Gen 3 Team Zappy-Wak-Gross

Well, this is my team. A typical Zapdos + Marowak + Metagross. It's done okay. Not bad, not great. It could be my horrid predicting skills though. But I digress. On to the team.

Zapdos @ Leftovers ** Zappy
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Spd / 108 SAtk
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Agility
- Baton Pass
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Thunderbolt

Baton passes speed to Marowak or Metagross. Decent special sweeper, too. Thunderbolt for STAB, HP Grass to deal with grounds, especially Swampert.

Marowak (M) @ Thick Club ** Wak
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 84 HP / 252 Atk / 172 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bonemerang
- Double-Edge
- Rock Slide
- Swords Dance

Bonemarang kills substitutes. STAB bonus too. Only 90% accuracy though. Double-Edge because it has 120 power, and no recoil due to his trait. Rock Slide to deal with flyings. After one Swords Dance, he's got 1136 attack. After one of those, and an agility or two, he can seriously put the hurt on teams.

Metagross @ Leftovers ** Gross
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 160 HP / 252 Atk / 96 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Meteor Mash
- Psych Up

Typical Metagross, except for Psych Up. That move was sort of a toss up... I'm considering replacing it with something else. I figure he doesn't need agility, due to Baton Passing Zapdos, though it could help him late game.

Swampert (M) @ Leftovers ** Perty
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 56 SAtk / 54 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Curse
- Earthquake
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam

Typical Swampert. Eats Tyranitar for breakfast. Salamence fears him too. He has problems with electrics that have HP grass though.

Forretress (M) @ Leftovers ** Tressle
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 192 Def / 64 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Explosion
- Rapid Spin
- Spikes

Rapid Spinner + Spiker. Good physical wall, but he's a horrible attacker. He's great for the spikes setup, though.

Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers ** Laxer
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 56 HP / 176 Atk / 136 Def / 140 SDef
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Rest
- Return
- Shadow Ball

Standard Curselax. Good Gengar counter, good special sponge, very good late-game.

This team seems to do well when I can set up the Baton Pass + Agility, and give it to Marowak/Metagross, but in late game, it doesn't do so well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
 
i like counter on swampert, as hp grass is considered a physical move. you counter the incoming hp grass for an ohko (but you have to be at near full health and hope you survive. heh. you also have to be really good at prediction..) i'd prolly use it over hydro pump.. -SB
