Introduction What's up Smogonites! It is TheStriker back with one of those kind of awesome RMTs. This time it won't be built around GarSkarm Core, Crawdaunt, or Ninjask, but it is Honchkrow. This thing is complete boss and has killed about three pokemon everytime I have played a match. People say, this thing is completely outclassed by Zoroark and Dugtrio who use it better, but they have no idea how wrong they are. Honchkrow was a deadly threat in DPPt used by Cyrus and many people thought: It only owned me because I am inexperienced at that time. However, that was not because you were inexperienced but because he is the man. This thing breaks through a lot of walls this generation because it gained a new toy in B2W2. Everything else is decimated with a full on Brave Bird. The rest of the team was to either sweep as back-up or revenge kill. This team has surprisingly peaked even though it was built around a UU pokemon. What else? The fantastic coverage this team has lets me cover almost very type and the great synergy here two letting me to play mind games with risk + reward switches which is great when I get the good predictability. The entry hazards also let it sweep more often and to top it off, it is a weatherless team so it abuses sun, checks rain, and sand is decimated easily. Kyurem-B may have caused trouble because of Hail + Blizzard and those STAB making Mamoswine less viable, but that crappy speed is its own downfall. Now, I am happy to share you this awesome RMT. Behind the Shadows Joining the Club "The Leader of all Crows" Honchkrow @ Life Orb Moxie 4 Def / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Naughty Nature - Heat Wave - Sucker Punch - Superpower - Brave Bird Ugh, people say this thing is outclassed and is a piece of crap because of its defenses and speed, but when a whole team supports it, it will take at least 3-6 pokemon per match. That might seem like a joke, but its a fact. The combination of a LO STAB Naughty BP 125 Sucker Punches nothing to laugh about killing many priority users like Azumarill with ease providing entry hazard damage. After a kill, Moxie will boost its attack by 1.5 which makes it a deadly killer. Heat Wave is important and can be used as a Super HP [Fire] and checks the pokemon Scizor if Honchkrow is healthy. The last two moves are used to kill. Superpower breaks through all steels after a Moxie Boost and the -Atk drop won't matter as it boosts it back up if it OHKOs which lets Honchkrow abuse it. This BossCrow also has Brave Bird which is the most terrifying move on the whole set and grabs me almost an OHKO. Despite all of this, this thing has a nasty stealth rock weakness so I need support from other teammates. Sucker Punch has a measly 8 PP. 100 HP lets me survive resited hits like a nuetral hit of Deoxys-D, but 52 Def sucks and goes down the crap hole, so I need a lot of support and only comes in when I got a good place to revenge kill. The last EV is placed in Def to make my HP odd so I can switch into Stealth Rock more, but it won't matter because of rapid spin support, but you know, just in case. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "The star will be the galaxy" Starmie @ Leftovers Natural Cure 220 HP / 36 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature - Thunderbolt - Rapid Spin - Hydro Pump / Surf - Ice Beam Defensive Starmie is just amazing, just amazing! That amazing coverage and rapid spin support is a godsend to this team. Sand teams are all decimated by Hydro Pump / Surf. I use Surf when I switch a pokemon or testing to be on the safe side. Natural Cure lets me switch into Toxic Spikes and spin it away, something Donphan doesn't boast. He also has that good SpA which lets me check many pokemon. He is my "late game sweeper". The EV spread is simple. 36 EVs in SpA lets me have the sweeping capability while 220 HP gives me great bulk. Starmie is the one who lets my Honchkrow have the power to have 10 turns to sweep than having 8. That stealth rock is a boon to this team and also spike stacking won't really be a problem at the same time. Ice Beam checks dragons and thunderbolt is awesome for rain teams. Starmie has amazing synergy with Honchkrow while the electrical weakness is tooken cared by Ferrothorn. Starmie is the heart and soul of this team, there is a little chance of this thing to be removed unless if you can think of something better. When testing this team, Starmie will kill the crap outta' everything. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "The flight has been decided! Chicago on flames..." Dragonite @ Leftovers Multiscale 252 Atk / 136 SDef / 120 Spe Adamant Nature - Dragon Dance - Outrage - Fire Punch - Extremespeed The only dragon I used since Gen I on cartridge excluding Altaria. This thing got that new gift in B2W2 . With Multiscale I get a garunteed DD and Outrage will decimate everything after it. It 2HKOs Full Def Hippo after rocks which is a rare for most dragons excluding Haxorus and that Multiscale lets me take Mamoswine's Ice shards and OHKO back with Fire Punch / Outrage. 136 SDef lets me grab 2 DD against Special attackers except Lati@s. Extremespeed was chosen last because making multiple DDs gives up speed and priority will get past most of its counters like BP Scizor 2HKO (it won't do that much because of Multiscale) and Mamoswine. The point of this set is not to set up but get multiple DDs against SPECIAL ATTACKERS. I have no business against physical attacker unless they just Superpower or something. Dragonite is almost never used on this team because of Honchkrow being a boss and killing everything and plowing holes into the team. If I ever use Dragonite, 1 DD is enough because of the weakened team. Fire Punch is a godsend when up against sun teams and is just amazing. Sun isn't very common these days due to Hail about to peak it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Go! Go! Go! Red Light!" Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet Iron Barbs 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Def Careful Nature - Gyro Ball - Spikes - Thunder Wave - Stealth Rock Poor Ferrothorn. No one uses him these days. Look at all the current RMTs. No one, but he is the best pokemon as the support slot. Spikes is critical for Honchcrow to kill fast fighting types like Infernape and Terrakion with Sucker Punch and after 3 spikes and a layer of rocks I always say,"Gg" unless they have a spinner on the field. Gyro Ball is an amazing move letting me kill locked-in outragers like DDMence, and Scarf Outraging Kyurem-B for the OHKO. Hail is a big problem to this team so this is proven better than Power Whip. Any reasons to switch back? Donphan. Thunder Wave is the best move in the world. It lets me slow down those annoying sweepers like Cloyster and SalacSub users and letting me kill them with Starmie. Scarfers are always crippled by this and rage quit when I do that. The nature lets me take rain hits much easier and the physical defense is the icicng on the cake. This is my favorite part. Rocky Helmet + Iron Barbs = Sux for you. That is a statement. Every U-Turner takes severe damage by Ferrothorn's stack combo. Outragers are busted by this combo as well. Any crappy hit to the physical defense is awesome because it makes it much easier for Dragonite to sweep or Honchkrow to clean. A MoxieScarfMence can use Outrage on Ferrothorn for 3 turns racking it down to about 33% HP, by that time, Thunder Wave deals with the rest. RockyBarb Ferro has been my favorite pokemon since Gen V. People only don't use him these days because Ferrothorn has similiar traits but with Rapid Spin. This thing looks like it will get rapid spin Gen VI and it'll be on top usage. The final slot was changed to Stealth Rock. You all know why. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Ready to Rumble!" Terrakion @ Choice Band Justified 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe Jolly - Stone Edge - Close Combat - X-Scissors - Quick Attack Everyone knows about the deadly CB Terrakion. This is the ultimate weapon and has won me many wars and is the cleaner once Honchkrow has done its job plowing holes into the opponent's team. This wild rock horse has nothing to talk about the opponent other than a Close Combat that nothing wants to switch in. The Jolly Nature also gives me as much speed as possible. X-Scissors gives me important coverage in killing bulky Grass types and Deoxys-D for the 2HKO. Quick Attack is in the last slot and is very important. A banded quick attack is enough to killed weakened sweepers. Salamence, Thundurus-T, and other pokemon are killed barely by this fast unpredictable move. I usually start with him to destroy the opponent's lead or predict switch ins. Terrakion was suggested by many people and will stay in OU for generations to come. He also completes the Terranite core where ther job is to destroy and plow wholes into the opponents team while they struggle to gain there momentum. Stone Edge is the second STAB Move. Everyone knows that 80% accuracy is like 50% accuracy which is a problem for Terrakion. When up against Flying Types, Close Combat will almost never OHKO and I have to rely on that crappy accuracy. However, despite all these flaws, Terrakion is what cleans the opponent's team half of the time. Synergy Water - Ferrothorn, Starmie Ground - Honchkrow, D-Nite Flying - None Grass - Ferrothorn, D-Nite Fighting - Starmie, D-Nite Psychic - Starmie, Ferrothorn ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "The Final Stand. Cover it all" Latios @ Choice Scarf Levitate 252 SpA / 4 SDef / 252 Spe Timid - Draco Meteor - Surf - Psyshock - Trick Latios is the last memeber in the team and is the most valuable. Latios elimantes all Dragons in OU due to its speed with Choice Scarf. Latios is the only special attacker which is amazing so I can clean Donphan and other Physical Walls with Draco Meteor and Blissey is elimanated with a 2HKO Psyshock. Timd Nature and Choice Scarf lets me kill Choice Scarf Keldeo, Terrakion, and Salamence without worrying of being outsped. Trick is for last ditch situations where I don't need a scarfer anymore and I can instead cripple a wall. I always trick to Ferrothorn, Forretress, and other slow pokemon who are still slow even with the choice scarf. Surf can gain a psuedo-STAB if I am against a rain team which is useful. Levitate is just a great ability making me check Hippowdon and Landorus-T with ease. Latios checks every other pokemon not mentioned and has proven its worth. Tyranitar is annoying and if I get unlucky I usually just Trick to it and crumble to Pursuit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Importable Code: Terrakion @ Choice Band Trait: Justified EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 Def Adamant Nature - Close Combat - X-Scissor - Quick Attack - Stone Edge Latios (M) @ Choice Scarf Trait: Levitate EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP Timid Nature - Draco Meteor - Psyshock - Surf - Trick Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet Trait: Iron Barbs EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 Atk Impish Nature - Spikes - Thunder Wave - Stealth Rock - Gyro Ball Honchkrow @ Life Orb Trait: Moxie EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd Naughty Nature - Brave Bird - Sucker Punch - Superpower - Heat Wave Starmie @ Leftovers Trait: Natural Cure EVs: 252 Spd / 36 SDef / 220 HP Timid Nature - Thunderbolt - Rapid Spin - Surf - Ice Beam Dragonite @ Leftovers Trait: Multiscale EVs: 120 Spd / 252 Atk / 136 HP Adamant Nature - Fire Punch - Outrage - Dragon Dance - Extremespeed ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Story Behind the Team The dark alley in Chicago was the place where Murkrows would steal goods for their boss, Honchkrow. Police were unable to stop these crimes due to the abundance of Murkrows. It has been many years and Chicago was under crisis as the population of Murkrows increased. 2012 was about to decide the end of the world a new era wher darkness shrouds the world. However, to stop this, the strongest pokemon had to come to the rescue. Dragonite comes and uses Extremespeed to scare all the murkrows but nothing really happened. Starmie uses Ice Beam (super effective) and the road is cleared for the rest of the team. terrakion comes in and uses Stone Edge to also hit the Murkrow down to the ground. Next, Dragonite uses fire punch and puts the alley on flames. They continue to walk throught the deadly area and Latios use Draco Meteor to blow up all the trash areas where Honchkrow might be hiding. Nothing happens. It still queit. "All of the Murkrow might have left." said Latios. "Sure seems like it", says Ferrothorn "Well, you got to find him fast." "Why?", questions Ferrothorn. Terrakion interrupts,"If he gets his hands on the Device of History he could blow up Chicago." "Thats horrible!", says Starmie. They arrive at the end of the alley and find Honchkrow. "Welcome", he says. "Your ambitions will be put to an end!!!", yells Starmie. Starmie uses Ice Beam but Sucker Punch goes first and cleans Starmie with an OHKO. "No!", yells Terrakion. Terrakion uses Stone Edge. Honchkrow dodges it and uses Brave Bird. Terrakion dodges but his left horn is broken off. Terrakion is injured and Latios uses Psyshock. He stands there. It had no effect. Latios then uses Surf, Honchkrow again uses Sucker Punch and injures Latios. "This one seemed more powerful than the other one", says Latios. "Its his ability Moxie, the more he kills the harder he falls", said Ferrothorn. Honchkrow laughs at Starmie. "You foolish little seastar. Letting your gaurd down now makes you look like a chump", he says. "Hey!", says Terrakion,"Watch your language!" "Whatever..." Honchkrow flies in the air and uses Heat Wave. It hits everyone but Ferrothorn is OHKOed. Everyone is sad and now that his attack is double they think its the end. Dragonite uses Outrage but Sucker Punch goes first and almost OHKOes him (survives cuz of Multiscale). The attack hits Honchkrow and then is hit again by Extremespeed. Honchcrow uses Superpower and OHKOes Terrakion and keeps getting hit by Extremespeed back to back. "That's it", Honchkrow mutters,"You will all... all... ALL PAY!!!" Everyone keeps their gaurd up as he uses Brave Bird and hits Dragonite for the 2HKO. Latios thought it was the end of the world as the Murkrow's heal their wounds, but his aura starts to remember him this: Its not over 'till you say to yourself it is over. Latios uses Draco Meteor, but right before he uses Sucker Punch he flips and dodges over it and Honchkrow takes a critical hit with Draco Meteor OHKOing. The Murkrow attack Latios but they are all washed away by Surf. Latios uses Revival Herbs on his friends and even though it tasted bitter, they were alive. Honchkrow recovers and asks to join their team. Latios accepts as the leader and makes him second in command. The world was safe from destruction thus starting 2013. "Looks like we were wrong", says a Mayan survivor. "Honchkrow failed us", said another survivor. "Yes" "We must get revenge" "I will deal with this now" To Be Continued... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Team in Action vs. Weatherless Semi-Stall http://pokemonshowdown.com/replay/ou6626960 Hide (Move your mouse to the hide area to reveal the content) Show Hide Hide Hide MagikarpHero joined. hyperflare2000 joined.
