IceBug's Overall Path

IceBug's adventure was probably the most interesting to watch. After locations were revealed, he set up his Vanillish on a stealth mission to a place in which he knew a Cyclohm was hiding. He wentt into the trees, where the blue circle is, and set up a hail. There it got some strong hits on Cyclohm, before chasing it out of the forest, to the orange circle. Over there, they started antoher fight, and jas also joined. Cyclohm was killed due to its low HP from Vanillish's previous assaults, but by the time the battle was over, jas survived with 7 HP and Vanillish was KOed.

Jas's Overall Path

Jas had an advantage, because he brought a flying type. Jas got lucky in the beginning, and managed to find and catch a Murkrow. He encountered it on the first round where the white circle is, and managed to catch it the next round. He then flew towards the house, where he found some honey. When he got out, he entered a battle with Cyclohm and Vanillish. He survived, but than chose to fly towards the desert, basically committing suicide. Banryu was there, ready, and took him out immediately.

Venser's Overall Path

Venser was unable to do much in the Fog of War, despite having one of the strongest pokemon. When he reached the blue circle, he encountered Banryu's Vibrava, but it immediately ran away. He then went into the woods, where he was ambushed by Vanillish. He ran outside of the woods, but was pursued. He was then killed by Vanillish and Jas's birds.

Vibrava (*) Myrmeleon (m)
Nature: Hardy
Personality: The change in life cycle drastically altered his behavior. Whereas before Myrmeleon was laid-back and always hungry, as a Vibrava he is very active, moving almost constantly, and is now very alert to sounds. His underlying personality, however, remains mostly the same-- he remains a staunch competitor due to his unfailing grit and perseverance in tough situations. In battle, he has developed separate fighting styles: one reminiscent of his days as a Trapinch, where he would huddle underground and strike with powerful Ground attacks, and one above-ground, where his new wings give him much higher mobility as well as access to sonic attacks. He is still developing his ability to fly, as well as his affinity for moves of his newfound Dragon typing.

Type: Ground / Dragon
Ground: Ground STAB; Immune to all electrical attacks, Evasive Digging reduced from 3 per action Energy Cost to 2 per action, superior senses in darkened cave surroundings. Knock Down, Rock Slide, Sandstorm, and Stealth Rock have Energy Cost reduced by one (1).
Dragon: Dragon STAB; Roar has have Energy Cost reduced by one (1).

Ability: Levitate
Levitate: (innate) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading Ground moves like Earthquake, Level Ground, and Magnitude. Other Ground moves can still hit.

Banryu's Overall Path

Banryu camped, so he won. When he reached Venser's Cyclohm, he used Fissure to escape ASAP. He then ran into a Drifloon on his way towards the desert, the place he wanted to be the entire match. After cathcing the Drifloon, he eventually reached the desert, and was going to have a battle with porygon3 in his camp. However, p3 got DQed, so Banryu's pokemon remained in good health. jas then walked straight to him, and was killed by Banryu's strong, healthy pokemon.

He used Tangela, I don't have the entire data with me.

porygon3's Overall Path

porygon3 had an odd path. He simply walked back and forth in the same area. He started by going south to kannon, but ran away. He encountered a Golett, and it seemed like things were going to get interesting. It could become a 1v1v1 melee, with the Golett, kannon, and p3. Both kannon, and p3 would be trying to catch the Golett. However, kannon ruined the fun by getting DQed, so p3 got away with a Golett. He traveled South, and then back North, where he reached Banryu's camp. Then he got DQed.

Sableye [Payback] (M)
Nature: Brave (+1 * Attack; -15% Speed)

Type: Ghost/Dark
Ghost STAB; brief intangibility that nullifies Normal and Fighting-type attacks, Pain Split, Psychic, Sucker Punch, Telekinesis, Trick, and Will-o-Wisp have Energy Cost reduced by one (1). (Gengar line and pure Ghosts only: moving through walls.)
Dark STAB; Immunity to all telepathic and telekinetic attacks, better performance in all darkened and especially twilight conditions. Can use more devious Dark-type attacks while attracted. Revenge and Vengeance have Energy Cost reduced by one (1).

Abilities:
Keen Eye: (Innate) This Pokemon has extremely good vision and cannot have its accuracy lowered by any means. Its attacks are still affected by an opponent’s evasion.
Stall: (Innate) This Pokemon has a watchful eye and immense patience. It can be ordered to attack last on any action regardless of ordinary attack priority. If an opponent orders their Pokemon to attack after Sableye, that attack will fail. Against another Sableye, the trainer who issues attacks first has precedence and the opponent's attack will fail.
Prankster (DW): (Innate) The Pokemon is always prepared for engaging in sneaky tactics and trickery, giving its non-damaging attacks an increase in priority level.

kannon's Overall Path

kannon got DQed very early. He encountered some Carvahna in the river next to that he started in, but then got into a battle with p3's Tangela. They both ran away, but kannon saw Tangela again, battling a wild Golett. It could have been an intersting situation, but then kannon got DQed

Whew, finally over! Good match to all, and as for opinions, I loved the format, but next time, you should probably tag-team something this big with another ref so it moves along a bit faster. I'm game for another, though not immediately...need my battle slots free...

EDIT: Also, just realized that if I had managed to kill jas's Ducklett, I would have been facing a 'mon with x4 weak to Blizzard for the top prize...7 HP, bird, 7 HP!!!

Good Game Everyone. I really liked this battle and would love to do something like it again. As IceBug said, having more refs might make it go faster, which would be nice since it was taking up a battle slot. Alternatively you could try to make something like this into an RP, and so it would only tie up one Pokemon rather than a battle slot.

Either way, it was pretty fun.
