The Beginning of B/W
Every metagame has a history to it, and B/W OU is no exception. At the very beginning of the meta the banlist was very light, with incredibly dangerous Pokemon such as Darkrai and Deoxys-A roaming OU. This tournament will play with the metagame of Round 1 of OU Suspect Testing, with the sole exception of Moody, which will remain banned. For some of you this will be a trip down memory lane, and for you newer members it will be a chance to wield Pokemon you never thought would ever be allowed in OU.

- Smogon's standard OU banlist is in effect, but Blaziken, Darkrai, Deoxys, Deoxys-A, Deoxys-S, Excadrill, Garchomp, Manaphy, Shaymin-S, and Thundurus are unbanned.
- Drizzle and Swift Swim may be used on the same team.
- For competitive reasons, Moody remains banned.
- Matches must be conducted on Pokemon Online.
