Abilities:
Adaptability:
(Innate) The moves that match this Pokemon’s type have their Base Attack Power increased by two (2).
Download: (Innate) At the beginning of the match, the Pokemon analyzes the opponent and downloads data that lets it deal more damage. This Pokemon receives a one (1) stage increase on the offense that strikes an opponent’s weaker defense stat. (e.g. does more damage with special attacks when facing Aggron, which has higher defense, and attack when facing Hypno, which has higher special defense. For ties, Special Attack is raised.) This boost is maintained at the end of each round.
Analytic (DW): (Can be Enabled) If this Pokemon attacks second during an action, its attacks have two (2) more Base Attack Power.

Cannot be hit by Dive unless the attacking Pokemon has a size class greater than four (4). Immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes. Enhanced aerial mobility. Superior senses in open air arenas.

Abilities:
Hustle:
(Can be Enabled) This Pokemon puts immense force and speed in its physical attacks, increasing the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by three (3), but the haste used lowers their accuracy to 80% of normal.
Serene Grace: (Innate) This Pokemon has a blessing which doubles the success chance of its attack’s secondary effects. (eg paralysis from Thunderbolt)

Windswept Meadow:

Windswept Meadow is a serene flat of grassland, stretching out for as far as the eye can see. A river loops around two sides of the meadow, and a rather intimidating bunch of trees come together to form a forest on a third side; thus, the most common entry point is through the fourth side, where a small town resides. You surmise that entering may take you through the forests and streams, but you cannot fathom what might lie beyond those landmarks. Most Pokemon trainers who go into the seemingly calm meadow come out talking about horrors that lie beyond—venomous snakes, quicksand, and more. Determined to uncover the mystery of the Meadow, you gather your strongest Pokemon and set out into the field. Maybe you'll fare better.

Player Options
a) Enter Windswept Meadow [Specify starting lineup of three Pokemon]
b) Exit Windswept Meadow

I came to the opening of the Meadow. Despite the warnings of the villagers that nobody comes out with their dignity, or sanity, I ventured to this place anyway. Strange, the entrance looked so peaceful, but I knew better than to think that it was going to stay that way within the Meadow. To be honest, I was a bit concerned for my own welfare, the reputation of this place was...difficult, to say the least. Eventually, I steeled my nerves, and entered the insidious place.

"Alright guys, Sovereign, you take point. Serenity, take the left flank, and Korangir, take the right. Be prepared for anything, I have a bad feeling about this place..."

In case it wasn't obvious, Entering Windswept Meadow.

Finally done with stocking up on necessary items for your trek into the meadow, you enter the pleasant grass field, hoping to discover what made former explorers terrified of the meadow. You immediately see something strange about the entire flat—although it's all grass, there seems to be a sense of danger lurking about in some areas. You soon realize that the feeling is somewhat extinguished if you follow a certain path; perhaps the grassland isn't as expansive and pleasant as you though it was.

Soon enough, your entry point is but a speck in the distance. As you continue forward, you suddenly hear some rustling in the grass—it turns out that the field isn't quite as abandoned as it seems like it was. Two Pokemon pop out from the grass, looking curiously at you and your team. Despite their weakness, they seem eager for a battle. They probably won't stop pestering you until you fight them...

A few minutes into the trek, and I was already being assaulted by a pair of grass types. Starters no less. While I would've possibly enjoyed capturing Treeko, I was more focused on the ultimate prize, the legendary pokemon said to inhabit this place. To me, these were mere speed bumps.

"Here's what we're going to do. Serenity, start with a Heat Wave, then Air Slash the Chickorita to hopefully prevent that Razor Leaf. Sovereign, Fire Punch the Treeko, then Ice Punch it. As for you Korangir, start with a Fire Fang on Treeko, then finish with a Sky Drop on Treeko to, in theory, prevent the Rock Slide from hitting more than you. Even if you fail in that regard you'll do decent damage."

Summary:
Togekiss: Heat Wave~Air Slash (Chickorita)
Dusknoir: Fire Punch (Treeko)~Ice Punch (Treeko)
Korangir: Fire Fang (Treeko)~Sky Drop (Treeko)

If Treeko is knocked out, redirect attacks to Chickorita.

(I thought lackeys always ordered first...oh well)

These cute pokemon were deceptively strong, and managed to cause decent damage to my team, but they were on their last legs, one more round should do it I thought.

"Okay guys, let's finish these guys off. Sovereign, Chill out for a bit, then Fire Punch Chickorita. Serenity, take down Treeko with an Extreemespeed, then Air Slash Chickorita. Korangir, I want you to use Sky Drop on Chickorita, then bite it with an Ice Fang!"

The small Chikorita puts up one last stand, summoning large quantities of leaves that whirl about viciously, tearing holes in your clothing and your Pokemon. As you finally bring it down, though, a small voice appears, as if in your head, asking strange questions.

Was it necessary to defeat those small Pokemon? Were they aggressive, or simply curious...?

Shaking your head and trying to clear your mind of thoughts, you stride forward and move into the meadows.

As the last pokemon fell, I finally understood what it was about this place that made people so afraid of it. Not only had these pokmeon almost demolished my team with a combination of bad luck and me underestimating them, but I hadn't even entered the place yet! However, I told myself that I needed to continue on. Even if I failed this time, the further I got, the more threats I could prepare for next time.

"Alright guys, so that was a bit rough, but we're not through yet! We're moving on."

Windswept Meadow
Seed Patch

As you explore the fields around you, you stumble upon a patch of what seem to be large seeds. Despite the tranquility of the patch, however, you sense that there might be something scary lurking. However, you also deduce that these seeds may be of some restorative use to your Pokemon. It may be worth it to pick some of the seeds and go, but taking more time than necessary might prove dangerous... what do you do?

Player Options
a) Pick some of the Seeds [1-10; Specify Number]
b) Ignore the Seeds and carry on

As I came towards the Meadow, I noticed a curiosity. A group of ten seeds, scattered around, which might be of some help to restore my pokemon. But my intuition told me that there was probably going to be something to attack me if I tried to pick too many up. I pondered it in my head for a bit. On the one hand, those grass types were surprisingly brutal, and my team could seriously use the healing. But on the other hand, there's no guarantee that the seeds would be enough, and another battle, especially a trap battle, would screw me over. In the end, I decided that as long as I only picked a few seeds and then ran, I'd be okay.

"Alright, everyone be on guard, I'm picking up some seeds."

Picking 3 seeds.

You pick the Seeds warily, moving with haste. As you stuff the last of the Seeds into a pouch and tie it up with a piece of string, you hear a rustling from a nearby bush. Windswept Meadow
Blossom Clearing

As you continue deeper into the green grassland, you come across two rows of trees that seem to be aligned in a rather unnatural way. As you hear rather threatening noises from the two expanses outside of the channel formed by the trees, you decide to go through the channel. Upon exiting through the other side, you are faced with an extremely peculiar site. A small mound of earth is raised above the others, creating what seems to be a small hill. What's strange, however, is that all of the grass and flowers in the clearing seem to bend towards the mound... as you examine it more closely, you discover that there is a strange flower on the mound. Do you pick the flower, or do you leave it alone?

Player Options
a) Leave the flower alone
b) Pick the flower

At this time, you may also rearrange items, rearrange Pokemon, or use items.

At this point, I then ran into a flower. It looked kind of suspicious, but could contain useful medicinal properties, especially since I had only gotten 3 seeds. However, I wasn't about to push my luck again, and ordered my men to move on...after I tried giving Korangir one of those seeds.

"Man I hope this doesn't backfire on me."

Give Korangir Seed to Eat, then leave the flower alone.

Windswept Meadow
Tangled Overgrowth

After a short while of mindless walking, you stroll into the very middle of a thicket. As soon as you enter, leaves cover up the way you entered in in a surprisingly insidious fashion. What lies before you is an extremely strange sight—four trees lie in a rough semicircle, creating three channels that you could possibly walk through. Furthermore, each of the entrances seems to be draped in vines of varying hues, lengths, and thicknesses. Puzzled by this mysterious layout and the fact that you are trapped in the overgrowth, you decide that going through one of the entrances is probably the best idea. Which one?

Player Options
a) Go through the left entrance
b) Go through the center entrance
c) Go through the right entrance

At this time, you may also rearrange items, rearrange Pokemon, or use items.

Seeing the success of the seed, I was encouraged. Lady Luck had given me an opportunity to heal up for the next battle. I then came upon a large thicket, with three paths to go through. Any way I looked at it, this seemed like a battle, the only question was, how hard? In the end, I decided to choose the right path, and give Serenity the remaining seeds to prepare for the battle ahead.

Going through the Right Path, feed 2 Seeds to Togekiss.

You realize that the entire pathway is constructed solely of assorted vines, and that the tunnel gets darker and darker as you walk farther and farther into it. Walking for what seems to be an eternity, you finally reach the end of the tunnel. The dead end, that is. Frustrated at having wasted so much time and energy, you walk back to the entrances of the three tunnels, with slightly more weary Pokemon.

Berry Tree Hill

As you continue on your way, you notice a small raised hill a short distance away from a massive grove of trees. The hill seems to be a bottleneck; to the left of it is a rather intimidating forest, while you see the reflective surface of what seems to be water on the right. Braving either of the two doesn't seem to be very smart, so you head straight towards the hill.

As you approach the hill, you see two tall trees on either side. One of them seems to have some
Jaboca Berries on them, while the other one seems to have some
Rowap Berries. While these will undoubtedly help you on your journey and beyond, you can't be sure that the hill is abandoned. Do you take some of the berries, and if so, which ones?

Player Options
a) Take both the Jaboca Berries and Rowap Berries
b) Take Berries from one of the trees [specify which one]
c) Ignore the Berry trees

At this time, you may also rearrange items, rearrange Pokemon, or use items.

(What, I lost three Cherish Balls?! FUDGE!)

After getting out of the thickets, I saw two berry trees. One berry tree produced Berries that buffered special attacks, and the other, physical attacks. At this point I started considering a few things. With three Cherish Balls gone, I'd have only about 4 chances to grab the legendary, who was likely difficult to catch. In the end, I figured: Well, if the legendary is without my reach, perhaps I can get a rare pokemon from these trees.

Take both Jaboca Berries and Rowap Berries.

Delighted by the opportunity to get some Berries, you go over to one tree, pick some berries, then repeat the same procedure for the other tree. You fight as hard as you can, but after a vicious flurry of leaves from the Leafeon and a ridiculously powerful swirl of sleet and frost, only Dusknoir remains standing. As it continues to fend off the two Guardians, you notice that they seem to be fighting much harder than Pokemon normally would; the small voice in the back of your head seems to know why, asking you pointed questions.

Have you done anything unnecessarily destructive? Knocked a few helpless Pokemon out, perhaps?

Again, you shake your head free of these thoughts and return to the battle in front of you.

The field seems almost alive—tall, uncut grasses dance in the wind, while tree branches wave about. Bushes and flowers are abundant in the arena, releasing a delightful scent that makes most Pokemon want to stop what they are doing and bathe in the smell. You still can't find any water around here, but that's not much of a worry. The greenery is enough of a compensation.

  • Arena Type: Grassland
  • No water source.
  • One (1) stage evasion drop for Pokemon without a Grass typing that is maintained at the end of each round.
