I'm pretty sure that if one of my mons faints in a trap in R1, then I choose a mon to send in afterward for one round by itself, which makes sense given you've given 3 actions. And the fact that you've already given them means that I guess they don't depend on the mon I use, so I'll send out:

Also, I am so jealous of your RPs Engineer. js.

Rock Maze~Trap

Your Pokemon rush in to take revenge on the Hippowdon. And revenge do they get!

Poseidon starts everything off with a Wide Guard that should stop any seismic insanity Hippowdon decides to cook up. Astraea then blasts Hippowdon with an intense stream of water that does massive damage. Hippowdon attempts to stir up an Earthquake, but finds himself blocked by the Swampert's Wide Guard. Limos takes this opportunity to start talking in his sleep. At first it looks like nothing will happen, but then a blue Reflective shield forms up around your team.

Astraea suddenly blasts Hippowdon with yet another stream of water, while Poseidon decides to go Limos's route and falls asleep, curing him of his burn and nullifying the damage that it did to him. Frustrated, Hippowdon slams the ground with tremendous force which Bulldozes all of your Pokemon and lands a critical hit on Snorlax. It doesn't seem to faze him much though, as he heals most of that damage off and Sleep Talks again...wait a minute! Did he just kiss the Hippowdon!? Actually it was a Sweet Kiss that confuses Hippowdon terribly.

So far you seem to have the upper hand against Hippowdon, but will he do more damage to your team?

Hidden Cave System~Guardian Battle

You send out your pokemon fast as lighting, but your adversaries have a plan to roast you good!

Revenankh wastes no time getting rid of the Stifling Heat, but Kurage's Hydro Pump still does a lot less than you expected. However, Revenankh sends out a Rock Slide that only seems to bother both guardians. Aron smashes his head against Gigalith with does surprising damage. Gigalith then responds by smacking Tentacruel with an unusually sharp Stone Edge, boosting his speed in the process. As it turns out though, a lucky flinch from Revenankh's Rock Slide saved you from Camerupts huge Eruption!

The second action goes pretty well, Tentacruel sends out some Muddy Water which does some decent damage to both mons, while Revenankh sends out a Power whip that does great damage to Gigalith. Aron Smashes his head against Gigalith again. Gigalith is forced to cooldown from his assault, and while you did prevent a really bad eruption combo from Camerupt, he simply goes for a simple Eruption that does a lot of damage to all of your units, even scoring a crit on Revenankh as if taking revenge for the flinch.

What will you do now?

Hidden Cave System~Guardian Battle

As always, you set a plan in motion, and succeed in it.

Revenankh starts off by using a Shadow Sneak on Camerupt, no doubt trying to weaken the inevitable combo. In the meantime, Tentacruel set up a Substitute that my prove valuable this round, while Aron and Gigalith Protect their allies. Camerupt then sends out a huge Eruption that, for all practical purposes, should've burnt you to a crisp. Regardless, Aron has taken the most damage, while Tentacruel's sub came close but didn't quite break, while Revenankh miraculously avoided the whole thing!

The guardians are none too happy about this, but you set yet another plan in motion, this time to cause as much damage as possible to Camerupt. Tentacruel sends out a Bubblebeam that still doesn't seem to do quite as much damage as you anticipate. Regardless, Revenankh Glares at Camerupt, paralyzing him with fear, while Aron blasts both Guardians with a Rock Slide. Camerupt has to chill from his eruption, but Gigalith is under no such compunctions, and does something unexpected. He charges up energy and EXPLODES! Despite this, you laugh quite heavily as he ends up doing more damage to Camerupt than Aron and Tentacruel combined, thanks to that sub you put up.

Well, it would appear that this was a very suicidal pair of guardians, only one question remains, do you wish to catch Camerupt?

Hidden Cave System~Guardian Battle~Capture Round

Surprisingly, the Camerupt barely puts up a fight, and you capture it without much difficulty. You're one step closer to finding the legendary here.

You may now use this moment to rearrange and use Items.

Round One:
Engineer threw a Heal Ball
Capture Rate: x1
%Chance = (( 1 + ( 100 × 3 - 29 × 2 ) × 150 × 1 × 1.5 ) ÷ ( 100 × 3 )) ÷ 256=.7090=70.9%
To Catch: [7090>= Yes]=211=Yes
Camerupt was caught!

Welcome to the team, Fodder IV!

I'll swap Fodder III for Meikun, but shift the Expert Belt onto Meikun. I guess we can carry on!

Athenodoros:

(Hmm, one thing I forgot, Hippowdon dropped 1x Soft Sand, if you wish to apply it to one of your mons, then you may do so now. You can only make changes regarding to the Sand though.)

Magma Pool

You head down deeper, ever deeper into the cave. You feel the sweat starting to pour from your forehead as the surroundings get to scorching temperatures. You wonder what kind of Pokemon could possibly live down here.

Your question is soon answered when you see a Gigalith chowing down on some unrecognizable Pokemon corpse. When he sees you approach, he makes a loud roar and starts to attack. The roar draws in a Camerupt, who also seems quite ticked off at your intrusion. Looks like this won't be an easy fight.

What can you do to beat the volcano itself?

Magma Pool

The heat is stifling, but not to the level of being painful.. Yet. The sheer heat of the arena causes the environment to be as if the sun was shining brightly, even underground. Pokemon seem to exist within the lava and will erupt forth to assist your enemies through some mechanism you don't quite understand.

Summary:

  • Arena Type: Cave
  • No water source present.
  • Weather: Stifling Heat
    • Unchangeable
    • Possesses all normal features of Sunny Day
  • Every five (5) rounds of combat, a Pokemon will burst forth from the lava to join the enemy team in battle.

Stone Guardians

As you continue through the sweltering heat and magma-filled rooms, you come upon a room with a single platform surrounded on all sides by molten lava. On the platform there exist several statues of an ancient Pokemon that you can't quite place offhand. They appear to be dormant and just statues, but in a place like this you can never truly tell. What do you do?

A) Take the left side of the room across.
B) Take the center of the room across.
C) Take the right side of the room across.

Athenodoros

Alright, let's do this.

Swampert: Hydro Pump (Camerupt) * 2
IF Camerupt uses Solarbeam AND it is at you, use Mirror Coat

Starmie: Hydro Pump (Camerupt) * 2
IF Camerupt uses a protective or evasive move, switch targets to Gigalith

Snorlax: Dynamicpunch (Camerupt) ~ Lovely Kiss (Gigalith)
IF your target uses a Protective move, switch targets

EDIT: Oh, and Hippo gets the Soft Sand

(Man I fail at reffing at a reasonable rate :/)

Note to Self: Do NOT use Explosion.

Stone Guardians~Center Path

You take the center of the room and make it across successfully. As you get to the other side of the room, you sigh in relief, knowing that maybe there is still a trap in that room that you somehow miraculously dodged. You nod to your Pokemon and move with them deeper into the pits underneath the caldera.

You may rearrange your team and Items if you wish.

Athenodoros

Swampert should have used Mirror Coat both actions, and it think that I should probably have done some actual damage.

....................................

I could've sworn you didn't have those subs there before...great now I've got to decide whether to reref that whole thing or whether to have Camerupt fainted in one round.

Hot Springs

You come across a room that, instead of having lava along the floor, has a legitimate pool of water in it. Your Pokemon gasp at the sight, clearly exhilarated. The water appears to be incredibly warm, but only painfully so if you stay in it for an extended period of time. Still, no matter how long you stay in, it appears to be incredibly refreshing, and surely your Pokemon could use the break. What do you do?

A) Rest in the spring for a little bit.
B) Rest in the spring for an extended period of time.

The brief period of relaxation relaxes your party slightly, restoring twenty (20) energy to the whole team. You don't let your team stay in too long, however, and so get them out before they sustain damage from the immense heat. Thankful for the relaxing break, your revitalized Pokemon and you push deeper into the caldera.

Then I think we'll have Fodder III, Fodder IV the Camerupt and Maila as our leads...
