If at first you do not succeed, try, try, & try again! That is what Arcanite is attempting to do in his quest to conquer one of the Ruined Eden dungeons! Problem is however, the dungeon he is likely to tackle has been updated to the 6th Gen as well. Nevertheless, does he have what it takes to make it all the way? Well we will find out in due time!

RUINED EDEN

Set before you is a massive island that humans have long ago abandoned. Leaving from the helicopter you took here onto a vista, you look down & see a land shrouded in a thick poisonous mist. Directly in front of you is a thoroughly unappealing Swamp, which covers an expansive amount of land. You can see a Stream feeding into further up and to the right, in an area that appears to be under a constant, violent electrical storm. To the right a massive build-up of land forms a caldera around a huge lake of lava that is led into by a vast expanse of barren rock.

Scattered throughout the wreckage you see some indications that humans once lived here, but that a cataclysm occurred. What little you can see through the tinted fog looks like deeply corroded ruins of civilisation. You turn your attention to the very far side of the island, behind the lake of lava. In the distance sits a massive tower that would at once point been a pillar of civilisation, but now appears to be a massive tower of blackened soot, standing as a permanent reminder of the permanence of nothing but entropy. Humanity has abandoned this place, but rumours of legends still abound. You survey the pathways down from the Vista. Which place do you approach first?

Player Options
a) Enter Toxic Swamp.
b) Enter Amperage Stream.
c) Enter Molten Lake.
d) Enter Tower of Ash.
e) Leave Ruined Eden.

You must also equip your items at this point as well.

'So, Here we are again. Hopefully this time we won't get ambushed. It seems this place has changed since the last time we were here. Let us be cautious, and we will find what we are here for. Ah, Eusine. Why would you search so fruitlessly for Suicune, when you can harness the storms that Raikou brings?'

'Land Turtle, take your Big Root. Behemoth, these leftovers will help you survive in the long run. Sir. Auorn, You can have your mega stone. The local pokemon may have never seen a mega evolution before, so be on your guard.'

Equip Land Turtle with Big Root.
Equip Behemoth (Nidoking) with Leftovers.
Equip Sir. Auron (Lucario) with Lucarionite.

Amperage Stream - Amperage Opening

Pointing your finger towards the stream, you decide that the best path to take from the vista is to go towards Amperage Stream, & you head there, ready for the storm that had engulfed the area...

The walk through the forest to Amperage Stream was fairly pleasant, & not much troubles were caused. Eventually, after walking for a good fifteen minutes, you find yourself at the beginning of Amperage Stream. The stream itself was very shallow & was shaped as if it was a dead end for the water. There is a passage going up beside the stream, & there was another passage going through thick forest, but before you could make a decision, you hear rustling about. You look around, when suddenly, a Chinchou & an Electrike pounce, thinking you are an intruder! As a result you were forced to send in your Pokémon in defence, & the battle was on!

Restrictions: None.

Description: The battle takes place at the "beginning" of Amperage Stream, which also is the shallowest point of the stream, albeit deep enough to dive in. There are also grassy patches surrounding the stream beginning.

Amperage Stream - Amperage Opening

I will edit flavour later, but this round was fairly incident free for you, with a lucky Blizzard miss on Nidoking helping your cause. One crit did happen, but other than that, you take out the Electrike without too many difficulties. The Chinchou remains.

"Oh dear..."

Chinchou: Surf > Icy Wind

Noticing that your Torterra was under immediate danger, you proceed to try & heal it quickly with draining moves & a Heal Pulse. What you did not count on was the Chinchou simply resorting to a powerful tidal wave, before casting a chilled wind to slow your team down for the next round. Nevertheless, your team seems to be in a reasonable condition, although your Nidoking seems to be losing some health, but you seem to be using up quite a lot of energy... And it is only the first encounter...

Amperage Stream - Amperage Opening

After your team was forced to endure one last tidal wave from the Chinchou, your team then finishes off the Chinchou with one last flurry of attacks to finally dispatch the last lackey. The battle was over, but you could not just feel as if you had used a lot of effort to win that fight, a lot more than you hoped...

With the last of the Lackeys dispatched, you turn your attention to the two paths again. The path up the stream seems to curve right, but is more open & feels somewhat more safe. The path through the forest seems more direct & shorter, but seems less safe. Time to make a decision. Which path will you take?

Player Options
a) Take the path upstream.

Amperage Stream - Amperage Opening

Not wanting to walk a long way, you decide to walk through the forest, & walk through the forest you do...

Amperage Stream - Electric Mine Field

You come to a section of the forest that has a large open field & a narrow path to the right through the bushes around it. You see an sack in the middle of the field which could be useful. At the same time, you also see a sign that reads out the following:

DANGER!
ELECTRICAL MINES AHEAD.
CROSS AT YOUR OWN PERIL.

How the sign even got here in a decrepit place like this, you do not understand. To the right, however, you feel that wild Pokémon could swamp you if you are not careful. Both options could yield danger, but there is no turning back at this point. Which path do you take?

Player Options
a) Cross the mine-field & pick up the sack.
b) Avoid the mine-field & take the path through the bushes.
Manage your team.

Amperage Stream - Electric Mine Field

Feeling brave & ignoring the warning on the sign, you bravely walk through the mine-field. You reach the sack without many problems, & open it. Inside the bag was a Cheri Berry, a Level Ball, & a Water Gem. You shove the contents into your backpack, then move on to the other side of the mine-field. Suddenly before you knew it, one of the mines below Land Turtle, Behemoth, & Sir Auron detonated after being stepped on! They all took some damage, & Sir Auron seems to have become paralysed as a result. You tend to your stricken Pokémon as you made it to the other side without harm to yourself, but it seems like your Pokémon were hurt as a result. Shrugging it off, you move on, deeper into the forest.

Amperage Stream - Branched Paths

Continuing through the forest, you come to a fork in the road. A big tree creates the fork, with either side of the fork taking you through a tree-lined narrow path. You do not know exactly what is down either path, but you can faintly hear what is down either path. To the left, you can faintly hear the sound of feeding. To the right, you can faintly hear the sound of cheering. Knowing there is no turning back, you must make a decision. Which path do you take?

Player Options
a) Take the left path.
b) Take the right path.
Manage your team (Note you can do this in addition to either option).

Amperage Stream - Branched Paths

Reckoning that the feeding to the left is too dangerous to consider, you head down the path to the right of you. You walk for a bit, before notice a stray Power Weight lying on the ground. It looks a bit rusted, but it seems workable. You feel as if it could be a trap, but you do not really know. Either way, the cheering you heard was a bit louder & somewhat audible. What do you do?

a) Grab the Power Weight.

Ignoring the obvious trap, you leave the Power Weight be & move on. A few metres later, a group of Plusle & Minun ambush you & block the exit! Amperage Stream - Branched Paths

That one moment when choosing to Mega Evolve was not the brightest of ideas... Nevertheless, in spite of the pretty large dose of friendly fire the Lucario got by virtue of being faster than the Plusle / Minun nest, you still manage to get out without a KO, as the repeated Earthquakes prove to be too much for the nest, & they all fall at the same time.

With the last of the nest dispatched, you tend to your team, happy that you have gotten out of the fight in one piece. After that, you notice that a clearing is straight ahead. You move on, towards the clearing.

Amperage Stream - Midstream Point

Following your chosen path from the Lackey Battle, you eventually come to an area where the stream path & the forest path meet each other again. You look around the area, where the water is only 10 centimetres below you. Like with the Lackey Battle, the path once again splits in two: One alongside the stream again, and the other path going through the forest again. Before you make a decision on what path you take, you hear rustling in the water that grabs your attention. Do you investigate the rustling water, or do you ignore it?

Player Options
a) Investigate the rustling in the water.
b) Ignore the rustling in the water.

Amperage Stream - Midstream Point

You ignore the rustling in the water, thinking it is not suspicious. As you turn your attention to the two paths, however, a Helioptile comes out of nowhere & strikes Land Turtle with Mud-Slap, before landing into the stream, before hopping out the other side of the river. You turn your attention to your stricken Pokémon, who feels a little bit dazed after the attack, but before you could tend to it, the rustling turns into loud splashes, & a downpour suddenly starts. It seems like a passing shower, but it does not look like it is going to fade any time soon. You turn your attention to the river & spot a Heliolisk alongside a Lanturn in the water, with a Helioptile on the other side of the river. The Helioptile does not look like it can threaten you, but the two Guardians are glaring at you, making you look like a trespasser. It looks like you will have to fight the duo to continue.

Suddenly, the voice of a man similar to the one from Mysterious Cove echoes in your head. "Watch out for the Helioptile; it is a background enemy. It is invulnerable to almost all of your attacks, but you will not be affected by its attacks either. It will do nothing but assist the enemy on one action every round, & if you take out the guards, it might just leave. I bet you that taunting it will allow you to bring it into the open."

Restrictions: None.

Description: The battle takes place at the halfway point of the stream, where there is not much of a drop between the grass & the water, in fact, there is only a 0.1 metre drop! The arena allows all weathers, & when it is raining—which it is as you start to fight—Electric-type attacks get boosted as well!

Mechanics:
-Arena Type: Water's Edge (Produces Bubble Beam).
-Rain Dance is in effect at the start of the battle. This is considered to have been triggered by the move: Rain Dance, & as such, will last 4 rounds.
-Rain also boosts the power of Electric-type attacks by 3.

"Uh oh... Uh oh... UH OH..." | "Do not worry silly, I can make things better..."

Heliolisk: Electric Terrain > Parabolic Charge

Lanturn: DROWN ALL (Soak + Surf combo) > N/A (Thunder (Sir Auron))

"I think I need to help I think... Ummm..."

Helioptile: N/A > Surf

The Heliolisk begins by calling upon the power of electricity to send the whole floor of the arena into an electric terrain, with the floor crackling with electricity. This left the Heliolisk open as the Lucario—who had mega evolved—walloped the Heliolisk with a powerful punch, draining a lot of life force, as the Nidoking then bored into the Heliolisk for a lot of damage. The Helioptile simply watched on as the Torterra then nailed the Heliolisk with a detonation below it, knocking it out of the water temporarily, as the Lanturn then called upon a torrential wave that submerged the whole area in water, although the Helioptile was safe from danger. The same could not be said for your team as they were all submerged & turned into Water-types; a very unfavourable situation indeed. The Heliolisk seemed to enjoy the attack as it replenished some of its dry skin.

The rain continued to pour as the Heliolisk went on the offensive, creating an electrical field which triggered a mass drain-fest, dealing massive damage to your Pokémon & knocking out Nidoking, while the Lanturn was unaffected. Worse yet, the Heliolisk managed to recover a whopping amount of HP from the attack, undoing a lot of the hard work. The weakened Lucario then tried to make the Heliolisk pay with a 5-hit attack from his Bone Rush. The Helioptile, sensing danger, then launched a friendly tidal wave which healed the Heliolisk's wounds a bit, as the Lanturn recharged. The Torterra's red beam was off target however, & a very untimely miss at that. At least the mud on his eyes was washed off, but it looks like the Heliolisk & the Lanturn are ready to move in for the kill.
