about it, I would have said the above quotes constitute permission.
If I've upset the process of the tourney, I sincerely apologize. I was only trying to follow rules you yourself put into place.
Sorry all. IRL suddenly became hugely chaotic and bad, so I haven't been able to get on for a while. My bad completely.
With that said, I was under the impression that we were waiting for Engineer. I checked that thread occasionally and didn't realise that the modification had been made to my actions, so I was waiting for a post to tell me that I could proceed.
Hopefully then this means we can keep going. And so, without further ado, my actions:
Rock Slide ~ Earthquake ~ Rock Slide
IF Thunder Wave AND Fly is disabled, use Dive
IF Thunder Wave AND he hasn't used Agility, use Fly
Generally, it is considered good sportsusership as far as DQ is concerned to remind a user to post if they have exceeded DQ initially. If they do not adhere to the warning, then seek DQ. This is a Tournament Match, something of a higher calibre than a regular Tower Match. Because of how prestigious they are, rules are a lot more regulated than they are anywhere else. Given Flamestrike is not here with us, I am willing to be lenient on DQ, & so is others like Alch, but as Alch said, a DQ is the last thing we need in this tournament. The problem I have is in how rash you have been; taking what I have been saying out of context. I mean, you obviously did not see...
Atheno, idk where he is, but I have sent him a VM.
He did exceed the deadline, but that does not mean you can go "Whee, free win, calling DQ." Did you remind Atheno & the rest of his team to post? Not that I am aware of. Did you ask me or Flame or Alch or someone else if it was absolutely okay to call it? As you said, you did not. That is not exactly good sportsusership from you, & I expected better. What is DQ for? To punish those who blatantly go on inactive streaks & ignore reminders to post.
I am a bit at fault there for not stating it clearly before this happened. All matches that have ended in DQ in this tourney as far as I am aware of have all been authorised, & I thought it was taken for granted you had to have permission. I was obviously mistaken.
Quotes about DQ rules never constitute permission. As you say, you were very rash in your decision, which I do not like, & neither do others. What constitutes permission in this context is evidence that you asked for DQ to be called & got approved.
Apology accepted, but the rules about DQ I never put into place - they were put into place long beforehand; I simply reminded users. The only thing I have pseudo-officiated was the permissions rule.
At any rate, I am not impressed that something like this happened, & I do not want a repeat of this. Since Atheno randomly posted a couple of hours ago, & the way DQ was brought up, coupled with the fact that we do not need another DQ...
DQ CALL OVERTURNED. CARRY ON AS NORMAL, & I DO NOT WANT A REPEAT OF THIS. ENGINEER, IF YOU MUST RE-REF A ROUND, YOU MUST LET USERS KNOW IT HAS HAPPENED. THANK YOU.
I am not being biased, but the way this has occurred is not a good look, & if this DQ call stood, it would simply open a floodgate of DQ's in the Tourney, with this match being used as precedence, which I do not want. Thank you all for your patience & cooperation.
Watt's strategy of confusion haxing only pays off once, though that boosted Earthquake seems to hit the Galvantula hard. Watt's Thunder attacks too seem to be slightly ineffective; could that have something to do with the glimmering armor around Nidhogg? Either way, the HP gap grows even bigger than before as Nidhogg's powerful attacks seem just too great for EndQuote's team to take; is there anything he can do to turn this around?

Watt drops a large bolt of thunder down on the flying Dragonite, electrifying the arena and dealing decent damage to Nidhogg. It seems that Athenodoros also groans a bit as the excess electricity causes Nidhogg to become paralyzed! Nidhogg doesn't seem to be too adversely affected, however, as he finishes off Watt in two quick attacks. Next!
END ROUND SEVEN
Watt used Thunderbolt!

Nidhogg begins with a show of graceful agility, managing to dodge the jet of freezing ice that comes its way at a rather high velocity. He turns back immediately and churns up the water in the moat around the arena, causing a high tide to crest down and smash into Odin, who manages to sneak into the Dragonite's mind and... erase one of its moves :o
Then, as Nidhogg fails to execute the same graceful maneuver it began the round with, Odin unleashes a massive blast of azure ice that strikes the Dragonite right in the face, knocking it out!

RNG Roll (To-Crit, To-FRZ) Irrelevant
(22.5 + 2 + 1.5) * 2.5 = 58.5 DMG
...and while Odin strikes back desperately with several well-timed and hard-hitting thunderbolts, he simply can't resist Nestor's repeated attacks, and at long last, a ridiculous blast of salt water knocks the Nidoking out, giving Athenodoros the win!
