Hello there, I'm cbrevan. I'm taking over this thread from BigWigs, who made this thread since he felt there was a lack of players in the CAP Metagame, and he felt like if users could request and get their own teams in CAP, much like in the main metagames, whether they're not pleased with the Sample Teams or have difficulty with teambuilding for themselves, it could attract more people into CAP. For this reason, he gathered some of CAP's best teambuilders to help people with building teams that would suit their preferences.

Rules:

- Have a one paragraph description with the set / core you want us to build around and a slight idea of what kind of team you want the end result to be. The details you provide about what team you want, the higher chance their is that you'll like the team. Also, actually have the set(s) you want us to use in your post. This makes the process of building teams faster for all of us here. This rule must be followed, no exceptions. If we can build a team for you, you can write a paragraph for us.
- Do not post asking us to make use of unviable Pokemon. This is not a competition to see how good we are at team building; this is us trying to educate people on what is good and how to build effective teams. Basically, Pokemon on the CAP viability rankings (low-ranked ones are fine for me as well) are what you should be looking at. By unviable we mean Pokemon that are obviously outclassed or have no observable niche in the metagame, such as Florges and Dusknoir.
- Please note that we can choose to ignore requests for extremely generic sets and / or cores as well as cores that have already been built around. The builders have total discretion over what they choose to build.
- Do not flame people for asking for a certain Pokemon or that they can't build one themselves.
- Each user is allowed one request per week and any user found requesting multiple may have their posts deleted.
- I'll close the thread to requests once all of us hit 3 requests at a time. If this ever happens we'll also throw a party.
- Please remember that these teams are first drafts and as such will not be perfect. Edit them as you please.
- On that note, you are free (and highly encouraged) to suggest and post changes / critiques you've made to already posted teams that you feel improve them.
- However, you are not allowed to post your own teams here to have us modify them. We're here to build new teams, not modify older ones. If you want your own teams critiqued and modified, post them as an RMT in the CAP Metagame Forums, not here.

I feel like someone needs to kickstart this thread. If this core is used a lot, I apologize, but I was justing thinking about it.

May I request Krilowatt + Mega Venusaur + Tomohawk on a Balanced team? The basic premise of the core is that Mega Venusaur can switch in from Krilowatt and tank an Electric or Grass-type hit and retaliate with Sludge Bomb, while Tomohawk can take on a Ground-type hit that Krill has trouble taking on, like AV Colossoil's EQ (Krill can't OHKO with Surf iirc).

I'm not really sure about the Mega-Venusaur set, but I'd like to see it on this team if at all possible. Also, the Krilowatt and Tomohawk can be changed, so long as the team remains as a Balanced team.

As I am the first to post on this thread, if this needs to be more complete in explanation, please let me edit it accordingly.

I agree on the kickstarting - and since I loathe teambuilding I'm happy to contribute as well.

So: I'd love a team that uses Stratagem to celebrate its wonderful new sprite, and since I don't run it all that often. I know it pairs reasonably well with Necturna, and I've been meaning to try a band variant of that as well. To round out the offensive core, I figured M-Zard Y might be a good fit - providing unspeakable power and an occasional sun-boost to Necturna's already strong V-Create. Obviously, I'm looking for an Offensive team of some sort - that prefers to end matches fast as opposed to drawing them out (as that's not really my style). It doesn't have to be full-on Hyper-O, but if it were that wouldn't necessarily be a problem. Obviously, Colo is going to be a major issue for this team, and well built defensive cores in general - none of my selected mons are particularly built for survivability. Hazards are also going to be tricky, so something for those would help.

This was going to happen at some point, might as well make it now:

Voodoom @ Life Orb
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Close Combat
- Psychic
- Vacuum Wave

Togekiss @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 76 Def / 4 SpD / 176 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Air Slash
- Thunder Wave
- Roost

The Togekiss set can be changed to pretty much anything. The concept is simple: Voodoom was literally built to be Togekiss' best possible partner, and for it to be both ways as well, in that Togekiss is Voodoom's best partner. Still applies after the Fairy typing - if anything, the core got stronger.

heartofgold I'll take your request.

I also have a request of my own; I'm reposting here since the other thread has now been taken over.

I'm requesting a team with Choice Scarf Memento Volkraken.

Volkraken @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Fire Blast
- Surf
- Power Gem / U-turn
- Memento

Preferably, Memento should help out a set up sweeper on the team, but the mon is up to the freedom of the builder. Volkraken's moves can be slightly tweaked if necessary, but Fire Blast and Memento should stay. Hazards and hazard control is mandatory. I'd prefer the team to be pretty balanced, but if it's a bit on the offensive side then I'd be cool with that as well. I'm mostly looking for a team that both lowers the chances of the opponent setting up successfully while raising the odds of the team's user to set up properly.

Well then... this team is far from perfect, and I wish I could fine tune it, but everyone (cbro) has just been telling me it's good enough and that I should post.

Necturna @ Choice Band
Ability: Forewarn
EVs: 140 HP / 252 Atk / 116 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Horn Leech
- Shadow Sneak
- Stone Edge
- V-create

Charizard @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast
- Solar Beam
- Roost

Fidgit @ Leftovers
Ability: Persistent
EVs: 252 HP / 8 SpD / 248 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Tailwind
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Encore

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Secret Sword
- Hydro Pump
- Icy Wind

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 248 HP / 176 Def / 68 SpA / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Roost
- Tailwind
- Heat Wave

Tis pretty much a tailwind team. Fidgit sets up wind and rocks. Keldeo deals with Colossoil and to an extent Char X as long as it doesn't set up beforehand. Zapdos is a secondary tail winder and the closest thing to a Caw check on the team. Really though, the team deals with Caw by simply not letting it set up; Fidgit can encore it too, so I'd count that as stopping Caw even though technically an encored Belly Drum is still a set up Caw... just not a successful one :P Zapdos however is a one time back up and should be kept healthy to switch into Caw in the event that Caw is passed a sub or if Caw comes in against Nect or Keldeo if they are locked into an unfavorable move (Horn Leech and HP Ground, respectively). Not a perfect team, but I felt that your slow EVs on Nect and your Modest nature on Zard mandated tailwind. Keldeo could alternatively be replaced with a bulky Clefable (or even Sylveon, though the less def hurts vs Colo), since Keldeo's water STAB is weakened in Zard Y's sun. However, Keldeo has much more offensive pressure against Colossoil and actually can make use of Tailwind itself.

- Earthquake

Diancie @ Diancite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

Dragonite @ Lum Berry
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature

- Fire Punch

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- U-turn
- Fire Punch
- Healing Wish

This team is built around the double setup of Aurumoth and Dragonite. The Aurumoth set is unchanged, because the coverage it has is plenty for this team's purposes. Blizzard destroys anything weak to it, even unboosted, which is really nice. Focus Blast does the same, although it needs a boost to beat Ferrothorn. Tomohawk is an offensive variant with Baton Pass, to let it pivot effortlessly and give Aurumoth plenty of switch-in opportunities. Colossoil spins and forms a useful core with Tomohawk. Diancie is our mega and puts a ton of pressure on the meta, and I just like it so much and it fits very well. Also helps prevent hazards for Dragonite and Aurumoth. Dragonite is the physical set-up sweeper that can take many teams by surprise, and +1 Outrage hits like a truck. Fairies such as Azumarill and Diancie need to be removed beforehand, which Jirachi helps with. It also has pivoting potential, giving you lots of momentum, and allows you to heal Aurumoth, Diancie, or Dragonite for yet another sweeping attempt.

I decided to pair up the standard Cawmodore Belly Drum set with Trick Scarf Gothitelle as opposed to HP Fire Specs because I wanted you to be able to beat Unaware Clefable 1v1. You pretty much can stall it out with exception of crits thanks to Rest. Mega Slowbro was added on the team because the CM set can definitely benefit from Gothitelle being able to cripple Cyclohm, one of Slowbro's main counters. It's also a pretty safe Keldeo, Lopunny, and Heatran switch-in which you needed. I decided to go Heatran, but a very uncommon Heatran you see nowadays: Magma Storm Taunt stall breaker. This thing is here to pretty much stallbreak just incase Gothitelle goes down/Used its Scarf already and a reliable Draco Meteor switch-in. This team was looking a little weak to Volt-Turn, so I added a Clefable to take on pokemon such as Manectric, Rotom-W, and Tornadus-Therian. Last, but not least, I added Cyclohm on the team because it was looking very susceptible to Cawmodore, Mega Pinsir, and Naviathan. You might be weirded out by the spread, but it's supposed to allow you to take on Charizard Y, even after Stealth Rocks. Hope I helped, and I hope you enjoy!

Hey cbrevan I made a minor change to my no guard aurumoth team to make it slightly better off against Cawmodore, replacing Ice Punch with Fire Punch. If you could update that, it'd be great.

SwedishBiscuit , you might want to change that, if you so wish.

I think I made some sort of change to the team earlier to handle Caw better, but I like that suggestion so I'll probably use it to replace the other fix.

I loosely call this balance as it leans a bit on the offensive side, but it counts cause I said it does and it kinda plays like it. I left the two sets you provided untouched as they are pretty effective as they are and they form a useful core in addition with Mega Venusaur. I used the offensive variant because I find it more effective in this meta at dealing with the threats it wants to handle, such as Mega Diancie, Krilowatt, Keldeo, etc. by taking them out faster and hitting its checks harder. Talonflame finishes the FWG core and provides a powerful win condition. This specific win con was chosen because the rest of the team struggles with Mega Sableye and faster teams, which Talonflame is excellent against. Colossoil pairs well with the FWG core, and Tomohawk, while also providing spin support and powerful priority, making it an efficient member of the team. Lastly, I chose Cyclohm as an additional Cawmodore check, and a dragon check. Scarf was chosen for the surprise value, surprising amount of power with Draco Meteor, and the ability to revenge threats such as Volkraken and opposing Talonflame.

snake_rattler , here ya go. Hope it does well for ya!

Thanks Exclaimer! I'll let you know how it works out!

EDIT: I've found that standard defensive Cyclohm works a lot better than Scarf. Scarf, while powerful, was not hitting the power I was expecting it to hit. It spreads paralysis pretty well for the rest of the team (which Krill appreciates against Lopunny and scarfed mons, and Venusaur appreciates it because it's a little slow) and counters Talonflame and Cawmodore better. I tried Unaware Clef over Cyclohm, but Talonflame sweeps if Krill goes down.

Well this stagnated a little bit, so I'll suggest another core!

Tornadus-Therian @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 96 HP / 160 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Hurricane
- Superpower
- U-turn
- Knock Off

Syclant @ Focus Sash
Ability: Mountaineer
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Spikes
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam

I'd like a VoltTurn team with Tornadus-T and Syclant. Tornadus-T's set is directly from OU analyses since I have no experience with it. Syclant's set is copied and pasted from one of CB's teams, I like how U-turn hits hard, and it can set up Spikes on occasion. However, the builder should feel free to change these sets to however he/she wants; I've bolded some of the items I'd like to see on the finished team. I'm not very great at Hyper Offense, so if this team goes down that route, I hope I'll be able to use it right!

I've been dying recently and I need help lol. I found one cool set I liked tho, and I think this twosome would work well. Dragonite equipped with a choice band hits hard, and no fairy can switch into it with iron head, so I was hoping that would stay. As for the other moves, feel free to switch em up. To help out the dragon that flies is a Keldeo equipped with specs. The band-specs twosome should be able to blow some holes into teams. I'd also hope for at least 2 capmons on the team. Hazard setters is not a big deal, I dont care if they're on or not, but removal is a must.(No Sab-Mega though)

In bold is what I was thinking for the set, but feel free to change. Also, i'm not sure about the EVs.

Dragonite@ Choice Band
252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 SpD
Multiscale
-Iron Head
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake/Fire Punch/Stone Edge/Extremespeed
-Extremespeed/Earthquake/Stone Edge/Fire Punch

Keldeo@ Choice Specs
Evs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Justified
-Hydro Pump(I refuse to run scald)
-Secret Sword
-Icy Wind
-HP Ground / HP Dark

The only change I made within that core that you posted was Heat Wave>Superpower, because I wanted to hit Cawmodore for Super Effective damage. I added Heatran on the team for a bird spam check, Stealth Rock user, and a Pokemon that walls Clefable indefinitely, which Tornadus-T and Syclant struggle with. Next up I was looking very weak to hazards so I wanted a reliable spinner, Colossoil. Colossoil is an important member of the team because it allows me to take on threats such as Krilowatt and Heatran after taking a hit. Medicham was added to the team for a solid balance breaker with an unorthodox move, Toxic, to wear down bulky defensive mons such as Landorus T and Mega Slowbro. Rotom-Wash was added as a pivot and enables the team to fulfill all the requirements for a Volt-Turn core. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the team. This team does struggle with Krilowatt a bit, but Colossoil if healthy should be able to take it on and if not, you still got Syclant to spam U-Turn and eventually pick it off with an Earthquake.

Could anyone make me a team with a dual tail glow offensive core with manaphy and aurumoth. I like the illusion of this combo. I seen that theres a team with these 2 on it already but im not the biggest fan of offensive tomohawk and fast colossoil. Maybe im just bad at making ho teams tbh.
