The Legend Run: Windswept Meadow (The Wanderer)

~ONLY GLACIER KNIGHT AND THE WANDERER SHOULD BE POSTING IN THIS~

So, this Windswept Meadow place...this drunk ass trainer was talking about it a few nights back. Figured it might be something you'd be into, so I asked him about it.

And?

Well, he wouldn't tell me anything at first, but buying him a couple of drinks fixed that. Says the meadow looks peaceful, but it's really a hellhole. Quicksand, really poisonous snake mons, razor-sharp thorn bushes, the works. Sounded like somewhere to stay away from, until he mentioned treasure.

Heh, sweet! So what are we talking here? Gold? Jewels? Some kind of artifact, perhaps?

He wouldn't tell me, actually...he broke down when I asked. Kept rambling about some knight of flowers or something. Whatever it was, it kicked his ass.

I'll be careful, then. So, how much do I owe you for this one, Harry?

Service, Ben. I see two Nurse Joys in the corner over there, and I intend to take one home tonight. You with me, bro?

Ohhhhh no, I'm not touching a nurse ever again. Not after that disaster.

*Some months ago...*

So, about this "operation..." Look, I can see why you'd strap me to a table, but what's with the scalpel?

Don't worry, this isn't going to hurt...too much...

*Back to now...*

In all fairness, the nun she was with tried to kill me, too.

Hey, I told you she was shady. Seriously, what would a nun be doing in a bar?

Look, are you gonna be my wingman or not?

Challenging Windswept Meadow!

Togekiss(*) [Sethim (Seth for short)] (Male)
"<I hear that if you close your eyelids really hard, it makes your eyes sore.>"
Rico's little brother (their mother was a ditto), Seth has also been with Ben from the get go. A bit of a foil to his Lucario sibling, Seth is generally well-behaved, but also an utter space cadet.

Nature: Bold (+1 Def, -1 Atk)
Type: Normal/Flying
Normal: Normal STAB; adapt comfortably to any surrounding after 3 actions. Able to use Outrage without losing focus.
Flying: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks except under the effects of Smack Down and Gravity, even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Will always hit foes with Dig (except other Flying types) and Dive. Cannot be hit by Dive unless the attacking Pokemon has a size class greater than four (4). Immune to Spikes and Toxic Spikes. Enhanced aerial mobility. Superior senses in open air arenas.

Abilities: Serene Grace, Hustle, Super Luck (DW)
Serene Grace: (Innate) This Pokemon has a blessing which doubles the success chance of its attack’s secondary effects. (eg paralysis from Thunderbolt)
Hustle: (Can Be Activated) This Pokemon puts immense force and speed in its physical attacks, increasing the base damage of all its physical attacks by three (3), but the haste lowers their accuracy to 80% of normal.
Super Luck (DW, Unlocked): (Innate) This Pokemon’s natural skill increases its critical hit levels one stage above other Pokemon, making its normal moves inflict critical hits 12.5% of the time and its high critical hit moves inflict critical hits 25% of the time.

Hydreigon [Lucius] (Male)
"<I am not a barbarian, gentlemen. I'll have you know I enjoy the finer things in life. Like Vivaldi. Or sipping a fine wine. Or dining on the mangled head of that lillipup I just killed.>"
Classy, affable, and truly depraved, Lucius is as valuable to his teammates as he is reviled. Now that I think about it, how DID he get into Ben's team, anyway?

Nature: Serious (no effect on stats)
Type: Dragon/Dark
Dragon: Dragon STAB; more in touch with legendary or special auras in arenas. Able to use Thrash without losing focus.
Dark: Dark STAB; immunity to all telepathic and telekinetic attacks, better performance in all darkened and especially twilight conditions. Can use any Dark-type attack regardless of Attraction.

Abilities: Levitate
Levitate: (Trait) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit. Levitate Pokemon will retain the Levitate trait when they use Skill Swap on an enemy, and will steal the opponent's ability (the user can specify if they want a foe or ally to gain Levitate from a Skill Swap.) If a Pokemon with Levitate uses Role Play, they will copy the opponent's abilities and retain Levitate.

Tomohawk [Elaine] (Female)
"<Of course I knew that was going to happen, I foresaw it!...What do you mean I should have told you that?!>"
A shiny Tomohawk that claims to see the future - though few believe her. Haughty to a fault, her looking down on friend and foe alike gets her into trouble more often than not.

Nature: Modest (+1 SpA, -1 Atk)
Type: Flying/Fighting
Flying: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks outside extremely odd circumstances even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Enhanced aerial mobility. Superior senses in open air arenas.
Fighting: Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions of throwing/grappling moves. Superior reaction time in close quarters.

Abilities: Intimidate, Prankster, Justified (DW)
Intimidate: (Can be Activated) When this Pokemon initially goes out into the battlefield, it generates an intimidating roar or war cry that shakes all opponents on the battlefield, reducing thier Attack stage by one (1). The attack drop is maintained at the end of each round. If an opponent switches in a new Pokemon, Intimidate can be activated again.
Prankster: (Innate) The Pokemon is always prepared for engaging in sneaky tactics and trickery, giving its non-damaging attacks an increase in priority level.
Justified (DW, Unlocked): (Innate) This Pokemon's body reacts to dark energy, invigorating its passions. When hit by a Dark-type move, the Pokemon's attack will increase one (1) stage. A boost gained this way by an opponent's attack will be maintained at the end of each round. Self-targeted attacks do not maintain boosts.

Cyclohm [Karamazov (From left head: Mitya, Alyosha and Ivan)] (Male)
*Ceaseless squabbling*
A Cyclohm Ben had caught shortly after his first battle hall challenge. Each head has a personality of its own, and combined, they're legendary for their inability to get along.

Nature: Modest (+1 SpA, -1 Atk)
Type: Electric/Dragon
Electric: Electric STAB; 50% reduction in paralysis chance from other electrical attacks, perfect accuracy and 30% chance of Protect breaking Thunder during Rain. Superior senses in power plant environments.
Dragon: Dragon STAB; More in touch with legendary or special auras in arenas. Able to use Thrash without losing focus.

Abilities
: Shield Dust, Static, Overcoat (DW)
Shield Dust: (Innate) This pokemon has dust covering the outside of its body that prevents opponents secondary effects from taking place (eg burn from Flamethrower). It does not block direct status moves (such as Thunder Wave.)
Static: (Innate) This pokemon’s body is surrounded by an electric field that has a 30% chance of paralyzing opponents that use contact moves on this pokemon.
Overcoat (DW, Unlocked): (Innate) This Pokemon has a sturdy exterior that rebuffs the elements, making it immune to damage inflicted by bad weather. If the Pokemon is already immune to at least one (1) kind of weather by typing or a different ability, Overcoat reduces the Base Attack Power of all oncoming attacks by one (1).

Windswept Meadow

Windswept Meadow is a serene flat of grassland, stretching out for as far as the eye can see. A river loops around two sides of the meadow, and a rather intimidating bunch of trees come together to form a forest on a third side; thus, the most common entry point is through the fourth side, where a small town resides. You surmise that entering may take you through the forests and streams, but you cannot fathom what might lie beyond those landmarks. Most Pokemon trainers who go into the seemingly calm meadow come out talking about horrors that lie beyond—venomous snakes, quicksand, and more. Determined to uncover the mystery of the Meadow, you gather your strongest Pokemon and set out into the field. Maybe you'll fare better.

Finally done with stocking up on necessary items for your trek into the meadow, you enter the pleasant grass field, hoping to discover what made former explorers terrified of the meadow. You immediately see something strange about the entire flat—although it's all grass, there seems to be a sense of danger lurking about in some areas. You soon realize that the feeling is somewhat extinguished if you follow a certain path; perhaps the grassland isn't as expansive and pleasant as you though it was.

Soon enough, your entry point is but a speck in the distance. As you continue forward, you suddenly hear some rustling in the grass—it turns out that the field isn't quite as abandoned as it seems like it was. Two Pokemon pop out from the grass, looking curiously at you and your team. Despite their weakness, they seem eager for a battle. They probably won't stop pestering you until you fight them...

You continue your journey...

Bird's Nest

As you progress into the meadow, you encounter a rather odd sight. A bush and a tree are present, side by side; the bush has a rather large mound by it, presumably eggs of some bird, while the tree has a small nest in the branches, with small eggs visible. Examining the two pieces of foliage more closely, you see traces of wildlife on both paths—the one that goes by the bush has significantly larger prints, but the one that swings through the tree seems to have sharper prints. Both undoubtedly seem potentially dangerous; which way do you go?

Player Options:
a) Go by the bush
b) Go by the tree

<Hey new guy, you got any ideas on which way to go?>

<Search me. Guard tends to swing both ways.>

<...Wait a sec, what happened to the lisp?>

<What lisp?>

Going by the bush.

Bird's Nest

You take the route by the large bush, straying clear of the tree. As you move along, you hear a sudden rustling behind you. As you turn around to figure out what the noise is, you see two birds dash past you and run elsewhere. Their movement seems to have disturbed some balance in the bush, as a sack that was previously hidden in there tumbles out. You eye the sack suspiciously... What do you do?

Player Options:
a) Examine the Sack
b) Leave the Sack alone and move on

Bird's Nest

You move forward and pick up the sack. As you pick it up, a string that you didn't see before suddenly snaps, sending a dart hurtling straight towards one of your Pokemon! Elaine doesn't seem to be hurt too badly, but time will tell whether it was really hurt or not. Regardless, you open the sack to find some Pokeballs; delighted at the contents of the bag but feeling a bit guilty for your Pokemon, you move on.

Blossom Clearing

As you continue deeper into the green grassland, you come across two rows of trees that seem to be aligned in a rather unnatural way. As you hear rather threatening noises from the two expanses outside of the channel formed by the trees, you decide to go through the channel. Upon exiting through the other side, you are faced with an extremely peculiar site. A small mound of earth is raised above the others, creating what seems to be a small hill. What's strange, however, is that all of the grass and flowers in the clearing seem to bend towards the mound... as you examine it more closely, you discover that there is a strange flower on the mound. Do you pick the flower, or do you leave it alone?

Seed Patch

You pick the Seeds warily, moving with haste. As you stuff the last of the Seeds into a pouch and tie it up with a piece of string, you hear a rustling from a nearby bush. Deciding to take the safe option, you make a run for it. Luckily, the rustling becomes inaudible after a while. Sighing a breath of relief, you set off again, satisfied with the Seeds in your pouch.

You feed Elaine the 3 seeds you get immediately, and she feels slightly better!

Berry Tree Hill

As you continue on your way, you notice a small raised hill a short distance away from a massive grove of trees. The hill seems to be a bottleneck; to the left of it is a rather intimidating forest, while you see the reflective surface of what seems to be water on the right. Braving either of the two doesn't seem to be very smart, so you head straight towards the hill.

As you approach the hill, you see two tall trees on either side. One of them seems to have some
Jaboca Berries on them, while the other one seems to have some
Rowap Berries. While these will undoubtedly help you on your journey and beyond, you can't be sure that the hill is abandoned. Do you take some of the berries, and if so, which ones?

Berry Tree Hill

Sensing a potential danger, you avoid the Berry trees and attempt to get off the hill. However, it seems that two Pokemon are awaiting you at the base of it.

They don't seem angry—probably a result of you not picking any Berries—but they do seem somewhat irritated, perhaps because you're intruding upon their territory. It seems as if they'll be trying to prevent you from getting any further...
