This round's Death Match is called Black and White 1.1

rules

Each player has ten numbered tiles, one of each from 0-9. Tiles 0, 1, 2, 7, 8, and 9 are black, while tiles 3, 4, 5, and 6 are white.

Each round, the starting player will play a tile face-down. The second player will then play a tile face-down. After both players have played, the result of the round will be announced. The player who plays the higher number wins a point. If both players play the same number, no points will be gained. The played tiles will be discarded, and the numbers on the tiles will not be revealed.

The player who lost the main match will be the starting player in round 1. After round 1, the winner of the previous round will be the starting player. If there is a draw, the previous starting player will continue as the starting player.

Whoever has the most points after all tiles are played is the winner. If the game ends in a tie, it will restart.

I'm having trouble copying from my IRC logs due to a new IRC client, so if someone that was there could paste it I'd appreciate it.

This round's Main Match is called Team War.

rules

This game will be played in two teams of four players, decided randomly.

Each player will start with a pack of 3 cards numbered 1 through 12. Players can trade cards, but cannot give/take them.

Each round, the teams will submit a matchup order which will be used to determine four one-on-one matchups. If the members of a team cannot agree on a matchup order, it will be decided randomly.

Once the matchups are determined, each player will submit a card to play against their opponent. Once all cards are in, the score for each team for the round will be revealed. The cards played or the players who earn points will not be revealed.

Whichever player plays the higher number card will win their matchup and gain a point for their team. If both players play the same card, neither team will earn a point. If a player plays a 1 and their opponent plays a double-digit number, the player who played the 1 will gain 2 points for their team.

Players can trade cards to the host for special packs at the cost of garnets. During Order Selection Round 1, players can buy a pack of 3 cards in exchange for 2, 4, or 6 garnets, as well as the three cards. During Order Selection round 3, players can buy a pack of 1 card in exchange for 1, 2, or 3 garnets, as well as one card. The more expensive packs will contain better cards.

After 3 rounds have been played, the team with the most points is the winner, and its players earn a token of life. Additionally, in the event of a team win, the team will give one extra token of life to one member of the losing team. That player will choose one of his teammates to be the elimination candidate.

If the two teams are tied, the individual(s) with the highest sum of the cards they played will be the winner(s), and the individual(s) with the lowest sum will be the elimination candidate(s).

Additionally, players who gain points for their team in all three rounds will gain 10 garnets.

Alright, this is a public statement: I will never agree on any matchup order for my team. Never.

The Blue Team will always be randomized because we will not be able to agree, even if the Red Team agrees on an order it will be a random opponent from their perspective.

I would like to kill "Order Selection" because nothing is happening right now that couldn't happen knowing the matchups at the start of each phase, and in fact, a lot of discussion is inhibited by the fact that we don't know.

Please zorbees, don't waste two days each phase for no reason.
