Traffic. Traffic never changes. Unless you're in a vast desert hellscape where everyone's either dead or vanished. Then I suppose there isn't really traffic at all.
You fly down the highway, the speedometer never dipping below triple digits. The thermometer, you imagine, is in the same situation, as the van's AC is less than stellar and you can feel the sweat starting to pool all down your back. An endless stretch of tarmac lies both in front of and behind you, with the view out the window being nothing but desert brush as far as the eye can see.
A sudden shape on the horizon breaks up the monotonous view. As it grows closer, it becomes apparent that it's another car. That's a good sign.
As it grows closer still, however, you realize it's not moving at all, but is actually stalled on the side of the road. Sigh. That's about as far from a good sign as it gets.
You pull over anyways, and the results are not unexpected.
Results going out. Day 5 ends 1/5 at 9 PM CST.
