HeaLnDeaL, I'd rather give it to the person most recently active. Randomly deciding shows nothing as to the efforts of the individuals to play the match.

Tadasuke, neither player has made an active effort to schedule a match. As alluded to in my last post, if someone makes a public effort to try to get the match started, then that's different. I just don't think showing up in the room and being afk for 90% of the time counts as being active...

Hint: Jas/viper, try posting on each other's walls and get a time scheduled.

Well, looks like the tagging did some work. Grats to Viper for winning the match!

viperfang4 and Animus Majulous, please figure out when you guys would like to have your final match and post the planned date/time here in the thread :)

OK viper, so I can essentially play any time this weekend. So, whenever we're both on let's play. Heal wants to release the teams and Tada wants to start updating the viability thread, so the sooner we can play the better.

Alright, thanks Animus!

Alright, it is also being announced that the winner of the tournament will be able to pick one Pokemon, within reason AND with reasons attached, that will be auto-slated for the next DHC cycle. No picking something like Mudkip... ... .

I'm not sure if there will be a new DHC next month, or if we'll wait until November or December. I certainly won't be able to lead it next month due to life commitments, but if we have enough interest and someone willing to take over for October, I'm willing to pass the torch along. Of course, waiting until November or December is fine too, so whatever you guys think is best.

Thanks to everyone for participating in this; this has become one of the biggest threads in the subforum thanks to all of your participation!

gg viper. The game was close (to some extent yes, but really was decided on animus misclicks).

DHC was fun, and I'm glad many people participated in it. Let's hop on to analyzing the DHC Pokemon and adding them to the viability thread.

On another note, let's give tada an encouraging clap as he leads us through the second month of DHC.

On a third note, nice job heal for leading a great and entertaining month of DHC.

On a fourth note, the replays will be posted soon with all the teams, and some of them will be good models, maybe after a little tweaking, to give to new cap users or old cap users who are trying to improve.

Congratulations to Viperfang4 for winning the tourney. All the standings can bee seen here. We'll be releasing the teams and discussing viability rankings very soon.

As the winner of the tourney, Viperfang can now decide on one Pokémon (within reason) to be slated for the next DHC cycle. I look forward to leading this!

Well, first off, we'll be releasing all the replays, so you can see the teams in action! I know viper in particular was nervous about having actual teams released. If you participated and want your actual team posted in the thread, please feel free to post and do so yourself :) This way I won't accidentally post someone's team that didn't want it to become public knowledge. (Replays however are all to be made public after the tourney is over, as according to the OP rules)

EDIT: Here's some brief Dark Horse usage statistics. 1 Fidgit, 5 Breloom, 5 Heracross, and 6 Mews entered the tournament (jas and hexium both used 2 candidates; jas with mew + hera and hex with breloom + hera).

At the end of Round 1, no Fidgits, 3 Breloom, 2 Mew, and 4 Heracross survived to move on to Round 2.

At the end of Round 2, 2 Breloom 2 Mew, and 1 Heracross survived to move onto Round 3.

At the end of Round 3, only 2 Brelooms survived, and both teams in the finals used a Breloom.

Though these statistics look bleak for Fidgit, I strongly urge you guys to go and review the first round match of viper vs eevee. Fidgit does his job adequately, and things could have gone differently if eevee had gotten a higher damage roll with Azumaril. While I do wish we had more Fidgit's joining, there's still other replays from the daily matches to help us properly rank him. And making it to the top 4 of the month by votes is no small feat either.

Alright, taking these new public replays as well as the ones earlier in the month into account, feel free to discuss how well the Dark Horses did!
