Teddiursa (Analysis)

I would add more to the Dream World section. Explain what Honey Gather does and why it's inferior to Quick Feet.

Also, in the overview you said Taillow has higher Attack and Speed. That's partly true, but Teddiursa actually has higher Attack. Taillow only has a higher attack if it has Guts activated.

Edit: Also, explain in the Additional Comments that the EVs allow Teddiursa to hit 14 speed with a Jolly nature, and after a Quick Feet boost she hits 21 speed. Which is enough to outspeed all unboosted pokemon in LC! :D

Teddiursa's ev spread doesnt use the full 510 and the remaining evs can be distributed in defense, sp def, or hp to raise the stat by 1 point.

EDIT: it does not increase def or sp def <.<

Yeah, you're right. Except the remaining 46 EVs won't increase SpD or Def by one point, they'll only increase HP by 1.

So, Zambos King, change the spread to 36 HP / 196 Atk / 36 Def / 36 SpD / 196 Spe. :)

[Overview]

Teddiursa is back for more competitive battling with an amazing Attack stat, but frail defenses and a horrible Speed stat. Quick Feet manages to fix the Speed problem though, and you can use Bulk Up can be used to remedy its poor Defense stat. for the Defense problem. Although all of those things may seem good, Teddiursa is often overshadowed by Taillow, (comma) that which has 2 dual STABS and higher Attack and Speed,. (period) Teddiursa has some niche advantages over Taillow though, the ability to hit Steels Steel-types for SE super effective damage, and the fact that Teddiursa has more a higher Attack stat than Taillow if Guts is not activated. Alright on with Teddiursa's only set: (Unecessary sentence imo)

[SET]

name: Quick Feet
Move 1: Protect / Swords Dance
Move 2: Facade
Move 3: Crunch
Move 4: Close Combat / Fire Punch
item: Toxic Orb
ability: Quick Feet
nature: Jolly
evs: 36 HP / 196 Atk / 36 Def / 36 SpD / 196 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Sadly, (comma) this is Teddiursa's only viable set. Use Protect on the first turn, (comma) and proceed to sweep with STAB Facade. Crunch is mainly for Ghost-, s and Psychic-type Pokemon, and offers great coverage with Close Combat. Close Combat works in great synergy with Crunch offering amazing coverage use it to hit Dark types and Normal types. (Close Combat's main use is to hit steels, not provide synergy with Crunch, although it is a bonus) Close Combat is what gives Teddiursa an edge over Taillow, allowing it to nail Steel-type Pokemon that can safely switch in on Facade. It also provides great coverage alongside Crunch. You can use Fire Punch to hit Bronzor,—and other Steel-type Pokemon without lowering Teddiursa's defenses—but you will lose out on a lot of coverage. Bronzor can come in on a weakened Teddiursa and KO it with a Psychic, (comma) however it can countered by must be wary of Fire Punch.

This set works almost like a revenge killer or a switch, you go in Protect the first turn then act accordingly if you are uncertain about your opponent’s next move or stall out damage use Protect again. You need Jolly and those EVs for an enemy Cotonee or other Pranksters hit you with Stun Spore or Thunder wave, it may appear that you won't be outspeeding anything, but atleast you will have decent speed to out speed certain Pokemons.

(This paragraph is a bit too awkwardly worded, and some of the imformation is untrue / irrelevant. You don't need to scout with protect when you are badly poisoned and are faster than your opponent due to quick feet. Also, Prankster Stun Spore doesn't go before Protect even with Prankster, and even if it did, I don't think the Speed is cut due to Quick Feet. Maybe re write the paragraph)

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

The EVs you need are for tanking hits of faster opponents, have some decent speed, and enough EVs to boost your already high attack and hit harder, tank a little, and outspeed some slower opponents. The EVs are invested primarily in Teddiursa's Speed and Attack stats to increase its offensive capabilities, while the remaining EVs are used to increase its HP, Defense, and Special Defense by one point. Facade STAB poisoned with those EVs KOes most Pokemon not named Bronzor or Magnemite. It already has great coverage with three moves, but you can use Fire Punch manages to 2KO Bronzor with Levitate. (You already mentioned attacks in Set comments, no need to reiterate) You can use Swords Dance if you make your team bulky enough and some decent support it can boost with Swords Dance and Quick Feet that makes it imaginably stronger. Taillow manages to 2KO with Brave Bird while you do the same with Facade, Taillow is faster than you and will always KO.Also, the EVs allow Teddiursa to hit 14 speed with a Jolly nature, and after a Quick Feet boost it hits 21 speed, which makes it outspeed all unboosted LC metagame including Taillow

[Other Options]

Teddiursa has a diverse movepool, but sadly not a lot of viable options. Earthquake is not that good on Teddiursa. Aerial Ace to hit Fighting-types but Facade already does a good job. Rock Slide is for Taillow, but again Facade pretty much does it although you can use it on Doubles. Brick Break if you are worried about the Defense drops. (That whole bit needed to go because it was awkwardly worded, also you don't need to mention doubles at all) Attacks such as Earthquake, Aerial Ace and Rock Slide can be used to hit certain Pokemon for super effective damage, but generally aren't used because Facade is more powerful than them. Brick Break can be used to avoid Defense drops, but the extra power that comes with Close Combat is appreciated. Hone Claws is good, but Teddiursa doesn't have many low accuracy moves to abuse it with. it just does not have the movepool to support it.

(Fuse the two paragraphs)

Most of the other moves are irrelevant due to Shadow Claw and Night Slash being completely useless compared to Crunch and offers less coverage. Teddiursa gets enough coverage with those 3 moves hitting almost anything neutrally and/or supper effective damage. It also has a fairly good support moves, but sadly no bulk to make it for a reliable supporter.

[Checks and Counters]

Sadly, (comma) if you have priority it'sis the end for of Teddiursa due to those frail defenses are not helping him sack those hits. Bulk Up is the only way to boost his Defense which is not enough. (Should've been in other options) Unaware Wooper can be a check due to Unaware ignoring the Swords Dance and Bulk Ups, and is able to set up with Curse in against Teddiursa and sweep it.Basically any Faster Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Taillow can outspeed and KO it Teddiursa. Bronzor also pretty much walls it.

(fuse paragraphs)

The LC metagame is filled with fighting-types, (comma) most essentially notably Scraggy, Mienfoo, and the rare Mach Punch Timburr, (comma) all which can KO Teddiursa with a STAB attack. Scraggy can Dragon Dance on your protect, Timburr can Bulk Up also and Mienfoo pretty much outspeeds and KOes with Drain Punch or Hi Jump Kick.

[Dream World]

Teddiursa's DW ability is Honey Gather, which is only usable outside of battle. yeah do not use it.The reason Quick Feet outclasses it is because Teddiursa needs the speed to Ko some Pokemon and the fact that Honey Gather does nothing.

Few tips:

 • Keep it simple, you usually ended up trying to say alot, and then ended up in a tongue twister.
 • You omitted a lot of commas and periods, which made a lot of your sentences not make sense, so try to avoid that.
 • Keep it relevent, some of the stuff you said wasn't accurate, like Prankster Stun Spore going before protect, or Timburr being rare. If you aren't sure about something, look it up

Not terrible, just remember that Teddiursa isn't your audience; the reader is. Always use "you" to refer to the reader and the Pokemon's name or a pronoun that describes it to refer to the Pokemon.

Unofficial GP placeholder means Charmander is going to take what you have written up, fix it, but it does not count as official. However, a official GP member can approve Charmander's changes, making it official.

Moo, do I need to pull out your Eevee and Gastly threads again...

Anyway, Zambos King, I suggest you implement all the changes I listed so the next GP checker won't have to do as much.
