I know this is gonna break pretzels' heart, but I'm thinking Russell Wilson deserves the mvp at this point. Brady has the best passing stats of any qb in the league right now and is a very close second, but Russell Wilson is literally his entire team this season. The award is Most Valuable Player, not necessarily Best Stats player.

I mean Bobby Wagner is probably the DPOTY, and the Sehawks defense is still better than their offense so I wouldn't go that far.
I do think hes more deserving than Wentz and he might be able to close the gap on Brady if he finishes the season on a tear.
But if Brady dominates against Pittsburgh (the biggest game of the year) then there's pretty much no question who's gonna win it.
I just don't want another rando QB having a total outlier season to win it over Brady again (like Cam and Matt Ryan did the last 2 seasons)
Brady has played at a higher level than any QB in history the last 3 seasons, and if he doesn't have at least one MVP to show for it then I feel like the reward is a fkn joke.
I also want the dunderheads that think Peyton's 5 MVPs make him the unquestionable GOAT to just shut the fuck up already and Brady winning another MVP will help with that.
(The Peyton has 5 MVPs people are worse than the Brady has 5 rings people I swear)

Nobody's arguing that Brady isn't the GOAT anymore. He is, without question. If there were an MVP award for an entire decade (or two decades!) he would certainly win it. I'm just going by which player has been more valuable to their team this year. I'm well aware of the fact that the person who ultimately wins the MVP is chosen by the voters, not myself, so obviously what I think the award means is irrelevant. I was just sharing my opinion that Russell Wilson has been more valuable to his team than Brady has this year (by a slim ass margin, Brady could still win the MVP and I would have zero argument against it)

I'm not suggesting that all, its pretty obvious that anyone that disagrees with this is taking the contrarian point of view simply for the sake of being a contrarian.
I am questioning the overall process of awarding the MVP if the league's most valuable and best player the last 3 seasons doesn't win a single MVP during those seasons.

I really like how the week 15 Cowboys-Raiders game wasn't flexed. So much more exciting than the Patriots-Steelers or Seahawks-Rams. Or even the Chiefs-Chargers. Clearly. We don't want to see either of those three games instead. Nope.

I know. That's the shitty thing about the network contracts. Next time when renewals needed, NFL needs to rework how they do these, along with the Thursday games.
Good news is Pittsburgh clinched the afc north and thus a playoff game. Bad news is they're going to get smoked by the patriots and will, yet a-fucking-gain, have to go play in new England during the playoffs. Where they cannot win. And thus we're going to have to endure yet another super bowl with the patriots in it.
