The Legend Run: (Mowtom) Enchanted Meadow

Only Mowtom, smashlloyd20, Dogfish44, Its_A_Random, and any subreferees may post in this thread until the completion of the TLR. Any other post made will be deleted, & possibly subjected to moderation. Thank you.

Mowtom, a fairly highly regarded battler in ASB, has come to Enchanted Meadow to try to secure himself a Floette-E! Will he be repelled by the tricks and traps of the meadow? Or will I give up a legend for free on my very first TLR reffing?

Team Mowtom:

Escavalier [Kent] (M)

Kent began his life as a younger brother to Shelby, a worm who lives in a viola. However, Kent was forced to leave his brother, never to return. After experiencing significant physical changes (and possibly a trip through a time machine), he found Mowtom, and the two bonded quite well.

Type: Bug / Steel
  • Bug STAB; Adds an additional guaranteed attack on all multi-hit moves (does not include two hit moves) with a total hit cap of five (5).
  • Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.
Abilities: Swarm / Shell Armor / Overcoat (Unlocked)
  • When this Pokemon's HP is lower than 33% (flat), the Base Attack Power of any Bug-typed attack is increased by 2. (eg Silver Wind goes from 6 to 8, X-Scissor from 8 to 10)
  • This Pokemon's thick, bony outer shell prevents it from taking critical hits.
  • This Pokemon has a sturdy exterior that rebuffs the elements, making it immune to damage inflicted by bad weather. The Pokemon is also immune to "Powder" moves. (Full List: Cotton Spore, Poison Powder, Powder, Rage Powder, Sleep Powder, Spore, Stun Spore.) If the Pokemon is already immune to at least one (1) kind of weather, or powder attacks by typing or a different ability, Overcoat reduces the Base Attack Power of all oncoming attacks by one (1).

Mollux [Snail] (M)

Despite what you may think, Snail is not the Mollux Pebbles knew. He is her brother. When his sister reported the redheaded trainer who seemed to have no idea what a Mollux or a Rebble was, Snail went to investigate. He was quickly captured by Mowtom, without much complaint from either of them.

Type: Fire / Poison
  • Fire STAB; immune to burn status. Brighten Command.
    • Brighten Command: For the next six (6) actions, all this Pokemon's attacks will have their accuracy increased by one stage. Type Exclusive commands can only be used by Pokemon that are naturally that type, and are still available if the Pokemon changes type.
      Command Type: Type Exclusive | Accuracy: -- | Energy Cost: 5 | Priority: 0 | CT: None
  • Poison STAB; immunity to Poison/Toxic status. Absorb Toxic Spikes on switch-in unless Flying-typed or using the ability Levitate. -- Accuracy when using Toxic, Poison Gas, or Poison Powder, hitting even during Dig, Fly, etc. Ignore Fog's accuracy reduction. Store Command.
    • Store Command: For the next six (6) actions, this Pokemon's moves will have their poison / toxic effect chance double. Type Exclusive commands can only be used by Pokemon that are naturally that type, and are still available if the Pokemon changes type.
      Command Type: Type Exclusive | Accuracy: -- | Energy Cost: 5 | Priority: 0 | CT: None
Abilities: Dry Skin / Illuminate (Unlocked)
  • This Pokemon has spongy, yet sensitive skin, causing it to burn in bright sunlight for damage but absorb water and heal damaged tissues in rain. This effect results in dealing two (2) damage/action to this Pokemon in sunlight and recovering two (2) HP/action in rain. In addition, the dry skin is very vulnerable to flames and the Base Attack Power of incoming Fire attacks is increased by two (2). The Pokemon absorbs the damage of water attacks and recovers 25% of HP the damage that would have been inflicted.
  • At default this Pokemon emits a continuous light that brightens the environment and makes it easier for all Pokemon to see. While this ability is active, any darkened or twilight state in the battle is negated and all moves used by any Pokemon (friend or foe, or itself) have their accuracy increased by 10% (flat). Boosts from multiple Illuminates do not stack. When toggled, no effect.

Nidoking [Pink] (M)

Pink seems to have some powers over reality. Mowtom has never really been clear on what the nature of those powers is, how they work, or why Pink isn't a Psychic-type. Pink has never answered these questions, mostly because he thrives on being as annoying to as many people as possible. He does react strangely to the name "Charlie" though.

Type: Poison / Ground
  • Ground STAB; immune to Sandstorm. Ignores Arena restrictions on Dig and Seismic Attacks for Arenas in which any land mass exists, Evasive Digging reduced from 6 per action Energy Cost to 5 per action.
Abilities: Poison Point / Rivalry / Sheer Force (Unlocked)
  • By default, this Pokemon's spikes/quills/thorns are coated in poison, and there is a 30% chance of poisoning any foe that uses a contact attack on this Pokemon. When toggled, this Pokemon's natural toxins are more potent. As a result, all of this Pokemon's attacks that inflict regular poison will inflict Toxic poison instead (with the same chance of effect). If Poison Point is toggled and Poison Touch is on its default effect, the Pokemon's contact attacks will inflict Toxic Poison.
  • This Pokemon has a primal response to competition and mating, increasing the Base Attack Power of all its attacks by two (2) when it attacks an opponent of the same gender, and decreasing the power of all its attacks by two (2) when it attacks an opponent of the opposite gender.
  • At default this Pokemon can energize all its attacks with a secondary effect (These are damaging moves that either lower the target's stats, raise the user's stats, or inflict a status condition on the target). The Base Attack Power of every move with a secondary effect increases by two (2), but they will never have their usual secondary effect. When toggled, no effect.

Enchanted Meadow

Enchanted Meadow. It's a beautiful rolling plains in Kalos, covered in a mix of flowers and grass. It's hard to believe that such a peaceful place could hold a great secret, but the locals have sworn that they've seen a very oddly coloured Floette recently arrive in the area, and with it a large number of Pokemon have made their home in the meadow. Locals also report that in the middle of the night, large beams of light have been striking the sky. You're not too convinced that this is anything more than a shiny Floette, but it would probably be a relaxing exploration, and so you decide to have a look on behalf of the villagers...

Player Options
a) Enter Enchanted Meadow.
b) Leave Enchanted Meadow.

Of Mice and Mischief

The path weaves it's way around, traversing the meadow easily. There's many types of flowers, a wide variety of colours. You're quite surprised when out of some particularly tall yellow flowers a Dedenne pops out! You're only a little more surprised when the Dedenne managed to tackle Escavalier a substantial distance away, and begins to Charge power in an ominous manner. You've no clue how something as physically weak as Dedenne managed to take Escavalier that far away from you either...

Dedenne should have 67 HP: 100-(10.67+22.5)=66.83. You didn't deduct EN from it for using Charge before the battle started, so Dedenne should have 64 EN. Please don't roll for crits on Kent, he has Shell Armor. Lastly, Dedenne should be holding a Bluk Berry, not a Belue.
"That went well enough. Now hopefully I didn't overlook anything major."

Can we zoom through the pre-guardian stuff please?
"Hmmm...I'll move on as is."

Floating Blossoms

You approach a pond, nestled underneath a Cherry Blossom tree, the petals floating on it. To the side, you see a Marill trying to feed a Lotad a pair of Wiki Berries, but it seems too weak to do anything. You could sacrifice some of your medical supplies to help the poor thing... that said, part of you sees that the Wiki Berries will itself be useful down the line...

"...I can't ignore the Lotad in trouble, can I?"
"That wouldn't be heroic at all. That would be villainous."
c) Give Lotad 1 Potion

Technically I'm nowhere near actual DQ, but you are right that I should have gotten to this sooner and I apologize for that.

Floating Blossoms

Whilst you can't afford to use all your healing materials on this Lotad, you can spare some. The spray bottle gives out a liquid that makes Lotad feel substantially better it seems. It then dives below the pond, before surfacing with a couple of items on it's back. You're surprised that the items have landed down there, but you take them before moving on.

Performance Grotto

Ahead of you, you notice some sort of elegant display going on. A Kirlia dances for a small crowd whilst a Tropius rhythmically stomps the ground to create a beat, and interested, you head down towards the performance. However, your presence in the area seems to have dispersed the crowd, and the two performers are currently both giving you an angry glare, before they start throwing attacks at you - not your team, but you. Your mons move to protect you, but it seems like you need to patch your wounds up first.

A natural stage, surrounded by logs to sit on. It seems that the stage is partially assisted with some Psychic-Type moves, presumably to help whoever performs on the stage. You feel everything slowly get heavier... it seems that the influence is limited, at least.

-Physical Spread moves do not suffer spread move penalty.
-The Levitate ability is negated.
